We have been to many other pool cleaners and suppliers but Professional pool supply is above and beyond the rest. They are knowledgeable, honest, considerate and they do a tremendous job that shows clearly through their work. They are reliable, flexible and they stand by their guarantees. They were able to make our green pool look wonderfully blue again. They fixed our outdated pumps and check on it regularly as well. On top of that, they are excecute in a timely fashion. We are more than satisfied with the quality of their excellent service and we recommend them to anyone and everyone we come across! They have earned lifelong customers and we will always give 5 stars time and again!
Great shop and very fair. They have pool service available and are the BEST at helping you find the right repair solution to your robotic pool cleaner. Highly recommend for personal and expert service.
I can’t begin to say enough good things about this company! They exceeded my expectations during my pool restoration. My pool was only 5 years old and was literally falling apart due to terrible workmanship regarding the tiles and travertine. The company has since gone out of business so I was stuck with an unsightly, falling apart pool. Jeff and his team came in and replaced the tile and travertine coping and it looks beautiful once again! The follow up to making sure I’m satisfied continues on - even 2 weeks post completion. Try this company out for their expertise in restoration and also their weekly cleaning services, you won’t be disappointed!!
I tried to buy new filter grids to solve an issue with DE getting in my pool and they sent me home with a $30 spider gasket for my switching valve which solved the problem. I have never been down-sold at a pool shop before and I couldn’t be happier. Saved me $200+ and my pool looks perfect.
Review about Professional Pool Supply customer service. I recently purchased a Polaris Alpha IQ+ from Professional Pool Supply. They recommended the unit to me based on Polaris’ high level of customer service. A couple days later I inadvertently cut the cleaner’s electric cable. As it turns out, Polaris’ customer service didn’t quite live up to expectations (didn’t have spare parts for the new cleaner), but Professional Pool Supply made up the difference. They went to great lengths - way above and beyond in my opinion - to keep me satisfied. The difficult situation with Polaris’ limited inventory caused a few wrinkles in the process, but Professional Pool Supply’s Ops manager - Brandon - was extremely helpful and innovative in his work to solve the problem.I’m happy that I purchased this unit from Professional Pool Supply. They’ve won me as a long-term customer because of their willingness to go far above and beyond to help me solve a unique problem.
Outstanding service by Daryll during our chem start up. Always kept up informed of the process and continued follow up on status daily. True professional!!! Not only is he outstanding but he is extremely knowledgeable! Thank you Daryll, for your amazing service, answering all of our questions and giving us peace of mind. Thanks for taking care of our new pool!
Good local resource. Better when Jeff is available.
Great service company. They are always on time and send emails with pictures after each visit. They also explain when/why equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They really know their stuff!
Awesome crew. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They made sure to ask all the right questions to make a proper purchase.
Knowledgeable employees!
LOVE our new pool. We renovated our old pool in October. Professional Pool Supply had a great price, communicated with us regularly, gave us options, gave us great advice, and were so easy to work with. We replaced the coping with beautiful flagstone and replaced the tile, resurfaced the pool, and added some mosaics. Professional Pool Supply also fixed our lights. Since completion, theyve come back to check on the pool and answer any questions. Highly recommend!! We are very happy with our new pool!!
Excellent company! I would highly recommend!Isaiah is an outstanding employee.
I was working in Houston, from out of state. Ive never had people want to help as much as the great people at Professional Pool Supply. Thankyou
Professional Pool Supply was a referral from trusted friends. We used service for 11 months thinking things would get better. The service guy (C) that was assigned came to my residence was very professional always had suggestions and did a good job. The problem started when no one would show up for our scheduled pool cleaning and no one at the office would communicate this until I made the phone call. I even gave them a day to contact me to no avail. It was always an excuse about the weather or something- which was inexcusable. Then when someone did show up it was a new person & this happened on several occasions. The last stranger person (P) that came out to clean the pool left our filter running dry and did not inform me of anything. Again, my husband made the call to the company and manager never called. No one would return my calls in a timely manner (I had to call several times). When we decided to stop service, the company still charged a monthly fee. Again, I had to call and was told a mistake, asked to speak with the owner/manager due to so many problems, but never a phone call back. I even had to follow up about the overcharge. I suggest seeking other local pool services rather than using professional pool supply.
Best pool store in the area. Period.I have been to most of them around, really with no complaints, but these guys have the personal touch. Are honest and will tell you if a repair is something that can be handled easily by the homeowner or if it should be done by a pro. They don’t try to sell you something you don’t need, but will advise of additional products or services that you may benefit from.Prices are fair and will even work with you on bulk orders.Highly recommend.
I thought a lot before writing this review but in the end, I figured people should know and be warned. We had our pool re-plastered, tile installed on the steps and the old tile scale-buster cleaned. Professional was over a thousand dollars cheaper than the next bid. I should have known it was too good to be true. When they came in and prepped the pool, some of the old tiles came lose and I noticed the tiles on the water line between the pool and the spa were hollow and needed to be reset. Jeff, the owner, assured me everything would be taken care of and he had a great tile guy.I had quite a bit of spotting at the bottom of the pool and thought there might be iron stains in the quartz plaster that was put in. Jeff kept telling me it was organic and they would take care of it. I asked my neighbors who recommended Jeff to come look because we have the same water source. This is when they told me they had issues with their quartz plaster too. Their blue colored quartz finish was uneven and spotty. I wish they had told me before I hired him!Anyway, Professional Pool applied a chemical that removed the reddish-brown stains and then we got severe yellow stains. This was all going on near the end of our 30 day chemical treatment period. Some of the tile was still not fixed and Jeff sent over his guy who showed up to finish the work without any grout. He used white thin set as grout and it looks terrible. The chemicals they used removed the yellow staining we got algae. At this point, Professional pool had collected their money and finished their 30 day maintenance period. When we were able to finally get rid of the algae, the yellow staining came back. I tried some chemicals recommended by another pool company but it did nothing. Then, I went to Professional pool and asked them to please tell us what they had used to clear up the yellow. Their store assistant manager, Will, was even rude to me when I came in to buy the chemicals and some filters in our attempt to fix the plaster appearance. Absolutely crazy. Please see pictures of our new plaster and beware. I am going to try the chemicals once again when the weather is cooler. If it doesnt work, we are going to have to try an acid wash which will be a pretty good price and a huge waste of water. Really really wish we had gone with another company.JEFF - I WAITED FOR YOU TO CONTACT ME BUT YOU NEVER DID.
What an amazing experience! Jeff and his team are true professionals! We had our pool and deck completely re-done- and its beautiful! Jeff was constantly in contact and at the job-site- making sure that everything was perfect- and that we were happy with the progress. You can tell that Jeff loves what he does, I have never seen someone so passionate about the work that they do!
I go well out of my way to come here. Pool reading and solid advice without trying to oversell. I’ll keep coming back.
Always get great service and good advice for DIY pool care here. I like the computer based water tests. Very accurate!
These guys are great. Hired to replaster our aging pool and they did a fantastic job. All crews that worked on our property were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Communication was great and they have visited each day after completion to insure that all was good regarding the plaster and water chemistry. Highly recommend!
Jeff was very helpful initially upon selling me my Dolphin pool cleaner, but after the sale was made and as soon as it needed repair that’s where the helpfulness ended. My machine would sit there for weeks on end and each time I called and talked to one of the repair guys the story changed each time as to what was going on and how long it was going to take. Plus the repairs were not done properly. After many frustrating interactions I took my machine to Texas Pro Team Pool Supply and the difference was night and day. I’ll never go back to Professional Pool again.
I have a twenty year old pool heater that just reached 85 degrees. I call home advisor and got three companies. One company said I needed a new heater, the other said they would have to investigate this model and would get back to me (two weeks later). Paul from Professional Pool Supply, looked at it, took it apart in five minutes and show me the defective senor. He said it make take time to locate the part. He left and called me back in fives minutes with part available. We schedule the repair day and time. They are PROFESSIONAL! Reasonable cost for labor and part. I live a distance from the store, but I have started buying my pool supplies from them.
Today I brought my water to be tested and it needed acid, stabilizer and salt. Tyler said add 2 quarts of acid and since it is going to rain early next week you should wait on the other two items. You wont be wasting the chemicals and the pool water will adversely change after two inches of rain. This was very professional of Tyler to suggest this and I told him I would see him next weekend. Thanks Professional Pool Supply for your honesty and professionalism.
I moved into a new home with a pool a few years ago. I knew nothing about pools and had no idea what I was getting into. The owner and staff at Professional Pool Supply took the time to explain everything to me, including the differences between higher and lower cost supplies. They gave me knowledge and choices so I keep my pool looking great and within my budget.
These guys always take great care of me when I bring them pool water to test.
These guys are so helpful!! Always a pleasure doin business there.
I went into Professional Pool Supply today not really knowing how to take of my pool. Tyler walked me through the process and tested my water. After leaving I feel better that I will be able to take care of the pool myself and not have to use a service. Tyler was very helpful.
First visit to this place. Good professional service coupled with reasonably priced supplies. This is now my new home for pool supplies.
Professional Pool service almost destroyed my pool. Their pool service person actually jammed the pump filter in backwards. Water couldnt circulate, pool stagnated, algae grew, etc.
We have had our Pool 4 years now and have been going to PPS from startup. These guys know their stuff and dont try to sell you unneeded chemicals. They test free and have digital pool testing that prints out test results which I use to enter into a database, I created, to compare history. Digital testing is very accurate since we from time to time compare results at PPS to a standard chemical test kit. They run seasonal specials which beat any online prices. Guess the main reason for the 5 stars is their professionalism and knowledge I get from them weekly. They have several trucks running service, repair and pool cleaning/maintenance. Highly Recommend these guys...
Met Jeff the owner and Brandon service manager. Straightforward, great customer service. Good prices!
Jeff and his team are straight forward and fair. We have been a customer for about 8 years. Pools are not inexpensive and can be frustrating. These folks will ease your pain. Sometimes they get spread thin in the busy season, but so does everyone else, and even if backlogged, they wont forget you.
There is nothing professional about this place. The large man that was there Sunday had nothing good to say at all and kept asking what size a fitting was that had nothing to do with what I was doing. Then told me to try and get a fitting and cut my pump hose. I told him it cant be any shorter bc it just first. To that he says they sale hose there too. Im not a dumb ass. Then I left he said sorry and I told him yes you are. For a new place thats not a good way to gain customers.
Saturday the 17th I woke up to a dead keypad on my Aqualogic system, which left me dead in the water...literally. I had about 6 hours until I had a pool full of kids for a birthday party. I frantically started calling all the numbers I could find and happened to get Jeff on the phone. I explained the situation. Mind you I had never shopped with him or even been in the store but I was having a crisis and he was here to help. He spent about an hour on the phone with me talking me through moving the pump, waterfall and heater straight to the breaker bypassing the computer. Thanks to him we had a pool party! Thank you Jeff for rescuing me and being the pool 911 I needed.
Always great service & prices. Knowledgeable and Experienced Staff/Owner
When Professional Pool Supply, Jeff Harper or his employees make a mistake they should admit it, not put the blame it on everyone else. One earns respect in the community by standing behind the work and how they conduct business. If they sell an expensive automatic pool cleaner, also say its the best product out there, dont turn around less than a year later and turn your back on your customers!!! I personally was quite shocked by the bait and switch this company practices. Today I found out something that adds to this mystery!Beware of Jeff Harper Professional Pool Supply__ He sold me an expensive Pool Cleaner, said it was the best on the market, until it needed repairs, not even a yr old, took my Dolphin Maytronics M400 Feb. 14, 2018 - they kept it until June 22, 2018 ! They kept it at their store for over 4 months then gave it back, banged up and not working. The label on the Control Unit appears bubbled as though it was pealed off? I was told it had a new motor and power cord, took it home and it wasnt working. I took it back to the store, at that point very angry, them acting like I shouldnt be angry after 4 months and no pool cleaner and spending around $1,499. for the cleaner less than 1 year before! FYI: A customer doesnt care if its a manufacture problem if a business when selling a product says Its the best on the market! Today after a phone call to Maytronics Warranty Service Center - NO RECORD WITH MAYTRONICS OF ANY REPAIRS?? Very conflicting information. So, what happened? I was supposed to mail this straight in to them or Jeff Harper was to mail it in to them with the Return Auth SC receipt number. HES NOT AN AUTH DEALER nor is his repairman Authorized to work on the Maytronic Dolphins! They have 48 hour turn around on parts. Heard the same from other dealers around Houston. So, why would they keep my Dolphin M400 for over 4 months? It makes no sense. Waste of my time. Beware of a company that only is happy if you are purchasing from them and doesnt stand behind what you purchase from them. This was bad business, I have Myasthenia Gravis, quite serious neurological muscular disease, Im quite ill and dont have time or energy to deal with such nonsense. Even so, people shouldnt be treated with disrespect. I took their word, didnt bother them during the long 4 mo. they had my pool cleaner and my pool had none. Then to find out it was all a farce? This was very cruel treatment to a customer who trusted them to do a service and they them down. I found out the other dealers whom sell pool cleaners give loaners while they are working on ones they sell. So look at Pinch A Penny on Kuykendahl or anywhere else and perhaps you will be treated with a bit more respect. So, just one time I do regret, I lost it with these guys, but it was after 4 months of no pool cleaner, they sent it home with me and it didnt work!
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. This company swindles its customers. They charged 109.00 for a service where they claimed that they would clean our pool, clean the filter and get is all ready for us to swim in. (We recently purchased the house.) The technician came over for less than 1 hour and during that time he managed to backwash improperly, he managed to not clean the pool - tons of leaves and other debris left, he said that was all he could do unless we paid more money. When we called the manager and told him we wanted to pay more money to get it all up and running he listed tons of additional charges. Needless to say that we got a second opinion and found out that Professional Pool was just trying to rip us off. Professional Pool basically told us that they were going to have to completely rebuild our pump, that we were going to have to repair our plumbing etc... Thank goodness we had, had a pool inspection before we bought our house and new that none of this was true. Our new pool maintenance company is great, but that is another post. BUYER BEWARE.
My husband and I just recently purchased a home with a pool and stopped into this store to take a look around. Everyone that works there is professional, friendly, and very helpful. We took in our water to be tested and it was very high in chlorine. The Ph level was also off. They advised us that the chlorine being high can cause a discrepancy in the reading for the Ph and to bring it back mid week to have tested again so they can advise us on if we need to adjust the Ph. Weve been into the store a couple of times and have had a wonderful experience each time. We will continue to use them.
Good people to work with.
Service work was good but they lost the expensive power supply to my cleaner in their store with no offer of compensation. Will be using someone else in the future.
Jeff and crew are the best, even though I hate spending the money.
These guys know theyre business and back their products.
They are talking care of my pool for three years now....yes there are some minor issues but Im satisfied overall
Extremely helpful.
Great service
Staff is very heloful!
Gets the job done.
Very good
Pricie.!
