If I could give no stars I would. I do not like feeling like I am chasing you when it comes to business. I called this place multiple times and either I was not able to connect or I left a message and they never got back with me. I drove for hours to get a tour and when I arrived no one came to the door so they missed out on a potential renter. I am highly disappointed.Update: I called the Lory to ask my questions and give them another chance, this time someone actually picked up however she was dry and short. I asked my question and she was still very short and unfriendly, she rushed me off the phone and I hung up after saying goodbye. She didnt ask if I had anymore questions, if I was interested in getting on a waitlist or anything. The Lory has certainly missed out on a future resident.
Although we love our apartment it would better if we didnt live by the trash bin. Although the office staff tries their best, I understand the trash that is constantly building up is the result of lazy residents. It Is to the point where we dont even invite people over. The smell, and the disgusting appearance is embarrassing. Definitely looking to move only because when we walk outside this is our view and its disgusting.
USED TO BE a great place to live. BUT NOW, since the property changed hands in Aug 2021, things have been DISGUSTING and APPALLING!! (no exaggeration, read below)>>>Pool: Lack of maintenance has resulted in *****GREEN ALGAE in POOL!!! ***** which has to be a City Ordinance Violation. New management, despite being fully aware of this serious health hazard, does not care to get the pool up to code! Its breeding MOSQUITOES (WJCL reported on Aug 31st about West Nile Virus in mosquitoes) and the water is beginning to stink! Havent even bothered to empty the pool>>>Trash: Oh My God!! Its like seeing a trash landfill site. They have an open top dumpster next to the covered one. Trash builds up outside the compactor and overflows the dumpster all week and is on full display for your senses all weekend long. Amazed how apartments close to it tolerate the nasty site of litter and God awful stench !!! I hope they get it under control.>>>Laundromat: Its like playing russian roulette! Washers and dryers are consistently malfunctioning and not taken care of. The ones that arent working have no warning/notice on them! So, you wouldnt know until after youve spent your money and time if the one you selected is working. If you end up with a broken machine, the management wont lend a helping hand. Itd be upto you to deal with your own misery, loss of time, and not to mention...money! Go through the hassle of contacting the laundromat company to recoup money. Management takes no responsibility for the inconvenience and trouble caused to tenants from the service they promise to provide when you sign the lease.>>>Courier Mail Packages: Office doesnt hold any packages. I guess thats quite standard but still good to know.Besides the above issues...do not have any other gage of the new management. Time will tell! Keeping the fingers crossed or will say sayonara!!
Coming to Savannah from New York City, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Moss Pointe was recommended to me by family. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and everything exceeded my expectations. I spoke and coordinated with two very fine professionals in the office, Tara and Rejeane (not sure of spelling). What a pleasure to work with. The apartment I was assigned to was in excellent condition with all appliances and fixtures working well. So far, I’m more than satisfied with a well kept housing community. Clean, quiet and comfortable. I’m happy to be here with my family.
I don’t recommend living here and if I could move out I would. The apartment itself is outdated and it’s not nice on the outside either. It’s June 10 and the pool is still closed. The laundry facilities are typically dirty and half the time the machines don’t work and you waste your money.. Just make sure you come tour the place before signing a lease because I didn’t and it was a mistake.
Best place in Savannah. From the office staff to the maintenance staff. I have zero complaints.
The staff was very professional. All of my questions were answered. The property was well maintained. I was impressed.
I moved to Savannah GA little over a year ago. From the moment I toured Moss Pointe I knew this was where I wanted to be. The staff makes you feel important and is always there when you need them and go above and beyond. I am happy to call them all friends. Just a simple wave and a smile from staff and residents every day when you drive in from a long day at work makes you feel at home.
I made an appointment to take a tour and loved it!! The two ladies in the office, Tara and Rajene were very friendly and welcoming! I love the dog park and pool area here! I can’t wait to move in!!
I have lived here for a few years now and I love it! The staff in the office and maintenance are great from Holly to Tara, and the new lady! (whose name I cant remember at the moment) Service orders are completed in a timely manner and I really do like how interactive the leasing office is with the Moss Pointe community. There are always events for residents to attend and enjoy.
Great people and decent housing, but our power has been flickering for the last two months and they have said they will fix it twice now and have yet to do so. We have sent countless emails regarding the situation and nothing has changed. Its effecting our school work and ability to function around the apartment.
I’ve been living here since March this year & Rajene & Tara in the front office are AMAZING. I don’t have to wait long for maintenance at all. If I put in a request, it’ll either be done that same day or the next. The neighborhood is quiet, my neighbors are nice. I think this is the best experience I’ve had renting!
Ive lived here for the past two years. Best apartment complex Ive lived in. Craft nights and bingo nights are the best. The residents are fun and friendly. The staff goes beyond and above to take care of any issues that arise. #taraformanager
Prior Resident Review. First Community was the managing agency. This is a very nice community to stay in. The location is great; the office staff is always very attentive; service is exceptional. Always had a solution to any problem I had; problems being very little. Would definitely recommend as a place to reside. :-)
My experience at moss pointe is awesome. I have lived at many apartments and they do nothing for the residents. The staff is great, pleasant and fun to be around. It would be awesome if Tara would get the managers position. She is awesome. ## Tara for manager...
Moss Pointe Apartments!By far the best apartments in Savannah, GA!The residents are always receiving compliment cards & the leasing office staff is amazing. The complex is quiet & well maintained. The pool is a definite plus! The apartments are spacious with a very clean and modern look. The bathrooms are just like the bedrooms, huge! The closets are a very generous size & I love the outside porch area. Moss Pointe allows your four legged family members as well! I highly recommend these apartments! Definitely give them 5 stars! Best kept secret in Savannah as far as apartments go!
I truly appreciate Holly and Tara for helping my daughter find a place in Georgia. We are out of state and knowing she will have those two girls in the office made our decision that much easier.
I lived here for a little under a year, and I never had any issues. The one bedroom is a perfect size. Its cozy and comfortable. Maintenance has always responded to my requests, even came and picked up a waterbug for me when I was hysterical. The leasing office staff, especially Holly and Tara, are nothing short of amazing. They will work with you and your situation, they are polite and most of all, they try. I hate I had to break my lease, but if I ever had to move back to Savannah, this would be my number one pick. Thank you all so much for your willingness to help me, your kindness and your hospitality.
We love the updated pool and clubhouse area, which include a covered grills for entertaining! The gym, dog park and clean laundry facilities have been great! All of the neighbors we’ve met are lovely as well. The management is extremely friendly and punctual if a problem occurs. Security is always around so safety isn’t a concern. Very convenient location!
First Communities Cares! New Management! We are glad you have chosen a First Communities Apartment Community as your new home. First Communities prides itself on customer service and wants to go the extra mile to make your living experience with us as carefree as possible. We hope you love the new Grilling Station at the Pool and the Amazing Dog Park!
I love living here! I fell in love with the model when I first took a tour and applied the same day. My apartment was clean and freshly painted! This was my first apartment and the staff really set the tone for me! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful.. I recommend Moss Pointe to any students moving to the area!
Very nice apartment complex with kind staff. Tara especially is a very down to earth and friendly person to work with. I would highly recommend this complex for students looking for a safe and affordable place to live.
Great people!! They Always have fun events going on for the residents!! They are dog friendly!!
Ive been living here for a little over a year now, and I know I made the right choice to move in. The main office is always super helpful, and they constantly interact with the moss pointe community by hosting little events!
Moss Pointe has been a great experience for me the ladies in the office are super helpful towards any of my questions and needs maintenance always fixes things I highly recommend ppl 2 move here !
Great place to live with very helpful and understanding staff. The customer service and maintenence are exceptional. This place is perfect for Scad students looking for a safe and clean place to call home without high prices and a far commute.
Moss pointe has truly been a great experience For me and all of my needs thumbs up to you guys and welcoming aboard the new face to team Rajene she was so great with me on the phone when I needed help maintenance request and was so patient with me
Not a bad place to live as far as the appearance of the actual apartments go. A bit pricey for what they are especially when they up the rent on you each year. There’s also no storage in them. There’s two baby sized closets in the bedroom and that’s it. The problems really aren’t with the place itself though. It’s the management. Quick to hit everyone with any fine they can but don’t do anything to make the place better. Want to take your trash out? Hope you feel like going to the opposite end of the complex as there’s only one dumpster. Don’t sit your trash outside your door for a short period of time unless you want to pay the $50 fine for it. Want to do your laundry? Roll the dice because you’ll probably end up with completely soaked clothes (or the washer still filled with water) when your washer is done. Not to mention the laundry room is always trashed. Want to use the pool? Have at it but have fun getting kicked out by the police because it’s 8:00. Doesn’t matter if its still daylight outside and 90 degrees, get your stuff and go home. Oh you were grilling food? Too bad, leave. It’s always a great sight watching families with their kids getting escorted out of the pool area by the police. Want to use the gas fire pit they have in the pool area at night? You can’t, so too bad. Better enjoy that fire while it’s 12 noon and 97 degrees outside. Want to bring your dog to the dog park? Make sure they’ve taken their flea meds because there are fleas in the dog park, poop everywhere, and it hardly gets maintained. Place could be one of the better places to live around this area if management made the effort to make it better.
I know its my responsibility as a dog owner to watch my dog at all times and the one time I look away for 5 minutes I didnt notice he did his business just that quickly. Instead of the maintenance guy (who was watching the entire time) notifying me or warning me he runs straight to the office and I get hit with a fine in less than a hour.. I follow the rules to the best of my ability and pay my rent on time ever since Ive been here and now this happens. Money doesnt grow on trees, everybody aint got it. On top of that a number of things have become progressively worse since my 3 years of being here. The ceiling leaks over 5 gallons a day in the bathroom and they’ve came to “fix it” 5 times and just finally gave up on it. Most of the washer and dryer amenities do not work and you will not find out until after they take your money. Be careful renting from here. 10/10 would not recommend it.
First apartment my husband and I got together. We started at the smallest 1/1, had a child and upgraded to a bigger 1/1, and lived with some roommates for a while in a 3/2. Everytime we needed to make a change in any apartment at any time, the staff - and especially the property manager, Holly - were always very kind and helpful. I always felt terrible anytime I needed to go to then cause they had a lot on their plates - they were always planning events or trying to help someone else out - and I was always told, No, its okay, were here for you.Theyre constantly doing things for their residents, whether it be socials for small businesses. I still Follow them on FaceBook and they celebrated Resident Appreciation Week all week long with different fun things in September! They delivered gifts with packages that hadnt been picked up before closing the office for Christmas break; I would make cookies or cupcakes for holidays and our first Christmas there, made them gift baskets and they were always incredibly grateful.Maintenance was always stellar and amazing. Mr Jimmy - who I believed is head of another property now - and his wife were always super kind and helpful to residents, even outside of regular maintenance. The rest of the maintenance crew I knew I dont believe are there anymore, but were always awesome. Would get work done in a timely manner and talk with you, get to know you. I was even friendly with a few neighbours, one whose children used to play with my daughter.Ive never had a better living experience anywhere. Out of any of the states Ive lived in and different properties. Under different management companies, we unfortunately couldnt afford to stay there when our last least was up in Feb/March 2018 and Im not exaggerating when I say I cried. I get sad now when I miss Moss Pointe where we are today and when we drive past it.Were hopeful that in April 2020, we can move out of where we ended up and praying that out of our options, Moss Pointe can be a viable one again. It will depend on my husbands work location and payr at the time, but I told him I want to go home.
One of the best places Ive lived in Savannah. Great management and informative staff, quality maintenance, close access to all parts of our area. I definitely recommend to friends and newcomers.
I love my home! And for where it is located, and the price with updates,is amazing! And the staff is A+,Which is really important, went to view other apartments in the same area, and I hate to say, they dont compare to Moss Pointe, overallI would give this place I call home 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cons:1.Thin walls- you can hear neighbors next door talking and playing music all the time. I’ve reported my neighbors plenty of times, but nothing was done about it.2. You can hear the traffic from Abercorn and the Security alarm from Ford-ANNOYING3. The drain in our tub never worked, even though the maintenance man attempted to fix it.4. ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES ..... EVERYWHERE. We basically lived with them ..PROS-1. Very nice staff !2. Close to Everything such as Walmart, Oglethorpe Mall, Fast food, Grocery stores.
Love these apartments. Theyve been beautifully renovated recently. The community is safe and close to everything...both malls, historic district, SCAD, Armstrong, HAAF. Additionally, Moss Pointes staff and management team is top-notch! Always polite, helpful and accommodating.
Outdated very poor security. Thin windows are thin. Tenants are noisy. You can hear the tv two apartments down. You have tenants that let their animal use the bathroom any and everywhere and they dont clean it up.The trash area smells. Trash is constantly left on the outside of the compactor. They leave furniture and old mattresses out. Apartment is drafty and you can hear the traffic from abercorn. Very poorly insulated. Spiders are plentiful.
Best apartments in savannah hands down!
Changed my review because my experiences have changed. Glad to be a part of this community
The new renovations are very nice. The staff members are extremely helpful especially Ashanti.
Cozy apartment, nice amenities, & friendly staff. Parking is HORRIFIC. Only downside of this apartment.
The front office staff are rude and truly dont care about the people living in their apartments the maintenance sucks as well we were told our entire apartment almost caught on fire because they didn’t do the electrical work to the breaker box right what so ever it smelt like a dead animal anytime you would turn a switch on because of the wires burning all they truly care about is getting your money and will fine you on anything just to get it accidentally overpaid on rent one month but someone how the staff has no clue where that extra money went because it surly didn’t go towards my account I recommend finding any other apartment and there are plenty of them right beside this one in town oh and for internet according to xfinity you can’t get the best internet you can get here because when they “updated” the apartments they left the 10 year old internet cables in the walls and refuses to upgrade them
The windows and buildings are outdated for what they are charging. The only plus is the clubhouse but I I dnt live there. .My apt is on Abercorn st. side and throughout the night I find myself waking up to cars racing down the street because the windows and walls are so thin. yu can hear everything including the music coming from across the street, From the car dealership that plays all night. when someone is passing by your living room yu can hear them as well. Due to the the apt being set up like a motel .There has been a wet spot. On the roof of my ceiling since hurricane irma no one has come to fix it . (pictures below )oh yeah and the spiders are everywhere find myself killing the spiders from all sizes But, we pay for pest control . Separately from the rent. yu can smell the cigarettes frm outside your living room if some one is on the balcony .
There is always an issue with the washer and dryer!!! I moved in at the beginning of April and from now until then the laundry room is horrible. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Each time it’s a complaint it seems like it gets worse! Please be advised!!!
These apartments are dirty an they have a group of kids in the neighborhood who are breaking into cars everyday an the office could careless, the only thing they tell you is “it’s not our responsibility what happens to your personal belongings” you also can’t even have a chair in front of your porch for over 24hr without them putting a lease violation on your door, so if you want your car constantly getting broken into an if you constantly want the office harassing you an leaving notices on your door and handing you fees left an right then this is the spot for you
Nice apartments
Shame.
