Awesome people. Great diesel mechanics that know what they are doing. I give them 5 stars because they impressively identified and fixed a long standing problem on my truck. I have an older truck that was losing power and had been to different shops to no avail. Dont expect express service because they are usually swamped with oilfield trucks and they may be a little undermanned imho. Thank you Bubba for coming through for me

We started out strong coming here. Left truck for 5 days simple work to be done. Gearbox seal. Engine fan not kicking off. Trip to get alignment. Flew home for my 5 days return to only having the seal replaced. They had only one mechanic on duty, however 5 days is a long time to not get simple work done.

These are good people who do good work at a fair price.

Please take the “add a second stop “ and the time flags off!

Really good customer service and fast workers! The only bad thing was that I was told to drop off my trailer at the empty lot across the shop and guess what My truck got stuck, I had to pay to get it out. I would higly recommend Shaffers but dont park at that empty lot.

My husband is OTR owner/operator and had a breakdown. Needing roadside assistance; I googled the closest near him and found you guys (no relation lol), but reading the reviews made up my mind who to call. They were AWESOME!!! Came, diagnosed problem, ordered parts from International. Next morning they were there, fixed him up and followed him a ways to make sure his problem was fixed. HIGHLY recommend these guys!!! And were VERY reasonable! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

The work they do is excellent cant knock on that. I wish they would have worked with me on what they charged me. I am an owner operator. $3600 for a used power divider they see your not from Louisiana they will take advantage of the situation I am from Miami Florida. I feel that they could have worked with me a little more. This is your typical highway robbery and when your stuck in the moment not much of an option. All i have to say the prices were not reasonable thats all.Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.”

This is a family Business and Bubba Shaffer and sons are really good at what they do to get you going and HONEST in their work. They are not cheap though....They wont touch the super big jobs especially on a detroit diesel. They recommend across the street at United Diesel which are ripoffs and not honest but there are not alot of choices around in that area so you cant blame them......For the Shreveport area chose SHAFFER and SONS

I had to fix it myself

Talked to Bubba Thursday about my car problem. Too late in the day for them to get to me. Next morning I was there when they opened, 8:00. They got to me at 8:30. I know its a truck shop, working on a car, but damn. Remove a fan belt, take off A/C compressor, intall bypass pulley. 3 bolts. Mount didnt fit quite right, so had to use a grinder for all of 5 minutes to get the mount to sit flush...Seriously, if I had been at home, 45 minutes tops, and Im not a mechanic....Charged me 1 1/2 hrs? Really? $128, serious gouge to someone on the road.. But thanks for fixing my car...

We bought a used motorhome in which they had replaced the engine, including thermostat and water pump. There might have been some initial bubbling into the overflow after we picked it up initially. On the way through Vicksburg the engine overheated and the fan clutch was replaced at a Jackson, MS, dealership, per Scaffers advice by phone--$650. Still overheating a bit using the AC Once we were back in the South and using the AC, Scaffers replaced the radiator--$750. It seems that they might not have done a test drive after replacing the engine, nor check the fan or radiator. They warranty only the engine. Now the AC only operates on high, although low and medium worked before I dropped it off with them a few weeks ago. And the RV electric steps no longer worked after I picked it up. But they were very nice.
