Bottom line up front: Unless you are absolutely stuck with finding a place to live, I would caution living here for sake of sanity. After speaking to friends, I would caution living with any community managed by Balfour Beatty.Been living here for almost a year, and have to say this has been the worst housing and maintenance management Ive seen at 6 installations. Sika Smith in charge of the community management office acts like shes trying to help, but as others have pointed out as well she can be slow to respond. Ive been told excuses for the last 5 months on why the lawn care continues to go around 4 weeks per service. Its sad watching spouses watch 5 kids while using consumer grade equipment on 2 feet of grass So their kids can play around the parks and neighbourhood. Instead of fixing the issue, my information is provided to the contractor like it is my responsibility to fix the service for the community.Other issues Ive dealt with, 4 weeks to get AC working correctly during the summer (and we have a good ac unit)Separating glass on my rear door letting heat in, finally got an update after around 5 weeks that the glass that was cut is 2” short and we are now back to waiting for whenever they get to it.While moving in had nothing but issues due to timelines to move in. Failed communication led to my family spending another 6 days in a hotel while awaiting a new date for household goods. When we finally were able to move in they were an hour late and had to warn us of all the wet paint that they just put down, and the house was filthy of loose paint and dead bugs we had to clean.Due to housing not wanting to fix wiring, many houses have jimmy rigged internet access forcing a window to remain ajar for cables to connect. The lady who moved us in told me three times that rent is free despite my surprise and disbelief. After confirming it again I was surprised to see BAH taken out the first month. Speaking to management they said there was nothing they could do and apologized for the false information their employee confirmed. Finally going over their head I was able to get a partial recoupment (about 1/3 BAH) as an apology for lying.

EDIT: Nothing has been done to help the situation the housing company decided to give our person information to the contractor that they hired to paint the houses. The manager Sika decides she doesn’t want to talk to people she goes into a meeting all day long. And then at the end of our conversation she said this is above her and she can’t help us so we ask who we can go to and she refused to give us anyone above her. We asked her for an email of everything she has said for our records when we take all of this to our lawyers and she said no she refuses to send anything which is now negligent on their end. Do not move here they care more about the contractors that they hire then they do the soldiers that live in their housingThey contracted someone to paint the houses in September. And we tried getting housing to work with us and when they know they have messed up they are now refusing to answer our phone calls yet when we call from other phone numbers they will answer

The worst housing in my military career. They do not care about the families that live in their communities. There have been multiple complaints that they ignore. There is black mold in their units and they just come by every so often to spray something on it instead of actually fixing the problem. The housing office staff is completely unprofessional and Sika the housing manager seems to have no idea how to manage the housing office.

My husband was electrocuted when he grabbed the metal front door with 110 volts because of shoddy work the contractor did fixing a wet soggy wall by the front door with 3 switches in the wall. Also took 2 weeks to fix a leaking bathtub and the smell of what was called moisture was overwhelming.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures. They stick you in Wilson acres community which they try to hide how it looks. They only offer you better housing when you complain and tell them you will love off post. My family grew larger and I went to them inquiring about a larger housing, they told me I would be on a waiting list. I’ve been on this “waiting list for almost 3 years now”. I’m PCSing soon so I don’t even want to bother.Maintenance is mediocre, the yard work sucks, and fees upon fees when you move out. Do yourself a favor and just live off post if the convenience factor is not on your list. (Convenience meaning close to work/ schools and commisary). The only positive experience is with a leasing officer, named Maricela. She was very understanding and if something was wrong she did all she could to correct it and made living here on Hunter tolerable.

These individuals that run the office should be replaced. My husband put in an application online when we were stationed overseas and received orders for Hunter months in advance. No one ever emailed back the status or even called us. We left multiple messages with no one ever getting back to us. We were forced to live off post. That is not how you treat soldiers and their families.

This place is a nightmare, its very rare you wont be charged a cleaning deposit. Do not expect office staff to communicate with each other, it will never happen. You have only a couple who are nice, the rest are full of attitude and want you to go away. The house its self, we had promises made for things to be fixed and it never happened. Hope you like bugs, because there are TONS of them. It doesnt matter how clean you are, these homes are infested with cockroaches and mice (older homes). They will give you notices about anything and everything, and the lawn care is trash, they will blow grass on you and your car. If you are owed a refund, dont expect it for at least a month, to a month and half later. One star isnt even good enough for these people.

Overall i would not recommend to anyone. Its over priced. The only value they hold is being on base and close to work.Getting work orders done is a pain since i know more then the kids coming to do the work having to help them or end up fixing the issues my self so i dont have to deal with the headaches of the so called maintenance team. Say that cuase they came to replace my garbage disposal and forgot to reconnect my drain hose from the dish wash. Currently my ac is leaking water over my hallway and today is the third time i have had to bring it up and have them come look at it. Run off just needs to be angled correctly...Assistant dont always know what they are talking about when it comes to moving in or moving out or what forms you all need and what all is required. Any time i have an issue i have to physically go and bring it up several times to get anything done. And when you think its all taken care off and you go back something else is missing or has changed.Fridges have rust in them they are so old they are cheaply keeping the homes to a minimum standard instead of giveing everyone a high level and wuality of living that all soldiers have earned. Fyi i am a SFC.

Decent housing office, but service could be better. Very selfish when it comes to pleasing the customers. Lucky for them we dont have choices on base for who provides housing services.

Long story but when they thought I had lost my paper work with our preinspection they tried charhing us for everything that was messed up when we moved in..Our home was not move in ready when we got there. We actually had to stay in a hotel the night we were supposed to move in. Anyway they tried to charge me around $3,000 but when I told them I found my copies they mysteriously found theirs. I ended up only having to pay the clean fee and for 1 blind. I literally was in there for hours arguing to the point I ended up in tears. They didnt care, just kept telling me the rules had changed since Id moved in, that none of the same people worked there, they had no way to prove the condition of the house when I moved in & they no longer replace carpet etc. Etc..I will say the 4 years we lived on Hunter they were pretty nice but I never really had any big issues. I do know a lot of people are having mold now and they pretty much just paint over it.

Lived here for 3 years. House was a pit with dead bugs on the ground and a cockroach problem and when we moved out they made us pay 400$ to clean the house even after we spent two days and steam clean the carpets. Service was bad when. We needed electrical repairs they just moved us to another house after a year of asking to get it fixed. In the new house we would have to beg them to fix anything. They say they will come anytime from8 to 12 then when you stop everything for 4hours they dont show up. I would rather live in downtown Savannah trust me this isnt like other bases this is the pig pin

The only reason Im giving them 1 star is because I cant give them no stars. God forbid you dont give them a 30 day notice that they dont tell you about and they charge you a full days BAH PER DAY for each day that you dont tell them. Now they want over $1200, not including the cleaning charges and misc items, for 22 days that I wont even be living there. Then they act like I should be grateful that I have 30 days to pay it. I didnt even know when I was going to leave 30 days out. Meanwhile they will move another family into this house and get their BAH too so they will get paid twice that month for the same hoist. This is the kind of BS that happens when you let a civilian company have control over anything on a military installation.

Houses cheaply built. Not worth losing all your BAH if you dont have to. Good luck getting maintenance to show up in a timely manner either. Claims to have 100mbs fiber data lines. I paid for the fastest data speeds offered and struggled most of the time to get anything faster than 5mbs.

This is the worse housing ever in Savannah. They overprice the housing and takes all the soldiers BAH for no reason, thiefs! When you call maintenance to fix a problem, they never shows up.. They are full of excuses... My piece of advice, never rent a house from this community, Rather drive miles to work then to stay on their property. When try to move out, they charge you almost 700 plus even when you did self cleaning on the property. Soldiers, dont wast your BAH on this scams. They very unprofessional, poor customer service, lack of skills and very rude especially that girl in charged of maintanance...They need to replace them with new employees that will treat the soldiers and family better. Wish can give zero star.
