Got into an accident where the whole right side of my car was scratched & dented. Heres a picture of the front of the car. Brought in my car to Mr. Chau & Mr. Chau, the friendliest people ever. Mr. Chau was able to fix it in less than a week for a great price and was able to help me find a car to use in the meantime. After getting the car back, it was as if it was brand new (second picture)! What a great experience and I will always bring my car back there. Thank you to Dennis and his father for doing such a great job.

Great price on the diagnostic of my vehicle. Sadly the engine had seized and I call salvation army to come pick it up. It took them 5 days to get the vehicle and Chaus was extremely understanding throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend them.

Someone backed into my car so I came to Chau to fix my headlight, replace my brake pads and the huge scratch on my front bumper. He did wonderful works at prices way below the average estimate in the area. He also ensured I get my car back in time. While the business hours are between 8:30am to 5:30pm, I notice a few times he came in at 7am and left after 6:30pm. Of course the gate is usually locked during off business hours. Him and Dennis are very hard working individuals, I would absolutely come back again. I strongly suggest coming in for service.

An honest mechanic at a very reasonable price. Do not let the exterior of this place deter you. After 3 bids to fix my bumper, this place was by FAR the lowest. In fact, I was a bit skeptical at first because of how low the bid was but Im very glad I took the risk. Ive had no issues with the bumper, it looks brand new, its highly sturdy, and its been 2 years since the repair. Chaus also went above and beyond, fixing a separate small cosmetic issue for FREE.

When my AC wasnt working during them summer, I passed by Chaus auto to get repairs done, initially it was thought to be low refrigerant, but after the recharge my AC was still not working.Dennis had his tech take another look at my car and found that there was an electrical issue with the AC system. Dennis got the work done without any extra charge other than the initial refrigerant.I always recommend Chaus auto for any repairs or maintenance, and I will continue to use them for any work that I need done.

I have had an a couple things done at Chaus. Service is always done quickly while I wait and the staff is courteous. I will be bringing my business back in the futur .

Took a road trip from Socal to Seattle awhile back. Stopped by Mr. Chaus auto shop for some preventative maintenance. The front desk had a vefy friendly and respectful guy wearing glasses. Got in and got out fairly quick in a orderly fashion. Will sure come back again the next time I head up here.

Started up my car one morning, kept dying on me so I figure it was time to bring it into the shop. Another shop tried to sell me a new starter, took it for a second opinion at Chaus. Id been to his Chinatown location before and had a great experience there so I decided to try the new Rainier Beach location. He was very honest and told me that it was only my battery that needed replacing. I was taken care of and back on the road with a new battery in less than half an hour. Will be back for more work when my car needs it!

I give two stars because Chau was wrong about what was wrong with my Hondas engine, but at least he diagnosed my engine for free. He said I needed the whole engine replaced due to anti-freeze getting into the spark plug chambers.Later, I went to Sorensens Automotive and they fixed the problem. It was an ignition cap causing problems like the car stuttering, engine hesitation, even a flashing engine light warning. That fix was about a hundred dollars. Chaus proposal was over $2,000 to replace my whole engine.The car works now. It runs well, and not a single spark plug was replaced.So, in the end, I say that I expected better from Chau. Even if he was right about the anti-freeze, shouldnt cheaper fixes be considered so that the car keeps running? What if the anti-freeze was only a small issue compared to a big issue that affected the engine greatly?As for the anti-freeze, I spilled some into the throttle body. This is where air enters the car. On January 2, 2020, I asked a mechanic at Chaus if this would cause green residual to show on the spark plugs. He said yes. The next day, I asked Chau this, he said no. However, Chau seemed to understand my question as if I spilled anti-freeze onto the top of the engine (which I did not).I hope this review makes Chau consider his repair strategy for future customers.As for other customers, if you get a mechanic saying you must do some huge repair, then get a second opinion. You need the truth about the issue.Also, the Buddhist deities in Chaus shop attract Gods wrath. I speak that for Chaus sake so that he repents of statues and turns to Jesus, the Breathing God.

I cant say enough about how amazing this auto shop is. I recommend them to anyone looking for a honest and affordable repair shop.

Hung Chau is the owner, he fixed my Lexus RX450h himself. Fair price and excellent service.I have my insurance deductible is $2500 so I brought my car to 10 different auto body shops for quotes. The quotes range from $3000-$4500 to REPLACE the whole door ( ridiculous for this small dent), I almost pay $2500 deductible and claim insurance for the difference, the process will take 2 weeks to 1 month to get my car fixed. Luckily, I found Chau Auto Repair, he told me he can fix it without replacing the door in 3 DAYS (Unbelievable!), half price of whatever other shops quoted me!!!!!!!!I’m quite nervous to let my luxury, 4 months old car in his shop and I don’t know him, this is the first time I have to fix my car!
