We made reservations for our large party. When making our reservation they asked about the occasion which was nice, we were celebrating our wedding and having a bachelor-bachelorette dinner before going out on the town separately. However they did nothing special to accommodate the occasion which is fine but was a little misleading over the phone. The menu had unique and delicious dinner options and appetizers available. The drinks were also very tasty, I had the head of the top (I think thats what it was called!) It was very refreshing with watermelon and mint. I ordered the chicken dish and thought it was wonderful the chicken was plump and juicy but the sides were very small portioned. My fiance had the grouper and was not crazy about it, everyone at our table had various dinners and seemed to enjoy the food overall. The server was nice but was not very attentive and it took a long time to get anything.

This spot is great for a relaxing leisurely (long) meal. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly and a bit silly, in a good way. The rest of the staff is also very friendly. The food was good and seemed fresh. I dont think they had any draft beers. The space is energetic and compact. Overall, lovely dinner. Make sure to make reservations in advance.

I have never loved a restaurant as much as this! The service was phenomenal. Our waitress, Ali, made perfect recommendations from the calamari to clubs. The calamari was very unique; I do not think I will ever enjoy it as much as I did tonight. I also ordered the black groupor which was superb as well. The portions were also very large for a restaurant of this caliber. I sampled my comrades steak, and I will say that I have had better. However, their steaks were quite large and very much enjoyed. Again I would like to say how impressed I was with Alis service. Truly a magnificent restaurant. If I were to change anything about this restaurant it would be the lighting. The third floor was a little dark.

Everything about this place was great. We had a really good date night here. It is a little pricey and you can probably get the same quality food for less money at another restaurant BUT location, location, location. Dining inside the city market provides alot of options for after dinner. I highly recommend making reservations if you plan on dining here.

If I could give a negative rating I would. We had dinner here on Friday night 05-20-16. Once we arrived inside at the host stand we awkwardly stood their for 4-5 minutes until someone greeted our party of 4. At this point, it was clear something was wrong. Then we sit down, someone pours us water and then we wait another 8-10 minutes before our server decides to acknowledge our presence. Our server was a social misfit, her facial expressions and overall attitude were as if we were bothering her by sitting in her area (which was not by choice). Overall the food was good, but I can honestly say I have had better customer service at a drive through. Worst dining experience in Savannah, GA...and I live here. If you want first class food and service go to Elizabeths, the owners work there every night and are extremely passionate about their food and your experience as a paying customer.

Food was great....service....not so much. You usually sit at the bar and enjoy engaging conversation right? Thats not the case here. Manager seemed gruff with employees and overall a weak service experience! Food was worth the visit though. Way to go chef!!!! Fix your front of the house though!!!!!!

Not impressed. Good but not dancing in your seat good. Food is exceptionally cooked but lacks flavor. Steak and fish both could use a kick of flavor.

I went here for an anniversary expecting it to be the best restaurant in Savannah. I was wrong. The calamari was good and the desert sampler was great. Everything else was so-so. My fiance and I ordered scallops with truffle butter. Both our scallops tasted so burnt and bitter beyond being edible. Maybe the grill they cooked the scallops over wasnt clean, I dont know. So we sent them back and had them pan-seared instead. The scallops were definitely better, but still not worth $34 by any means. Plus they werent even cooked in the butter. They just bring out a little cup with one small little scoop of the truffle butter. It wouldve been nice if we couldve received some type of discount for waiting so long. And the manager Ernie from the other reviews acted defensive and snobby to me and my fiance as well, probably because we are young and because he thinks the chef is incapable of making mistakes with scallops. We wont be going back.

Stopping in Savannah on a long drive from Florida to Philly, we found Sapphire after a little online reading and some walking around inspecting menus. Are we glad we decided on Sapphire. We were tired, the room wasnt crowded on a Labor Day evening, so we decided to entrust our palates to the chef by ordering the chefs tasting with paired wines. This was one of the best dinner decisions we have ever made.Starting with cocktails, it became apparent immediately that the bartender knew what he was doing and took pride in making a creative drink. I dont remember what they called their Manhattan-like special, but it was delicious. My fiancees Bombay Sapphire martini was perfect. The six courses served were exquisite: creatively conceived and executed and served by a thoughtful, knowledgeable waiter who answered all of our questions and volunteered interesting information while letting us eat each course in peace. The delicious scallop with grit risotto first course, the excellent, savory mussels laced with bacon and herbs, and the steak tartar with fine green peppercorns were all outstanding. But the crowning achievement was the Ahi tuna with a mole-like white chocolate sauce... absolutely the most delightful and satisfying Ahi we have ever tasted. The wine selections continued to be near perfect as the dinner progressed. All in all, a truly outstanding meal conceived, prepared, and served with artistry. Thank you Sapphire. We just might have to make special trips to Savannah.

This was a great surprise! Easily the best restaurant we encountered in Savannah! Atmosphere, food, ambiance, service, all beyond reproach.. The menu includes several fresh local fish as well as shrimp, Calimara, and other standards (steak, chicken, duck, veal, lamb). We had fish, calimara, salads. Each entree was served with a distinctive sauce and delicious. Desserts were excellent. The music was pleasant. The room was nice and quiet, in distinction from most of the other noisy restaurants we encountered on our stay.

I would like to buy some of the artwork on the walls. I believe the artists name is Drome. Does anyone know where I could find out more information about him? Thank you. PS: Had bouillabaisse, was outstanding. My husband had the tuna mignon- also incredible.

The wait for our food was long and was told ny our waitress it was because there was a big party down stairs. Guess upstairs is not a priority. The food was good but not fresh out of the kitchen it sat waiting for us as well. No sign of management checking in on the tables. I will try someplace elsr next time in Savannah

Was disappointed in the food, it all seemed very unimaginative and to be honest, bland. I guess the restaurant comes out favorably compared to its neighbour, Paula Deens place, but its really overpriced, for very basic fare. Great cocktails though.

Perfect end to our southern flavours culinary Savannah visit! Deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked seafood dishes ... wonderfully personable host and server ... it was pouring rain outside, but inside we hardly noticed and left the resto happy and satisfied. RECOMMEND highly. Hers: grilled Salmon w/ choice of sauces (spicy tartar, wild mushroom demi, white truffle butter yummm). His: rice-encrusted Tuna ‘Mignon’ & carolina ‘gold’ Rice Grits. Shared: jumbo lump crab cakes & golden potato puree.

Forget the poor reviews. The food was very fresh, perfectly prepared and innovative. Lobster and Quail as an appetizer? Whats tired about that? Big Eye tuna with crispy rice and beets? great combination. An excellent wine list with a number of bargains, including the Daedalus Pinot Noir. Dont skip the desserts but share one, as the meal portions are more than ample. Visited again in 2012. Just as good. Have the Black Grouper and Fois Gras.
