Never ever get anything installed from this circus. i made the mistake of getting blinds and a front door ordered at the same time. blinds arrived about 2 weeks after i paid for them. installer came and 2 windows were the wrong size one window had not been measured. no big deal. takes 3 weeks to get the reorder. installer comes wrong hardware on the 2 windows and wrong size on other window. numerous calls go unreturned. no one showing the slightest care they they keep screwing up. front door arrives a few weeks later. installer shows up 3 hours late. unpacks door that has a huge gash in one door. installer installs doors anyway. tells me they will just replace the one door later. when i went to the store 4 days later no one had ordered a new door or even knew about the problem. i was told by someone they would get back to me. after no call i called a few days later and finally got a new door ordered. a month later on the day of install, 20 mins after they were supposed to be here i get a call that the new door is messed up another 3 weeks. amazing how such a large company can mess up so many times and no one held accountable. ill never use homedepot for anything again after this nightmare
I have had the worst experience with Home Depots door services. We ordered a custom door that was supposed to be delivered on June 9th. It was sitting in their warehouse beginning May 26th and they did not even call to tell us it was available until June 2nd. Then the service company, Greencraft, was supposed to install our door came out for the installation only to find out we had lead in the door frame. First of all, a lead test should have been done at the time of the estimate. Secondly, they told us they would call us first thing Monday morning to reschedule since it would take all day to install the door now. Well on Monday we did not hear anything from Greencraft. Tuesday, I called and left a voicemail. Never heard back. At the end of the day, I decided to call once more and they finally answered only to tell us our project had been cancelled. THANKS FOR THE NOTICE! I called Home Depot to tell them our issue and they told us to come in for a refund. Well the lady at the service desk was extremely polite and apologetic even though it was not even her fault. However, they could not find our door at this point and she promised to call us back the next day and offer us $50 off our door + free delivery once they found the door. The next day arrives and we never hear from them. So I call them the following day and our door is out to be returned and we will not even get our door now. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. NEVER USE HOME DEPOT FOR ANY INSTALLATION SERVICES!!
