At the beginning of this year (2021) I decided to work off the Covid-19lbs and signed up for Row House. Im not super into hardcore exercise and only really do yoga, so this was a big leap for me. I was surprised how quickly my body adapted and honestly how much I loved it. The music is fantastic (coach Piper, my favorite, often drops in a Bananarama tune just for me), the staff are fabulous, it feels super friendly, but not in a culty Santa Monica kind of way! Ha! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I love my mornings with Colman and Jenny and my afternoons with Piper. They all leave me feeling so strong and inspired. I was never one for going to gyms or workout classes but when Row House opened on the way to work I thought why not and am so happy I did. There is a great variety of classes and the instructors are fun so the time flies by. Row House is such a welcoming and friendly place too!
I have a membership for the Santa Monica location and I absolutely love it!!! The coaches are incredible - so energetic and motivational, plus their playlists always help kick me into high gear. I personally love coach Alexa the most as she’s just phenomenal with her energy and her humor, but I also have enjoyed all coaches I’ve taken classes with. Aside that, the app is so convenient to book classes, track my progress and track my class performance. Their studio is equipped with all the equipment and supplies you may need and I love the personal touch in their restrooms (feminine hygiene products, lotion, wipes, and more).
Row House is AWESOME! It’s a great workout, it’s fun, and the coaches are helpful by making sure I have good form and modifying the moves for me since I am still recovering from a broken leg last year. They stay in touch about promotions which save me money as well fun themed events like the pirate shipwreck row. Also, the place is super clean and they have an app which makes booking super easy. Trust! It’s worth it!!!
Row House Santa Monica has transformed me externally - and internally too! AMAZING instructors - I love them all. Fantastic music and energy!! I didn’t like exercise at all before Row House and now I need it. Totally addicted to something so good. Thank you!! 😊 💪
Not once have I felt displeased with any workout experience at rowhouse. The coaches really push us to our best. they encourage us all the time to know and feel our capacity and limits, really pushing us to strive and do our best workout. All staff from front desk, cleanup crew and coaches are always super positive. During workouts they include great positive messages and sends great vibes overall! I’m happy to be a part of this unique rowing gym. It has been an addicting habit twice sometimes three times a week, to be around them for my workouts.
Row House is the absolute best. The coaches are so good at motivating you and put so much thought into the workouts and the music. Everyone is friendly and the workout space is clean and well air-conditioned.
Rowing is hands down one of the most effective full body workouts out there! I started going to Row House when they opened in 2020 and it has completely transformed my body. I love Pipers classes because shes a fireball of energy and passion, and makes a challenging 45 minute workout go by so fast. The entire coaching crew there is phenomenal but I cant always make certain times in the day, but the studio does offer a wide variety of class types from early morning to evening. I would highly recommend to anyone regardless of your fitness level!
I joined Rowhouse earlier this year and have been enjoying it. I had previously done Barrys for several years, got into marathon running and ran two, and decided I wanted something that was a bit easier on my body.I generally go 3-4 times a week now, and its a normal part of my weekly routine. The coaching team is phenomenal, and you cant go wrong with any of them. I do want to give a special shout out to Coach Piper and Savage, who I go to the most. Theyre both extremely high energy, and I find that I generally row my best with them. Coach Alexa and Ashley are newer, and have been great additions as well. I dont get a chance to go to Coach Colemans class as much due to scheduling conflicts, but know that hes a former rower and a lot of people try to get into his class. Ryan on the front desk is also great, and was a former college rower.Youll find a great community, stellar coaches and management who is experimenting with new formats to meet the needs of rowers of all experience levels!
I absolutely love Row House SaMo! I had never tried rowing before but my first class (and everyone after) has been fantastic! Piper is the best! I love her classes. She has the best energy, keeps it fun while making sure we get a great work out and she always has time for any questions about form or how to position the machine. I’m so happy I tried it because I’m obsessed!
This is an amazing studio with a dynamic coaching staff! The synergy here is outstanding. I began to workout slowly and decided to try rowing. I was a little reserved (rowing with pros). However, I decided to take a Full Row class with Piper. She is energetic, funny and seems to keep the energy high. I fell in love with the crew. Piper’s kindness, energy, and mad-goofy skills made me want to come back. So if you’ve been questioning if this is for you.. it is. Low impact, all inclusive, warm community with a great coach! Pi-per! Pi-per! Pi-per!
I started at RowHouse a few months ago after recovering from herniated disk surgery. My PT thought it was a good place to start getting cardio back into my life. I love it.The workouts are addictive. And theres a coach to suit everyone.Piper is my favorite. She took the time to get me acquainted with the erg and correct rowing posture. She knows I sometimes need to adjust the floor workout parts and shes super accommodating around that. And she has so much energy to keep you motivated through a class.As for covid protocols - the place is clean, wipes are provided to clean down your equipment before and after use, and everyone is masked.All the staff are super friendly.Highly recommend.
Cant say enough about how good RowHouse Santa Monica is. The vibe and energy is welcome and inspiring and has helped me and many others move towards our goals. Classes are fun, welcoming and accessible. Ive seen all types and all ages in the classes and it seems that everyone enjoys it equally. Its not an easy job to curate the level of talent I see in the instructors and this human element makes RowHouse (in my opinion) better and more effective than any other class workout format Ive tried! They have generous welcome packages and once you try it out, you will most likely stay! ;)
I was very happy to be introduced to rowing at Row House in Santa Monica.So at Row house in Santa Monica they offer classes that are spectacular - same principle of a Spinning class but instead of a stationary bike you have a rowing machine .I’ve tried spinning classes before and it was not for me but after my first class at RowHouse I got hook on it . 👍🏻At the RowHouse the instructors are very kind and very helpful in teaching us in how to “row” ..Some classes uses some light weights during the classes which help you in achieving a leaner body .I am very happy w my classes and highly recommend them.CheersFabio
This is the absolute best way to get in shape and get hype! Coach Piper is always fired up and has helped me reach new heights! Coach Coleman and Coach Savage have also kicked my 40-year-old a** all year long. This place has the best energy, coaches, and staff you could ask for. Beyond being an awesome environment, these workouts will challenge you and cut you up--- so you are looking and feeling your best! This is a 1000% times better than just going to the gym without a plan or going for a run. You will see results, track your stats in app and it might also help the things you cant see. I saw my cholesterol significantly drop after about 6-8 months of regular rowing. You might row yourself to a better body and a longer life!
Had a great time getting motivated here. Felt very welcome my first experience. Instructor very helpful in physically demistronating the rowing. Had fun!
RowHouse Santa Monica is AWESOME!. Whether youve rowed before or not doesnt matter. They keep it interesting and challenging with lots of variety in the workouts and playlists, the staff bring loads of energy every time and are always ready to help and to motivate. Plus they have this cool app that tracks progress and helps you manage your workouts.
Until someone comes up with a way to get an intense workout while sleeping, I cant think of a better way to stay fit than classes at Row House Santa Monica. In addition to full-on rowing sessions, Piper and the rest of the coaches do an outstanding job, driving the pace and keeping everyone motivated through challenging/rewarding classes that combine serious cardio (rowing) and strength (floor work, weights). The entire Row House crew is very friendly and supportive!

This studio has been an amazing find! I needed to get back in shape after quarantine life. Piper is my favorite Instructor. I already feel a big difference coming twice a week for a month. Everyone is very friendly. The owners are very nice and helpful. I love the workouts. They are low impact and high cardio perfect for getting in shape while I have a strained heel injury.Thank you Piper for all the classes your teach. Great music and full of encouraging energy. I like the signature classes that mix floor weights with rowing.

Row house is such an awesome studio! All of the staffs here are super friendly and helpful! I usually take Piper and she is a super great instructor! Piper’s energy is unmatchable & that’s what keeps me going for the entire workout! Piper, you ROCK girl!!!

Had my 1st class with Piper, Full Row. She was amazing, so full of energy and kicked our butt. Provided positive feedback and instruction. A great Row House Coach! Her playlist was fantastic and she even showed off some of her dance moves. Highly recommend. #rowwithpiper :)

Row House is a great full body workout, with variety from class to class. The trainers are upbeat and motivating. I had never rowed consistently before this and they get you up to speed quickly. The owners have been really supportive and responsive. Highly recommend!

If you like spin classes, Row House Santa Monica will take your workout routine to a whole new level. If you like running, this is a great low impact alternative while still being able to log your weekly miles. I started going to Row House Santa Monica a few months ago and was instantly hooked. The staff is friendly, and they take the time to teach you the correct rowing form so you maximize your workout and keep improving your split time! Coach Caitlyn has the best music playlist that get you in the zone and keep you pumped up all class long! I highly recommend taking her class… you will not regret it!

Anyone looking to get into shape and give their immune system a great boost all the while having fun, should try rowing with Row House Santa Monica! I highly recommend taking instructor, Caitlyns class - shes super motivating with great playlists thats always being updated. Also, did I mention that rowing is a full body work out? Its incredible.
I have been taking classes at Row House since they started outside. I cannot give enough kudos to the owners, Jen, Adam and Amanda. They have really adapted to the new norm of outdoor fitness. They are constantly enhancing the experience for the members. Now they added full length canopies to block the sun and flooring (fake grass :) ).I have been mixing up the classes so I can try the new coaches. Today was with Coleman. He was FUN! I dont usually laugh during class and today I was. Great energy and very interactive with the members. Kendra is another newbie and was awesome. She was very energetic and great motivation. Loved her class. Also big shout out to Jenny Savage who is a fav of mine. She keeps me on my toes (actually off my toes and on my heels) in class. I highly recommend trying these coaches.Thanks to the Row House team

It’s was great to start with but when I had to cancel my monthly membership because I pulled my back out, they never cancelled it and kept charging the monthly charge plus they charged me 100 to cancel the monthly membership which they do t tell you .... I don’t know any place that charges 100 to cancel a monthly . This came from the billing office, which the one girl was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I had to change my credit card, and they keep sending me harassing emails . Row house seems like a great vibe, the teachers were great, but the company is total rip off! I will be reporting to BBB to report the unethical business practices they have.

Definitely add rowhouse to your workout routine! Caitlyn is one of my favorite couches — her playlists are always catchy and align well with your rowing. She is a great motivator and brings high energy to each class making it fun and sweaty😅.

I saw Row House’s ad on Instagram in early October 2020 as they were holding outdoor workouts. My first class was with Caitlyn, and I was hooked! She had great music and high energy, which led me to sign up for unlimited membership. I was even lucky enough to attend her Taylor Swift vs Ariana Grande themed row!As tough as working out can be, I’m always excited for my classes. Now, I’m up to 4 days a week and am getting better each day! Shout out to Caitlyn for starting it all!!
Row House has done a great job adapting their classes to this current environment. All classes are outdoors and masks are required. Same great classes with safety precautions to match the times.
Wonderful new fitness addition to Santa Monica. This is geared to all those who want a good workout. Everyone has great energy and attitude. They will give you as much or as little instruction as you need and try to push you to meet your fitness goals. Worth a shot.
We joined prior to the opening and have really loved the work outs. The trainers and staff are great and very personable/friendly! We love having a great work out within walking distance, especially offering so many times and options daily!
