Nancy is top notch when it comes to helping find an amazing apt home.. Im happier I live here (the security is amazing the office staff is amazing the leasing staff is amazing the residents are amazing to each other) . It feels as if I reside in a perpetual resort! The time Nancy took with me was so unselfish and kind.... I visited the community for months and each time Nancy greeted me it was with a smile and excitement to help me find the perfect space.. a heart warming feeling these days.. I was never turned away or sent to look online.. Im forever grateful for her help and guidance. If your looking call Nancy !!
Best apartment building in town. Concrete floors are quiet. Never hear my upstairs neighbor. Office staff polite and diligent. Ed from security is awesome, enforces the rules, but also very kind and good energy.Expensive, but worth it. I am on my third year here.
Nancy was fabulous in getting us into the building and finding the perfect apartment! Thank you
Overall Optima is a great place to live. From the amenities to the staff. This place is always well kept and the management does a great job creating monthly activities or food truck schedule that makes this place a fun place to be. However, they have still enforced a mask mandate for residents in the gym, business center and common areas After our governor lifted it. I’m saddened that they aren’t allowing us to choose individually whether to protect ourselves or not. Apparently they had ONE complaint about people not wearing masks and reinforced the mask mandate at this location. The security team is spent on controlling residents on a daily basis to wear a mask as it’s a daily protocol and also and awareness that majority of us do not want to wear a mask while we are working out for using the common areas. I’ve been silent for the entire year but myself along with 50+ other residents in a neighboring group chat are over it. LET US CHOOSE! We pay thousands of dollars to live here yet you want us to go pay $50 across the street to use the gym facility not enforcing masks or get work done without a mask at a coffee shop across the street. Either way we forced to leave our home once again just so we don’t have to wear a mask even though the mask mandate has been lifted. You can’t please everyone I understand that but you can leave it up to the people to decide just like everywhere else.
I really did not want to give 4 stars, but didnt want to do 3 stars either. I love my apartment and I have spent a lot of time decorating and making it mine as I planned on being here a long time.....BUT in the 3 1/2 months Ive been here in this location, I realize it is not the most desirable one for me. This apt. was not my first choice, but two rented out quickly and I decided to accept the next one sight unseen. That was my mistake, but the agent really talked this one up and reminded me how making a decision quickly was in my best interest. It really wasnt, because I was unable to view the apt until a very short time before moving in and slowly discovered some of the issues on an ongoing basis. Since I have only been at Optima a few months, a new manager is working with me to see if some of those issues can be resolved. Communication at this point is important and I feel a little more hopeful about calling the Optima my home.
Just moved in a week ago and already love it. The greenery and building is awesome, units are beautiful and filled with so much light, and the amenities are fantastic as well. Also wanted to mention Heather in the leasing office as she was incredible to work with and made the move in and leasing process so easy!
Lived here for three years and loved it. Great views from large balconies in a beautiful, planted environment. Great amenities like gym, steam rooms, saunas, and many others! Very fast internet as well. Highly recommend you work with Heather in the leasing office due to her experience and depth of knowledge of the property. Shes always available via text even when shes not at work to answer questions and help out future/current residents. Great experience overall.
NOT WORTH IT! If you want a place to feel like your home this is NOT it. Instead they make it a point to make sure you know this is not your home but instead their property that youre just sleeping at. They pick and choose what policies they want to impose and who they want to enforce them on. Good luck trying to enjoy the amenities because they are overcrowded with partiers that dont even live here... or out of service. Walls are so thin you can hear every little thing from your neighbors and even any one walking in the hallway. .. and believe me its constant parties at night and maintenance drilling and hammering during the day. I cant wait to get out of here and live in a place I actually can feel at home at.
There is no question the building is awesome and you cant beat the location, but what really sets it apart are the people. I had the privilege of working with Heather who went above and beyond. I was looking to break a lease and move into Optima in Dec, everything was all set and then it fell apart, this actually happened twice and I can imagine that would be frustrating for the leasing agent, but Heather was never annoyed or upset, she was always positive and continued to work with me over the next few months until she found me the exact unit I wanted for the exact date I needed. After all that we had some complications with the application and again she was positive, communicative and helped us resolve it. Really excited to be moving into Optima soon and THANK YOU Heather!
Heather is awesome. So awesome that I felt strongly compelled to leave a review, and I rarely leave reviews. She was so great to work with as I am moving to Scottsdale from out of state. She helped me with photos, virtual tours, and answered all the questions I had. She was very patient with me and when it came time to secure an apartment she stayed on the phone with me and walked me through every single step of the online process. Fantastic attitude & service. I cant recommend her and Optima Sonoran Village enough. A beautiful development with friendly & caring staff.
I wouldnt suggest moving here unless you are over 50. If you are younger than that you get absolutely no respect from the office ladies whatsoever. We pay so much for the amenities at this place and cant even use them. Not even allowed to play music at the pool quietly on the weekends because when the office ladies walk through with potential residents they are scared they wont move here and they will lose out on their commission. At the end of the day thats all they really care about. Highly suggest looking into another place, almost ever resident I talk to is not pleased with them AT ALL. 0/5 stars
My wife and I had a wonderful experience with the leasing office at Optima Sonoran Village. Nancy Farnsworth was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She always seemed to be available and had a great attitude throughout the entire process. If you are looking to lease at Optima Sonoran Village, we would highly recommend working with Nancy.
Rarely do I leave these types of reviews but I wanted to express how impressed I have been with Heather, who helped me with my move into the Optima this week, having just moved to AZ from NYC. She is always responsive and professional, a true asset to the property. In all my years of living in various properties across NYC I have never dealt with someone in leasing who goes above and beyond her job like Heather has for me! She really made a very hectic week moving across the country as smooth as possible. Looking forward to my time at the Optima :)
The most awful experience i have ever had with a community . several friends of mine have tried it and worked on convincing me not to live there but i wanted to have my own personal experience due to the location importance.i dont know where to start, the optima management during the middle of covid 19 outrage have increased the rent without taking into consideration the situation of the country nor of the tenants and only cared about their money which we accepted....in any where you are placed in the building, all the other apartments can see right inside of your place which definitely removes any privacy....it s been a month i ve been having noise problems in my apartments in the vents and i have informed the maintenance and management team, however up till now they couldn t figure it out and did not resolve it the problem at all. they have not only deprived me from my sleep, but i cannot sit any minute in this apartment, unit 5003 building 35 without hearing a noise that does not allow you neither to have one minute of a peace of mind.the management kept sending me ear plugs to help me out !!!!! what a joke and believe it or not i have everything in writing and cannot believe me that they are trying to convince me to put ear plus until they resolve the situation. they have not even offered any discount nor rent waiver nor does the optima sonoran villages wishes to provide the email of their higher management in the headquarters so i can file a complaint.trust me, never ever rent here because you will regret it. seeing a beautiful building from the outside is not the same from the inside and especially with such kind of a management
I’ve absolutely loved living at Optima! The location is prime, the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained and any issues that I’ve had were taken care of quickly. It’s a killer building with incredible amenities but what really sets this place apart is the amazing staff! Every single person I’ve dealt with has been happy, kind and professional. The wonderful manager Jodi has quite the impressive team working with her and ensure that living here is above and beyond joyful! I always feel like I’m on vacation living here 😊I highly recommend this place!
This property is so unique in the experience it provides. Beautiful architecture, landscaping all over bringing the peace of nature into the mix, outdoor gaming areas, modern gym equipment, 4 pools to choose from, a dog run, a dog park, a residence club with lounge areas, and so much more. You are getting midrise living and garden style living all in one. There’s even events and activities organized and put on by the management team, so you can socialize and get to know your neighbors. The staff are wonderful. Very friendly, warm and welcoming while being professionals. They always have a smile and are there to truly give you a unique service experience. They genuinely care too. They know most of the people and their dogs by name. It’s quite impressive. There’s so much shopping and dining nearby. You don’t even need a car as they’re all within walking distance. There’s a high end mall and all sorts of unique dining concepts. Optima has done a tremendous job being the property you WANT to live at!
I dont live here but i stopped in for a tour and let me just say WOW! This building is breathtaking. The sales staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Talk about a 5 Star experience. Ive never seen amenities like these in an apartment community. If I was staying in AZ I would be living here, no other place even comes close!
I moved to Scottsdale from out of state, sight unseen and luckily chose the right place. The building and amenities are beautiful, and its in a great location for someone who is wanting to be close to a great going out/restaurant scene. I highly recommend working with Heather who is incredibly nice, helpful, and professional.
The apartment is pretty itself but management is a nightmare. When we first moved in, there was a leak coming from our ceiling. We told management and it took weeks for someone to come take a look at it. The leak got worse and eventually the ceiling began to crack and it wasn’t fixed until about a week before we left. Maintenance enters your apartment without any heads up even if you tell them they don’t have permission to enter if you aren’t there. The amount of rent they charge is absolutely ridiculous. It’s really not worth it. It takes management WEEKS to get back to you if you email them. My fiancé and I found roaches in our apartment and nothing was done about it. There were lots of issues with people smoking and not much was done to stop it. Your honestly better going somewhere else if your going to spend this much money on an apartment.
Today I got another problem at the optima and the customer service was fantastic. I am so impressed with their way of dealing with things and I m loving the whole community. thank you Darla as usual for your great wor
I was forced to move right in the middle of this whole pandemic so seeing a place in person was impossible. All I could do was take virtual tours, which obviously was very stressful. So it really came down to the leasing agent I was dealing with. I was lucky enough to get connected with Heather, who is far and above the competition. Not only was she extremely helpful in getting me everything I needed to make this decision, but she has been even more so since moving in. She has answered every question I have thrown at her with straight forward answers and in a very prompt manner. I have lived here now for the past month, and feel as if I made the best decision possible. If you are looking for help and are interested in Optima Sonoran Village, ask for Heather! She is a diamond in the rough!
AMAZING PROPERTY!! No amenities like this in the valley !! I made the right choice that fits my needs!Heather,Barbie,Darla and to all the office staff
AMAZING PLACE! I just moved in yesterday and I LOVE it!Thank you to the staff for helping me yesterday ! I know I was a pain with all my questions .. But I promise I am a good renter!! thank you thank you thank you for everything you did for me!
Heather has been nothing but amazing for me not only finding me the place I want and getting me the deal I was looking for but also staying on top of needs throughout the year though it may not be her job to do so.Put me down as your referral and I’ll split the $1000 referral fee with you. Instagram is @adel_believe message me w first words as OPTIMA URGENT!The team that runs operations are on top of things, Becky, Darla, and Jodi.Great place for those who want a great vibe and a place to call home.
Dazzling and stunning overall. The management is wonderful - they always make me feel welcomed, are diligent and on-top of maintenance requests, really go out of their way to ensure that the residents are satisfied and happy. Ashley has the perfect personality for the job - outgoing, warm, friendly and respectful. She takes pride in knowing that the resides are well taken care of and is detail-oriented. Requests are taken care of immediately and she always has a smile on her face. The gym is always clean, landscaping is perfectly-manicured and the pools are fun!Definitely delivers quality service in a daily-fashion.
Ive been living here for almost 3 weeks and love everything about it! When I was shopping for a new place to live, my leasing agent Ashley showed me several floor plans suited exactly to what I was looking for. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! We were able to find exactly what I was looking for and I decided to pull the trigger immediately! The location is great and I love my unit! The size, view, and design are all exactly what I needed. Im so grateful for the helpful staff in helping me get settled in so quickly!
This is the most amazing facility Ive ever lived in. The amenities are 5-Star Resort quality. Its also super pet friendly which was a huge plus for me. Traci and Connor in the leasing office also went way above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect unit. They both spent hours with me, literally. You have to check this place out and be sure to ask for either Traci or Connor. Optima Sonoran Village is a true oasis in the desert.
This place has far exceeded my expectations! Not only is the apartment complex beautiful, but the staff and other tenants are very kind as well. Specifically, Heather Sims went out of her way to make my search for the right unit and then the move in, as effortless as possible for me. Im very happy with my decision to move into Optima!!
The Optima Sonoran Village has been an awesome experience. Heather has been amazing to work with. Any questions that come up, she has been extremely helpful to us. Thank you Heather!Amenities are actually second to none here in Scottsdale. Our split floor plan was the perfect choice. Great Location, we truly have no complaints living here.
This review is for Kevin (mail room person). Thank you so much! The room has never been so clean and organized. It’s actually nice to go in there now and even better is that Kevin drops off items to my apartment. Kevin is always so pleasant and helpful.
We have lived here for three plus years. Ups and downs do happen but since we returned in November all things are almost perfect. Art the new maintenance manager, Darla in the office, Nancy, Patrick, Ray, Kevin the two property managers, Heather and the rest of the staff that provide the service, have been outstanding. I know there was an investors meeting here on site November 19 and I am sure they found the property supurb . I have built own and managed shopping centers in New Jersey and Long Island and have retired from that field. I know how difficult a property this size and population can be to maintain but I must say if this property is kept this way into the future, it will be an A in my book.
Ray is awesome. Definitely my favorite person that works at optima. He is always willing to go the extra mile and is always helping me out with anything I need. A few days ago a resident accidentally threw their sunglasses down the trash chute and he went to find them for her. Not many people would do that.... he really cares about helping residents with anything we need and he deserves a spotlight for all his genuine and consistent efforts.
Im going into my second year here at Optima.First pro tip: Ask for Heather when you are leasing!Heather was incredibly helpful throughout the entire leasing process. She was very patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated to helping us find the perfect unit and she still goes above and beyond whenever I reach out!I wanted to address some of the concerns I had when I was reading reviews before I moved in. Im sure everyone has a unique experience, so once again, I would recommend speaking to Heather during leasing if you have any specific concerns. She was straightforward with me even when it made more work for her.*** Internet - Internet is solid. I work from home and the Internet is super fast during the day (500+ mbps). It slows down a bit at night when everyone gets home from work, but you can still do everything you need to. This was my biggest concern moving in and it hasnt been an issue at all.*** Work Orders - Support staff is friendly, helpful, and responsive. Most of my work orders have been completed within 1 day).*** Cleanliness and Noise - The complex is always clean and I rarely hear any noise from my apartment. You can hear people directly outside your door, but you cant hear your neighbors.*** Mail - Never had an issue. It can be hard to find packages at times, but I like the self serve system and the Optima team has been helpful anytime I needed help finding a package.Other than that, the location is great and the units/amenities speak for themselves.
Just signed for another year lease. Love it here. Great location as I can walk to all my favorite spots in Old Town. Love the pools and steam rooms as well as all the other amenities. Heather my leasing agent made re-signing quick and easy, and has always answered any questions Ive had over the years and always friendly. Any issues Ive had in my apartment have been fixed quickly and without issue by maintenance. Looking forward to another great year here at the Optima and probably many more.
Have lived here a couple of months. And our cAr was broken into and vandalized while in apartment parking garage. Was provided a more secure parking space for $100a month but someone else has parked there for over 10 days. Numerous calls and messages to office staff and the car is still there. Charging $100 a month for a space I can’t even use. Not right.
This is the best place Ive ever lived. Period.Ive lived at the Optima for 1.5 years now and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. The complex is truly an oasis. The amenities are fantastic, the units are modern and exactly what I wanted, the views are amazing, my neighbors are incredible, the location is second to none, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I feel as if Im truly part of a community here. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking to move to Scottsdale.
Optima delivers a product that is on another level from other multifamily builders. It has the look and feel of an upscale condo project and amenities that rival stand-alone health clubs. I’ve been here a few years and it is by far the best community I’ve ever lived in. Heather in the leasing office is the unofficial mayor of Optima and shes great to work with ☺
I just moved in here to the Optima, and I can tell you that my experience has been amazing! The environment is awesome and all of the amenities are always clean and well taken care of! All of the greenery is well groomed and it is a wonderful environment to be in. The people here are very professional yet it also has a fun lively vibe. All in all, a great place to be!
Maintenance is CRAZY! Issue after issue and truly unhelpful. Update: 4/3/19 Maintenance walks into my apartment unannounced to fix something that doesnt need repair. I immediately kick them out. I have also verified that other residents have the exact same issues. Rent here at your own risk!
My husband and I moved here from New York City and it has been the smoothest transition that we have had in a move especially being a cross country move, our leasing agent Ashley who we stumbled upon on a nice afternoon, showed us Optima Sonoran the exact way that it seems on the website, perfect, quiet, the amenities are amazing, being a swimmer and having an indoor lap pool next to the best gym Ive been in is pretty awesome. its soooo Green, each unit has its own type of garden and each place is unique, the whole staff here has been wonderful with whatever is needed, and we have a pretty awesome juice bar at the ground floor, did i mention the comfort for my fur babies? the dog park and walks around the village are absolutely awesome, we cannot thank the staff at optima enough for making everything that much better.
So... Theres so much to say about this place I call home, and work. I wanted to write a fair and accurate review. So, I figured Id read the reviews a bit first, and wait until my second year when they are no longer trying to put their best foot forward... Cos you know how happy and eager Heather, and Barbie always seemed in the beginning... I knew for a fact would change, as it always does at apartments. Heres what I have to say.Heather STILL treats me like a loved relative she hasnt seen in such a long time. Her smile, and eagerness have grown... Yes, its the most positively bizarre thing ever. Its like shes still trying to get me in... but its been two years. I dont know what theyre feeding her.. But she just gets better! I vote Heather Simms for President of the United States by the way... (Just want to put that out there!) She is the glue keeps us all addicted to Optima...These ladies deserve their own paragraph... Barbie, Reina, Darla, Darling Becky, and Jennifer... Have remained consistently efficient, genuine sincere, unchanged, and kind. You want to see women being excellent... Come to Optima. These hardworking women make me proud to be a woman myself!!!!!! Shout-out to Ray (though behind the scenes now...) Left a really huge mark while here, and he is missed.I want to reserve a paragraph for the lads that fix everything we break daily... Let it be known that we have the most helpful, polite, and hard working maintenance crew in the AZ - period!Shout-out to the hardworking cleaning staff, (I call them Optifairies,) because they are magical... you barely see them, they dont say anything, they dont get in your way... They just keep huge village squeaky clean. When you do find certain things out of place... be certain it happened after hours, but will be addressed, as soon as our Optifairies wake up and sprinkle their magical fairy dust around, making everything brand new again. They make it look so easy! I am grateful to all of them for their hard work.Optima Sonoran Village is a truly just a small village that cares for one another, and that does EVERYTHING you see in its flyiers and commercials. They followed all protocols provided during the pandemic. Its been a seamless transition and I couldnt be more proud of our community as a whole. Just that SIMPLE.So, to address the cobwebs mentioned in previous reviews. Yes, there may have been some problems here, and there... but, I can say sincerely that every problem that ever came up... was addressed instantly. In conclusion, I rate them highly because... Yes, it is a fantastic place. If you have reasonable, and sensible expectations... Optima will supercede them.
The management in this complex is a joke, specially the two supposedly managers, Heather and Barbie. They dont know what their doing there and dont have any customer service skills whatsoever. I havent dealt with anyone more unprofessional as these two, I cant understand how these two were hired to manage such big complex like Optima Sonoran Village.I would not recommend living in the complex unless you careless about the management and or the service provided by the leasing office team such as Heather and Barbie.
This will be long but worth the read. First off, Heather is heaven sent. In no way was I required to make this review but if you’ve worked with her, you’ll understand why I’m taking the time to do this. She works hours before open and hours after close, every single day. She immediately responses to any questions you have (unless she’s sleeping LOL) but so serious, I’ve never seen someone work as hard and as constantly as she does. Honestly, it was the main reason I chose this apartment. I moved from Indiana to Arizona and was stressed. I’ve never done a cross country move and actually never even visited Scottsdale before I picked here to move. She made everything so easy! She sent me videos of several apartments and even when I thought I decided on one and kept changing my mind, she kept giving me all the information I would need on each apartment. When I say I overloaded her with questions I mean early in the am, late at night, multiple through the day, I was annnoying and craziest part is, she never acted annoyed! She’s always been so sweet and genuine. Whether it was through struggles of ESA paperwork, or even helping me get my WiFi connected at 10pm at night the night of move in, she’s ALWAYS there! I’ve never seen an leasing manager be this on top of their game. Plus, she gives you her personal phone number! Most management have you send them an email and you’re lucky if you hear back from them the next day. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciated Heather going above and beyond, because she doesn’t have to do that but she does bc she actually cares about her tenants and that’s rare but beautiful to see. I could go on and on about Heather because I am absolutely blown away by her hospitality, responsiveness, and knowledge of her work but we’ll end it hereNow as for the apartment, ABSOLUTELY JAW DROPPING. Like I said, because Heather helped me pick out the absolute best apartment for me, there is no flaws. It is everything I wanted and more. She listened and executed my wishes perfectly for. Another thing I love about these apartments, besides the amenities, is that every unit is a little different and unique to that unit so you can get exactly what you want. So I won’t go much into detail about my specific apartment but focus more on the amenities, I haven’t got to use any of them YET as today was my first day of move in, but the beauty is unreal. You feel like you are living in a resort. There’s severaaaal pools, a steam room, barber shops, Botox, different businesses and shops inside the village! They have covered parking so your vehicle doesn’t get too hot in the Arizona sun.Everything about this apartment 10/10Even though I fell in love with the beauty from the start, it was heather who sold me to make the move and come. I definitely recommend if you’re anxious about moving for whatever reason, DONT! Heather will give you a peace of mind 100% of the way.
Having moved into OPTIMA on March 30th, and as I was searching for something, I came across some very bad reviews.. I was somewhat shocked, as I believe the property & management are the best in the greater Phoenix area. I dont know of any other properties built as well as this! And moving in here in the middle of the CV19 crisis, I was amazed at the protocols management had put in place to make the residents as safe as possible. Please note my review is coming from a perfectionist that is ADHD w/ OCD tendencies! So consider the source. Some of the only drawbacks I notice are just inconsiderate residents.. but that happens everywhere. Also, Ill presume some of the negative reviews are based on do 10 things right, but 1 thing wrong and here comes the 1 star review. This is a legit review, and if you are touring the property, asking leasing to call me, (BOB).. Ill give you a more candid review on the phone.. or if Im around, I drop down and give you my own personal tour.. + Ill be able to size you up, and if you look like one of those inconsiderate types, Ill try and steer you somewhere else! :-)
Convenient location, looks nice on the outside but feels like a frat house. I had multiple issues while living here for a year and a half.- Apartment was never repainted at move in / carpet not cleaned until a year after move in- Had maintenance enter my apartment unannounced at 2am- Maintenance left door open (not unlocked but open) while I was out of town- Construction projects left my car covered in dirt and dust for months on end
I recently moved into the Optima and everyone has been awesome. Initially I worked with Ashley on the tour and set up of my lease, the process was very smooth and she was very accommodating to my needs, even though I was still living in Denver. I’ve since met Heather and 2 other ladies that have been nothing but nice. Best complex I’ve ever lived in as far as amenities and sound. I’ve seriously never heard anything inside my place, even during big storms. The shaded dog park is great as well. I’d highly recommend the Optima and welcome all ages.
My husband and I have lived at Optima Sonoran Village for five years. Heather is extremely professional and knowledgeable about our community. The Management and Maintenance staff are responsive keeping the Commons areas, including the expansive gym, very clean. We have one of the best views in south Scottsdale. This luxury building is a must see for anyone who wishes to take advantage of all south Scottsdale has to offer, The underground parking spots are large with easy entry and exit, but very secure.
I Had the pleasure of Working with Traci VictorShe was amazing!! She made my experience of seeing the Apartments and Grounds amazing!!Her Customer Service and Knowledge of Real Estate and the Property was So professional...She made the Lease Happen with the Property Management Team!! I rate her and the Property Fantastic and Beyond Five Stars!!
Heather was so awesome to work with! She was always very nice and professional. Highly recommend.
The community is a great place to call home. Ive really enjoyed it here and dont see that changing for any reason. Public areas are clean and well-kept. The amenities are of good quality and the apartments themselves are fairly sized and well-maintained.Ashley made the decision to live here very easy. She was super nice, understanding, and quick to respond whether it was a call, text, or email. I moved from the Midwest here to Scottsdale, so Ashley made sure that everything was ready for me when I finally got here. I had also mistakenly sent an expensive package to the wrong building address - Ashley tracked it down and saved me a headache... These are things you dont typically get from leasing agents!
Pros : Some of management is cool and understanding, Cool people (If you are in your 20s, Decent Location, Gym is really niceCons: Getting Mail delivered is a certified nightmare, Apartments are pretty dated and small, Some management is super rude, Very little security (random people just wander into the gym or even apartment buildings or just one fab swipe required to get access to places), Lots of stuff breaks (more than normal)Overall. I wouldnt recommend.
I recently moved into Optima Sonoran Village and I love it! I needed to find a unit quickly and Ashley Oldham (my leasing agent) found me the perfect unit with a quick move in date. She was very responsive in emails and always answered my questions in detail. She made my move in process very simple. I highly recommend her if you are looking to lease at Optima Sonoran Village.
Amazing place for a busy executive. I work a ton of hours and I just renewed my lease because Optima has everything I need right on site! Gym, pool, hot tub, Pilates, my barber (Angel), laundry/dry cleaning, massage, personal training and a Kaleidoscope Juice (coffee, food, beer, etc). The staff is always available to help with any issues. Also being a dog owner this place is ideal. Highly recommend contacting Heather for a tour. She got me into the perfect unit with a great view :)
Amazing and beautiful place to live. Ray rocks!!My only issue was that supply room since I order tons.Supply room was a crazy place (always felt like it was a treasure hunt for my orders) but has been great since Ray came on. He keeps the supply room organized and clean. He was off for days and I walked into the supply room and walked out since it look like a hurricane hit it. Not to mention my Freshly food order was sitting outside on the floor and not in refrigerator provided for 3 days and was spoiled.
Fresh place to live with plenty of amenities.
I have been living here for a year now and love it! The supervisor Ben is great and his service is impeccable. Also Heather in the office is my go to Gal. She does an awesome job! Keep up the good work.
Had a chance to visit a friend and spend some time here and really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor spas and the fitness club and the availability of on-site personal training. The staff was friendly and accommodating and greeted us with smiles. Made a great impression.
Ive lived at the optima for 2 years now. I cant tell you how happy I have been, the sense of community is phenomenal and they have a really incredible staff, specifically Heather.I know it is mentioned over and over again in the reviews, but she really is amazing. From going out of her way to help you with something outside of her role, to making you feel like family, I can truly say she is the reason I renewed and will continue to renew here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Ray was so helpful in setting up our directv and WiFi! He went out of his way to help us and we are very grateful. He made our move-in even smoother than it was already. Thanks ray!
Lived there for 3 years. At the beginning it was amazing. After they sold the management has been terrible. They keep adding units without increasing the amenities. Now its over crowded, parking problems. It is definitely not worth the price anymore. Only remaining good quality is the location.
Ashley O. was extremely helpful in selecting my new unit. I recently relocated to Scottsdale from Los Angeles, and this complex made the transition amazing. Ashley walked me through all the amenri amenities and even had recommendations for local places she thought I might enjoy being new in this town.
I have lived at Optima Sonoran Village for a month and a half. The amenities and location are amazing, and Ashley - our leasing agent - provided fantastic service helping us select the best unit and making the move in process as easy as possible. Highly recommended!!!
I have been here for about a month -possibly the best place I have ever lived. This place has everything you could ever want. The facilities are clean and well kept and the amenities are top notch! Ashley was a wonderful leasing agent and took the time to show me many different floor plans and options. We had some slight hiccups on move in but, Ashley took care of everything!
Unreliable staff that can’t keep their word and give you false hope. Every time I call it goes to voicemail, staff do not respond in a timely manner. Been waiting for 2 weeks for a refund and still have not heard from them, received an email, or received a callback as promised by (Ciandra). After a representative ( Darla) finally answered the phone, she told me that they haven’t even sent out the refund. How UNORGANIZED and UNPROFESSIONAL can you be?It’s extremely tiring and time consuming keeping track with staff to barely get their job done.Who has the time to call the same office everyday without receiving any help or progress on issues.I am glad I am not living here I can’t imagine paying for a high price apartment for such undelivered performance and services provided by management. I can’t imagine the frustration of those living at this “luxury apartment”.UPDATE:Manager commented on this post claiming she will look into the issue and as expected1- she hasn’t2-after a month of waiting for my refund I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. Even though Darla promised me the third time around I would receive it.What a disappointing establishment.
One of the most breathe taking places to live for sure
Nothing works and security is terrible... right down to the person who was stabbed here a couple of weeks ago. Police surrounded the place after an hour ... the one security guard (who won’t hesitate to come to your door if you play music after 8pm or stay in the steam room a moment after 10pm to kick you out /warm you of the fines that will come regardless adding on to your final bill amongst thousands of other unexplained and non itemized additions to it each month) never showed. And never does when you actually call and need them for something ... like getting stabbed outside a “luxury” apartment complex.
Heather is the best! The nicest ever and beyond helpful! We love her, highly recommend.
I found a job over the summer and moved fromThe Denver area to Scottsdale, upon asking a friend the best place in the area, I looked into the optima. The leasing staff worked with me to find an apartment to fit my price range, and ever since moving in weekend and nights have been easy to enjoy. A short distance from Old Town, the complex sets you near the center of the nightlight scene. Great place for young adults especially but older residents love it here as well. As an aside; Ashley Oldham was been awesome since the first day at move in and is a pleasure to work with.
If you’re a African American man with any kind of record (misdemeanors included) do not apply here.It will not matter what documents you have, who vouches for you, the degrees or the titles. It’s not a welcoming place for brothers. This is a good place to study gentrification as the response will claim to support diversity but the actual reality is much different. They’ll call you and only say “Denied for criminal.”It’s criminalization. The act of someone paying their dues and still being treated like a 2nd class citizen when black males have a 5x higher chance of being arrested than anyone else. Has anyone seen the news? Heard the stereotypes?(They have some truth to them.)Anyways, I found somewhere that’s nice, people are fun to talk to, I can go to work and work at home in peace and study until my heart’s content. I just wrote this review as a warning so others won’t waste their time.“Anything lost can be found again except for time wasted.”
I love living at Optima Sonoran Village! I have lived here for two years and plan on renewing my lease. In my opinion, we have the BEST amenities in Old Town. The staff has always been very helpful, accommodating, and professional. The community events make living here fun! I would recommend this place to anyone considering a luxury apartment in Old Town Scottsdale.
Optima Slum Village... pretty on the outside and thats where it ends. If you can afford a better place... get one. Anyplace Ive lived here is better than this dump.
I have lived at the Optima for 4 years now. Heather in the leasing office is always super helpful and does whatever is necessary to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The amenities are amazing and offer basically anything you could possibly want or need!!!
My husband and I recently moved in and were having some internet and electrical issues. We put in a request, and someone came out. The issue was not 100% resolved. A couple days later Patrick and Ray came to save the day! Ray rewired my internet and Patrick was very helpful in answering all my questions!
I just signed my 3rd lease here last week. I never use the amenities but its still beautiful to have !! Ive seen some up and down and its definitely been going up since the new management took over a few month ago. One of the maintenance supervisors Ben is truly the best they have had! The staff is friendly but I only go to Heather Simms for everything becauseIve built a relationship with her and she always listens!
I loved my experience here! Ashley went above and beyond on our tour and bent over backwards when helping me with my lease! If you stop in make sure to ask for her!
Becky, Carissa, & Christina have been amazing in helping me with my move in process. The whole optima staff has been nothing gracious. Everything from the apartment to the amenities is well worth the stay
Im sorry but the Staff, grounds, customer service, hallways, and environment is poor. This has been the worse experience. As a Professional Athlete I expected more!!This place for one has Rats!!! This is the most ridiculous place I have ever lived. Im use to living a high end lifestyle. I must say this looks high end but the staff is far from that! If you are looking for a place with elegance, clean, helpful staff, and you can afford high pay living look some place else. I have been living here for a year now. Problems from appliances not working often, to RATS, smelly dirty hallways, and no help with the Manager or staff!!The grounds are dirty all the time! People smoke, loud, and the hallways are always dirty. The staff is very unprofessional, lack of communication is frustrating, there is a new face in the leasing office every week! They charge you unexpected fees, the account manager is truly rude and they are very unorganized!! I would never rent here again! I recommend you Stay away look around more! Or find a realtor to help you find a better community.
Staff is great! Friendly, and so helpful! It is a pleasure to see them and if there are any concerns, they address them so quickly and go out of their way to help you :)!
The staff is friendly and very helpful. This is an amazing place to live, also Monday night football would be great.
Just visited friends there. The amenities are awesome! Sounds like the staff is awesome as well and everyone there is super friendly!
Best place Ive ever lived - amazing amenities....beautiful gym so no more gym memberships! And sauna and steam room. Pool and bbqing - and Kaleidoscope!! Going right downstairs for a coffee and juice in the morning and a margarita after work. The landscaping and architecture are also so lovely.
Beautiful place to live. All we need now is Monday night football like Ray promised.
This property gets a NO WAY! My husband and I toured this place, and theres no way Id ever sign a lease. We met with Heather, and she wasnt very nice. The first question I was asked was, whats your budget? I said, whats your value? I have no problem paying good money, but I do have a problem when someone asks me about my bank account. I knew they would be expensive and I wouldnt waste my time on something if I didnt have the money. Secondly, my husband and I had to introduce ourselves. She gave a tour that lasted about 10 minutes. And what made me most angry...she was texting during the tour. It was a complete disrespect and there is no way Id ever speak highly about this place. Id give 0 stars to this place if I could.
Like Las Vegas... they love you going in but as soon as you are a resident and they have your money (and double or triple your rent at random then rent your place out from under you without telling you despite never fixing anything) you dont matter. Horrible and disgusting way to treat residents.
The amenities are perfect. Heather gave me tour and made sure to take her time with me. I was pleased with her and my experience.
My wife and I have been here for over 6 months now and still love it. I dont really deal with anyone other than Heather in the office - because shes great; Ive not ever needed / wanted to bother with dealing with anyone else. She brags about knowing everyone in the complex but Im pretty sure its true because she seems to call everyone by name and knew my apartment number off the top of her head (the reason I thought to review) when I made a maintenance request a couple weeks ago.To be fair, OSV loses 1 star because it does smell like dog pee outside of every exterior door - and if thats the worst of it, hold your breath for 3 seconds like I do.
Heather is great and the mail room staff are really nice - but this complex is riddled with problems and is ridiculously overpriced. Its not nearly as upscale on the inside as it looks from the outside - new buildings included.
Just moved in over the weekend and have to say Heather was a pleasure and very helpful to make it a smooth move. Between the amenities and friendly staff like Heather I would highly recommend Optima to any friend of family member.
Ashley did an amazing job helping my daughter get settled with her move. It was nice to know that there is good help at the Optima Sonoran Village, and it gives me peace at mind to know Ashley is helpful since my daughter and I live on opposite sides of the country!
What a beautiful place - wish I could live there full time. Amazing amenities with fabulous customer service!
A Great Place to Live ! A lot of Great Amenities with the Pool, Sauna, and Gym! The staff is also has definitely improved and is now excellent communication with everyone to help them at there every need.
Not to be trusted. They put their profits above the safety of the occupants. So many dangerous situations have taken place and they have not responded in a timely manner, putting lives at risk.
Staff (especially Cristina) have been most helpful on numerous occasions, thus helping me to get oriented in a totally new environment. Has made waiting for the nice weather to arrive pleasant.
This is the best place to live in downtown Scottsdale. Amazing and luxury amenities, premium quality service, security, location, views... Thanks especially to Heather, shes amazing!
Worst place I’ve lived at. There’s a group chat for people who live there that hate the place. They lie about everything. Do not move in.
Ive lived here for a year and a half. Theres really nothing else like it in Scottsdale (other than the other Optima locations which are condos not apartments). The recreational facilities are in the same league as stand-alone health clubs.
I lived here for 14 months and loved the location and amenities, the maintenance request were handled quickly for the most part and everyone was friendly and helpful. Once i moved out and moved to Nashville Tennessee I received a bill from direct TV for a late fee (keep in mind i did not add any additions nor did i speak to direct other than to activate my account) and it was even for several months i did not even live there. I called Optima to follow up and ask what this was about because i paid them directly for all of my utilities etc. I was told the accountant handles those bills and also i need to speak with property manager. When i was transferred to their voice mails on 4 different occasions no one answered and i never received a call back. In the duration i lived there the staff in the front office changed multiple times. I do not know if that was due to management issues or management company changes but that already raised an eyebrow. After months of following up and Optima not taking ownership in this i ended up paying the bill for $166 because Direct sent it to collections and i did not want this to effect my credit. Direct said since this is on a multiunit policy that this is something i had to take up with my complex. Granted i even spoke to their upper management at Direct. Very disappointing for a complex that is suppose to be all inclusive luxury.
The amenities are great and the place is beautiful ... Thank you Heather for being so cheerful and nice :) thank you for making my decision easy .
Not a bad place, used to be the best place to live in Old Town but with all the new places is starting to really go down a bit in quality. The front office and service is not that attentive, and although can still be considered high end I would not consider it Luxury.
