Kelly and her team at salon central are awesome! They make the experience very good as they are attentive and experienced with nails. I recommend this as the best nail salon in San Marcos!!

I absolutely hate writing poor reviews.This was my first visit at this location, and I received a gel manicure. I only get my nails done for special occasions, and I’ve never had a painful experience before. This was painful...literally. The gentlemen who did my manicure was very nice and he did a great job, but he cut off quite a bit of the cuticle around my nail on both hands. Only three fingers hurt right not, but it was pretty unpleasant overall. The liquid solutions made my fingers sting, and then he used the file block later on, and didn’t fully keep that block in my nail. Ouch.If I were getting my nails done for my wedding or something along those lines I would be pretty upset with how my fingers look, but I got my nails done for a mini vacation. My fingers hurt, but at the end of the day I can deal with the redness. I’ve never really experienced anything like that before, so that’s why I’m posting.Also, At check out the gentlemen accidentally charged my card $233.00. It was taken care of and refunded, and they were very kind about it.Overall, not the greatest experience.

Got a SNS full set with Lee and absolutely love my nails! Was super time efficient and precise. Would definitely recommend this nail salon!

I came from out of town and stopped here randomly to get a gel manicure before a wedding. I felt I needed to leave a review even though I most likely won’t come back just because I live out of town. The woman knew I was in a hurry and she did my gel manicure in 15 minutes! I’m not even kidding- I wasn’t expecting much since she was working so fast, but my nails are absolutely perfect. This is the best my nails have ever looked!

PROS: I was a walk in client (I called before I came to see if I needed to make an appointment but no one answered) and they were able to seat me right away. The staff there was very friendly and the salon looked nice. My nail tech was also very nice during the service.CONS: The actual service wasnt that great. Though I ordered the basic pedicure it would have still been nice to not feel like the service was rushed. No real soaking, massage was lack luster, and my polish isnt fully opaque. Could have definitely used another coat. Also, the polish is lumpy, like it was an old polish that dried out.TL;DR: Everyone was nice but the outcome leaves something to be desired. Ill probably find a different place next time I want a pedicure.

I went to get fills and shorten my nails and came out looking like I have blocks on my nails! The tech said I couldnt get the color I wanted because of previous nails, then after he completed what looks like a joke he said next time come not to fill but full manicure and it will look better..He could have been professional and a great tech and tell me to just start off brand new. First time ever getting fills and it was the worst experience ever. Paid $43 for something that looks likes a tech in training would do for free, and practice!!! Very disappointed.

This is the worst nail experience I’ve ever had. When I had asked for a simple design the guy helping me got confused on what I wanted then proceeded to do what HE wanted and then when I told him it was not what I asked he completely blamed me and got everyone else in the salon involved. Another guy had to redo them and they charged me extra for a mistake I did not make. I paid $80 for nails I did not ask for and they made me feel like it was my fault. The men who work here are extremely rude and unprofessional. I can’t believe I was charged so much and now I have to go somewhere else to take these $80 nails off that look nothing like I wanted. Your employees made me feel bad and embarrassed me in front of the whole salon. I will never come here again!!!!!

I went in to get dip on my natural nail and within a week, almost half of my set was already chipping off.called told them what’s going on they said they would fix it with no cost . i come in and they’re charging me 26$ to fix six nails. decided just to pay for a whole new set with no questions ask since it seemed they were just going on with what i asked instead of actually going off set prices. won’t be coming back

I went to get manicure and pedicure without any colors and I left with my nails looking terrible, the guy did my manicure his nails are dirty and didnt put any time to do my nails with an attitude.i would never recommend it

My first time at the salon was yesterday and I would have to say overall it is a very nice shop . I went in at about 3pm, was greeted very kindly and seated right away which I thought was nice . They weren’t very busy at all when I arrived, only had one other person in the shop but this quickly changed . I was seated and had my current set removed and then another gentleman came to assist me . He put on the tips and then stepped away and went and sat on a chair and played on his phone for about 15 minutes and just left me sitting there . I felt this was a bit rude and unprofessional but I’m assuming he thought I was waiting for someone else because when he came back he asked me if I was ready or if I still needed to wait . He began on my nails and maybe worked for a total of 30-45 minutes which was absolutely amazing time ! His shaping was flawless and application was great as well ! They weren’t very friendly at the shop, talkative wise, and it did feel a bit tense and uncomfortable because of that but other then this the shop was very good ! I paid $65 +$10 tip which is a bit more than I normally pay for such a basic set however I would say if you’re looking for a good shop in the area I’d recommend them !

Recently transferred to Texas State and I have never loved a nail salon more. I always leave smiling and feeling pretty. Aside from performing a wonderful job on my nails consistently, they have really awesome service with drinks and snack. This is a really great place for college students to go, I would recommend to anyone who gets acrylics.

The variety of colors they have are amazing, I always feel like Im getting a new, exciting color each time. And everyone who works here is so kind and friendly and welcoming. The lavender pedicure was amazing... Kelly did an awesome job. She is very sweet and gentle and made for a very relaxing experience. The massaging chairs a definite bonus. Kay does a great manicure and hand massage. It was an all around relaxing experience... We will be regular customers!!😁 The guys also were very caring and entertained by my fiancees ticklish feet lol😂. The prices seem well worth the service. Peter is an artist with the french tips and nails💅

My nails were not extra extra long and I posted a picture and review on Yelp to prove that you are lying. You were very rude and unprofessional with me! If STEALING $10 dollars from a college student helps you sleep better at night then you do that but you are going to keep losing customers. I’ve been getting color powder full sets for over 5 years and my nails have never cost that much money and for you to consistently lie on the phone and in person is DISGUSTING.I’m going to make sure I tell everyone not to come to your nail shop. Your business lacks integrity, professionalism, and honesty. People deserve the right to get what they pay for and get great customer service. Your business fails to do that.

I would NOT recommend coming to this nail shop. They did my nails well but customer service was very unprofessional. I came in for a color powder full set which is $40 but they charged me an extra $15 for length and $5 for coffin. After reviewing their website I noticed that color powder full set extra long coffin nails are $55 dollars but they charged me $60 and my nails were not even “extra long” so really my nails should have been $50 dollars. They basically stole $10 from me and when I called the nail shop to ask for at least a $5 refund the manager was very rude and hung up the phone.If you are a college student do come to this nail salon! I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for and they overcharged me for a simple full set.

I went to Salon Central for a full set with a picture of the nails Id had done for my wedding by a salon that was my go-to before I moved. They copied the style exactly, and it was perfect! This will be my new go-to nail salon.

My nail tech Li, has been doing my nails for months now and I am so grateful that I found him. He does an AMAZING job, and I mean a great job from start to finish. He is incredible and I refuse to work or go anywhere else. My nails always come out looking tip top shape and I have been to many places in San Marcos, but he is one of a kind. I have referred so many people to him already and they love his work. 110% recommend!!

Not the best experience... I came to this place because of the wonderful reviews, but was very disappointed. I wanted shorter dip nails. The particular person I did my nails with, said she only does long nails, but said she would work on mine. After she told me that, she said she would teach the other staff members how to do short/dip nails as if completing my nails was a burden. I also made an appointment requesting dip nails, and she tried multiple times to convince me to do acrylic nails. The nails looked decent, but there were a few cosmetic issues that I observed. Lastly I was told to sit under the UV light??? One of the reasons why I ask for dip nails, is to avoid the harsh UV light. This place was not what I expected and I was extremely disappointed.I, also forgot to mention that they don’t sanitize or change out towels in between clients. Please think twice before coming here.

They are located across from a whole University and have no student discounts or deals. They over charge for everything, especially longer nails. The pedicure people do a horrible job also, theyre not good at shaping or painting properly.

The pedicure process was good and the lady was considerate when it came to rubbing my foot with hot rocks. The staff was nice and they help me put my sandals. However, they did not cut my toe nails and there were some tiny spots missing on my pedicure. Overall, everything else was good and I would definitely be going back for nail services.

I’ve gotten my nails done by salon central multiple times and they always come out looking amazing. Last time I got my nails done, I wanted to try a new place. Well, they absolutely butchered my and my friends nails. We came running to salon central right before they closed. They stayed open late to fix our nails for us! They are amazing, super nice, and affordable! I can confidently say I won’t be straying from their services until I move from San Marcos

So after getting shellac nails done in new Braunfels and them cracking after two days I came here and got wonderful service and was treated very nice I highly recommend this place. My nails are amazing. It was fairly inexpensive and worth the cost. I got a new set of acrylics for 55$ and my best friend gotA basic manicure for 15$. The nail technician working on me even added the little diamonds for free. I will definitely be coming back... even though I live in north Austin.

The pedicure was going great until the guy wasnt paying attention and cut a chunk off my foot with the foot file. My foot was bleeding and all the owner offered was a bandaid. What she should of offered was a discount.
