Love these guys. Brought my car in twice and both times they were super communicative, gave very reasonable price quotes which they stuck to, and repairs were done quickly. My car drives like a champ and as an added bonus I got to pet their puppies while I waited.

My experience with Subaru vehicles has not been a good one. As a first time buyer of a Forester, (bought off original owner) I was excited to get an all wheel drive vehicle. I knew about the head gasket failures and had receipts to show they had been fixed 30K ago. Well the head gasket failed and I was contemplating dumping the vehicle due to expensive repairs. I found 5Js Subaru and it was the best thing for my Subaru and myself. Quality work, excellent family run business with exceptional people working there. I spoke with the owner for 10 minutes on the phone and he was completely professional and courteous. Received my Subaru complete with new head gasket and rad/hoses/pulley/tension, etc.. The head gasket on a Subaru is very expensive to have done. 5Js was reasonable and to me it was more about the quality of work that I felt was worth price. I would recommend this auto repair business!Eric.

5 Js auto repair are the last of a dying breed. Honest mechanics are hard to find. Honest and reasonably priced are practically obsolete. 5 Js is all of that and more. I was referred to them by another Subaru specialist because they were too busy to take on my project. I am so grateful I found them. I wont let anyone else touch my car. 5 Js has earned my business for life!

Great place to get tour work done on any subi ... the guys here are very knowledgeable and very fast and efficient with their work. couldnt ask for a better shop especially one so close to home.

Super friendly staff, very honest and knowledgeable guys as well. I have taken my car to 5Js for about 2 years now for huge jobs like an engine rebuild to small jobs like pulley replacements. No matter what the job was, it was done in a very timely manner and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend 5Js if youre looking for a Subaru Specialist.

This shop is the only shop I will take my subaru to for anything. I had my engine replaced a few years ago and it is still running strong. Carlos and Jose are super helpful and are always fair and honest. If you need work done on your Subaru this is the best shop to take it to.

This is by far the best auto repair shop in San Jose! They always tell you the truth and never try to manipulate you in you cars problems. All their workers are very respectful and helpful. I have recommended co workers and every time they are thankful that I told them about 5 Js Auto Repair. I would strongly recommend this auto shop. If I could I would put 6 stars.

Great service, friendly staff. I felt they were fair and honest with the repair of my Tribeca.

I had my 2003 WRX clutch replaced along with rotors and brake pads. Although it may not look so appealing upon arriving, they do know what they are doing. They were very respectful and honest. I will definitely bring back my WRX here for future services.

Picked up a 2005 Saabaru. Linear...2.5 boxer..5 Js did a great job. Head gasket. Radiator and tune up...really loving the car..

These guys know what they are doing. They did a full engine work on my 04 Subaru Forester XT. Brand new STI block, refurbished heads, all vacuum lines and needed seals. They didnt over charge me or asked for parts I didnt need. They are really knowledgeable about subarus and they answered any question I had. They told me about the warranty on parts and labor and its not bad at all. After I picked up my car I had some questions about some other parts and modifications for my car and they are always willing to help you. I highly recommend this shop. I have some other upgrades for my Forester and Ill definitely take it to 5 Js.

5J’s has been my go to spot for basic oil changes to major maintenance on my blobeye wagon as well as mod installs ranging from mild to wild. The sign out front says it all, this is a Subaru specialist shop. It’s uncommon to stop by and not see something cool going on, like full STI swaps, drivetrain and interior on GC generation coupes, engine rebuilds, etc. thanks Carlos and Jose for keeping that Subie rumble going!!
