I have utilized the services of Morley & Berrett for the last several years. I needed to find a CPA in lieu of the sudden death of our previous tax individual. I have been so impressed with the entire group at Morley & Berrett from the office personnel to the individual CPAs. They are professional, competent and easy to work with. I have been pleased with all of my interactions with this company as they have advised me on several tax related issues which were far beyond my knowledge base. I would recommend this group to anyone whether taxes are basic or more complex. They really know what they are doing.

I must say that I am really surprised by the rating and reviews on this business. I retained Morley & Berrett for basic accounting services for my small business on the recommendation of a friend who does bookkeeping herself. They sold themselves well, and got us set up on Quickbooks, training my office manager to do payroll on it. I was promised by Spencer that they would be back within the next couple weeks to get me trained on the rest of the system, so that I could keep track of everything even though they would be managing the fine details. I was slightly irritated when I could not get Spencer to consistently respond to the random questions that arose, and I never got a commitment on a time to meet for the remainder of the training he promised me. Then I started receiving fines for quarterly reports that had not been filed. When it was time to get my yearly taxes done, I told Spencer that I needed to have them done and in my hands prior to the extended July 15 deadline for another personal reason. I kept getting the Im working on it response. To the point that I in frustration showed up at the office. I ended up running into Spencer in the parking lot and he told me that he had finished them, but found a huge glitch and would get it fixed and right over to me. A month later I was still calling Spencers personal phone. At this point I would only get a response by calling the front desk. By the second week of July, my personal and S-Corp returns were finally sent to me....with my marital status on them not only wrong, but not even matching wrong between the two. Then theres the LLC, which wasnt done at all, until July 14, and it still was full of mistakes. Throughout all of this, Spencer blatantly lied to me repeatedly (including in writing via emails.) When I finally spoke to Mark Berrett to obtain his email address, he seemed rather uninterested in the fact that I stated that I would be emailing him with concerns. I sent him my email with basically all of the above and waited for a response. Not. One. Word. I cannot begin to say how disgusted I am.Laurel M. Harris, DVM
