I have consistently been met with the worst customer service of my life at this apartment building. The staff is extremely disorganized — they didn’t even know my move in date or how much to charge me when I came to pick up my keys — and has been absurdly inattentive ever since. Every request I’ve made has been returned with absolute silence. I requested to move to an underground parking spot and got zero response to my email. Went in person to ask, and the woman working told me she would look into it, but three weeks later there has been zero follow up.These are month long rentals that are supposed to come fully furnished with everything a short term tenant would need. Except they are grossly lacking. I asked for a vacuum or cleaning supplies because my apartment was dirty and was met with anger from the man working up front and told they don’t have any, despite having an onsite cleaning crew, but I am unable to schedule them to clean my unit. They have a grill for residents, but not grilling equipment. My unit doesn’t even have a spatula in it! They have an online web portal for payments, but the website has been down the entire time I’ve resided here. Time and time again, the amenities they provide come up highly short of what they advertise. Finally, they pulled a line of credit against me for the unit. Not pulled my credit score — which is completely normal for a rental — they opened up a revolving line of credit in my name without authorization. For $5500/month, I would not recommend living here. You can find much better locations just as close to the beach.
The Citrus Suites team has been exceptional throughout my entire move-in process. In particular, Baltazar and Isa have exceeded my customer service expectations and made my transition seamless into my new apartment. The building is well managed and maintained and I am utilizing the common areas like the pool and business center. This place truly has a sense of community and already feels like home (have lived here one week). Would highly recommend to anyone moving to Santa Monica.
425 Broadway in Santa Monica is an amazing place to call home. The staff and community is very professional and tends to all of your needs/requests. I have loved living here and would continue to reside in this complex if I didnt have to move to another state for family reasons. Melissa and her team are the best, and I will miss them dearly!
Perfect location, charming complex, excellent management. For a month, or by the year, Citrus Suites is a wonderful experience. The friendly and efficient management team ensure a stress free stay, the facilities are well maintained and theres even a green initiative. We really enjoy the outdoor spaces - barbecue area, roof top patio, pool. So convenient, too - across the street from the beach, Santa Monica pier, Main Street and so many great restaurants! Thanks for a great stay, Archstone Citrus Suites!
We spent a month in the Citrus Suites. For some of the time several relatives stayed with us. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed his or her stay. The apartment was nice, the kitchen and washing machine quite convenient. We had a roomy balcony with some ocean view. We used the pool regularly, and when feeling sufficiently guilty about things back home were able to use internet. Access to the beach is excellent and restaurants and stores close by. We surely hope to be able to stay again soon.
Excellent location, great service and attention. Love this place....have been living there on and off for 2 yeas ....love it
Living at 425 Broadway has been such a lovely experience. Absolutely the best complex in all of Santa Monica... gated safe parking, prime location, rooftop pool, gym, laundry IN your apartment, and the list goes on! However, the best part about living at 425 is the staff. Mark has always been SO helpful from day one in helping me pick out the best apartment, to then just day to day questions I might have. Baltazar, Casey, and Mark are always so welcoming and accommodating which truly completes the package and overall awesome living experience. Just renewed my lease and couldnt be happier. Thanks 425 Broadway team! (Photo taken outside my balcony)
This is a perfect vacation rental - close to the ocean, peaceful vibes and with all the amenities. My family (4 people) visited from India for 1 month and we had a great time making this our home during that timeframe. The manager on-site is very helpful, communicative and attentive to detail. Her management style made this a positive experience. and we enjoyed the partial ocean view from our balconies. We had a great time out here and i highly recommend it!
This place is THE BEST and Im only moving because my girlfriend is forcing me to. Every single person on staff is a dream come true, from Baltazar in leasing, to Tony in maintenance, to the manager Melissa. Ill mainly miss the convenience and simplicity of everything. The apartment is in the middle of downtown, yet my outward facing unit was peaceful and quiet. Theres even a new Amazon HUB so you can retrieve your packages 24/7. Theres no doubt that I would move back here, should I ever return to the area because the management team make the usual annoyances of renting a stress free experience. Highly recommended.
Full disclosure, I am not a resident of the property. I toured the property in May 2018 because of a work relocation. Given the poor communication of other properties in the area, I want to highlight the amazing customer service offered by 425 Broadway. Veronica and Melissa always promptly responded to all questions I had. When I toured the property, Veronica was very kind and patient with my group. The staff was easily the best I saw in my short-time in the area. If good property management is important to you, or youve had bad experiences with management, I recommend giving 425 Broadway a chance.
Ive been living at 425 Broadway, Santa Monica for 7 months now. My overall residential living experience has been fantastic! Aaron, Mark, Baltazar, and Casey are all very professional and pleasant. The location is perfect for City Living. and the environment is safe @ 425 Broadway, Santa Monica, and is Smoke Free
Honestly the worst experience. BEWARE!!! I put in the application with full intent to sign. They took $600 to hold the apartment. I couldnt get out of my old lease and move into 425 Broadway, They basically STOLE my $600.They wouldnt give it back. Complete thieves! Joel Shannon is hands down the WORST customer service manager Ive met.
Great place too be, lovely apartment worth every penny. I stayed for 2 weeks and my experience was great. Its close to the beach and the city. Would reccomend for families.
425 Broadway is incredible. The minute I arrived here I felt instantly home, safe, and accommodated. Veronica and Baltazar are the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people I have ever met, and knowing I have them at the front desk is so comforting. Baltazar has helped with absolutely everything he can, and really has gone out of his way in ways he did not need to to make me feel situated and comfortable. This building is so clean and in literally the best location- right off the 10 and 4 blocks from the ocean. However, the people, the staff, is what makes 425 so great.
AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! Just steps away from the beach, safe, clean and comfortable! Close to Main Street, Third Street Promenade, Pier and Venice! The Management is great, and all staff very friendly and accommodating!
On arriving back at Citrus Suites for the third time, and being greeted by Julia, it just felt like we were returning home. Everything in the apartment was presented beautifully. It is also good to see the same friendly staff.
The staff/management at Citrus Suites is courteous and very helpful/attentive to ones needs. The location could not be better: within walking distance of delightful eating establishments and cafes, the hustle and bustle of the vibrant Third Street Promenade, and only 1 minute away from the sandy beach and bike trail (!)The fully furnished sun-filled apartment I had the pleasure of residing in was very clean, well equipped with basic appliances, linens, towels, internet. The (shared) business center, pool, grill, beach cruisers, and rooftop deck offered the additional convenience of relaxation and productivity on the premises. With utilities and maid service included and parking available, I had absolutely nothing to worry about and could focus entirely on my hectic work schedule without feeling the stress of having to adjust to new living quarters. Highly recommend 1915 Ocean Way in Santa Monica!
This is our 3rd year at the Citrus Archstone. We would not go anyplace elseThe location is the best. I wake up every morning and walk my dog Sadie watching the surfers in the ocean. Now that our townhouse has been renovated, as all the suites have been, it is perfectWe leave Chicago our home, and find our second home at Citrus during the winter monthsJulia who is the manager is a friend to all. When we had to attend a funeral, Julia offered to keep our Dog Sadie on her day off so we wouldnt have to worry about her. That is the kindness at CitrusStarting in September every year we start thinking and yearning for Citrus and Santa MonicaWe are lucky to be able to stay here every winter and hope we can for many years to come
I cannot say enough about this property! All of the managers (Julia, Sarah and Melissa) are attentive, kind and knowledgeable. The property itself is very well cared for and immaculately kept. In terms of location it doesnt get any better. Right on the beach an easy walk to Santa Monica Pier. It is incredibly safe and very reasonable to comparable options. I have been working as a consultant in Los Angeles for nearly a year and it has been a perfect home away from home. If you are sensitive to noise I would recommend a unit not facing the beautiful Hotel Casa del Mar that is right across the street. Keep in mind these are apartment units so you do hear your neighbors however management has gone above and beyond to accommodate my requests for a particularly quiet unit. My only regret is that I didnt find this property sooner!
I have lived here for 3.5 years and I absolutely love it. The building feels like a vacation resort in Spain with the palm trees inside. I love the pool and the roof top sun deck. The location cannot be beat. I can walk to all the shops and restaurant in the area and I am right across from the beach. They also have bikes for us to rent for the day. I dont drive so I rely on public transportation. The big blue bus on Pico Blvd. takes me pretty much where ever I need to go. Its a small community and everyone is very friendly.
We love it here! The location is perfect and the people are wonderful. Baltazar and Veronica have been so kind and helpful and have made us feel like we are home. Tony and Misael are quick and just the nicest people!
Great place to live. long or short term. everything near by. infront of beautiful beach. incase if you moving in make sure you check the TV. in this 2018 this certain units still use decade old cheap TV which dont have any app you to watch Netflix, youtube or anything. dont plan to use Apple TV or chrome cast as these TVs NOT HD!!!! yes this is 2018 :) but only certain units. so check that before you move in. so I am rating 4 as i am staying 2 months without TV :(
It has been about 6 months and I love living at 425 Broadway.I looked at so many apartments in Santa Monica and must say 425 Broadway had the best balance of everything I was looking for: Location, new or recently renovated, open floor plan, in-unit washer and dryer, hardwood-style floors, parking garage, etc. The list goes on! I love the cute courtyard and curb appeal, and the rooftop pool/hot tub is an added perk. I am a quick stroll away from everything I want, whether it be the delicious iced mint mojitos at Philz, the shops on the Promenade, or brunch at some of my favorite Santa Monica spots (Sonoma Wine Garden, Blue Daisy, Flower Child…). Everything is so close and convenient. The main reason I felt compelled to write this post is to commend the leasing office. One word: WOW. In every single interaction I have had with them, they have truly gone above and beyond. Balthazar, in particular, is amazing. He has the best attitude and could not be friendlier or more helpful. I don’t think I have ever seen him without a smile. I don’t want to bore all of you with details, but there have been numerous instances where I have been beyond impressed, during the leasing/apartment hunting process, the move-in process, or even any day-to-day questions or favors that may come up. The level of service is honestly unparalleled. Maintenance is also extremely prompt. Every time I have had a request, it has been completed the same day.The only thing that could be better about the apartment would be more closet space, but everything else about the building is so wonderful that I was able to let that slide. Luckily the bathroom is a good size and allows you to put in a shelf for linens and/or some drawers for extra storage. All of the neighbors I have met so far have been great and very friendly as well. I have not had any issues whatsoever and recommend 425 Broadway to anyone looking to move to Santa Monica.
Our move in experience was well communicated and pleasant - all due to the attentive and professional staff at Citrus Suites!
Its good
I have been staying in the Citrus apartments Santa Monica for 6 weeks now. We have rented a furnoshed 1 bedroom apartment. We are extremely happy with the cleanliness, service from the ladies that come and make up our room once a week and leave it spotless to the ladies at the reception Julia and her colleague (Im soo sorry i forgot her name). They have been very helpful since we got here. The location is amazing, so close to the beach.I highly recommend it!SydneyAus
Terrible. The apartment doesnt worth the money. TV is old, furniture is old. They are huge cockroaches and I have just been infested with bedbugs. They sent me to a nearby cheap hotel and didnt even apologize. Terrible, dont go to this place. The only good thing is the location.
Reasonably priced
Great place
