This was the worst experience Ive had with any mechanic since I moved to Savannah. I had called almost two weeks in advance to make an appointment. When I arrived, at my scheduled time, I was told that the car wouldnt be looked at for about an hour and then an alignment would take another hour. My appointment was 30 minutes after they opened. I expected to wait on the services to be done but not for the car to be seen. What was the point of an appointment? After an hour, I finally see my car being pulled out of its parking spot.Two more hours later, after sitting in a hot office lobby with no way to leave, an employee approaches me. He says that I do not need new brakes and that my alignment has not yet been done. I told him not to worry about it. After three hours, I was not sitting in there anymore. I paid my bill and got ready to leave.I walked to my car and started it. There had previously been a ticking noise from a fuel purge valve. I told the man on the phone when I scheduled the appointment that I needed one to give ample opportunity for it to be ordered. When I started my car, there was still ticking. The purge valve that I had previously was still in the car. I checked my receipt and they had not charged me for that but with the price I was charged, I had assumed it had been done.Overall experience:I sat in a barely air conditioned office on a 90 degree day for 3 hours just to have my oil changed. What I asked for was not done. I was charged $100 for CHECKING alignment and brakes. Checking and an oil change took 3 hours when there was an appointment made. I will NEVER go back. Id be better off going to Wal-Mart Auto.

Waste of time and money. Went there for an estimate and all they did was waste my time and tell me what was wrong with my car without even looking at it or giving them much if any information

Brought in my car same day after calling. Tire was leaking air and I wasnt sure why. In a half hour after they took my car, they rolled it out. There was a nail in the tire, which I didnt expect because Valvoline told me there wasnt a nail before rotating them.Excellent guys, very calm environment.

A good mechanic is as important as a good doctor these days. Mitchell automotive is trustworthy and reasonably priced. The fact that it’s family owned and operated means among other things the customer won’t be placed on hold & calls get returned promptly.Highly recommended!

Barry and crew patched my run flat tire when no other tire shop would do it. Only took 45 minutes and they brought me to the back to show me their work before putting the tire back on the car. Highly recommend!

Park 2 to my 95 F250I just want to start by saying I apologize to the mechanic Dustin Mitchell he was right and I was wrong he did fixed the brakes correctly I just didnt understand what was going on the shop is a good shop and I will be doing business with them again so again I apologize to Dustin for what Ive done and wrote that nasty comment and review and I just wanted to say that I am really really sorry. Also he didnt charge me for the 2nd time around looking at my truck so I really appreciate that thank you.

We were traveling on I-95 after a long ride from Vermont to Florida. My car was having issues and overheating which definitely raised our anxiety level. We got off at the nearest exit and were directed to Mitchells Auto. This place was a godsend, not knowing where we were and being road-weary. Barry answered all our questions and put us at ease. He calmly figured out what was wrong, replace the radiator and got us back on the road within a few hours to complete our trip with the car running perfectly again. This repair shop is honest friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone if he was where I lived he would be my go-to mechanic. thanks again to you and your staff. you guys are the best!!! Ive done business with them for 5 years and never had a problem until this week. Took my car up there to get the mufflers and exhaust manifold gaskets replaced because they were rotted. Once it was finished my father picked up the keys because I couldnt make it before they closed. Finally got there to take the car home later that night and when I got in the car, the steering column was falling into my lap, the car would no longer go into park and all the belts were squealing so bad I couldnt hear the exhaust anymore. I contacted them the next morning and they said they were not responsible for it and would not fix it. I had to have my father take his chances on driving it back to my house and hope it made it when I drove it to Mitchells perfectly fine the morning before. Now I am having to take it to another shop and pay them to fix what Mitchells has messed up on my car. I know it is an old car and things can go wrong, but Ive been driving this car back and forth to Richmond Hill and Hinesville for the past few weeks since I got it with no issues other than the exhaust. When I asked how it is possible it was in that good of shape before I brought it to them and now its unsafe to drive, Barry became rude and told me he would not do anything else with it. I used to recommend this place to friends but now I am telling everyone to stay as far away as possible. I never write reviews but thought this needed to be done for other customers.

I worked with the Technician, Kendall and couldnt have been more happy with his work and how professional he was to work with. He installed an air conditioner in a vintage car that I own. The installation was so good that it looks like my car came with it from the factory! I also referred a friend to him to look at and air conditioning problem and he was also pleased with his work. I just referred my neighbor with a steering problem to your shop. You have a real jewel with an employee like Kendall working for you.

It is hard to find a good, honest Mechanic. I went to Savannah Tire for years before they were bought out. They have since become no better than national brands (over priced and untrustworthy). I was recommended to try Mitchells. I drove by the place perhaps hundreds of times but never considered them. I am glad I gave them my business. I went in for an oil change and to get some small lights installed. They were fast, friendly and affordable. They even have free coffee and Wifi while you wait. If you are tired of the other guys, these guys are great.

Cracked my radiator on my drive home from work. Called four different shops the next day, Mitchell’s Automotive had the best price and was able to replace the radiator that day! Highly recommend them. I know I will be a returning customer, Thank you!!

Ive been using Mitchells since 1999. Barry and his team are honest, trustworthy, and always do a great job on my vehicles. Whether its scheduled preventative maintenance or something has gone wrong, they are my go to mechanics.

My husband and I were driving from Florida to Virginia for the holidays and our battery light came on. This happened a few months earlier and we had the battery and alternator replaced so we didnt want to take any chances. We looked up auto shops around us and found this one. They did a complete check of everything and even filled our windshield wiper fluid for us and didnt charge us a thing. What a wonderful relief and going the extra mile. If we lived around this area this is where we would take our vehicles for sure.

I took my nissan frontier to the dealership at first, BIG mistake! They did a botch job and charged me twice as much as here! They repaired everything quickly and I just drop my car off, call them, then pick it up when I can. They work around my busy schedule! Very affordable, and they actually work with you! They told me what really needed to be done and what could wait, which is not something most places will do!! Very glad I found a good local mechanic!

Performed a engine swap on my truck in 2015, did an excellent job, and has stood by their work. Water pump went out 2 years after the swap, I expected to pay but Mitchell covered everything even labor under warranty and handled the warrenty paperwork

This place will not do work on your car unless they put all brand new parts on your car, I took my truck in here for a front end alignment after replacing everything except the tie rod ends and they were like they move, told me they could not do the alignment unless I put new ones on, so I took it to Dorsey tire and got an alignment, Dorsey said they had at most 1/16 of an inch movement but they were still able to do the work. Now the truck drives as straight as an arrow.

Honest and upfront. I recently moved to the area and was sad I left behind my mechanic. These guys have fit the bill. They relentlessly pursued a problem that kept reoccurring without charging me an arm and a leg.I will be bringing my cars to them now and into the future.

I live local and am a patron of Mitchells for several years, I took my wifes Nissan Sentra here last month for a wierd strange noise from underneath somewhere and strange vibrations from the brake pedal but only intermittent. I knew this could be a troubleshooting nightmare. They changed out a frozen bad caliper and rotor but the noise came back the next day. Mitchells took the car back and for 3 days they trouble shot and eventually found and fixed the problem. The good part is they didnt charge me a cent for those extra 3 days, Dustin the boss is a saint, he was just sorry it took so long. Their honesty and communication through the whole process was outstanding. Thank you guys. Oh and the best part is my wife is happy too. RESULT.
