Well,To start she wouldnt even listen to me when I said take a very small amount off. And the head massage and wash was gross and very awkward. For a $21 haircut it was honest garbage. Never going back. They dont listen to your requests and just get to chopping. So if you actually care how you look. Dont go there you will come out disappointed.

I have never experienced a bad service like I did at the Man Salon on 41st. The lady who cut my hair did not care about what I had to say about how I wanted to cut my hair. She cut it as she wished. I have visited places much cheaper than here for much better service. She grabbed my head like she wanted to rip it apart. I went there because I wanted to treat myself with hair wash after, but I regret going there. Never again. Very disappointing that they charge $21 for a hair cut with such low quality costumer service

My husband enjoys the special treatment given clients at The Man Salon. He was referred there by his cousin and has always received a great cut and beard trim. After his last visit he even commented about the hair products that his stylist used in his hair. He will definitely be heading back when it’s time for his next cut.

Awesome place. Just went for a haircut and was offered hot towel, shampoo/rinse after the cut which I usually do when I get home. Dont like the loose hair. And a shoulder massage. Very reasonable. Samantha did an awesome job on my hair.

First bad experience! Mustve been a new gal. Very rough, thought she was gonna rip my mole off my head! Kept combing my cut hair into my eyes, didnt blow it off and then asked how it looked so far? Eventually blew off the cut hair, but only a cursory blow across my face/eyes. Forgot the conditioner. She did a decent job on the massage, the aggressiveness was helpful.

This was my 10 year olds second time coming to The Man Salon and both experiences were awesome. He isn’t one for haircuts and Calli made this experience a great one. She took time with him, made him feel comfortable and reassured him that he was doing great while he sat in her chair. If your child is nervous, has a fear of getting haircuts or is in The Spectrum, Calli will definitely make them feel at ease.

I honestly came here with my boyfriend. The staff are friendly and I like that they had a massage chair. My boyfriend seemed happy with his hair cut.

On the whole, this place is great. Not the cheapest in town but I feel you get a good deal for your money, especially if you’re a dingus who just says “shorter” when they ask you how you want your hair cut. They’ll work with you to find a good haircut.

I actually try my best to get all my haircuts here. Safe price as lower end barbers but you get so much more . You get free shampoo and free massage with each haircut. Staff are amazing and super friendly!

I lived in Sioux Falls for 2 years, going from one barber shop to the next trying to find some place that cut my hair even semi well. I actually avoided the Man Salon because I figured it was too upscale for me. I finally decided to try it out after seeing their ad over and over at the local Stampede games and Ive never been happier with my haircuts than I am now. Its the only place Ill go now and I tell everyone to try them out. Dont waste your money trying out other places, just go here and be happy you did.

I had a great experience here, and recieved a pretty good haircut to boot. My hair stylist was a very nice and chatty women, who kept up the conversation whilst not delving too deep. Overall it was a refreshing chat and an even more refreshing hair cut.

Excellent value and service! Only a few bucks more than a haircut at a discount place, but you get so much more. Sure, you get the haircut, and that is great, but after the hair cut you get a hot towel on your face as they shampoo/condition your hair along with a scalp massage. After that, they finish up with a shoulder massage. I had my beard trimmed for only like $5 and they did better than I can do myself. Highly recommend and I dont think Ill be going back to my regular old haircut.

I go here every 2-3 weeks and get great service consistently. I dont usually schedule an appointment and I always get in quickly. The girls here make great conversation and do quality work. If there is something you want touched up on your haircut they do it happily. I have yet to have a bad experience here in the last two years that Ive gone. Very relaxing environment. Highly recommend to all of my guys!

I find it annoying when you live out of town and call and they won’t book appointments for the day, but say walk in appointments are available. We walk in, none available for 3 hrs. We call the next one, same thing. Can’t book an appointment but you can walk in. We drive to the next one. 2 hr wait. Lost my business.

Super over priced. I feel like they have a hard time keeping staff. My stylist I ended up liking left and now I go somewhere that offers the same services for much less.

First visit was awesome. Got exactly what I wanted. Went back after one month for a cleanup of the exact cut, by the same stylist. I guess Tuesday is the day not to listen to the client. Asked for just a trim around my ears and neck. Before I knew it, the sides and back were almost shaved to sthe kin, major features of my haircut gone and a part was shaved into my scalp. Specific things I mentioned I wanted done were totally disregarded and now it will take months for it to grow back. I know its just hair but thats not the point. This will be my last visit to this location and probably this barbershop all together. If youre not going to listen to what your paying client is telling you or wont ask questions to ensure you understand what is being asked, maybe shearing sheep would be a better fit.

Im a huge fan of the Man Salon locations in Sioux Falls, but was disappointed by my visit. I researched and selected my hairdresser carefully when making an appointment, but was sent to another dresser on my arrival. My hair dresser skipped the shoulder massage. Its unlikely that I will return to this location.

Ruined my cut. Everyone praises the massage, but I dont need a shoulder rub, I need a good cut.I had specifically asked for someone that specialized in fades to shape it up. Even after I explained exactly what I wanted, she just quickly cut it all the same length. Plus she said that they are not licensed to do shaves. I would have been better off just going to Cost Cutters. Avoid this place.

I went here a few weeks ago and Ill give you this advice... Go to a real barber! Dont get me wrong the girl who cut my hair was very nice and easy to talk to but the end result was the same... I got a total hack job! I went in for what was just a cleanup to trim the sides of my head and neckline. The blending into longer hair was awful and made my head look square shaped. And unfortunately I thought $6 for a beard trim was a good plan.. So wrong. It wound up with one side of my neck line almost a quarter inch higher than the other. And Im one of those guys who doesnt have to clean up my cheek hair line on my face because it naturally thins out but she still took the trimmer to.. Only one side of my face! And way too low down on it in my opinion. I spent more time at home with my own trimmer cleaning up and fixing just my beard than I spent there in total. I know hair grows back but long story short I wont be going back.

I have been going to The Man Salon since we moved to town in the spring. I have yet to get a bad cut. I was going every 4 weeks until winter can but plan to go every 8 weeks. Bridget is very nice and my hair is always cut perfectly. My son told me about the Salon and he was right. Great place, good people.

I recently went into The Man Salon to get a haircut. One of my coworkers reccomended this place because tyoy have the best service in town and the best prices youll find! What I got was far from that. When I showed the stylist the haircut that Ive always gotten and loved for the longest time, the lady proceeded to say and I quote That looks like an oversized maxi pad on your head! while laughing at it. Ive had this haircut for a year and gotten many compliments on it. I was upset, but respected her opinion even though it was completely inappropriate. She said I should get a fade and I figured Id try it. She proceeded to cut all the sides and back of my head with a size 3 razor head all around and didnt even touch the top. I also was in to get a beard trim since mine is pretty large at 7 long. She proceeded to blend the very top of my side burns and beard. She cut a handful of long hairs that were sticking out. Announcing she was done, I was confused since I said I wanted to cut it down half way from what it was. So I spent $40+ on being insulted about my haircut, something that shouldnt even be considered a beard trim. I left angry and went to a different hair salon. I spent less than $30, got my originally wanted haircut, an actual beard trim, and had the friendliest hair stylist Ive ever met. Dont go to The Man Salon if you actually want a good experience.

My nephews afro-textured hair was cut pretty silly. I asked before hand if they could work with his hair type and of course they said yes. Over all good customer service and fair pricing. Probably not the best place for Afro hair.

Just had a hair cut and gave them a 2$ tip just because I’m nice but iv never had a worse hair cut in my life, like i’m very disappointed in there quality, I got nothing of what I asked. That’s my honest opinion.

Absolutely the only place in Sioux Falls to get a proper haircut for a man. The walk in experience isnt the most personal, but if you find a stylist that you like, definitely keep a business card. Dont forget the tip.
