I brought my vehicle in to fix trunk lock that would not open, after giving me quote they called and told me that unfortunately they could not fix my issue…they didn’t charge me for looking into the problem which I was MOST GRATEFUL.They were very kind, caring and I was very impressed.👍👍👍👍👍

Good prompt service. I needed a quick unscheduled oil change on a Saturday afternoon and they had no problem taking care of this for a reasonable price. Four instead of five stars because of the oily handprints all over the fender and drivers door... otherwise, service as expected.

We had brought our truck here several times and multiple times we have had them lie to us about what is wrong with our car. This last time they told us we need $2,000 repair. freaked out and went to 2 different shops to see what they thought.... both said that it was fine.

I was in desperate need for someone to tell me why my car was squealing and leaking under the front. Seth was really kind and got me in immediately. He discovered that was something was leaking onto the belt and causing the noise. Instead of telling me how much it was going to cost he had actually researched it and found that it was probably covered by my warranty and the dealer ship should cover it. I was shocked with his honesty! These days it’s hard to find, especially with mechanics. My dad has used them forever and now I know why. They are my go to for auto needs from now on. The guy who worked on my 2001 Subaru outback was very knowledgeable abt subarus since he had an old forester that he was keeping running for himself. They gave me a free pressure test and said I was all good. Very upfront and trustworthy, these guys know what theyre doing and wont rip you off.

This was the third time in as many months that I used this location. Everyone is so helpful.Yesterday my car broken-down in Phoenix. I had it towed to Sun Devil. The drivers never droped the key in the slot they just left it in the car. When I called to check the status this afternoon, Seth was so apologetic because they did not realize I was waiting on them. He checked the car, found the key and 45 minutes later my car was brought back to life. These guys and girls are amazing! I will only go here from now on. THANK YOU!

I specifically came to Sun Devil Auto for the great customer service and honest work with honest prices. I have had great experiences with SDA in the past at their north mesa location so I was not worried taking it here. I was not getting the professional interaction I was looking for at the dealership. Matt and Seth helped me over the phone and helped me get back on the road when I needed it most! I had my car towed to the location, they called and texted me when their diagnostic and service was complete, great communication. My 2011 Kia Optima will continue being serviced at this business.

I made an appointment for an oil change during my lunch break. As time was approaching the 1-hour mark, the Sun Devil Auto Team checked in with me to keep me updated. Due to uncontrollable circumstances, it was going to take longer than the hour. They offered me a rental, or even a ride, back to work so that I wouldnt be late. They went above and beyond to try and accommodate without me having to request it. They were friendly and as speedy as they could be. Excellent Customer Service!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Myself and my family will NEVER RETURN TO ANY SUN DEVIL LOCATION. Took my car in for an A/C charge like I do every year. SETH told me that there was a freon leak in one of the hoses and would cost $700 to repair. After calling family, I was told we knew someone who could do it cheaper. Seth said they could offer a 10% coupon to sweeten the deal, but I still declined.After taking it to another shop, they told me that no hoses were leaking, BUT that there were grill clips missing and hoses were unplugged. It just needed the A/C charged like it usually does.Not only did Sun Devil lie about needing a new expensive repair, they also tampered with my car after declining their services. Not only is that terrible business, they potentially put the life of someone else in danger for declining their service.

Took my wife’s car here for service. Repair was more involved and a higher price than anticipated... however it was evident that they were being honest & straightforward regarding options which is most important to me. They also towed the vehicle to their shop at no cost. Very responsive, professional, and timely. Hoping I don’t need repairs on our cars for a while, however when I do I’ll definitely use their service again!

My daughter needed struts on her SUV and they quoted her $1100 ...basically the same quotes they gave most of their other customers I read on their reviews. My daughter took her SUV elsewhere and had it repaired for one half that amount!! Rip offs!!

5 Stars for David my mechanic. Absolutely the best working on my BMW. I will not trust anybody else to touch my car, Not even the dealer! David goes above and beyond to give me the best price, honest work, making sure my vehicle is in pristine mechanical condition. I am extremely particular and pride myself with my vehicle, David also treats my BMW with the same attitude. He is extremely intelligent and BMW’s vehicles and how to repair and maintain them properly. I had a simple problem with my moms Toyota Avalon (shes 90 and not up to auto maintenance). Called Jose and explained issue; he said, easy fix, stop in now. I was there in 10 minutes; Jose was up front and said, Ill get it right in... He did. 10 minutes later a tech drops off the key fob - all done. What are the damages? I ask. None. Come back when your car really needs something, well be happy to fix it. Dude! Now I dont have worry about any car work for my mom (big relief actually). Shes too old to drive it herself, but her care givers drive her everywhere in that car. If they have any issues going forward - weve got an easy answer I trust. Thanks Jose!

The other day my car wouldn’t start and when the auto shop in the strip mall where it was parked gave me a quote to diagnose the problem that seemed a little high I called sun devil auto to get a comp which was on par with other shops in the area which was about 1/2 the price of what the initial shop was quoting. The guy who answered the phone was really friendly and sent a tow truck to pick up the car. I was impressed with how straightforward and simple they made everything.

This shop is AMAZING! Seth and all the other guys at the Scottsdale location are the best! I didnt know what to do when my A/C quit working, I knew I couldnt afford diagnostic test at dealer if it were to come back non covered, but I had nothing to lose by bringing it in to Sun Devil Auto, so I did just to inquire...they drove me to work, did diagnostic testing for FREE, kept me informed the whole time, got replacement part directly from the dealer and get this at the end of the day I picked my car up blowing nice cold air! All at NO charge to me! I never felt like they were trying to pull a fast one or were after anything other than getting my car back in good shape! Truth be told I was referred to them by a friend who is also in love with their customer service and auto service!

I have used Sun Devil Auto a few times now for an oil change and was previously impressed with the service. When I recently took my car in I was told that I had urgent concerns that needed to be addressed immediately. They did a whole song and dance telling me there was orange coolant all underneath my car and how dangerous it was to drive. I spent the weekend worrying about it and took it into a friend’s shop to find out NOTHING WAS WRONG with my car. Sun Devil Auto tried to SCAM me out of $1,100. I am a young female and I feel like all the guys that participated in trying to take my money should be ashamed. I will never recommend Sun Devil and warn everyone I know that this shop cannot be trusted. What a crummy way to do business. I read through your other reviews and clearly this is a pattern for how you run things. Next time, think about if it was your wife, girlfriend or daughter being scammed out of money, time and energy. Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Shame on Sun Devil Auto!!

My driver side window suddenly stopped rolling up on my 2014 cruze. I decided to call Sun Devil and spoke to Jose. He was very professional and let me know immediately that he knew the most likely issue and that he could take care of it. Jose was able to fix my window the day I dropped my car off. Ive been to Sun Devil Auto to have my rear brakes/rotors replaced and 60k factory recommended system flush, tire rotation, etc. Recently, I had some issues with my front brakes making noise. Seth walked me through what needed to be done. In fact, he showed me where the problems were occurring with my front brakes once they were removed. The level of service is always great. Ive been to Sun Devil Auto 5+ times (for regular oil changes and reasons described above) and never had anything other than a great customer experience from Seth and the team. Theyll take care of you, I highly recommend their service.

Been using the Sun Devil shop at E San Victor in Scottsdale for years.Jose and Ronny have always been honest with us and the work done in the shop is excellent. On this last trip we had a leak and after their inspection they just tightened a hose clamp and did not charge us. I highly recommend this shop.

Absolutely the BEST! I recently purchased a car off Craigslist and the previous owner Jerry rigged the brackets for the catalytic converter. It partially popped off while driving and I was screwed. I managed to put it back into place but it couldve came loose again at any moment. I googled and found that sun devil was 10minutes from where I was. I called and explained my situation to Matt and he told me to bring it on in. Only MINUTES before closing. I drove it in and Jose took some info from me, drove it into the garage, lifted the car up and solved my problem in a matter of minutes! I recently moved from out of state and was worried about who or where Id go to for my car service needs. No need to look any further. I told Matt and Jose that Ive found my mechanics! Customer service is next to none, a little pricey but you get what you pay for and their shuttle service is assume!! I have been coming to this shop for the past 2 years.Every time I go in, everyone is extremely helpful and nice.I bring all 3 of my cars here and have never had an issue.Especially being a woman it is hard to find an auto shop I can trust.Andrew and Jose have always taken care of me and my familys cars with no trouble or hassle. After getting oil change here I was told I need $3,500 in repairs for oil leaks and shock leaks. My car is only worth $7,500 so I wasnt too happy about it. Luckily I took it to Midas and Firestone across the road, they both told me the suspensions were in no need to replace and that the oil housing replacement would only run around $600. Typical Auto Shop upcharges for over exaggerated issues.

Arrived early for 8 a.m. oil change. Waited in office for half an hour until I discovered - by walking into the shop - that the work never started as the oil technician had not arrived for work - would still be sitting there if I hadnt looked into the delay. Things happen but I suggest you inform the customer - give the customer the option to re-schedule or wait indefinitely. Had oil changed at Greuichs,

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! I took my car to the Sun Devil Auto at 8919 E. San Victor in Scottsdale and they told me I needed at least $2500.00 worth of repairs, when another honest shop repaired it for $126.00!!! The facts are as follows: I am a single woman in her sixties on a fixed income. I took my car into Sun Devil Auto on October 5, 2018 for regular maintenance. I also told them to check the alignment because I had smacked a curb on the passenger side while driving. They later called me and said the frame was damaged along with the radiator core support, and it would cost a minimum of $2500.00 to repair, and maybe more depending on what else they found. I had them repeat it because I was so shocked. They told me I might want to check with my insurance company regarding payment. I had them do the regular maintenance and picked up the car. I asked if it was driveable and they said yes, but not for long distances.I then took the car to Back to Basics, the auto shop that I used when I worked downtown at the Attorney General’s office. I asked them just to check the frame because I had smacked it on a curb. They later called me up and said I had bent a small piece of metal that I didn’t need, and everything else they could put back in place for $126.00. When I picked up the car, I asked whether it would be readily apparent if the frame and radiator core support had been damaged. They said it would be. I then told them what Sun Devil Auto had said and what they attempted to charge me and they were shocked as well.I went to Sun Devil Auto based on the glowing reviews I read here, so I wanted to warn people that they are not an honest shop. Please get a second opinion on any serious repairs they say need to be done!!

Jose and Matt are ahhmazing. My whole family come here and has been for years. I had no appointment but had to get my breaks fixed or lose my job. They told me to come in right then and there and got work that would normally take a few days done in one and saved my job. Then the next day they did the same thing for me with my other 2 cars, and did both cars same day. One just and oil change and another new breaks. Always fair and only tell you what You really need. My family has a good and close relationship with everyone especially Matt and Jose. Especially Matt and my Dad Mike Wasserman, Wont ever be going anywhere else. I dont know why the address says Scottsdale, this shop is right off the i10 on ray. the address is just as messed up as the service I was provided there. I have been waiting for this day where I can write a review on this and help the community and lead as many people away as I can. NEVER AGAIN. 4 years ago I got a lexus for a cheap price, it was my first car when I was 17. I had the car checked out and inspected at sun devil at this location, and everything came back alright. that was when I put my trust in them. then one day i had a crack in my radiator, i went to them to get it fixed. the car drove completely fine as i brought it into the shop. when i got the call that my car was done. i walked from my apartment about 6 or 7 miles away to the shop, in the RAIN to pick it up. when i get my car i turn the key and the car was having trouble starting. i tell the guy at the desk and he said it was running like that when i brought the car in. he refused that it was something they did. i ignore this and try to drive home, as i am driving my car studders to a stop in the middle of the road. i am now pushing the car in the rain in the middle of a busy intersection. wet, frustrated, mad, and tired after the long walk i get the car into a gas station. i call a tow truck and bring it back into the shop. after a brief argument at the front desk about how it starting running horrible after they worked on it, they took a look. turns out they forgot to put something back in. the car ran fine again once they fixed their mistake, so how did i make it to the shop if it was running like that when i brought it in? 1 year later, i sell the car and i am told by a mechanic the frame shows signs of damage and was poorly welded back together, and the car should have been a salvaged title. no one saw that when i got my full inspection? i hope the service has improved since then

I came with my husband in the hopes of someone helping us out with our car issues and we heard good things about this place. We have a little loyal bucket and were a young couple so that (somereason) people think they can take advantage. The dark tan bald guy that literally looks high complained of how my car brakes be a pain in the ass quoting his exact words. As customers, we came for your service and you conplaining and talking to us like kids wasnt right. I dont care how annoying fixings cars can be but if its your job and you chose to work that job DONT COMPLAIN otherwise leave and get a career. Not recommanding this service to anyone. He seemed lke scammer from the obvious questions he asked us. Just beware.

Please do your self a favor and dont take your car to this shop. I took my car here because it was making a squishy noise. After apparently the repair was done I pickup the car and on my way to Tucson the shut down. It had to be towed to the next car shop and their diagnoses was that either the repair work was done poorly or the work that was done was unnecessary in the first place and did not fix the problem. When I called Sun Devil Andrew the manager was very unpleasant on the phone. He did not return my call as discussed and does not even answer my calls.They also generally use your car as a shuttle service for the other clients. They have bunch of kids working and driving your car. Please stay away from them.

Went in for an oil change and had to have some other work done. While they were working on my car they broke another part and made me pay for the part. I had my car for a few days and it started to rattle so I took it in to another shop to have it looked at and they had not put on all the bolts after they had finished working on my car. Do not take you car here!!!!
