Ive been coming to this place when Frank owned it years ago. Unfortunately, the shop closed upon his death, until a new owner purchased the space. Always a friendly place with something like 7 chairs mostly staffed. My issue is that I only need a trim, no buzz trimming up the side of the head, no etching of my hair with a razor. Just a simple trim. Being 66, I expect a senior discount, but forget that discount on Fri-Sun. The tipping point for me now is that a haircut now costs $27.00. I dont require a scissor cut or styling, just a regular haircut. Im now on the lookout for a new Barbershop with reasonable prices. I also get that they were shut down for a long time because of the pandemic, but there is no need to price gouge. BTW, I tip $5 or $6 per cut. I just need a simple hair cut!!! Not styling.

The place was ok, I wish I had a different barber, the one I got a haircut from wasnt listening to any of the things I said, I ended up getting the haircut he wanted to give me not what I told him I wanted, if you looking for the dad look this is the right place for you. I wish I had a haircut from the tattooed barber dude, he seem talented, friendly and was actually listening to what his client was saying.

Going here since 2015. Prices are a bit on the higher side but the barbers are amazing. Especially Kelly and Khan. They are helpful in giving you suggestions about what type of haircut suits the best. Nowadays they accept only Cash which is sort of a bummer but for the quality of the haircut a trip to the nearby safeway is worth.

I came in asking for a simple low fade. I came out looking like I had a butchered high and tight, with a line up that looks like I have a receding hairline now for $25. I read a lot of good reviews about this place before deciding to go. Sadly I didn’t get the same experience. Maybe I just had the worse barber out of the shop, but I would still highly recommended elsewhere.

Go there everytime. Consistent fades. Good customer service. However, i did receive a bad haircut once. I drove back, and the lady there fixed me up. Now I look fresh as heck. I havent tried all the barbers in the shop, but I would say most of them are talented.Go to khan or Tina. They know their stuff

Ive been going to Mission Barbers for 7 yrs now. Im not a young man, and Ive never experienced the level of dedication and professionalism ANYWHERE, EVER. Th last 4 yrs Ive been living in Santa Cruz and I cant even imagine having it done locally. I dont work over that way... But I drive over the hill once a month to get it done right.Snow has been my barber the entire time.Best barber ever. And a sweet human being...

This is the place to go if youre looking for looking for a legendary fade. Ive had my hair cut by all the barbers here and have never been disappointed. The prices are super reasonable and costs the same as about great clips or similar chain hair cut place. These barbers have some serious skill and you will absolutely get a ton of compliments on your cut. Cash only fyi.

I have never got a bad haircut from anyone here. Really good line work. Walk ins only, but definitely worth the wait each time. I recommend coming in on a weekday. Comes out to about $25 for a razor fade and line up.

I have been going to Steve for 20+ years. He is the best barber around. Right when you walk in you are welcomed with a smile and how is your day going. Anyone who comes in is treated like family. Also Steves staff is the best around. See anyone of his barbers and you will not leave disappointed.

Great place for a clean cut, professional staff and each one gives a great cut. The average haircut here takes about 30-40 minutes not including wait times (which can sometimes be an hour) so plan accordingly. They do not take appointments but you can call in and have your name put on the list, which is a plus. All around great place if youre looking for somewhere new.

Uneven, non-symmetrical. Not happy with my hair cut at all.. at first. After washing up, combing next day, its not as bad as I thought. Ive also received a couple compliments on it. Might of been a bit harsh with original review. Decent cut.

We go here nearly all the time. And then sometimes we go else where. And then we go back here!Ive only once had a cut Ive not been happy with, so thats a pretty good hit rate. Try to pick the quiet hours in the week for less waiting and a lower price.

Steve is the man! Ive been getting faded from him and his wife Lena for about 5 years now. There used to be another young barber that was really damn good too but he must be at another shop now. Steve knows how to cut hair. Hes one of those old school barbers thats adapted to changing times and is up to date with all the new trends. Im only giving 4 because Steve and his wife Lena are the only ones Id trust with my hair now. The other barbers are a hit and miss with me, although Ive seen them do pretty good on other people.

Only been one time. I was in and out on my lunch break, without feeling rushed out, Linda took her time and focused on the details, (I have pretty crazy/curly hair) and she did a great job

Ive been here multiple times, at different times of the day (as well as different days of the week) and there was always a long wait. There is a pad of paper to put your name down, but not a good sense of how long the wait will be. The staff has given very low-ball estimates every time I asked. I was once told about 15 minutes over the phone but when I got there just minutes later, it was maybe 45 minutes? I understand they are a business that relies on partly on walk-in clientele, so there is a need to keep prospective customers anchored at the shop, but this is frustrating if you cant get an accurate idea of how long you have to wait or when to come back.

What can I say that other people havent yet? The greatest, most professional barber shop in SJ, they really know how to treat their clientele, my only drawback is their appointment system (walk-ins only...), but thats just like a real, classical barber shop.
