Had a great vehicle from Budget. Price was a little high but I was able to get a discount when I booked all my events on another site.One suggestion is to stop trying to sell additional items when we check in. We had this option when we booked our vehicle and just wanted to get out of the airport and start our vacation.

We had superior service from start to finish. Making the reservation with Anna was quick and easy. She told us exactly what to do when we got to the airport and we did it and it was smooth as silk. The lady at check-in was lots of fun & very knowledgeable and clear about the car. We loved the car! I was pleasantly surprised to have Bluetooth to help us with navigation and of course our own music. Check out was just as perfect as check in. Anna and Andy were delightful . We will always book with them when we fly in. They are the best!

I had a 10 day rental scheduled and had an emergency after 2 days and had to return home. I picked up the car on Thursday afternoon and returned on Sunday Morning. I was told NO REFUND FOR UNUSED DAYS!

Process was quick. Car was exactly what was stated on line. Car was also clean and reliable. Only issue I had was with the after hour drop off. There was not enough spots for Budget cars. I had to park in a Hertz spot. Other than that experience was excellent

I thought these cars were supposed to undergo a lengthy inspection. I flew into Florida to be with my grandmother as she was dying. I was exhausted and ready to make the 2 hour drive home. Who would even think to check the tires? That is your job! To ensure people that are paying for a service are SAFE! I made the drive home and the day before I was set to return my cousin pulled in the driveway behind the vehicle. He came in and informed me that the tires were EXTREMELY bald. My uncle went out and looked. They were both very upset. I then checked the tires and there is almost zero tread on the back tires. Ridiculous! There is NO excuse for that. I could have been seriously injured. I tried to call and was on hold for a very long time. Sitting on the phone is not what I wanted to do as my family and myself were grieving and emotional. So, I informed the attendant when I dropped the vehicle off and she informed me to call corporate. Which, I will do. For a refund. No credit. I want my money back. Never again.

The vehicle was great. Check in and return quick and efficient. On the last day of the trip the transmission went out in reverse. We were able to take the vehicle to the nearest Budget and trade it for another vehicle to get to our flight on time. The roadside assist was helpful in making this happen. Kia at the Budget in Walmart at St. Augustine Florida was amazing and so very helpful.

Radio didnt work, console screen cracked I think that caused some electrical problems. Said their was a low tire even though all tires looked fine. Only has 3/4 tank of fuel when I got car. Also girl at desk misled us into thinking we needed to pay $59.95 for the tolls saying its $5.95 plus tolls every time you go on a toll road which I found out later when I got home that I can call sunpass and pay the tolls charged to the plate # plus a one time $2.50 charge I figured my total charge would of been under $20. When I returned car at 3:45 PM nobody was there I just left the keys.

I Rented a full size SUV only to find out they were completely out of them when I arrived to pick up my vehicle. I was offered a Hyundai Santa Fe instead and was told that it had a third row which it did not. I was also not offered any discount or perks for thr error on Budgets end. Luckily we still had enough seating for our family but the extra room would have been nice for our 7 day vacation. This was not a great first impression. I will say that the car was clean and in good shape and the staff was friendly which is why Im still giving 3 stars.

Professional Quality with Customer service, not there .Did not have answers to my Questions available. Quoted Price on rental car,. When returned, Price was not what I was quoted when I took the rental out .it was over $400 00 more. My rental car was not inspected upon return. Customer service representative was not Professional. Could not or would not answer my legit questions. I had to rent a car due to My Younger Brother unexpected Death here in Florida..will not rent a car from Budget car ever again due to the Very Negative Experience from Customer service & Major Price increase upon return of clean car..

My original rental was through Expedia, only to have it booked at a completely different airport. When I called to change airports, I was told that the rental would cost $70.00 more. I did not have a problem with that being it had to be the correct airport or it would not help me. Only to have it cost $150.00 more at Budget the day I picked it up.

We had a pretty prejudice experience when picking up our premium SUV rental from Budget in Sanford Fl. The lady did not want to give the other agent the keys to the premium SUV to give to me. They kept trying to get me to settle for a smaller Midsize or large SUV instead of what I reserved. The other people in line in front me got the vehicle they wanted with no problem. The guy directly in front of me changed his vehicle 2 times and when I came back in to inform them of the vehicles condition, he was getting a different vehicle. They moved forward to give us one that was stained, dirty and definitely not sanitized or vacuumed properly. I went back and forth with them so I took pictures. My wife and I ended up cleaning the vehicle and sanitizing it. My wife and I are convinced that we received such poor treatment because of our race and we did not deserve that or the rudeness from the 2 agents that tried to put us in the worst vehicle they had.

Most amazing car rental experience- and I travel a lot. Ive never used Budget before but got a great deal. They gave me an upgrade and when I needed to extend the rental and change the drop-off location I was able to do it through online chat and charged a very reasonable rate. Alamo made me come in and switch vehicles and charged prevailing rates, so Im impressed with Budget!!

Absolutely worst experience of my life . Took 2 days for anyone to speak with. Car we rented shakes like crazy and creeped 10 mins to location to settle. They will not switch our car out nor help unless I pay extra on top of the 600 I paid in the first place. I will be pursuing legal action.

Rented a Jeep Wrangler a couple months in advance. Paid in full in advance. About a month later I checked on the rental and I was being told that I owed more money that I had modified the rental when I had not. I called to speak to a representative and they couldnt be of much help. Inhad to email in the receipt for my original agreement. After back and forth emails I was told that they would honor the original agreement. When I got to the counter I was still charged the extra money. It was however taken off my credit card a few days later. They did not have a Jeep Wrangler available but did have a Jeep Gladiator which was fine. This vehicle was very dirty and smelled inside. All the windows were so dirty you can barely see out of them especially at night.

This is the most rude and unhelpful budget car rental place I have ever had the displeasure to deal with and I rent cars all the time but I will never rent from them again. Especially the guy who spoke to me just now needs to learn how to speak to customers. They couldnt answer any questions regarding my rental, I asked like are you not able to look this stuff up. I mean you guys rented me the car all the info is in the system, he had no clue or interest in helping me. Then I was basically hung up on because he had customers in line, and I told him that I am also a customer trying to fix my reservation so why am I less important. I have never been treated so rudely or dismissed like that. I will be making sure that all my family that flys here or is looking for a car to rent does not rent from here. The other Budget which is in Sanford off of 1792 is 10x better than this one. And the only reason I clicked one star is it wont let me leave it blank because they deserve nothing.

My flight got canceled with no other departures for 4 days. I went straight to the Budget Rent a Car office and was on the road immediately. I cannot speak highly enough of the clerk at the counter! She was very friendly, got me an affordable one-way rental, the car she got me was super high quality, and she didnt try to take advantage of my situation like some places would try to do. One of the best experiences I have had with renting a car in the midst of an otherwise stressful situation.

I am from Florida originally but now live in the upper Midwest. Usually when we visit, we fly in to the Sanford International Airport on the north side of Orlando and rent a vehicle through the Budget location there. Every single time, its been a breeze from reserving online, to pick up/drop off, and the car is always ready when we arrive. Budget is my go-to for rental cars!

This was the worse rental experience I have ever had. The condition of the car was not acceptable. Seats and floor stained, exterior paint dirty with bird droppings, car had an off odor. I rented a Standard Convertible for 4 days for a total cost of $431.55, this car was not worth renting for $200.00. The tires looked awful, along with the paint and interior; obvious damage to the vehicle. And the rep didnt even walk outside to look at it with me when I checked in. Said, well if you buy the full coverage insurance you have nothing to worry about. So, I paid an additional $60 for this POS. I have pictures, and will be posting on Google my review. Not a good experience for a weekend at the beach.

We flew in on Super Bowl night and there were no Uber or Lyft cars available. So, we had to resort to renting a car. We were afraid the price would be outrageous since we didnt have a reservation. The walk-up rate was very reasonable and the lady working the desk was very pleasant. Most people working with customers are not real easy to deal with, but this lady was very personable and made the transaction very smooth. I highly recommend Budget at the airport.

Update to my review:My rental was due back at Sanford 7:00 PM. I returned the truck at 6:05 PM. I parked it in a designated parking spot. I recorded the mileage as their signage directed. I took the keys to the Budget desk and tried to give the attendant Rochelle the mileage information. She declined saying they would get the info when they check it in. I told her about the expired License and proceeded to my flight. I was boarded on my flight at 7:20 PM. Yet I was later charged $63 for an extra day rental. Seems that Rochelle did not check in the vehicle when I returned it. The vehicle was not checked in till 11:13 PM with 263 less miles than it had when I returned it. At 11:13 PM I was unwinding at my residence in Indiana. After a phone call my $63 was refunded three days later.Original review:This is the second time I have rented from Budget at this location. This is the second time they did not have car comparable to what I reserved. This time instead of the sports car I reserved, I was rented a truck. I still have the scrape marks on the back of my left calf from when my foot slipped off the step while trying to exit the vehicle. To top it all off, I was stopped by a Sheriffs Deputy so he could inform me the license plate on the vehicle expired in September. This was pretty much the worst rental experience I have ever had. I even tops the GMC Terrain they gave me last time with the tires that went flat.

Easy booking, car was clean. Travel plans had changed and I had to flight from different airport. So I called twice to get my drop off changed, Since BUDGET is a Nationwide company you will think this will not be a issue. Customer service rep was asking for additional $300 to change drop of location. Well drop off location is 25 miles from Sanford, FL airport to MCO, FL airport. I think you should be more flexible in customer service experience. Definitely not recommending BUDGET to friend or colleague.

Prepaid in FULL for a Mustang rental only to arrive and find out our reservation was changed to a Jetta: citing some excuse that yes I did pay in full with my CC but I designated my souse as the identified driver and so the Mustang was changed. Really Budget? That’s the reason AND no adjustment in charge whatsoever???? To add to the experience, we got to the Jetta in the lot to find that the vehicle had scratches and dings ALL OVER the vehicle. Fearful of driving something in this condition off without any mention of its condition and getting charged for damage we had nothing to do with, we went back into the counter to once again wait behind a huge line of people to determine a resolution. Again no offer to adjust the price for the downgraded car or anything. Not asking for special treatment but I feel like if I pay for a steak and they run out and give me a hot dog instead that’s perfectly fine but it seems reasonable that if I’m getting a hot dog,I pay the price of a hot dog not the steak I didn’t receive.

I used Costco travel for a 30day rental. Got the car on the 7th at 5:11pm when I had booked it for 6pm. I was told after I signed everything that I had to bring it back at 5:11pm or get billed an hourly fee. Nice upgrade to a compact SUV. Return Sunday night around 5:35 b/c I had to get gas and missed my 5:11pm deadline. I get no receipt and then see I was charged $170. When speaking with customer service they say I was charged an extra day and a late fee. The lady at the counter said shed take care of it and I just gave her the keys. At the very least I should be charged the hourly fee for being 20 mins late BUT $60 for the whole thing will make me NEVER rent from Budget again. They could be $30 cheaper and they, along with their affiliates will not get my business.

And put a additional hold on my account for the full amout again which cut into my vacation money by 500 dollars. Seems that they do that to alot of customers that fly into the sanford airport. This is not professional and very malicious. Also the small suv was nothing more than a awd car. I am in the car business and we do not classify a mitsubishi outlander as a suv.

They didnt have the car I prepaid for, so they gave me a jeep instead. It was perfect weather for the two days I was in florida to be driving a jeep with the top down! Thank you again!

The only thing I didnt like was told that tolls are everywhere and we should get toll package we o ly used tolls to get to hotel.didnt like the fact that coming from out of town a local person could of shown us how to avoid tolls and we could of saved money since used 1x and got lost in that process to use it. Crappiest rental car experience I ever had. They expect you to return a perfect car, yet they can’t even provide one. Our car was a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. First, there were scratches all over it, license plate dented and bent, the car had not been washed and was covered in bugs, the windows were covered in streaks so much to the point they were hard to see out of at night, the interior had scratches every where and had no been wiped down, the floor mats were not even in the vehicle, the wind shield wipers barley worked and only streaked rain. Now; like I said it’s a 2020, this thing ran like it was from the early 2020s, the engine was loud, made noises that were no normal, you could hear whistling from a break in the door seal, and the road noise was awful. I don’t know who you have hired to take care of these vehicles but get rid of them! I want my money back!!

When I got to the counter I was told that I couldnt have the sportscar I rented. I went to the Hertz counter to rent one. The Budget employee then told me she had my sportscar. I had done the fast checkout and prepaid on line, but it still took almost an hour to get in my car. The computer would not accept the code even though I had prepaid using the code supplied by the system.

I was quoted a price from Priceline when I reserved the car. They asked me at the counter if I wanted to add extra insurance or a toll package to which I responded No. They charged my account an extra $76 and when I called to see why they said the charges would fall off of my account when I returned the car and I would be charged the $168.33 I was quoted online. After returning my car I was still charged $76 more than I should have been and they claimed its because I said Yes to their insurance which I definitely did Not. I am extremely disgusted by the way this was handled.

When I went to the airport to return our vehicle, the after hour drop box was locked. I had to put the keys in another rental box and hope that the company seen this. I prepaid for my vehicle online so I am not sure why my credit was ran? I was never told my credit would be checked until I arrived to pick the vehicle up . I also was never told of a $250 fee thank goodness I had that extra money. If I was told this, I wouldnt have been mad. The vehicle had scratches on it when I got it so I took pictures making sure I wouldnt be charged it

Overall the time of day was medium busy when we got in line. The reservation that was paid for in advance wasnt showing up in the system. We used our email receipt as proof. Attendees told us that our car was for the other Orlando international Airport, even though we picked SFB by its airport code. Told me it was $50 additional to take our car. Asked for a deposit for damages for smoking. Upon entering the car it had scratches and dent and smelled horrible of cigarettes. I returned and waited in line to get another car but was told she would take record of this but never entered anything into the computer while I was there. Very disappointing start to this first time experience with Budget. Who would want over charged. Second point was returning the car which was a drop off lot. The lot was full at 8:45am for budget and the lot tech refused any other spot for us to park. I was forced to park back in the original lot then had to drop the keys in the overnight box because no one was there to check the car in. Im very concerned about being charged for even more fees. The car itself was nearly new but already needed a tune up. With the AC on it wouldnt take off without nearly stalling. I put gas additives which fixed the issue. Budget seems like a good choice but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth

Terrible!! They don’t disclose charges up front and the lady at the front desk acted bored when I picked up the car. She was sitting at the lobby. When I returned the car no one was at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes thinking she may have gone on break and no one returned. I dropped off the keys at the drop off box and I got charged an additional $200 dollars which Included a late fee, additional day for car coverage and additional day. Worst service ever! Save your money!

I called Budget corporate and they had to scrambled to get me a vehicle. I had to drive an additional hour to Sanford to pick up a vehicle. When I called to make the reservation, I asked for a Mustang and was told it would be available. When I get to the airport to pick-up the car, the guy was not only 10 minutes late but the Mustang was not available. He said all he had available was a Charger but that it was at a higher rate. I would think that as a courtesy to not having available what I was told was going to be available to me, that he would have offered it to me at no extra charge. He said all he had available was a truck, mini van or compact suv. How does vehicles come anywhere near close of what I had chosen being told it was available? I hope that Budget doesnt use a baiting tactic to get you to rent from them and then tell you that they dont have the car you wanted and to rent whatever they have available. Very bad experience.

We waited for 45 minutes along with several others because the desk ran out of printer paper and could not pull up contracts. They were waiting for someone to deliver the paper to the desk. Poor planning. Once we signed the contract we continued to wait for the car, was told they were behind in their sanitizing efforts. The girl from the desk left the desk for approx 15 minutes to assist in cleaning and returned with our car. Not a good morning for the one and only person at the desk. Im guessing this whole ordeal affected approx. 6-8 of your customers.

When I arrived to pick up the car the lady working was very friendly but in no way professional. She explained in detail all of the reasons that I could be charged extra but was absolutely no help with necessary information. She handed me the keys and paperwork and said your car is out there and pointed out the door. When ask where to return the car she said just on the other side of the lot... like she was bothered by the questions.It was getting dark so I did a quick walk around the car and then got in and put my backpack in the passenger seat.When I left the lot and got onto the road I could not see out the window once the lights from oncoming traffic hit the windshield... I had to pull over and use a t-shirt to try to wipe whatever it was on the inside of the window off. I spent a good 5 minutes scrubbing and was successful enough to clear a big enough section so that I could see and safely drive.When I arrived at the hotel I grabbed my bag and went inside. The next morning when it was light outside I could see that the inside of the car was absolutely filthy and grimey. The passenger seat had 2 burn marks in it, on the side toward the console so they could not be seen from the drivers side. The seats (including the back seats) were covered in light stains. The floors looked like only the mats had been vacuumed and under the seats looked like they had never been vacuumed.All hard surfaces were covered in a film of something... it wasnt sticky but you could see wipe marks like the film may have been left by some kind of cleaner and then dust/dirt/lint had stuck to the film.I tried to clean the rest of the inside of the windshield and ended up having to use my fingernails through the cloth to scratch/clean whatever it was off and still did not get all of it off.I tried to call Budget and when someone finally answered the phone I couldnt hear or understand anything he said because of the background noise on his end.The second time I tried to call it sounded like someone answered and immediately hung up and the call was disconnected.I was not wasting my vacation time cleaning their car or trying to contact them.When I got there to return the car I called ahead and ask if a manager was there to speak with, the lady on the phone said that she was the manager and would be there. When I walked inside there was no one at the desk. After waiting several minutes a lady from one of the other car rental companies offered to help if I needed to drop the keys off.I had read some of the reviews during the week when trying to find a number to that location directly and I was not dropping the keys in the drop box and being charged extra.When the lady finally came in she was also friendly but very unprofessional. I gave her the keys and explained the situation with the condition of the car. She said it must have been something that they used to clean it with. I will not be charged for the condition of the car when I literally only drove it to my destination and back, while there I rode with family everywhere I went.My advise, if you are flying into Sanford-Orlando Airport, save yourself the hassle and headache and chose one of the other companies.I made sure to take pictures to verify that I had returned it full of fuel and the milage and the spot it was returned to, just incase.

UPON ARRIVAL TO PICK UP MY RENTAL AT SANFORD/ORLANDO AIRPORT THERE WAS NO REPRESENTATIVE AT THE COUNTER. THERE WAS A NOTE THAT STATED SHE STEPPED OUT AND TO CALL HER(AWILDA) FOR ASSISTANCE. WHEN I CALLED SHE SAID SHE WOULD BE OVER RIGHT AWAY. AFTER WAITING TEN MINUTES I CALLED AGAIN AND ASKED IF I COULD GET HELP AND SHE AGAIN SAID SHE WOULD BE OVER. FIVE MINUTES LATER SHE ARRIVED TO THE COUNTER AND DID NOT GREET ME AND LACKED PROFESSIONALISM FROM HER APPEARANCE TO HER ETIQUETTE. THEN THE CAR WAS DIRTY ON THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE.. SHE ALSO RECORDED THE MILEAGE AT 6000 WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY 7000. THIS WAS NOT REPORTED BY ME BECAUSE TIME WAS OF THE ESSENCE AND I HAD A TRIP TO MAKE. PLEASE BE MORE PROMT AND EFFICIENT FOR CUSTOMERS.

The Budget place not at airport(close to Sanford airport) said my cards would not clear. I went to airport Budget and it cleared first time. The lady at Airport was great. The man at off airport had obviously ran out of cars and was screwing with us. Our plan was delayed on Sat. and we got there a few minutes after 1:00. He would not even try to help us out. He said to come back tomorrow with the same reservation number. We did(after paying 130 for a taxi and then a uber to our place). When we got back the next day, he said they implemented a new verification system on credit cards and he could not help me even though I had a reservation. We had to pay to go to the airport and rent a car. The lady at the airport Budget said she had never heard of a new verification system.. He caused us so much stress on the first 2 days of our vaction....

I waited for a car that was supposed to be ready. My payment had been made in advance on Expedia.com but they were unable to find it, and I was later charged almost a $1k more for the rental only to have wait on the phone for almost an hour for an agent before having to hang up to make a meeting. Your organization is a joke. Would give zero stars if possible.

Most of the time Budget is wonderful, but at the Sanford FL Airport, there is NO STAFF available to give uou a rental after 4pm and no staff available to check your car in at drop-off after that time.I will never be renting from this location again!This was a horrible budget experience and the camry that we had, continued to have a message on the screen that the airbags would not deploy!
