My son has some very difficult cow licks to deal with. Alpha is the first place where we feel like they were dealt with wonderfully! My kiddo is super happy with a haircut for the first time in his 15 years of life, and has sworn to me that he will never go anywhere else to get his hair cut ever again.

Really great mens barbershop. Luis cut my sons hair and did a fantastic hard part. He took the time to figure out my sons hairline and did a really clean cut. The place is very relaxed and has a nice vintage/modern vibe. Will be coming back again!

This is a great place where they only take walk-ins. You never have to worry about booking ahead and wait times are short.

I came in for a cut after meeting the owner (Luis), while out grocery shopping. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Luis is an expert stylist that does superior work. Very nice shop in an easy-to-access central location. Fun atmosphere, nicely decorated. Family-oriented/operated, locally-owned business that I plan to visit again.

Without question one of the best places I’ve ever been to. If I’m not mistaken it’s a husband and wife that own and operate this place and they put their life into it. They do great work they’re super nice and personable. You need to be lined up? You need a beard trimmed? You stop into this place. The best in Sioux Falls. I don’t care about all those bougie places, and all that extra, that charge crazy. I want to be lined up beard and hair. Alpha gets the job done. Every time. The only place I go for a cut and trim in town.

Luigi is a master with the clippers, Ive settled with what I believed to be hair cut because I didnt want to be rude. With Luigi Im always satisfied. Like I get a better haircut then I expected to get, plus I dont have to tirelessly explain what I want to someone that doesnt seem to get it. With Luigi I say what I want, he ask a few questions, and walla, better then I envisioned. Also good conversation. 👍

Visting the area for work, look around for a barbershop. Read the review, seem great and came to The Alpha Barbershop. Sadly left disappointed. The lady Ashley messed up on my haircut, she maybe a new stylists because she kept referring to the other male barber by the time they both tried to fix my haircut I left with my head nearly shave and still had to pay $22. Dont recommended.

Luis did a picture-perfect skin tight fade. Hes got a customer for life! The shop has a pool table. Very classy joint with lots of room. Once this social distancing is over, might be my new post-work hangout. The hours are so flexible.

This barbershop was a suggestion due to lack of availability during COVID. I called ahead to inquire if they required appointment or allowed walk ins and was told over the phone in a rather annoyed tone that they only do walk ins and to come by the shop around noon because at that time he would have help with clients. I arrived at the shop at 11:50am to be told he was still waiting on help and had 5 heads ahead of me. Sat in my car and waited because there were too many people (all unmasked) in the lobby of the shop. I ended up waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes before I went back in and politely asked if we were close to being next and he acted bothered by my asking and said no, that he still had 3 heads in front of us. Awful first time experience, lost a customer due to irresponsibility, unprofessionalism and terrible manners. We went to another barber shop who rocked my sons hair, gave us a discount and got us in and out in an extremely reasonable amount of time as well as abiding by CDC and mayoral guidelines! Alpha shop has a few things to learn!

One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten. The fade was pretty clean tho not gonna lie. But I told the dude don’t touch my line up and he does then to make it better he pushes it back like 2-3 inches. Wouldn’t recommend it at all
