My kids have been there a few times and the last time the dentist made *both* kids vomit. The assistant said it was normal but thats never happened before with our previous dentist in Kansas City in the many years we went there. It seems they probably gave too much nitrous gas but they denied that. The dentist never came out to visit with us, even when we asked. Maybe we are accustomed to awesome care in Kansas City but this place is not kid-friendly, is not gentle, does not explain whats happening, and seems to lie. Worst pediatrics dentist we have been to in the Springfield area. I hope this isnt the standard for a pediatric dentist in this area.

Best dentist for the kiddos! Right now they dont have the egg chairs, tablets, or the other toys because of Covid-19...We hope next time we go back they will have all the fun stuff for the kids again.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Hudkins and all the ladies at Smilezone, especially Caitlin. My boys have had a hard time at every other dentist except this one! They have been so kind and gentle with them and make difficult procedures bearable and even fun for them. This office has been a true answer to my prayers and I am so thankful for them. Dr Hudkins is also really knowledgeable and experienced, it is not hard to trust her expert opinion. Thank you ladies for all you do!

We have been coming to Smile Zone since the kids first started getting teeth. I can’t praise the staff enough for how wonderful and friendly they are. They are so good with my kids. My children get excited to know they have a dentist appointment. They love being a part of the Mighty Mouth Club and look forward to celebrating no cavities. I have met with Dr. Hudkins and Dr. Rockne and love them both!

This is my favorite place, well for my kids. We live in Fort Leonard Wood so we make that drive just because they are the best. And they are so accommodating because we live so far away, so if my kids need treatments they get it done that same day so we don’t need to drive back and forth. The staff is amazing at making my kids feel comfortable and at ease. They let me know everything that will be done to where I don’t even need to ask questions. Well besides when I forget because I have 4 kids to keep up with, lol. But we will surely miss this place when we move to Washington. If you live anywhere in the surrounding areas of Springfield, or even willing to make that drive (like me), bring your kids here.

My kids are 16, 9, 8, 7 and this has always been their dentist. They do an amazing job with the kids. This dentist has an amazing kid oriented waiting area and dental area in the back. The kids even get to watch their favorite movie while getting their teeth worked on :) Definitely helps reduce fear and anxiety about the dentist. They are always able to work us in for emergency visits. All of the staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming :) I would recommend them to anyone!!!

We’ve been taking my daughter (7) to the smile zone for about a year now and LOVE it. She is comfortable with all staff members and they really make sure she feels special. Not only are the rooms top notch but the waiting area is awesome, especially if you have little ones! I’ll always recommend this place! Much better than the smile spot!!!

I highly recommend Smile Zone! My child does not like anyone near his mouth. He has some strange texture issues in that area and wouldn’t let our regular family dentist sneak a peek. Anyway, Smile Zone specializes in children’s dentistry and it’s like they have magical powers to get get kids to open their mouth. 🦷 😁 🦷 He even had some minor work done along with a cleaning and did great. Their entire staff is wonderful with children and the atmosphere is kid friendly and calming.

I highly recommend Smile Zone! My kids are 5 and 8 and are always excited to go see Dr. Rockne. They have a helpful and friendly staff who are great with kids. Not to mention their office is like a kids clubhouse. I was very impressed and my kids insist on arriving early so they can play before hand!

I have been bringing my two boys with autism here for 10 plus years. We are very pleased with the care they get. The girls and Dr H is the best. Perry and I are will continue bringing the boys as long as they will see them. Should be 10 stars Thank you all for the wonderful care they get.

Weve been taking our two kiddos here (ages 3 and 5) and have had a great experience every time! Our son needed a tooth pulled and a spacer put in and they did a fantastic job helping him feel comfortable and pain free. Very impressed!! Would highly recommend!

We just switched over in October 2018 to the Smile Zone after a recommendation for a dental practice that specializes in working with children. They do a FANTASTIC job to make all 4 of my children (ages 14,13,6 & 4) comfortable and safe. Plus- I can get all 4 of them seen at the SAME time! That’s a HUGE win for our busy schedule. Would highly recommend!

My family couldnt be happier with Smile Zone. The kids are encouraged to do well with brushing so they can participate in the no cavity club parties. This is an incredible incentive for our children and unique to this office. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and typically accommodating when work needs to be done, rather than having to take another day off of work. I couldnt imagine going to another dental office.

This place is great. The Office is set up for kids and has awesome stuff they can do while waiting. The girls that work the front desk are always so nice and welcoming! The rooms have TVs and plenty of seating if your little wants you in there. It’s a clean, bright, and welcoming place! BONUS They have great incintives for no cavities for kids also!! They make it fun!

These girls have always been great! Very relaxed environment. My kids always look forward to the trip. Very flexible as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues with anything they go above to help resolve them.

We just took our 11 month old here for his very first dentist appointment and we fell in love with this place! Dr. Hudkins was so good with our little one and helpful with our questions, and all the employees we met while we were there were extremely nice. The entire office is full of so many neat decals and colors, we had just as much fun as our toddler did exploring the waiting area! Our entire experience here was just amazing!

Today we tried Smile Zone for the 1st time & we were all very impressed. One of my girls HATES the dentist & my other daughter has an anxiety disorder. We left there with zero anxiety (even after 2 teeth were pulled) and big smiles! Both my girls LOVED everything about this Dental Office, so did I! The staff was friendly & patient. The Dentist was so great! I just can’t get over how amazing this whole experience was. I’m impressed.

I took my 5 year old daughter to them after finding out she had 4 cavities and after the consultation they charged me $75 saying that my insurance didnt pay since our other dentist had already done an exam. Then, they said she actually had 5 cavities but they thought it would go smooth and they could do them all in 1 visit. They told me they would call me with the estimate and so I made the appointment. When they called me with the estimate they told me it would be $360. I agreed and took her in and had the work done and they charged me a total of $432 for the work and the initial consultation. About 3 weeks later I received a bill for ANOTHER $740. When I called to inquire they were far less than kind and told me my insurance didnt pay what they thought and that i had 3 choices, to pay in their office, to put it on my credit card, or they would send it to collections. The girl told me that it was my responsibility to know my insurance better and that they only do estimates as a courtesy and that they dont actually call and get information from insurance unless you specifically ask for it. I would never recommend this office. They only want to trick people out of their money. My supposed $360 cost turned into $1172. Had they been honest up front I would have found another dentist to take my daughter to. Terrible customer service!! Save yourself the heartache and the hard earned money and stay away!

This place is awesome! My 3 year old daughter had to have a tooth pulled. It was only her second time going to the dentist(The first time was at another office & she refused to let go of me. She was scared.). She never felt uncomfortable at Smile Zone. The staff is amazing all the way around! We will definitely continue to make the 1 1/2 hour drive to Smile Zone! It’s so worth it! :)

This office is great! The way they take the time to take care of a nervous child is amazing. They also do well with worried parents! I thought my child broke her filling on the way home from her appointment and they let me turn around to show them right away. It wasn’t broken. We have been coming here now for several years. We were referred here after our child had a very bad experience with another dental clinic. The staff have done a fantastic job of replacing the negative memories of dentists with positive ones.

I have been taking my daughter here for a year. They caught some early on problems and have went above and beyond to work with us to get them fixed. The facility is SO nice and extremely geared towards children with iPads on the walls, TVs on the ceiling, toys everywhere. They have toys for afterwards too. I love the staff and plan to take all my children here!

If I could give them zero stars I would! Paid $1,000 AFTER insurance for work on my 5 year olds teeth only to be told that 6 months later it all needed to be redone because it wasn’t done properly by them the first time and they expected me to pay for the redo! On top of that they didn’t clean one of the cavities out properly before they filled it so it got worse and the tooth had to be pulled! My 7 year old also had a tooth filled by them that again didn’t get cleaned properly before being filled resulting in him having a tooth pulled as well! Do yourself and your babies a favor and go see Dr. Gardner instead! We haven’t had a single issue since switching to him and he and his staff are amazing!!!

LOOK OUT FOR FRAUDED BILLSI have med pay I got an itemized bill in the mail of what they charged the insurance on what they did on my teeth. On the itemized bill I was charged for a periodontal scraping that I DID NOT have done. I called them and let them know I got an itemized bill in the mail. It said I owed them $140 for a scape I didn’t have done the lady told me I was billed for the second stage up in the cleaning.(something I’ve never heard of)I let her know that I had the itemized bill that did not match the serves rendered. The lady on the phone was very nice to a degree, but said they were going to waive the bill I owed.(Which of course they should, because it never happened!)I called the fraud department at my work and even the Insurance Lady thought that was absurd. (We have private insurance through where I work) She asked for their number and I gave it to herThe moral is just watch your itemized bills my friends.They frauded my insurance at work for dental work that was not done.

I called explaining that my child had decay that I could plainly see on a front tooth that needed to be filled, I was told that the exam would be $40+, the x-ray $20+, and the total for the visit would be $141. When my wife got back from the appointment my kid still had the cavities, nothing was done to correct the problem. They told my wife a full exam was necessary so I paid $141 for them to tell me what I already knew. Ive seen other dentists and was able to have cavities filled the first visit and without a full exam of my mouth. I believe they are used to bilking insurance companies by performing extra procedures, all they had to do was x-ray the front teeth and fill the cavities, I would have paid extra if needed. Now Im out $141 and my kid’s problem still exists.

Took our child there for a cleaning, ex-rays and exam recently. They diagnosed three cavities.... went to a different dentist office for a second opinion ; no cavities at all ! Shame on all of you Smile Zone, super dishonest, Dr. Rockne was trying to make hundreds of dollars off us and put our child through 3 unnecessary fillings. We will never go back !
