I asked if they could do an oil change and safety check on my Mercedes before a trip I was going on.Even though they usually book repairs at least a week out, they told me to drop it off in the morning and they would try to get to it within the next few days. 2 hours later my car was ready to go. The whole thing was less than half of what I had been paying at another specialty auto repair shop just for the oil change. Now I can take that trip sure that my car is gonna be fine. I will be returning for any future repairs.
Very helpful in helping diagnose and solve an issue with my amplifier - I needed some help replacing it, and they went out of their way to fit me in their schedule and help me out.
Have been going here for several years over two different vehicles. Will continue to be going for as long as I can. They are very good. Everybody is very friendly and great at explaining and helping you make the best choice. Fast and reliable.
I had the oil pan gasket replaced on my 2011 335i, and the price was surprisingly low for such a big job. Prices for parts were fair and did not appear to be marked up compared to what I could find on FCP or ECS. Communication was great, and staff is very friendly and honest. I will definitely be a returning customer.
I wanted to thank Josh, Stephanie for their outstanding service in getting my vehicle back on the road after I purchased my first Audi last month. Josh was very knowledgeable and explained what I need after they done a full inspection of my vehicle. I would recommend them than using any dealership. They are reasonable and only specialize in European vehicles. The bonus is if you need to leave your car at the shop you get a free loaner car just pay for the gas that you use. I give them 5-stars. Professional, Good Customer Service, On-time and friendly. You guys are the best.
Honest and dependable. Friendly staff. I’ve brought 2 different vehicles (BMW and Land Rover) here and have always been treated well. Thank you!
Called for a price quote on a very simple part installation, did it myself in a few hours but wanted to save the hassle of doing it again myself. Was told to send an email. About 4-5 days later I received a callback (the fact they called back is why its not 1 star). Was told $3500+ for an oil pan gasket + timing cover gasket. With the oil pan removed, the timing cover comes right off, but they made it seem as if its some insanely hard project and quoted an insane price. Almost disrespectfully insane. I will never come here if my life depended on it, YouTube and Google saved me $3500 that day.
Found these guys by chance, had them do some work on my car and Im never going anywhere else. Have been a loyal customer since. Staff is friendly and takes the time to explain everything until youre satisfied and understand. They have earned my trust and they really know what they are doing.
Great place for your 🚗 cars to get fixed
I have had my 2002 525i since 2013. Precision has helped me with ALL maintenance until current 2021. I am now upgrading to a X3 and I will continue to use their service. Steff and Josh and all of the mechanics have been nothing but friendly, honest, patient and so accommodating through the years. I will continue to use them as I own BMWs. This staff is like any close family.I can trust them. Thank you Precision!
I used this company as a second opinion for an issue with my car. I stated what the first place said and towed my car there. In 3 days they called me and said they did all this work replaced the starter only to remove it when realizing that wasnt the issue. The conclusion they came too was the exact same as what I had stated to them from the gate and charged me $500 for it. As my mother had passed and my deep struggle right now I have limited cash. I bought the same car and needed parts from the one they are holding on too but couldnt come up with the cash and they pretty much told me Im screwed and towed my car off to some unknown place I cannot find. Terrible company and terrible, manipulative service. I am deeply hurt and am screwed because of this place. They greatly affected a young mans life.
Been going for years. Good quality work, honest shop.
So pleased! 1987 e28 BMW 535is with 240k miles. They were genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to work on my car! When was the last time anyone experienced that from their shop? Replaced original (!!!) clutch on my daily driver. Installed the performance flywheel I sourced on my own. Made a few exhaust mounts and replaced the original transmission mounts. Their work has been flawless after 5k miles, and the total amount charged was very reasonable (and under their original estimate). Communication was great (I was travelling while the work was being performed), and they called often to inform me of the progress. They even called specifically to let me know how cool they thought my replacement performance flywheel was as they were installing it. They graciously provided all the replaced parts at my request. This team knows what theyre doing, they take pride in their craft, and they definitely satisfied a customer with exacting standards. I will be taking my e28 back to them for the more serious stuff thats coming in ~60k miles.
Precision Motorworks is hella cool 👌
I dropped off my car the night before my appointment and then had my timing belt and water pump service finished the same day!!! Will definitely be coming back!!! And recommending this shop to everyone I know with Volvo’s
Just wanted to express my thanks to Josh, Anthony, Kevin, and Stephanie for getting me and my Range Rover back on the road. After Land Rover of Lynnwood spent 3 weeks and was unable to correctly diagnose a battery draw issue, Precision Motorworks was able to do so, including the repair, within 3 business days. I even got the choice of a cool Mini Cooper stick-shift as a loaner during that time. Josh handled the scheduling and explanations professionally and without me needing to call first, when other repair shops (Lynnwood Land Rover!) usually wait for the customer to call. I brought the car in before the weekend to get it in queue, and it was done by Wednesday afternoon. The issue was in the instrument cluster which needed reprogramming and a software update. It starts up quickly again and runs super smooth, and I couldnt be happier.Highly recommending taking your older-model European cars here when they need to be looked at; the manufacturer dealerships usually have techs that understand only the more recent models. Precision Motorworks has the experience, history, and the knowledge to handle those needs.
Spent $1,600+ at this place for the check engine light which came back on a day after picking it up. Then the car kept shaking violent during idle. Took it to Viking Auto Services and they told me it was a coolant leak. I called to tell Precision this multiple times and even requested to speak with the owner no calls or follow ups. I had to drop another $2,500 on repairs at another shop. Left a one star review with no details because it didnt seem worth it but since the new owner decided to show up to my place of work and make a scene I thought I should elaborate.
I recently had my vehicle serviced here after over a year of frustrating electrical and other issues. I had received steep quotes at two shops with added unnecessary work. PM quoted me way below the other shops! The owner worked on my vehicle & within a few hours, it was ready & better than Id imagined. He even rearranged the wiring so it was more safe. I felt so relieved as I drive my children in this vehicle. Im a very pleased new customer and will be recommending this place!
Good shop here. Happy to see the same guys here over and over. Even the new service guy I know from another Volvo shop and he is straight forward, honest and most importantly knows his stuff.
Service was prompt, courteous and thorough. They took the time to answer all of my questions and explained everything on my bill in great detail. Communication was excellent and they tailored their services to meet my needs. As someone who gets anxious going to the mechanical, I felt totally taken care of.
I brought in my 2001 Audi TT for a major oil leak problem. Not only did they diagnose the problem quickly, but since they had to Go Deep to repair the problem, they suggested that some other parts should be replaced while the engine was apart, saving time and money in the future,They also finished when they said they would, and near to the agreed upon price.I highly recommend these guys for ANY repair - big or small.
Fantastic service for my Mercedes. Prices were affordable and drop off and pick up was very easy.
Took my car in for a brake change and they did an amazing job. They were on time, on budget, and extremely friendly. Ive done all my own car work my entire life, but since moving into the city, I no longer have access to an area to perform any work myself. Point being, whether Precision knew of my car knowledge or not, I knew they werent taking advantage of me and were being fair with their pricing and diagnoses with my vehicle. Will take my car there again.
Because they are the best mechanics for foreign vehicles
Love these guys, they do great work and are all about family and trying to be understanding when dealing with people and their needs regarding their vehicles. Definitely recommend. Josh especially is a very helpful and caring individual. Thanks again guys.
We have a new mechanic now. These guys are awesome.
Good automotive knowledge
They go the extra mile to take care of their customers here!
I came in with some excruciating sounds emanating from my BMWs engine and me frantic to get to work! The moment I walked through the front doors I was greeted with friendly staff and they worked to get me on my way as fast as possible. Not only were they quick in getting me a loaner car so I could make it to work, but my car was ready much quicker than I anticipated and I was able to be on my way. Thanks, Precision Motorworks, you really helped me out!
Was on a road trip and my older car finally kicked the bucket. These guys diagnosed it for me as dead-on-arrival and were kind enough to let me keep it on the lot while I sorted out a wrecker who would take it. Cant honestly speak too much to their mechanical skill as they only diagnosed me, but service was excellent. Would recommend.
I met a gentleman at the car wash who shared what a good company this is. I took my car in and spoke with Josh. He took the greatest care of my car and earned my business from Phil Smart. Highly recommended.
I brought in my 01 BMW for repair. They were very courteous and respectful. They got back to me very promptly with the issue and gave me a fair quote. I was very pleased with the speed at which the got it done as well. All in all it was an extremely pleasent experience.
I have given Precision $10,000 in service business over the years on my 2003 5-series. In general, the guys are responsive and are liberal on their loaners. I have had a couple of issues that required rework. Most recently a valve cover gasket started leaking only 8,000 miles after they replaced it (and I have since moved to another city). However, they stood behind their work and provided a partial credit.
Performed pre-purchase inspection on my (new) BMW 3 series. Price was fair, inspection was thorough, and service was prompt. Very satisfied!
Best bunch of guys around, trustworthy as they come.
Ive been there once so far and enjoyed the experience. I have a 1999 BMW 328i that was leaking engine coolant. They were honest with the price and time to get it fixed. They even had a free car to use while mine was in the shop. ($10.00 worth of gas keeps it free)
Hallelujah! Thank you so much for fixing my Volvo! I thought she was a gonner and you were able to give me more miles on her. One of the techs even stayed late so I could pick her up after work. Thanks for the great customer service!
In and out quickly and efficiently. Thanks to all the helpful staff
Excellent talent. Honest. Reliable. Not the cheapest but worth the few extra dollars. Free loaners. Thats huge.
They also wash your car before you pick it up... I FINALLY tried them instead of the MINI dealership for something simple and they aptly brought to my attention some other things I had forgotten to address that if left unchecked much longer would have caused very costly damage to my MINI AND they beat the dealer price on everything I chose to have them do. Its not a glitzy shop but the convenience, competitive pricing and service quality made it the right choice. The only thing you could say the dealer has up on them is that the dealer will loan brand new MINIs out while you are in service so you get to test drive other models, which is fun, but for me the hassle involved canceled out the benefit over time.
Weve brought all 3 of our Rovers here. They are kind, skilled, and honest. I wont go anywhere else.
My bio: I have been a customer over the course of two years and I have two auto shops I go to (Precision Motorworks in Seattle and Central Automotive in Kent) in order to get two opinions on services needed and compare prices. I have had multiple services done at both places and the work seems to be good (have not had to go back for rework or found any damages resulting from service).Tbh, I prefer Central Automotive more because their facility is much nicer with a seating area and snacks and my very female intuition tells me that Central Automotive treats women better. I dont have qualms making this statement because the sad reality is women tend to be treated like they dont know what they are talking about when it comes to cars. Not always but lets be real: it happens.I drive a 2011 BMW 328i.Pros: Precision Motorworks does have loaner cars available but its not guaranteed so you need to check with them beforehand. Ive had them do service on my car twice and they had a loaner for me one time. The other time they said they were out.Precision Motorworks gave me a write up of recommended upcoming services and prices the second time I was there which makes it easier for me to keep track of what they say is wrong with my car.Cons: This place is pricey. I initially chose to come here because they gave me a low price for one service (brake fluid replacement), then they told me my serpentine belt is about to come off and needs to be replaced and quoted me a high price. I shopped around and found Central Automotive was able to replace the serpentine belt at a cheaper price. Central Automotive agreed the serpentine belt needed to be replaced asap. The second time I went in for service, they told me my oil filter housing gasket was leaking 7/10 and needed to be replaced. They quoted me $500. I took my car to Central Automotive for a second opinion and after looking at my car and showing me photos, they told me there is some seepage but they cant in good conscience tell me I need service for it. I just need to keep an eye on it during oil changes. So there you good. Id say Precision Motorworks is honest and correct 60-80% of the time but I dont trust everything they say (I get a second opinion if I have time and its not an emergency) and I DEFINITELY know they do not have the best prices.
Ive been using Precision Motorworks for all of my BMW repairs since January 2007. They have taken very good care of my car and have been extremely honest. I could tell dozens of stories... One that comes to mind is when I had an exhaust leak... sounded like it was coming from the head... could have been VERY expensive to pull the whole engine out, etc - and I was ready to pay through the nose. (And they knew I was prepared, we talked about the cost). Later that day, I walked out with a less than $80 bill for diagnosis - it was a loose spark plug. They could have tightened my sparkplug and charged me $600 and I wouldnt have known. These guys are great and they know what theyre doing.
I dont think they know Minis as well as they think they know Minis.
These guys are great. Excellent servicing and family like care and free loaners.
I would give them negative stars if I could. I was handed the 2002 volvo I currently drive after finishing school. Precision Motorworks took advantage of the fact I was young and unknowledgeable about volvos. For the past two years Ive been in Seattle, theyve put a sticker on my windshield for an oil change at 3 month intervals, which is more frequent than necessary for Volvos. Additionally, I have taken a broken driver seat handle to them about three times now. Each time, they speak with such confidence that theyve permanently fixed it. Four months later, the handle breaks again. Mind you, I only drive my car on the weekends, if that. They are all talk and no show for their fixes and services. I have zero trust for employees here.
The shop is clean, and the work is really good. I had them check through my cars and they spotted everything that was wrong with them. The service isnt cheap... when has good service ever been cheap? People dont buy volvos or BMWs without knowing its a great car to drive, and will be expensive to maintain. The thing that really stood out to me was that John, the owner, memorized the service levels for the car and quoted them off the top of his head to me. I also love that they use Volvo filters in their changes, which are WAY overpriced BTW, (do it yourself!) but thats the key to keeping the car going forever like it should. If you want to cut corners go somewhere else.
The good: I brought my bmw here and needed it fixed fast. The shop quickly got to work, found, and fixed the problem. They were professional and polite. The bad: it was expensive. This is certainly partly due to the vehicle being expensive to have fixed.bottome line: Dont expect a good deal on the cost of repairs. But expect fast and professional.
Thanks Guys! For getting Betsy back to me in time for the weekend roadtrip to the mountains. Ill be back for sure.
This company surely doesnt deserve your business let alone be in business...there dishonest crooks! Read...*** IF YOU WANT to be RIPPED OFF!! and have YOUR CARS BODY DAMAGED to the tune of $1500 plus...then this is the shop for you.Brought my car in for a coolant leak & found out it was a simple replacement of the expansion reservoir tank....they placed the part in my car without calling me first & tried to over charge me over $330 for installation & the part before I came to pick it up...I didnt have that much money and asked to OWNER have the part remove cause I didnt have that much money at the time but offered to purchase the part which they charged me $60 more for and reinstall myself only cause I felt bad that the mechanic had to take it back out.* A simple expansion reservoir tank on Ebay cost: $40 they charged $100.* Tried charging $230plus for installing the expansion reservoir tank that took me 10mins to install myself...it was literally two or three clips to pull out & install myself...it was so simple a 10 year old could figure out how to do it without instruction.BUT THIS IS THE BEST PART-* After Paying....I walked out to find the entire PASSENGER SIDE DAMAGED from the BUMPER TO MID DOOR with a gouge through the paint and creasing into the metal.(the mirrors points down when backing up and the damage went to about where you wouldve ended up ripping the mirror off!?)* I politely confronted the OWNERS of the business who was the only person there about what I found. The mechanic had taken a rag and tried to rub out the gouge which scratch the paint further and subsequently ended up proceeding to be the only clean area of my otherwise dirty car.It was clear that the mechanic had damaged my car pulling it out of his shop and the owner and a witness standing there that took me to pick up my car could all tell it had just happened. The owner after saying he would talk to the mechanic who conveniently was gone when I arrive. The mechanic...literally looked homeless, had problems with drinking or something, and could barely tell me where to go when I walked into the shop & I imagined paid poorly. The owner even had the audacity to say something to the effect that...dont you have insurance. I called 911 and was called back by a Seattle Police Officer who informed that unless it was done maliciously, it was a civil matter that had to be taken up in a small claims court.Believe it or not this was the second & last time they tried to rip me off for work they did on this car..which involve a $200 bill for a diagnostic test for a fix that cost less then $10. Dont learn the hard way like I did & save yourself from being ripped off or having your car damaged.I am a Public Servant of 12 years fighting forest fires & appreciate honesty & people/ businesss with integrity, especially when it comes to my ability to commute and pay my bills...these guys dont deserve your business...if I help one person avoid going through what I did then...amen.Precision Motorworks is garbage!
Fast service, fun loaners. Love this place.
So, apparently a shop that has two signs that say LAND ROVER service, as well as LAND ROVER painted on the front DOES NOT SERVICE LAND ROVER! Tried to take my 97 Discovery to just get a diagnostic done and they claimed they dont do land rover at all despite claims on 3 different locations (including street signage). Waste of a trip. Update your signage. Seriously.
