I have lived in Reno/Sparks my entire life. Patrick has been the only barber in town that has been able to consistently cut my hair to my liking 100% of the time without fail, not to mention his outstanding service and positive attitude.Patrick keeps his workspace clean and is professionally courteous to all of his customers while still being friendly. Shys had a relatively small amount of reviews, but all of them were promising. I got to my appointment with Patrick a few minutes early -- the scheduled appointment time is a great! We introduced ourselves and he took the time to understand what I was looking for. Then he proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts I have ever received! The atmosphere was relaxed, the conversation was easy and friendly, and he was playing some great tunes out of an old record player.10/10 would recommend - classic, easy going barbershop.

Patrick does a great job on my course difficult hair. Im in my 40s and know how hard it is to find someone who can do a good job on it. Hes personable, presentable and just a all around great guy. Pats often booked 2 weeks out so reservations are a must! Im glad I found him!

Real barber shops are disappearing. If you want a genuine barber shop experience, you have 2 choices. Get a time machine or make an appointment at Shy’s. No, they don’t have White Claw and Bourbon in the fridge. They don’t have a waiter making you a drink while you get your beard trimmed. What they DO have, however, is a genuine barber shop experience. If you have the time, sit back, enjoy the conversation and music, and get the best hair cut in Nevada. When you walk out of here, you’ll feel like a new man. Just do yourself a favor and book an appointment BEFORE you leave. If you don’t, you’ll be paying a random customer to have his appointment. Been there and done it, and as always, it was worth every penny.

Weve been coming to Shys for a few months now and his work is impeccable. He takes his time and does a wonderful job. His shop is clean and very well kept. I wish i could give him 10 stars.

Because of my busy schedule I needed to change to a barber close to my work so I could get haircuts on my lunch break. I hoped I wouldnt have to settle for a Great Clips in the name of convenience. A google search led me to Patrick, and I couldnt be happier. Patrick is a quality barber in both scissor/razor skill and in chairside manner. I enjoy my haircuts and the conversation. My husband goes here, and we recently decided to get our 9 month old baby boys hair cut, and my 4-year-olds hair cut as well. We made an appointment for all three today. Pat is so great with kids and my husband and both my baby and my 4yo got amazing haircuts. Pat was patient with my baby and made sure his first hair cut experience was great. We will for sure bring the kids back and my husband of course will return again. We are very very pleased with our experience.

I stopped by Shys Barber Shop today. Its a new barber shop in Sparks. It was great to be able to get a haircut on a Saturday! Most shops are closed on Saturdays.I got an awesome haircut from Patrick, the owner. The shop is really nice. Patrick was very friendly and gives a great haircut! I will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

These guys know what they are doing. Here you will find a real barber that knows how to cut mens hair right rather then a cosmetologist.

Looking for the authentic barbershop experience? Look no further than Shys! I went in last night with very high expectations and they were met and exceeded in every way. Great classic barbershop atmosphere. The owner is friendly and charismatic and he gives a top notch hair cut. I had my hair cut with a beard trim and a straight razor finish. Wow! He did an amazing job, I dont think Ive ever been this happy walking away from a haircut. From a great conversation and a mellow playlist to go with the cut, to outstanding talent on the haircut itself! I was thoroughly impressed and the best part is the price was right! I know guys who pay through the nose to get the service that Shys offers a a reasonable price. Im so happy I found this place, cant wait to go back. Check it out, you will too.
