We called McDevitt to get a 2nd opinion when our downstairs Heat/AC unit needed replacing. Chris came out to evaluate our systems and confirmed that we needed a new unit downstairs, offering a price significantly below the quote from our previous provider. Nate and Rico installed the new unit and gave us further information on our upstairs unit which saved us from making an expensive repair. All 3 were extremely professional and polite. We couldn’t be happier with McDevitt!

Richard is quite rude and speaks to others as though they are beneath him. I understand that being on-call can be tiresome, etc. but he chose this career path, not me. Treat customers with respect and if you don’t like the job, resign!

Worst install I’ve ever seen. A brand new unit looks like it’s 10 years old. They messed up and are trying to charge me for their mistakes. Definitely do not recommend.

McDevitt installed a whole house dehumidifier (Nate and Rigo did the install) They did a great job. They were very polite, performed the job in the time frame estimated, explained everything that was done as well as how to operate and maintain the dehumidifier. I highly recommend McDevitt and Nate and Rigo.

Nate and Rigo showed up on time and completed the installation of a whole house air filter and virus cleaning global Plasma Solution cleaning system. They retrofitted to our existing HVAC system. The work was preformed professionally in a little over an hours time. Nate gave us the specific operation of the system and changing the filter. He also answered a few questions my wife had with capabilities of the unit. Overall a great experience.

The techs called me before 9am to let me know that they were on their way.They had to replace two indoor coils located in an upstairs tiny attic, plus both outside compressors.All the work was performed in a very professional and courteous manner. Any questions I had were answered by Nate, the lead tech. Both went about their work quietly and efficiently.Overall, Im very pleased with my interactions with the McDevitt technicians and Id highly recommend the company to any of my neighbors.

Nate and Rigo did a VERY good job with the HVAC removal and replacement. Both of these gentlemen were highly competent, professional and hard-working. Nate communicated effectively when needed throughout the project. Very impressed with both technicians! The only hiccups I recall was we requested a white rather than black thermostat. McDevitt is in the process of replacing the thermostat.

Your comfort shouldn’t be limited to regular business hours. That is a quote from McDevitt. It is 89 degrees in my home . 81 hours before they would give me an appointment . No 24-hour service available on July 10-11,12,13, 2020. I have done business with this company for decades. I have had some trouble over the years but nothing like this. I spent $33,000 with them in the last 2 years. I called them Friday night Saturday a.m. 2:50 in the morning for their 24-hour service. I kept calling and calling and finally the answering service got in touch with the technician who said that he wasnt coming out tonight that he would see me at 8 in the morning I said that was unacceptable but it did not do me any good . I never spoke to a technician . No one called me back until Saturday and that was the salesperson no one came to my home. The salesman had me turn on and off the electricity and the thermostat . The sales person said that they would be there first thing Monday with a part that he thought that the system needed. This is the same part that they replaced a year ago after they put the system in. $15,000 system. That is two inverter boards and Ive only had the system for 2 years. I did not hear anything on Monday morning so at 10 a.m. on Monday morning I called the office they informed me that they did not know anything about it. I asked when someone could come out and they said they could see me on Tuesday at noon thats 81 hours from the first time I called. I said I didnt think that was fair because I had called before and for them to talk to the salesman or the no good after-hours guy that never called me back. They said theyre not doing business with me anymore. I called carrier and of course carrier cannot do anything. But Carrier did inform me that that was not normal to have two inverters replaced within two years and that it may not be installed properly. I called another company to come out and look at it they said that it is not installed properly and water from condensation from ductwork is causing water to stand under my house. They redid the ductwork three times on the installation of this job and they did charge me all three times and it looks like Ill be paying a fourth time to fix the duct work again. I am now waiting to hear what will happen with this and will update.

Ive had my share of being shafted by AC professionals in the past, and this is not one of them. These people will get your AC fixed, quickly, efficiently, courteously, and most importantly for a good price to boot.

I have now done three total system replacements with McDevitt and they will continue to be my go to on my homes when it comes to HVAC. Very professional, good communication and a fair price. I find that they always make good recommendations without being pushy. At our last house there was a recall on one part of the furnace. They took the initiative to reach out to us and schedule the appointment to replace the part in question. That to me was a sign of a well run company with folks that take pride in what they do.

Once we had made a decision on how to proceed, the installation team was equally professional. My wife works from home, in addition to our family having multiple pets, so the install team had to be conscious of noise & animals potentially sneaking out. Pleased to report they accomplished both missions in addition to installing our system properly. Were very pleased with the service & the performance of the units installed. Truth of the matter...I would never recommend these people ever to anyone again. They replaced our upstairs unit. Less than 16 hours later we had water coming thru our ceiling. They had contractors finally come to redo what they messed up and to repair the ceiling. While having another unit serviced, another company found that that the same unit was about to run over at the condensate catch pan. Afterfinally getting McDevitt Air on the phone, they sent someone out again. A day later, we call cause no one calls us. Now its the waiting game. This makes no damn sense when you factor in the price of the so called new unit. Pretty much want to tell them to come back and get it. This just makes absolutely no damn sense. Rest assured, it wont happen to us again. Stay away from shady businesses. I know I will.

So appreciative of the very prompt,professional and courteous service that I recieved from Easter and Rick. Our AC malfunctioned during the worst heatwave that I can recall. Rick made the process painless, prompt and transparent on a hot Friday afternoon. We are cold and comfortable tonight. Thank you so much👍.
