I wish I could leave a zero star review. This is quite possibly THE worst customer service Ive ever had with any business EVER. I was literally yelled at by the owner Armando.Id scheduled my appointment with him and when I showed up at his house he was not home. I called him and he told me to leave my machine in a car in his driveway. I told him okay and to call me with a quote and to let me know what was wrong with my machine.A week later he texted me and said my machine is ready for $89. I told him that I asked for a quote and that the machine was cheap and not worth an $89 repair. He said thats his base price and thats what he told me when we met. I told him we never even met and he said he had me confused with another customer. So I told him that I couldnt pay $89 and could I come pick my machine up. He said not unless I pay what he quoted me. I again explained that he never gave me a quote. He asked me what Im willing to pay to get my machine and I said $40. He said $60 and you take it home. I said no and he said Im finished.EXTREMELY rude. I am appalled.
Armando Alvarado is such a nice and a very knowledgable person. I enjoyed talking with him so much, but even more I was impressed with his service. He repaired my machine overnight and the cost was very reasonable. Use him - he is great!
Im sorry to say that Im no longer working...and have retired...Medical fore most on my decision ..thank you all for allowing me to work with you.
I took my vintage (approximately 60 year old) machine to Armando Alvarado at Artisan, and fortunately had an old similar machine to use for parts. He fixed my machine and cleaned and oiled it in only one day. It hums just like a new one! I highly recommend him for any sewing machine repairs.
A man who has truly mastered his craft.
