We had a great time playing trivia and the food was great. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is they are having staffing issues and not enough experienced servers were available. I feel this will greatly improve in the future when they are fully staffed.

Could be much better if better managed. Better customer service needed and better hours needed as well for the cost.

Beautiful setting,great food. Could use more staff when hosting events. Bar drinks are outrageously over-priced. Food staff are excellent, but again, they need more staff.

Club house management is lacking. Manager, Tara, does not return calls or emails. Yesterday I questioned her about tips that were added to my account that I did not do. She then accused me and my family of bringing in pizza and donuts (outside food not allowed). After swearing on my life to Tim who reported he saw us with his own eyes physically. My family and I drove to the clubhouse so he could see us -showing him he had mistaken us for another family. He still continued saying it was us. My husband has requested with police to see camera footage to prove it wasnt us but Tara says she doesnt know how to find it on footage. Least to say our family has been banned from the Club House. We have never created a problem before, always abided by their rule and never missed a membership payment. After reading complaints of the facility on social media I did state the pool was run down, motor to slide broken, water pad had not worked all season and the cost of a ring pop was a mind blowing $3 and pepole overserved alchol. Apparently, this is harassment according to the Manager, Tara. Im honestly blown away and disgusted with this.

The gym is nice. The pool is fun (but needs some work) when it is open. We only joined last year because the price dropped, but it has been an over all decent experience. It may be a tad bit mismanaged and the food is meh, but for what we use it for (mainly the pool and gym) it serves its purpose.

Very Nice Club. Mrs Retta was excellent, she was very informative and knowledgeable about the facility. I will share this with friends and family.

The club is dated. The food was kinda blah. My nachos just had chopped up hamburgers on them with no seasoning. A couple next to us recommended them, and their nachos had lettuce and tomatoes....ours came out with none of that. When I mentioned it to 2 servers neither even acknowledged it or made any attempt to correct it. The bar only 1 TV. When I called to visit the club to see if we would join I was told someone would come talk to us about the club and its amenities. That didnt happen. The website advertised live music on Fridays, not the Friday I went.

Great country club in Savannah. Plenty of activities (check out their trivia night) and a friendly, helpful staff.

Management is awful. They continually attempt to collect monthly fees for a membership that was cancelled almost a year ago. We have sent multiple emails and requested to speak with Tara over the phone but she is never available nor returns our messages.

Very top notch. Clear, friendly atmosphere and beautiful scenery.

We could not ask for a better place for our daughters wedding & reception!! Tara was fantastic and so easy to work with. After Savannah refused to allow the ceremony in Forsyth Park due to Covid I was in a panic but ONE CALL to Tara and all was taken care of. The pricing is also very reasonable.If you are looking for a place to get married or to have an event definitely seriously take a look at Grand Lake. Also check out Bruce with Dvine Events. He is fabulous!

Savannah Irish Festival held a fundraiser at Grand Lake Club Sunday the 27th of September and We cannot give enough praise to Tara O’Sullivan and her staff! Everything was perfect! Great location, professional servers/bartenders, they adhered to the CDC guidelines for COVID. They made non members feel welcome. The food was delicious! We will be recommending Grand Lakes for anyone looking to do an event! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

This review is not directed at the club itself but at the management. We had a great experience when we were involved with the club. However, we recently have had to cancel our membership due to financial reasons, and Tara OSullivan has to be the most unorganized and unprofessional individual that works at that establishment. She told us to email our cancellation, which was back in May, and that there was a 30 day policy so we would be charged for June. That all happened exactly as she described. However, we then received a charge in August for July, which we should not have, and when we tried to contact her we were told to email her our dispute and she would call us back. We did this on 8/2. It has been 10 days, at least 4 phone calls, and a repeat email of the 8/2 one....and what have we received....no phone call or email. This lead to myself going into the facility to speak with her to try and resolve and very simple issue...and what do i get...Actually hearing her tell the receptionist that she is in a meeting, and has a meeting following that. Mind you this conversation would take maybe 30 seconds, and was just to actually speak with a person to make sure that the charge would be refunded. It is pretty bad when Tara OSullivan can not fix a simple 20 minute problem in the 10 days or even give us a simple phone call to reassure us that the problem will be fixed. Let alone she forces her receptionist to do her dirty work and tell us that she is too busy to talk to us. Unprofessional and plain rude. Customer service 101.....keep her customers happy, even if they are canceling. This leads to referrals and return customers. She is absolutely terrible at her job.

We moved to Southbridge within the last year and were excited to join Grand Lake Lodge. That excitement quickly diminished due to the poor management and lack of upkeep of the club. The overall appearance of the club and pool area is very outdated and worn out looking. The staff, with few exceptions, are inexperienced and lack people skills. The restaurant is frequently out of menu items and the atmosphere is depressing. We quit our membership and I would not recommend Grand Lake. There are too many other places to spend your money.

Great facility. We had dinner here last night. The service was on point. Great drinks and great prices. The food was fantastic. The live music was a great touch. I would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful place and a good venue, but they did not have any capacity for keeping catered foods at serving temperature, except on the serving line. All food brought out to replenish the serving line was cold. Not lukewarm, not slightly warm, COLD. Not safe and inedible.

Between handling COVID-19’s stringent guidelines, remodeling the bar, expanding the kitchen, having the entire inside of the club painted, trying to the book events and opening up a new spa with Vitali, I’m not sure how one person can single handedly run a club, be a single mom of three and still be so dang nice! TARA O’SULLIVAN is superwoman!

To put it bluntly, this place is tired. The inside of the building is old and in need of renovation. The pool needs help as well. The paint on the pool deck near the kids area is flaking off and all of the furniture is aging. Although the staff for the most part is friendly, the service in the restaurant is poor with long wait times when ordering food. The place needs a major overhaul

Very nice country club with great amenities. The lady at the front desk, Kathleen, was very helpful and very friendly. The food at the Bistro was good too. We are looking forward to enjoying our membership here.

Good location for small private parties. Will accommodate about 100 people easily. Decent lighting. Only problem is it is upstairs, so if you have bunch of stuff for decoration, will have to carry upstairs and the elevator is kinda slow...

I joined the club primarily for the gym but also for the events and spa. I was super disappointed that the spa didnt offer manicures. The classes are generally an older crowd. That doesnt impact the great tabatta or pump workouts at all. However I will never attend another yoga class as it is overcrowded with many grumpy seniors and primarily stretching. One racist old man announced his departure from the club for a list of reasons at the end of yoga and it was very uncomfortable. Most of the members are super sweet and the staff is great. I really enjoy every class instructor. Babysitting for the gym only lasts until noon and the classes are early (for me.) The pool is great, especially the slide! Its also wonderful to be able to order pool side. I wish they offered manicures and more classes as well as extended childcare hours.

I have avoided eating here because the food in the past has been mediocre at best. They changed ownership a couple of years ago and I still didnt return. Well, Im regretting that I stayed away so long. I recently had three meals here and every one was outstanding. Im going to absolutely be a return customer!!

Beautiful drive into the Club House. Deube slow the roads are built with lots of curves. The roads make for a nice slow drive. I was working a wedding that was beautiful outside wedding. Wishing the New Couple all the Best !!

I have been a member for many years and the place has completely gone down hill. Every Thursday night at the restaraunt is a complete disaster. Food is horrendous quality and the management at the facility has no idea what they are doing. Complete waste of money. It’s a shame since the location is great and it could be so much more.

First, let me say I am a fan of the Club. I live very close and want the Club to be successful. While no venue in Savannah is perfect every night, my wife and I have been coming to the Club for several months now for burger night and quite frankly it is a very pleasant way to meet your food minimum. Yes, we have had a few issues but they have been resolved fairly and effectively such they we keep coming back.Those that are upset about the food minimum should really try other private clubs and maybe they can find what suits their needs better. But food minimums are a norm especially for smaller private clubs with food services.In conclusion, some folks who have reviewed on this service seem to to have a real lack of respect for other members by saying all good reviews are from insiders while their one or two star reviews are the only ones that should be believed. There are always to resolve issues but burning bridges and trying to tear down our Club by innuendos and rumours is not an adult nor proactive way to do it.Frankly, I cant wait for next burger night!

Wedding venue was beautiful. But AC not turned on before guests arrived, we actually sweated and they finally turned it down. Not enough electric outlets to prepare food for 150 people - kitchen stoves & ovens werent working - had to use crockpots! Carpets werent cleaned, lightbulbs not replaced. Had a great time anyway but disappointed in this facility.

Recently moved into the area. Grand Lake was an unexpected perk. Love the club, restaurant, bar and gym! Employees are so friendly and attentive.

Great place to work out, hang at the pool and meet friends/neighbors for drinks.

Still waiting for an appointment time for the spa...called and no one had info or the ability to make an appt apparently and if u go in a certain person must be there to do so, so still no spa appt and we think its a joke. Also learned more than we wanted to learn about the south bridge swingers so would not recommend this wide open (no gate main road is pretty much a high way for workers and people skipping traffic ) neighborhood spa
