Honest. Fair. Knowledgeable. Dropped off my truck on a recommendation from Lopers Performance- go see Mike & Derrick. Coming back to town after working a contract, my 5.9 Cummins was making a ticking sound.Could have been any number of things, so I wanted to get it looked at. I was told the diagnostic would be $125, and they’d be able to get a better idea of what (if anything) was wrong with the truck.Having ran cetane booster and injector clean, chasing down some other possible things to eliminate the noise, such as replacing the idler pulley (which was making some noise) belt.. fuel filter, oil filter, top off all fluids (oil level to quiet down the upper valve train) - the noise persisted.Valve adjustment, noisy lifter.. injector kill test. Exhaust leak. I wanted a well trained tech to get in and make sure we could isolate the source of the noise and eliminate any potential issues that needed to be addressed. They ran through the list of concerns, pulled the belt, listened and still heard a slight tick, but weren’t too concerned. They proposed a valve lash adjustment, and then informed me of some costs - while letting me know there is a chance this might not actually eliminate the ticking sound. Removing the valve cover could require a new gasket, however, the new gasket has a $500 harness built into it, and that upon inspection, it could need to be replaced. The valve adjustment would be a couple hours of labor, plus parts... getting in over a grand. Slight pinhole exhaust leak found, not making noise.Repair not recommended based on high cost/negligible benefit. Conclusion: in the end, they felt safe giving me the the truck back without the need for repairs- and waived all diagnostic and shop charges. This alone tells me the shop will absolutely be 1000% honest when it comes to any costly repair, regardless of the cost.Recommend this shop with the highest enthusiasm and confidence.
The time to diagnose was clearly discussed when I dropped off my excursion. They called and discussed all leaks, not just the concerning leaks. They were very respectful of timing and clearly discussed all cost associated with repair. When all work was done they did a great job of cleaning the bottom side of my excursion where oil had covered a bunch of other parts. Nice work and thanks for the help. Matt Smith
Super repair facility. Friendly and good
Ryan and his group of employees are very knowledgeable dealing with diesel trucks. I would recommend their shop
Thank you for the great service and attention to detail!!!
Great service and they know there business for sure,
They were recommended by Tech Plus Auto next door. VERY honest! Fixed fuel leak on top by filter. Same pricing I have paid before. Very knowledgeable! Thought I had a bad starter. Towed it in and got a call expecting to hear a high dollar repair. Was told truck was ready. Bolts came loose on starter. Removed bolts, cleaned and tightened. Truck is ready, and he charged me $40. This place is a real find. Will always take my 2002 F250 7.3 liter to them.
Great sevice And fair prices. Mike and crew do a fantastic job and are honest.
I found diesel doctors by accident. I was having some issues with my Ram 3500 dually. When I went in the staff was very straight forward about what the issues might be and the potential cost. I was contacted when the problem was found and given a new estimate, which was substantially lower than the first. The work was performed in the time promised and the bill was exactly what it was estimated to be. I later replaced that truck and when I needed work done on my new truck I took it to Diesel Doctors. I explained what I wanted and was assured that they could do the work. Some issues did come up and I was contacted immediately and the situation explained. I was then given the choice to continue or not. When the work was completed the bill was LOWER than the estimate. If I ever need work done on my trucks this shop will get my business. I find the staff to be knowledgeable, yet very honest about opinions. The costs are less than I have found elsewhere and I have never felt that this shop did things that were not needed or options offered that would raise my bill. Outstanding.
Mike,Went out of his way to put alot of effort into my truck to fix it right. He took the time to properly diagnose the electrical problems that arose with My 2005 Dodge cummins Diesel.I was really impressed with his communication skills honor, honesty and integrity. I found that Mikes handshake is worth more then a lawyers 7 page warranty contract. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say back in the day.ILL BE BACKThank you for caring about your customers!
Excellent place to take your truck. After going to a few other mechanics about the same problem, these guys finally got it done. The work was done in a timely manner and the cost very reasonable for the parts and labor. I Highly recommend them.
My F350 was leaking oil..stopped by the shop to see if I could have it looked at..Mike took a quick look at it in the parking lot and instantly found a couple spots that were leaking..When I had the worked performed the next day, I was charged exactly what I had been quoted. They also took the extra time to completely scrub n clean up all the oil under the motor. Mike also has a vast knowledge of diesels, and will take time to thoroughly explain any questions you have..will def be back for all my diesel needs. Thanks guys..
I spoke with Mike at length over the phone, he gave me sound an knowledgeable advice about a number of diesel engines (to put into a Toyota Land Cruiser) and confirmed what I had read about one for sale. He was not rushed in the conversation, and very kind and smart! This was back in 2012/2013. If I ever get a diesel I will give their shop my business. Thank You Diesel Doctors, every business needs customer service like yours!
I love diesel trucks they do good work
John got me in right away for a service. Dropped it off at 8am and it was ready by 2pm. Had a complete list of things that were found. All things were to consider/look out for down the road. I felt the price was fair. Thanks fellas for taking care of my Dodge.
Always get amazing and honest service with competitive pricing.
If its not done right, that would make you guys pre-med.
I like when Im not pressured at a mechanic. I also like when they state if we dont fix it you dont pay.
Very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. I dont plan on taking my truck anywhere else.
IM NEVER GOING BACK. After reading these couple of reviews and then speaking with Mike I thought I had found a good mechanic, WRONG! Though Mike’s young he sounds like he knows everything about diesels. He can talk the talk all day but can’t walk the walk. I was in need of some brake work among other repairs on my F250. Should have been in and out in less than 2hours, 6+ hours later and more money I was finally on my way. 1st parts werent on hand even though I had made a appointment a week prior, 2nd he ordered the wrong parts, 3rd didnt order all that was needed for the repair- should of been pretty strait forward and easy to know what was needed for the repair, 4th I had to pay an additional couple hundred dollars, 5th misdiagnosed problem with my clutch among other things. After calling around and having my other brakes looked at I found cheaper garages (dealership would have been $20 more than his original quote) and I actually had more life on my brakes 35% than what he told me 10%- DISHONEST. Don’t know if these other reviewers actually had a good experience or are just friends of his talking him up.
Great professional place to do business with!
Awesome service
