I really appreciate this salon. All organic and very comforting atmosphere. I did the smoothing treatment along with hair color. Almost a month later my hair is still less frizzy and smooth. I have naturally curly hair (which I love!!) but wanted to relax the curl for a change and am really pleased with the results. My curls are still there but have calmed down and I absolutely love the color!! My hair feels healthy and not fried from harsh chemicals!! As a woman that hasnt done anything dramatic to my hair in over ten years they really put me at ease and I had a lovely time being there! Thank you so much Ali!(I posted an after and before below)

Going to Lotus Beauty is a very nurturing experience. I really appreciate that it is an organic salon. I also have found Jacqueline Antonius to be a very gifted stylist. I have very fine, straight hair that most stylists have not found much to do with. Jacqueline found a natural wave in it and cut the hair to take advantage of that. She also really listened to me when I explained what I needed as far as convenience and regular care, and she gave me a flattering, easy to maintain cut that I have truly enjoyed.

Ali did an amazing job on my hair. Def worth the 2 hour drive! Friendly staff and gorgeous shop. Its a family business which is adorable and they are organic! Damage free color! Adding color on my next visit. I highly recommend Lotus Beauty.

Went to this place for a haircut 2 years ago and been meaning to leave a review. The owner and not her daughter was my stylist. After talking to her, decided on a trim since I have long hair. Her daughter washed my hair+did a very quick and careless head massage. Altogether I spent about 30 min at their salon and got charged with tax almost $100. I felt horrible and cheated on afterwards, hence leaving this review 2 years later. Need a haircut now and I’m not going back there!!

I had a horrible experience here. First of all, the owner was talking non stop about herself and her family and how rich, famous, wonderful and gracious they are. I brought my own magazine but it was impossible to read for 1 minute, she is completely obsessed with herself. It seems as if she was always better, stronger, fastest than anything you would say or introduce about yourself.I made an appointment for washing and drying (duh!) and by the time she was finishing me another customer arrived (very rude, BTW) rushing the hairdresser, and the latter asked me if I really wanted my hair to be dried. I told her that of course I wanted my hair dried since I reserved some time for that. The worst part was the cut: I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER TO DO A MODEST, LOW MAINTENANCE CUT. I arrived with a gorgeous long, a bit dry on the tips hair. Well, she was so obsessed with herself that I doubt she listened. She cut my hair on cheap, old-fashion sloppy layers, I went for a cut cause I have dry hair, and now I have it dryer cause I have to iron it cause otherwise I look like a f****** poodle, I swear in God that I did a better job all these years with my kitchen scissors. That was 100 dollars plus tip. NEVER AGAIN.

I live in Colorado, not Santa Fe, but desperately needed to get my hair done while visiting family in the area. I absolutely LOVED this salon. The women there were wonderful and very personable, and did exactly what I had asked for in a reasonable amount of time. The salon was beautiful and comfortable, and the use of all organic products, including dye, made my hair feel amazing afterwards. I spent what I would have in Colorado with my regular stylist, but my hair feels so much better than when I get it done using harsh dyes. I highly recommend this salon, and will be going back as much as I can while visiting family.

NEVER GO TO LOTUS! I paid $280 for a cut and color and yet I received about 5 inches too short in the hair cut and no change in my original color. The owners daughter did my hair and when I spoke with the owner asking for a refund, she was rude, pushy and would not listen to me. She refused to give me a full refund, she refused to listen, and I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business. I will never go back and I warn others to stay far away unless you want to feel bad about your appearance for several months afterwards.

This is a really unique and high quality experience. Lotus Beauty Organic Hair Sslon is an amazing and beautiful space and the odor free environment along with the top notch organic color and product lines is on a par with anything you will find in the country.Now they even have a Pilates studio run by a highly trained, certified instructor with 13 years of teaching experience. It is a focused and quiet studio that really pays attention to detail and personal, individualized instruction that is custom tailored to your abilities or limitations.This place was awesome and they take care of your insides and your outside under the same roof. It is where core values meet core strength. I would recommend this place unhesitatingly.

I have had both of the mother/ daughter team here cut my hair. I loved both haircuts! They are great listeners and actually gave me what I want.

I love this place. The owner Jacqueline gives great cuts and its a relief to get color that has NO ODOR and looks wonderful. The location is convenient from much of town, including the plaza. Theres a lot of laughter in this salon. Check it out.

The worst haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life!!! The place is beautiful and I loved how everything was natural but I spent $100+ to get the most horrible experience ever. All I wanted was a V cut and she chopped my hair up. There was no V. The right side of my hair was cut above my R shoulder I couldn’t even put it to the back because there was no length, the left side of my hair was longer than my shoulder, to my bra strap and the middle of my hair was down to my back, where my pants were. Will never ever go back. I’ve never had my hair cut that bad, it so so sad.

The worst haircut Ive had in years. I was out of state for a few years where I was getting a fabulous haircut. I moved back here and went to Lotus. What a disaster! Uneven length and layering on each side. What a disappointment!I upgraded my review from (1) star to (3) stars because the Salon did give me my money back. I went to another hair stylist who was able to even out the haircut.

Had a terrible experience with this salon — did the hair smoothing treatment, which made my hair smell like rotting flesh when wet (and a little when dry), for about two weeks. It did not take away the frizz, just made my hair flat and lifeless, but not straight as they claimed it would. When I complained, they said that I had not followed their post-care instructions (not true), and refused to refund me or offer any kind of fix. I’m pretty sure the treatment was applied incorrectly. I am not very picky about my hair, but I felt I had to post a review as this is the worst hair experience I’ve ever had.

DO NOT GO TO LOTUS. Horrible customer service. Worst treatment and mean spirited attitude from the staff. I will not return or give any business. When I inquired about a mani/pedi the owner was extremely rude. Stay away from this place. 0 stars.

The lady that did my mani pedi was very nice. The place itself is crazy dirty. Hair everywhere, dusty, and stuff on the walls. Overpriced, I wouldn’t return.

As a man I am always nervous when I have to switch stylists, but having moved here recently, I did some research and found a salon that promised a chemical and odor free environment, especially since I am on immune suppressant medications. I also needed to know that the person in whos hands I was going to place my hair had a great eduactioin (which she does, having been trained at Vidal Sassoon in California over 30 years ago). Her range of experience and obvious artistic vision and talent made me choose to give it a try.Suffice to say, it was better than I could have dreamed and I have already made my regular appointments with Jacqueline. I did note, however, that she works in close collaboration with her lovely daughter Ali, who is also California trained, and has been under the artful and watchful eye of her mother Jacqueline for around two years now. If Jacqueline were to be out of town when I was in need, I would trust Ali to take care of me, having seen her in action too.I highly recommend this salon and it will be me go to place.P.S. I come from a big city and really appreciate the professionalism and obvious talent here.
