UPDATE: I went back, to a different one on the people here, and had a much better experience. Decent cut by a very friendly barber. Good attention to the neckline and not rushed. Have increased my rating accordingly.Old review:Haircut was fine - for $22 you cant complain - but terrible hair down the back. The person used a loose piece of plastic as a cape, and instead of getting it tight on my neck, tucked it into my shirt collar (??). As a result it basically functioned as a funnel. To make matters worse, as the barber went along they would periodically clean by blowing downward with a hair dryer - literally blowing whatever hair had piled up downwards, into my shirt.By the end I was so physically uncomfortable from wearing a shirt full of hair that I just told them the cut was fine just so I could get out of the chair.
Nice shop, good hair/beard trim
They take COVID seriously, are very good at working around the mask while keeping it on.Ive been going here for about a year, and every time I come I get a good haircut at a good price and am in and out in a reasonable amount of time (20 minutes from getting in the chair to leaving the shop.) I will probably keep coming here as long as I live in Magnolia.
Always friendly and all do good work at a reasonable price.
Clean, no frills barbershop, not a full service hairstyling salon. Good for a quick trim of hair left to grow unchecked in months of Covid19 lock downs.
My toddler son is terrified of buzzers. While he hates the wait (the noise of buzzers is still there), they are so sweet with him that he readily warms up once on the chair. They do such a great job with only scissors and are so reasonably priced!
Great convo and a great cut!
Nice people, good service
A haircut cost $17.00!Because of that Ive been coming here for the last 10 years, and they like me because I tip them $8-10These ladies are all really nice. I dont want customer service just a haircut!I dont talk much at a hairdresser so this place is great. If you just want a cheap haircut come here.they are fast, but you can always ask them for specific hair cuts or thin out the back more or whatever!
Ive been twice and had good experiences both times. The wait is not long as they regularly have 3 staff cutting hair. They are polite and seemed to care about doing a good job. Mens haircut for $15 is about the cheapest in the area.
Would not recommend. I was looking for something different than the rotating staff at Great Clips, so I tried somewhere local. The woman cutting my hair seemed timid about actually cutting anything. She barely applied any pressure when using trimmers, so the length was too long and often uneven, and hair growing in different directions was missed. She also seemed to have no systematic approach to cutting hair, jumping from one thing to another and back again, and Im pretty sure whole parts of my head were missed. 17 bucks is sort of cheap for a hair cut, but not cheap enough or good enough to bring me back.
The best barber shop in the universe. Fantastic cuts at a cant be beat price by wonderful women. Oh, they cut womens hair as well. No regrets ever. Go there.
They each have different ways to cut hair here, so you just have to find one of the stylists you like out of the 3 or 4 ladies here. Though, theyre all good!
I am a guy and I typically get a pretty basic haircut: clippers up the sides and scissors on top. This is no-frills barber shop is the only place Ive found that gives me a haircut for under $25 that I dont need to fix when I get home.
The barbers are really good! - fast, friendly and no appointment needed. I love this place!
Good to excellent, and since this is so handy yes be back as needed4/19/21 update post pandemic prices have jumped 23$ for men its still well worth for seattle the ladies here are thorough
Bad service and even worse cut.I myself cut my own hair due to military experience at the barracks. I probably cut hair for three years out of the five years that I served in the Marines. I went to get my haircut from this barber shop and they really messed up my hair.... It has been a while since my last cut and I was excited to go to get my hair cut at a barber shop. During the cut, I noticed that she was going over the right side of my head more than she did my left side. I just kept a note of that. After the cut, I looked at the mirror and realized how much hair was missing on one side! I do not know about the other barbers there and I dont know my barbers name. There really was no customer service provided and I am highly disappointed. I do not recommend this place.
Ive been going to Sylvia for 18 years, always professional & courteous with reasonable prices.Id highly recommend this Barber shop to anyone looking for a consistently good haircut.
Best haircut in town if you want no frills, no snobbery and no nonsense. Good price and a good cut, I even take my little boys there and they get great haircuts w/o having to pay a fortune due to bells and whistles that keep the kids busy.
Went in for a cut and a beard trim. The haircut was sloppy and uneven, and the beard trim was both too short on one side and too long on the other. I had to fix everything when I got home. One of the worst cuts Ive had in my life. Definitely will not be returning.
Great place for a reasonably priced men’s haircut.
Really inexpensive, always high level of care and precision for your basic cuts. Wonderful people.
Great haircut and seldom a wait
Excellent service at a really good price
Best Haircut in town by the Barberettes
The ladies are AWESOME!!
Excellent work!
They said they could cut my hair but their attempts to were really bad I will not be coming back here
Silvia is the best
Always a cut above .
