Absolutely love this complex! Its quiet, beautiful and clean. Pet friendly and accepts reptiles which is a huge plus! Very spacious and all updated units. Very safe family friendly place amd very close to a lot of shopping centers. The management is amazing and the maintenance is fast and efficient.

Living at Camden San Marcos has been amazing! While I am a Camden employee, that means I have very high standards and this team always delivers! Maintenance requests are completed within hours of being submitted, the grounds always look impeccable and anytime I have a question for the office they are always helpful and respond quickly. I just renewed my lease and don’t plan on moving until I purchase a home. Shout out to the entire team: Alpha, Stephanie, Molly, Nate, Kohl and Tim for not only making San Marcos a great place to live but for always delivering excellent customer service. Thank you again for all you do, from both myself and your favorite fur resident, Summer :)

I do not recommend this apartment complex. The staff is lovely, but they are limited by what they cant control.(1) Parking is terrible. Garages only fit compact cars, so unless you get a covered spot, you are out of luck and left searching for an unassigned, uncovered spot nowhere near your unit.(2) Poor construction quality. I hear my neighbor pounding above at all hours--my ceiling fixtures rattle, we can hear them go to the bathroom and flush, and we have been woken up late at night. I made a few complaints to the office and they spoke to the tenant above. After the second complaint, the frequency declined for a couple days before resuming in full force. Im moving out soon, so I declined the option to keep a journal of the noise for management to address further. Its not worth the negative energy at this point.(3) Electronic locks that malfunction and have questionable security. Some residents liked this and some dont. We had no choice. It sometimes locks on its own, so dont run to the trash or your car without your phone.

Camden has bee great so far! Our dryer wasnt working and they installed a new one within 2 hours! The staff is great and so are the living spaces. The pools are very nice too, especially since it is starting to heat up. I dont have any complaints!

The maintenance staff is top notch. We never have a problem or any doubt about letting them in when we arent here. Tim came over yesterday and installed our 10 ft sunshade on the patio by himself! Best staff ever, I didnt forget you Ian, we always appreciate your friendliness and helpfulness our pups love you too man :) Other residents are horrible about not picking up their pets waste and there are a lot of people not on the lease moving in.

I have lived in apartments for many years and this is hands down the best one. Service is amazing in every way possible. If something breaks in the apartment it always got fixed wither the same day or the next day. Maintenance team is so efficient and also very kind. The amenities are outstanding- it felt like we were leaving in a hotel. Pool area and landscape was always well maintained. The office team is very kind as well- always greeted us with a smile and a great attitude. I highly recommend living here- they know what they are doing!

Alpha and the rest of the Camden crew do an excellent job at welcoming us into our new home along with answering ALL of our questions! Ive been in customer service and sales my entire life and this team here at Camden San Marcos is TOP TIER. we looked at several other apartment complexes in the same area but fell in love with our 1br w/ a den (900sqft). Weve been living here for 2 months and everything has been exceeding our expectations thus far. the grounds are extremely clean and quiet. we can hear our neighbor below us from time to time but nothing major that would be a deal breaker. the gym is a little small for my liking but overall its clean and has all the equipment you need. the pool area is hands down our favorite! it looks like its straight out of a Sandals resort brochure, with two pools and a large hot tub thats also very clean. its not the cheapest nor most expensive in the Scottsdale area but its definitely a lot of bang for your buck and we have no regrets moving here!

Molly at Camden San Marcos stayed in touch without being pushy, and was polite and congenial, on the phone and on email. When I let her know we decided to go in another direction, she was supportive and professional -- just the kind of employee a large apartment complex wants to have representing them.

Only writing a review of a tour I took yesterday afternoon. The complex was very clean and in a great location. The apartment I looked at was nice. Wasnt too big, but I dont need a lot of space since its just me at the moment. The employee who gave me the tour was friendly and knowledgeable. My current lease is up in December, but Ive been looking at a few places and San Marcos is easily at the top of my list. Nice spot!

I read that 6 years ago, residents were smoking marijuana in this complex. It is still smoked in the Camden San Marcos and there is a smell throughout the complex.

Roaches roaches roaches... don’t let them infest all your belongings like I did. They knew what I would walk into and still allowed me to move into a German roach infested home. This was 2018 for context so I’m extremely late on the review. But I highly doubt they are rid of them unless the entire place was bombed for a month at least.

The office staff is amazing and always makes you feel welcome when you walk in the office. The maintenance guys are awesome and quick to get things fixed, keeping the community perfect. The pool and gym are super nice and the dog park is very large with a lot of space for your pups to run around. Camden San Marcos is the definition of living excellence! It would be very hard to find a better place to live!

Ive lived here for 2 & a half years, in 2 different apartments, and there are just not enough good things to say about this complex. The grounds, the amenities, the apartments, the view, it all makes you feel as if youre in paradise. But what really stands out is the staff. The office staff and the maintenance team are absolutely phenomenal. They are always there when you need them, always welcoming, always understanding. They truly do care that you are happy with where youre living and are always willing to help wherever they can. You dont always get this lucky with apartment complexes.Thank you for everything, San Marcos team 💖

After living in several apartments over the years, Camden San Marcos is our favorite! It is so quiet and the property is beautifully maintained, but what makes it really awesome is the people! We have had nothing but prompt service with maintenance needs (we had our A/C go out in August- they were on it right away!!) and just the nicest people! We’ve had really great experiences and service from Nathan, Kohl, and Stephanie, but that’s not to say everyone else isn’t amazing as well. This complex really just goes above and beyond and we have experienced that from EVERYONE in the office and in maintenance. Thank you Camden for the fantastic customer service and beautiful place to call home!!!

I use to live here back in 2001-2004 and like most people are saying, the grounds are beautifully kept up and the neighborhood around the apartment complex is absolutely gorgeous and the trails to walk your pets are the best around! I never felt worried walking my dog at anytime late at night, probably one of the safer areas around the valley. The apartments inside are really beautiful and its nice to have your own washer and dryer inside the apartments. No one is paying me to give such a stunning review but I most say, back when I lived here, it was one of the better times and one of the nicest apartments I have rented in Arizona. The only reason I am not still there is money, my finances have changed and cant afford them anymore. They werent much more than most similar sized apartments but now a days, I have to watch every dime so that is why I am not there currently.

I live in a beautiful community at Camden San Marcos. It is always clean which is very important to me. The staff is amazing, as soon as I call in for help they respond right away. They are very pet friendly. The location is great with groceries and shopping nearby. I have just renewed my lease and I look forward to another year here. My dear person in the office, Miranda is always there when you need her! All the staff is very kind and helpful.

Recently moved into this place. Everything went great from the tour to leasing the apartment. Got everything completed in just 2 days. Alpha and Sam helped me in the process.It was thoughtful of them by providing napkins, hand wash and dish washing liquid (welcome kit) as most people moving in like me from different state would not have it.Neighborhood is so good that mostly everything is in 5 to 10 mins drive.

I lived here for a year. Maintenance was very quick to fix things, the area is fantastic as well. What you will not like is that if you get packages from USPS you will almost certainly have to pick them up from the post office. That was a major downside, but other than that everything was great. One thing I also noticed was that they were increasing rent by a pretty substantial factor. You could be paying about $100-$200 upon renewal of your lease.

Absolutely love this place and community. The maintenance guys are second to none and the office staff has always been extremely helpful and attentive. Been living here almost 3 years.My only complaint is outside of the immediate control, but 18% increase on rent over the previous year is ridiculous, its created renters that are increase their occupancy inside each apartment, and were not getting anymore value yet paying more money.Probably going to take a recession to reset the numbers back to appropriate, but if theres a way camden management can combat this, youd be the greatest apartment company out there

Stopped here on a whim and Jessica was the best! She gave us such hope that we would find a place. She pointed us to a sister property that we were able to get into, on the date we needed! These ladies are SUPER! Camden properties are just fabulous!

We love this community! We have friendly neighbors and love that it is very dog friendly. The pool area, as well as the rest of the grounds, are beautifully maintained. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. This is our first apartment in Scottsdale, moved here from Boston area, and we are very pleased with our choice here at San Marcos.

Ive been here for three weeks so far and Im really enjoying the place. The walkways and amenities are kept clean 24/7. The neighbors are all friendly, dog-loving people. You can not beat the surrounding area, I regularly see small children walking on the sidewalks past the complex. You can get to almost any store you can imagine without getting on the highway and within 10 minutes.

My husband and I visited Scottsdale AZ last year in April 2014. We wanted to move out here and find a new place to live, work and go to school. We looked at many apartments from all the way down south in Gilbert to all the way up in Scottsdale. After much looking, we came across Camden San Marcos apartment complexes. From the beginning to the end of our experience with them, we have had nothing but excellent service. They have been courteous and respectful. They listen to what we wanted and quickly found us an exact apartment with the size and location we have been looking for. Not to mention their pricing on there leases are very competitive and affordable based on the demographic and location. We have been very satisfied with Camden San Marcos apartments and highly recommend them to any one who is looking for a great place to live thats both enjoyable and affordable accommodated with many amenities like a dog park, fitness gym, heated swimming pool & jacuzzi, pick up trash service, movie rentals and the list goes on and on. Defiantly the spot to be.

I can honestly say that for the most part I loved our apartment, but I do have some things I think everyone should know before moving in.The walls/ceilings/floors are paper thin, you can hear your upstairs neighbors at all hours of the night and day. Most people dont realize how heavy they walk at 1 am.Also, they charge a ridiculous amount for move out. They quoted us $65 dollars for a carpet cleaning, seeing as how we did not have a pet and only had high traffic stains at the entryway. Got our bill today and they charger $195 for the carpets for a pet treatment for a pet we never had. If I had known they would charge that much, I would have called someone else. (They will not let you rent a carpet cleaner and do it yourself, they need a receipt proving a professional company did it)They added a new service called Valet Waste which is a joke. Our unit was located right next to a dumpster, but if we renewed our lease they would charge extra for this service that we would not have used.When we first moved in they were doing so many renovations, it made it hard to come in and out of the complex. They resurfaced the pavement and we had to park on the street. (there is also little guest parking so with 3 people and only 1 spot it made it difficult to find parking)Other than those things, this complex is great. Liz is amazing, and always ready to help. Norma was not very helpful or caring towards the residents, but I believe she is gone now. They are very clean.

Camden is really the best deal in town. Only item that needs changing is they have to install large mail boxes for packages. The post office wont deliver them so you have to go get them. I have gone there 4 times in the last 2 weeks for a total of 1 hour and 37 minutes of my time and gas. This has been going on for over a year.

We moved here from a Camden property in Charlotte, NC and I am extremely happy to note that Camden maintains standards across the country. My husband and I have been living here since October 2016, and we are very impressed with the leasing company, staff, apartment and the overall feel of the community. We saw other Camden properties in the area too, but this was the one that met our requirements and gave the best value for money.The leasing office staff Ms. Miranda was prompt in responding to us, patiently listened to our requirements, and showed us an apartment that met our every need. Our apartment is a 2bedx2bath on the ground floor facing the mountains, so it makes for a great view during the day. Equipments are upgraded and the air-conditioning works with minimal noise. Maintenance service requests raised on the web portal are dealt with within 1-2 business days, which is perfectly fine. Amenities are well-maintained. The leasing office staff and maintenance staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Restaurants and shopping areas are very closeby, with 101 Loop less than 2 miles away.I am extremely happy with Camden San Marcos, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to live in the Scottsdale area!

I absolutely LOVED this place, the area, and the people. The only thing I didnt care for was the rising rent. Because this place was affordable when I first moved here. I wanted to stay here for a long time.

This review is long overdue, but this place is amazing.TLDR: I visited dozens of places around the valley and this place has the BEST staff/service, location, features, and value for your money.My girlfriend and I both came from different Mark Taylor communities (which we loved) and had pretty high expectations for a good apartment complex. We visited dozens of places all over the valley looking for a good deal with impressive features, but more importantly a good management team because we know that can make the difference between loving your home for the next few years and being miserable.The location is great with a short drive to the freeway and many stores/restaurants. If you havent been here in person or seen the pictures dont worry, the place is beautiful. The pool area is extremely nice with tons of areas for hanging out, grilling, and enjoying the AZ sun. The landscaping is always taken care of and I rarely see trash or anything laying around outside. All the apartments are updated and have everything you would want WITHOUT charging you fees for every little thing. Ive been many places that asked me to pay hundreds of dollars extra in order to have a fan, lights in bedrooms/living rooms, standard kitchen appliances from this decade, etc. One of the previous apartments Ive lived in went as far as to remove all the updated appliances and delay my move in because I didnt want to pay the hundreds of dollars extra a month! You will not have that problem here.The staff is great. We left many places and didnt turn back because of horror stories from the staff or just horrible service when we tried to visit. Our first visit here we were amazed by the service Sam provided. She truly is the best, and if you dont have her helping you out I feel bad. Shes friendly, helpful, professional and actually cares about helping. She will make a great property manager one day and wed be lucky to live at her community then. She is one of the main reasons we decided to live here.Stephanie and Tom helped us move in. We showed up with our uhaul full of everything we owned and ran into some big problems (not the fault of the staff) and werent sure if wed be able to stay here. Without hesitation, Tom and Stephanie went out of their way to make things right. This was in the middle of a Saturday shift when things were already very busy for them and they made us a top priority. I didnt get their names, but the maintenance staff were the other half of our solution and addressed our problem very quickly and efficiently. I wouldnt have been surprised if they told us we couldnt move in for another week but instead they buckled down and helped us out right away. This was the best service Ive received from any business and reassured us that we made the right choice by living here. Sam was a major reason we chose Camden, and Tom, Stephanie, and the maintenance team are the reasons we will stay here as long as we are in Scottsdale.If you made it this far into this review you must be interested, so stop hesitating and come sign up. Ive done all the work for you by visiting almost every complex in the Scottsdale area, and this is by far the best one. I will add an update once we move out!

A solid four stars. The staff is friendly, maintenance (generally) reacts quickly to problems and the grounds are clean. Ive read reviews about not having much guest parking, but this is a problem Ive never experienced. I must be in a part of the property that has ample parking. The business center and pool are nice, there is DVD rental, and free coffee in the front office.The cons are minor and are probably a reflection on Camden, the parent company. Valet waste (pay a dollar a day to have someone take your garbage to the dumpster for you) is not optional.

The apartment office decided to stop accepting packages so now I have to have everything delivered to my work office. I only work with 5 other people so my boss thought he was helping when he opened one of my packages...It happened to be lingerie. Shoot me.

The worst place to live. The area is beautiful, unfortunately the staff at this location does not understand what it means to keep the premises clean. Unless you enjoy smelling dog feces, rotting trash or marijuana every day, this is not the place for your. The smells were so bad that I was unable to open the front door or windows. If you complain to the front office staff, you will be told that the solution is to increase your rent, move to another location and pay or that your neighbors can file harassment charges against you for your complaints.I moved in right when this complex was transitioning to the new name Camden San Marcos. And it sounded like it would be great, I soon realized that it was not a good place to live. I should have documented everything as required by the Landlord/Tenant Act, but I do not have the time with my busy daily schedule.I would never live in another Camden Community due to this experience.

I just want to let everybody know that the maintenance team are providing great service they are very professional.I will like to thanks the resident that found a set of keys in the gym and returned then to the office.I will like to thx the staff people for keeping my keys save.Im glad I have my keys back.thx to all
