If you want to have anxiety about waking up at 3 am to a fire alarm this is the place to be.It’s been over 3 years and it’s always the same explanation. No one is ever accountable and continues to always happen.Update (09/22/2021):As always, the fire alarms go off. The fire department shows up and now we have to find another place to stay as they test the fire alarms. They have done this twice before and never paid for any of the costs of finding a place to relocate to and probably this time either!Update (09/23/2021)Find separate accommodations! That is what I was told to handle being forced out of our apartment for 4 days. If you want to spend Bay Area pricing to displace yourself yearly from the comfort of your apartment then stay here! They won’t less us break our lease without paying two months rent so we can enjoyable live somewhere that doesn’t have consistent fire alarms going off and displaced with two weeks notice.

We wanted to find an apartment in a calm neighbourhood. Crescent village apartment homes was one of our primary choices. Candice from the leasing team of Crescent Village Apartment homes was very helpful in arranging for Apartment visits quickly. We were able to find an apartment of choice and moved in. The whole process was extremely well organized. It is indeed a nice place to stay. I would strongly recommend it.

There are many things to like about living in Crescent Village. The team here is among the top reasons. Adrian, Jesse, and Alejandro are always on top of things. They have always been super prompt with repairs, and always humored my questions. The front office staff are also excellent. Violet and Cynthia are standouts, but honestly all of them are easy to work with. The apartments themselves are very well designed and solid quality. Moving around the Bay as we have (6 times and counting) this is the best place we’ve lived in so far.

Crescent Village has been our home for 3 years and the service has been consistently fantastic! As a Tech employee working 100% from home, living here exceeds my expectations. The amenities are modern, outstanding, and exceptionally well maintained. A group of us call our home here the resort, as it feels just like a vacation resort, everyday of the week!As a new Father, it gives me peace of mind to know my wife feels safe here, she loves taking morning walks on the property with our little one. The maintenance team is fantastic! Shout out to Adrian, whos team is warm, friendly and delivers what feels like white glove treatment. They continuously sets a high bar for quality and excellence. Our work orders are resolved in the blink of an eye with zero disruption; and always kind enough to work around our babys sleep schedule. We upgraded our apartment to make room for our newborn; Jesse made the transition smooth and pleasant. During our lease-end walk-through he was kind and made what is typically a daunting experience: a very smooth one. We absolutely love it here!

We lived here for 3.3 years and loved it.Can we get a for the maintenance, cleaning, and RSO staff?CVs maintenance team was always there to lend us a hand & they are all positive, efficient, and kind hearted people. They deserve more positive notes here. Same goes for the cleaning staff :) theyre friendly and I always found the amenities sparkling clean. We always had a positive experience with resident services too & the sales person nailed it by showing us the one apartment we were looking for. Its a bunch of good people being great at what they do.I could keep on listing the positives (even vlogged and blogged about how great our life was there); nevertheless, we have to admit that whatever you read about the unbearable fire alarms are true. Furthermore, peoples concerns about theft + security are also true.Despite this, Id keep on recommending CV (we also had a nice time in Riverview). Personally, Irvine was overall a 5 star experience.

Update: Right now the alarm is screaming in my room again. Before you move in this apartment, please be aware of the frequent false fire alarm issue. I moved in this community several months ago. At that time, I was told that the community was quiet and non-smoking community. However, the alarms were triggered many times within one year. These are not only the alarms from your neighbors but also those in your room, so the whole building was evacuated at the mid night (several times 9 months ago and two times two weeks ago) and even during the day, I had to leave while presenting my work on a important meeting.Every time, the explanation from resident service was always someone smoked in the building; and then sent a team to fix the issue. But this problem remains unsolved. They claimed that it was not their responsibility because they could not monitor the building 24 hours. Its a common thing that alarms are triggered by cooking or other heavy smoking but that those only happens within one room during the day instead of frequently triggering alarms for the whole building. For me, they just dont want to take the responsibility and leave their residents to suffer from it.Those nights were sleepless for my family and really caused us a lot of stress. Also, because of this frequent false fire alarms, residents can hardly treat every alarms as an emergency. If something really happens, we will be in danger. To the apartment, please don’t contact me if you just want to tell me how to avoid triggering the alarm since I’ve already learned that in the kindergarten.

I think Crescent Village is amazing. I lived in Tesoro for 2 years. The community exterior is always in perfect shape, the maintenance team is really awesome. Everything gets fixed right away. The preventive maintenance in the community makes it always look perfect. The apartment architecture inside may not look modern, but everything is always in perfect state. They provide really good amenities. I think nothing compares to Irvine Company. This year I decided to move to a different community to try it out and because I was looking for a bigger apartment that could fit in my budget. This is when I decided to write my review of Crescent Village, after comparing with other communities. Nothing comes even close to their standards.

ANNOYING ANNOYING EXTREMELY LOUD FIRE ALARMS. The fire alarms so very frequently go off they almost blow your head. It just shows how horrible the community is at managing this and are there is absolutely no consideration to people peace. Its almost always a false alarm and the noise levels are INSANE. They go off in the middle of the night and stay in for a good 30 mins. Even if these things are automated, it is the minimum responsibility of the community to investigate and try to mitigate this problem, the fire alarms are way too sensitive and go off even if you happen to toast you bread!!!!!! I regret staying here for this one reason. I wish somebody does something about this.

NEVER rent an apartment here!!! You would suffer from extremely loud false fire alarms at random time at least 10 times a year, including very late at night! I have lived here for 3 years and I have been woken up by false alarms at 2am, 3am, 4am, and 6am respectively, not to mention how many times I have been annoyed by the alarms during the day, which is even more often. DONT trust the landlords apology if they respond to this review. The landlord never actually fixes the problem no matter how many times I complained about it.

14/12/19 Updates: The fire alarm went off at 4am today, and then again, twice between 9pm -10pm. We had to leave the building and stand in the rain . Residential office blamed all the three alarms on people smoking inside. If you have babies or pets, think twice before moving in.-------------------------------------I have lived here for seven months and will be glad to stay for another year. Here are what I find satisfying:1. Resort like environment and facilities. Check out my photos. I live in Tesoro, one of the six apartment complexes in Crescent Village, and the pool and gym on site are very well maintained. All the six apartment complexes have their own pool and share three gyms. If you find the one near you is crowded (it never happened to me though), you can always use another one, as you have access to all the complexes.2. Relatively safe neighborhood in San Jose, compared with where most other rental apartments are located. Dont take my words for it, you can see for yourself on a crime map.3. Super responsive maintenance crew and residential office team. When I submit a maintenance request I always grant access for the technicians to enter without my presence (You certainly can choose not to), and they always show up within 1-2 hours, if not immediately. The residential office staff at Tesoro are also fast with emails and calls, and communicative with whats going on.4. Convenient location. Starbucks and a couple of restaurants on site, 5 min drive to Safeway and more restaurants in Rivermark.During my apartment search, I found Crescent Village had a really bad score on google and yelp, and I almost dropped this place because of it. Every reviewer should speak from their own experience, and here are my own on some of the issues people complained here.1. Pricing: I googled at least eight rental apartments in San Jose and Santa Clara, all in the so called higher end. Before I moved here, I visited three of the eight and lived in one for a year. Everyone agrees rental price in bay area is crazy, but in my opinion the pricing of CV is more or less reasonable within its targeted segment. The good thing is its a huge community with six apartment complexes, all offer slightly different designs, floor plans and amenities, therefore what you get is a wide range of pricing. e.g. Two 2BR units could be priced in $500 difference per month.2. Fire alarm: I have experienced six big fire alarms for the past seven months since moved in, all happened during the day. When people complain about firm alarm here, we are talking about the HARSHEST, LOUDEST, not to deliver the message but to destroy your ears that kind of loud. Its not just in your own apartment. The thousands of detectors in every unit of your apartment complex will scream at the same time. When that happens you have no choice but to get out and stay far away. If I ever encountered a false alarm during sleep, I would definitely give this place zero star if I could. However, it never happened to me in Tesoro, dont know if I got lucky or the system has improved. According to the residential office, the first two big alarms I encountered were due to malfunction and testing. Then there were another four, and the explanation offered each time was awful people smoked in the building. All we know is the alarm system here is really sensitive. Consider almost four hundred households live in the same complex, Id rather be safe than sorry; but I fully understand that for some people with babies or pets this could be unbearable. There must be something the management can do. The entire building should be emptied because one person smoke? Is this a protocol?3. The inside of the apartment buildings (garage and hallway) is not cleaned as frequent as needed.

#Update:A representative reached out to apologize, and confirmed I would be eligible if I happened to join the lease with a new member within the community. I appreciate the timely response and ownership of the mistake. Hope this does not happen again!-----------------Very bad customer service. Crescent does not value current residents at all. I wanted to join a lease with a new member to the community and was told 3 times (once today by someone at the leasing office, the other two times by a representative at the resident services office) that we would definitely be eligible for the special offer for an apartment here, if my co-signer would be a new applicant and if I am no longer be a resident when I sign. But today I was shocked when the very blunt manager at the resident services tells me, that if I get added to the lease as a former resident to Crescent they will rescind the special offer. This is deception and a gross misuse of our trust after telling us the exact opposite earlier. I have stayed here for over two years and I love the community, but this experience has left a very bitter taste and I am forced to look for another community to stay. Please do not trust any commitments they make since they can go back on it (even within the same day!)

Nice property, nice apartments, but poor maintenance and facilities management. The staff here in the leasing office is great and presents a very appealing face to the Community. The resident staff, however, doesnt offer the same experience and leaves much to be desired for the cost of living here. A few examples:- Fire alarms go off frequently in certain buildings, in the middle of the night or multiple times throughout the day. The management doesnt react appropriately to resolve the issue, either with the buildings fire systems or with the offending residents. The same issue occurs repeatedly, with no real solution.- The waste management procedures are lacking, leaving parking garages and hallway corridors wreaking of trash smell. Just what you want to smell when you step out your front door and walk to the elevator.- The package delivery rooms constantly have broken doors, preventing residents from picking up their packages.- The washing machine in our unit leaves white stains all over our clothes. We have reported this multiple times, and they send someone to fix it but the issue is never resolved, and the same thing continues to occur. The experience has degraded in the 3 years weve lived here, as costs are cut and services diminished, yet the cost of rent has continued to go up.

If I could leave no stars I would! Do not choose this place (or any Irvine managed apartments) as your home. Do not be drawn in by the amenities and the nicely manicured grounds. The amenities are apparently not paid for from your rent giving them the right to close them at any time (what a joke - do they provide them for free?!). Also once you live here for a while you’ll notice that they only show you the well kept parts when you have your tour as a prospective lessee; the rest of it is dirty, overgrown and poorly cared for. During the height of Covid lockdown the lift we used was not cleaned for 10 days straight and then following the continued complaints we made they cleaned it every day for one week, it then went back to being once a week! Evidently strictly following Covid state guidelines! The residents services are overwhelmingly under staffed and the people who do work in some of the residents service offices quite honestly couldn’t care less about residents (There are some capable people so if you find one get their name and try to only deal with them). If you ever do want to complain and speak to someone in Management, good luck. All you get is someone in the resident services offices lying about their position and then forgetting that lie the next time you speak with them! All in all it’s dreadful and we can’t wait to leave in a few months! Also read the reviews on the struggles people seem to have when leaving and the amount of deposit kept back for normal wear and tear! Seriously, educate yourself by reading the reviews before you commit to a lease here.

Do Not live in this community. I and my family are suffering with frequent fire alarms. In my three months in Verona community, the fire alarms blew up thrice in the night when everyone typically would be in deep sleep - 12:00 am, 1:00 am and 4:00 am ...on three different occasions. Couple weeks ago they tested fire alarms on a Monday for 8 hours during work hours and on Tuesday for 4 hours. I was hopefully that after the torturous 12 hours of testing period, there will not be any more issues. We had one today again during the day. There is zero empathy for the residents to plan fire alarm testing during week days and I have never seen fire alarms blowing for 12 hours to fix the issue. Life here is miserable and I pity all my neighbors. I am planning to move out of this horrific place....do think hard if you want to sign a lease here because lease breaking would require two months of your rent with one month of notice.

The apartment management team did not want to inform neighbours so they do not panic.Noise, noise and noise day and night. You can basically wake up at 2AM or 3AM for either party or fighting that shaking the whole building. If you are working from home like me, it will be impossible to have a call. You will hear all bad language you can ever imagine. I had to mute myself and cancel many meetings until the fight is over which never happen. I called the management team and I saw them standing away as they were scared to enter and check from the noise they hear.If it’s not safe and you can not sleep at night or work in the morning, you will basically lose your job. Please, do yourselves a favor and DO NOT LIVE AT VERONA OR ANYWHERE IN CRESCENT VILLAGE. The fire alarms continue to randomly go off - even in the middle of the night! My girlfriend and I woke up SCREAMING in the middle of the night last night after the fire alarms went off across the ENTIRE BUILDING at 3:30 am. Was there anything burning in our unit? Or in any unit near ours? Nope - Veronas fire alarms are just set to go off across the entire building if someone elses fire alarms go off. Fun! Right?Even better - when we saw the reviews about fire alarms in other (non Verona) Crescent Village buildings, we asked our leasing agent - who we believe lied to us about the fire alarms at Verona - saying, its only a problem with another building, and rarely, if ever at Verona. Well guess what? every week or so the fire alarms in the unit go off randomly during the day while cooking - even while there is no smoke in the unit. And, weve experienced the alarms going off IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT about once every 5 weeks now....imagine knowing this will happen regularly? Yep, kind of a nightmare! The units are nice, with quality appliances and amenities, but I promise you that nothing is worth the feeling of knowing you may be woken up in the middle of a deep sleep by the screeching noise of a fire alarm in your ears. Mine are still ringing. And, in hindsight, we could not have made a worse decision in terms of choosing where to live, and choosing Verona at Crescent Village.Happy apartment hunting!

As my partner and I were looking for a place in San Jose, we have spoken with many different complexes and leasing agents. Fallon A. at Crescent Village went above and beyond considering our particular needs/wants and trying to find the right unit within our budget. She was quick and consistent to reply- there wasnt the frustrating drop off in communication we experienced with other leasing agents. If youre looking for a new place in San Jose, I highly recommend connecting with Fallon to see what she can do! When I toured the property, I was greeted by the leasing staff with a warm, cheerful demeanor. Being cared for by the employees during a pandemic makes this place that much sweeter. As I toured the property, everything was super clean and you can tell the property was taking COVID seriously. They even have self-cleaning elevator buttons, which I didnt see at any other property. If youre planning to move to San Jose, you should, at the very least, schedule a tour at Crescent. The place sold itself pretty quickly.

We have lived in Crescent village for 5.5 years, and have mostly enjoyed our time here. However, there is one glaring issue which ruins the entire experience... the fire alarms going off in the middle of the night.Around 6 times per year, the building-wide fire alarm will go off between the hours of midnight to 5AM. If the fire alarm was only in the hallway, that would be one thing, but every bedroom is equipped with a skull piercingly loud fire alarm box. It is so loud that, when the alarm stops 15 minutes later, you cant go back to sleep because your adrenaline is pumping from how loud the noise was.So 6 times it goes off in the middle of the night... and probably another dozen or so times it randomly goes off in the middle of the day for non testing reasons. I have worked from home since before the pandemic began, and believe me when I say it is extremely difficult to work with the fire alarm blaring all around you for hours at a time. This is also a legitimate safety concern - nobody in our buildings leave when a fire alarm goes off anymore. Because it has not once been an actual fire, people just sit in their living rooms with earplugs in until the fire alarm stops going off. It is the ultimate fire alarm that cried wolf scenario - nobody will believe there is actually a fire if one actually occurs. There are good things about living in Crescent Village. They respond quickly to maintenance requests, and the maintenance staff are wonderful people. The pool/gym/grills were nice to use (before the pandemic). The buildings were well constructed, and the build quality is high. But before you move here, ask yourself this: do you want an airhorn to go off right next to your ear in the middle of the night 6 times per year? You have no idea when it will happen either. You could have the most important meeting of your life the next day, but the fire alarms dont care. You wont get any compensation for the horrible experience either. Not even a day or two of rent comped for the terrible quality of living the fire alarms provide. They just give you a reason as to why the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and assume that it absolves them of all blame. They could swap out the airhorns they call fire alarms with something quieter, but they wont do that either. We have tried to get them to do anything about it for years with no luck. Our only option left is to move.

Sometimes, its just too much, and we call resident services. When were lucky, this eventually results in downstairs neighbor emerging with a pressure washer to wash the accumulated filth off the balcony into the bushes and irrigation system below.Sympathetic hand-wringing followed by... nothing. Very bad experience with the leasing agents, as they are not friendly and also very rude and boast as the best apartment in the entire Bay Area, even though most of the apartments are not upgraded.Just one suggestion is to have friendly customer facing agents to help our new residents who are interested in moving in.But the current agents I interacted was rude and did not help me even understand the apartment features and amenities well. So I did not pursue it further as if agents are not even helpful with leasing they won’t be helping you with issues when you actually move in. So better to stay away even though it’s in prime location, I would recommend to go with apartments managed by greystar like 121 Tasman as the agents are very helpful which can make your move easier.

Weve been living at crescent for coming up on a year. Crescent has been great! Theres multiple buildings people live in and it creates such a great community. Half of our living here has been during Covid so we didnt have access to some of the amenities for several months, but the staff navigated things as smooth as they could. The main purpose of this review is because of a transfer we just completed. We moved from the Mirada building to the Cadiz building to go from a one bedroom into a two bedroom.Throughout the process I was able to work pretty closely with Courtney Hyde and Im grateful for all her work here. She went above and beyond to make the process smooth. We are still finishing up the post move inspection and such, but I anticipate it to go well. Shes answered all my questions (and trust me there were a lot!) and provides me with very useful information. I could tell she genuinely cared about the experience being a good one. Its because of people like Courtney they make me comfortable and confident staying at Crescent. Its very much top notch service!Other things to note:The floor plans are super spaciousThe community environment is greatAt the Mirada the maintenance team was SUPER on top of it - we shall see with Cadiz :)The pools are great

Dont rent here if you have pets or kids. Its irresponsible. The fire alarm went off 8 times in 11 months. Kids and pets get terrified. Management says its someone smoking and throws their hands up in the air. My neighbors in Tesoro say its even more frequent there (Im in Cadiz).Resident Services doesnt pick up the phone when you call, doesnt return calls or responds to emails. You have to take time out of your day to go there personally and badger them into doing their job.Package delivery is schizophrenic. Your delivery can be in the mail room, the big mail box in the garage or at your door. It can also be at a neighbors door because sometimes delivery people just give up and leave it anywhere or just go away with your food. They cant call you because theres no cell phone signal here either. Also, fire alarms. Go live somewhere where fire alarms arent an issue. Its not worth the hardwood floors and the park out front.By the way, I complained that the fire alarms going off all the time are terrible and this was the response I got:Alarms can be set off for various reasons. Our staff, the local fire department, and our fire system contractor all inspect the system and building if/when an alarm goes off. While I understand that the alarms going off can be an inconvenience our system is functioning properly. So, yeah, its not a flaw, its a feature. Only move in here if you love fire drills.

We just leased an apartment, so I can’t comment much on the state of living here, but the leasing team (and Candice specifically) are absolutely amazing! She was super helpful and accommodating throughout the process, and went above and beyond. After we’d already signed our lease, she took an hour to take us to the apartment before our move in date, take measurements, photos, etc and even helped us get some mail that had already arrived. I love how helpful she was with no real incentive to do so! Awesome start to our experience! Thanks Candice.

Following weeks of complaints to the management at Crescent Village Apartment Homes & the regional office we still can’t get the elevators or doors cleaned. For the past 11 weeks the elevator buttons & surfaces, the handrails in the staircases & entrance/exit door handles are only being cleaned once a week at best, it is currently ten days since they were last cleaned. These high touch areas are used multiple times a day by hundreds of people. This is ridiculously unhygienic at the best of times but with the global covid 19 pandemic it’s absolutely absurd. These kinds of high contact areas are the number 1 source of spreading the virus & should be cleaned multiple times per day not just once a week or once every ten days.

I’ve been living at Crescent Village for a while and recently transferred to a different unit. It was a somewhat complicated transfer involving a very desirable unit with multiple interested parties, the addition of another tenant, a move to a different building with different staff, and a mid-lease breakage. We couldn’t have asked for a more competent and patient leasing consultant. Kayla was so attentive and helpful throughout the entire process!Kayla fought for us to get the unit we wanted and made sure that we were taken care of even on her days off. She took care of all the paperwork and made a rather complicated transaction feel easy. Ask for Kayla in the office if you want things to get taken care of right the first time! She will treat you like family and truly cares about her job!We are very happy in our new apartment and love living here. Lots of great amenities and a spacious well maintained community.

Ive lived in dozens of apartment communities in several areas of the country (incl Hawaii), and I cant say enough good things about the community, especially the Verona Apartments.Fantastic community with really helpful, reliable, and responsive people in the Verona Resident Services Office (RSO), including the buildings maintenance team.Ive lived in Crescent Village twice over now. First in the Cadiz building, which is clean and really nice finishes, then in the Verona building, which also has nice finishes and is technically part of Crescent Village, but down the street which has its advantages. We get to use the amenities in the main community, but have the feel of a (relatively) smaller building. The rents are reasonable given the fit and finish of the community and apartments, and its hard to overstate how helpful the staff is here. Ive checked out other complexes, incl other Irvine Properties, but keep coming back to Verona. Ive lived in a 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and now one of the handful of 1 bedroom+lofts on the top floor. After ~4 years, Im finally moving out to move to Southern California and into another Irvine Properties apartment. That should say something about what you get for the price.

Pros:- Large playground near (this is not a full pro since you dont need to live in CV to use that and a lot of near complexes use it as well)- Access to Google shuttle- Maintenance is fast and reasonableCons- Very expensive- Lighting in our apartment was really bad. Though we were east directed and on third floor, the trees and other buildings block the lighting. Sometimes it feels like a prison than an expensive apartment.- Overall the apartments are badly designed. Most of them dont have a view, badly lighted, elevators take quite long time to get you from A to B.- Safety. Our car was in garage and was broken into. The only thing we got from maintenance was that they were sorry.- Inflexibility in management. Although the prices in the neighborhood and San Jose has dropped quite heavily, they havent provided any change in price.

The complex itself is nice - it has a pool, a gym, all the basic amenities. The staff is very friendly before you sign the lease and Its all great until you have a problem, then youre on your own.First, it was the alarms. Faulty alarms would go off on a daily basis with no reaction from the staff what so ever. For months, weve been awoken by alarms at night, frightened in the middle of the day, be it on the weekends or mid-week.And now, three of our bicycles were stolen from a secure, locked bicycles room, accessible only to residents with an electronic key. Its a really small room with a security camera in it. Ive been chasing the management staff for almost a month now asking for them to look at the footage, but not only they did not get back to me when they promised (I went to the office five times), they cant figure out who should be looking at the camera footage and how to do it. Meantime, day by day, were losing time in solving this mystery. A quick look in other bike rooms revealed a similar picture - cut locks on the floor, and a camera that nobody is looking at.They dont seem worried at all that either one of the residents has been cutting locks and stealing bicycles or someone from the outside has access to the entire complex with an electronic key. I need to chase them for answers and so far Ive been getting none. Absolutely unprofessional behavior from the staff.Speaking with a local repairman, he revealed that in general people are not nice around here and can easily cut your tires for whatever reason.

The complex itself is alright. Very big and pretty nice, although not the nicest I’ve seen for the price. However, staff / management is pretty abysmal and hard to deal with. I would have to go into the office in person 4-5 times over the course of 2 weeks just to get a single issue resolved (this happened multiple times). Overall, I’m much happier with the place I moved to after my lease here ended, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone in good faith.

We loved this property when taking the tour and the staff was very helpful. So even though its a bit expensive we decided to move in. However I regret it now.First of all I did not know that this area is affected so much by the landfill at Milpitas. I smell it frequently just stepping out of the apartment. So often times walking around the neighborhood is a no no.Second, I reported the extra noise from AC upon moving in. So far it has been a few months and no body came fix it yet. I was only able to bear with it because I did not need to turn on the AC frequently.THE MOST ANNOYING PART: the apartment management team enter your apartment literately every few days. In the last month only, I was asked to empty my closet twice for some work. How often do you empty your closet? It is the entire closure! And they leave your room with dirt everywhere! I mean real dirt! You do not feel its your home, you feel its a hotel. But even hotels have do not disturb option. Here you do not!In addition, the fire alarm has gone off at mid of night more than a few times within the last couple of months. And one of the elevators always has trouble.Think it twice potential residents. Do not be allured by the appearance of the property!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is by far the worse community I have ever lived in due to management. I have lived here over a year and half and its increasingly disappointing. In sum, its problem after problem and management fails to resolve every time.I originally moved here as I am familiar with the Irvine company and their apartment communities in Irvine. Let it be known that their communities outside of Irvine do NOT uphold the same standard or customer service. Rather, you pay the hefty fees for an Irvine community, with DMV service and care. The problems started on day one when we moved into a filthy apartment. In the contract it states upon leaving you will be charged a cleaning fee. Based on the status of the filth and disrepair we moved into, the company must pocket the fee and neglect the units. It took over 2 weeks for the company to address the issues within our unit. The screens had holes in in them, the appliances were broken, lights were out and the doorbell was missing.Parking is massive problem in this community. Cars sit unmoved for over 7 months and management does not address this issue. This occurs both on the street parking and underground. Neighbors are both disruptive and disgruntled as a result; they scream at you when you park in electronic vehicle parking and actually drive an electric car!My car was vandalized the management would NOT respond to a phone call. I left work early to speak to someone in person. Upon going into the office the response was to pay for additional space at a rate of $100 per month. They did not address my concerns nor damage to personal property. A security fee in included with the rental price. What is the point of hiring security guards if they do not stop property damage? The crime in the area is high, dog poop and cockroaches out of control in the communal areas. When you reach out to residence services for assistance the calls are never answered, there is not a voicemail nor an email services. The off hours are limited and mostly for those who work from home or do not work. Over all the management fails to provide support, service and care of its residents.Hopefully this is a warning and helps you avoid the nightmares of living here. Sadly, this is a terrible representation if the Irvine community.

I’ve lived in 4 apartments in ten years and Crescent Village was the worst experience of all of them.It started with finding out 3 days prior to move-in the apartment we had put a deposit down for us not available because the tenants were not moving out. At no discount we were inconvenienced to come in and select another.Within months of moving in the water heater leaked flooding our bedroom. An entire section of the wall and some carpeting was replaced. They did not replace the padding under that section of the carpet and left it bare! The A/C overflow leaked continuously and after several visits from maintenance the problem was never resolved. There was always minors things braking or the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. For $3,000/mo there was little value to this apartment. It was aesthetically pleasing and the pool was nice - that’s about it.The move-out was worse than the move-in if you can believe that. We had scheduled the move-out inspection specifically for 1pm and confirmed with resident services that was the time and I showed up to find the office closed, nobody there and nobody showed up to the apartment while I waited for an hour and had to return to work. They showed up at 4 that day and conducted the most fraudulent inspection I’ve ever seen while we were not present. They randomly drew x’s all over the linoleum floor, randomly took a picture of the air vent, and cited carpet damage. This amounted to them keeping our $1600 deposit and charging an additional $2200 to cover the “damage”.I emailed resident services several times as well as calling and did not get a return for almost a month! The provided the invoice for the lino with the “inspection” report which had in the comments “ save all recoverable and leave for future use “. So they essentially are trying to bill us for replacing the entire apartment and keeping most of it for repairs of other apartments. I reached out several more times and never got a response or got in touch with management and they simply sent us to collections without communicating with us.Jokes on them - We bought our house and I’ll let that sit on my credit before paying for fraud. Also, still waiting on contact from management.

Update 4/15: nightmare about the parking garage! Worst ever. This is our second day we moved in. The parking spots they offered us is occupied by other vehicles every time! We reported three times about this issue and they responded us with ‘being merciful, be kind when others make mistakes’. The manager told me that they have connected with the resident who took our parking place and the owner would be aware of that. But unfortunately, the same scene happened again when we were back tonight. We tried to ask for towing the car away. They refused our request saying they cannot do that.Is the assigned parking space a public parking? We paid $100 a month for one extra space and now everyone can park at our space without penalty. The resident service side is disappointing as well. They do not work for residents. When we are in trouble they just refuse to help.Update 4/11: Christina in the office reached out to me. She is really nice. She made apologize for my bad experience and helped me solved the problem. Hope we will not meet similar problem after we move in.The environment is good, but the resident service is quite awful. I tried to reach out resident service, the manager Brittany and another staff there is rude and have no patience at all. They keep delaying this process. This is one of the reasons we decided to extend our lease here: we know that any problem is treated with outmost care and urgency. Thank you Crescent Village team!!==========================We have been living in Verona for the past 4 years, and I can confidently say that it has now the absolute best maintenance team. Adrian is a magician when it comes to taking care of your home. He is very caring, professional and a perfectionist by nature. Over the past year, our requests for maintenance were solved very very fast: they did touch up paint in the kitchen, and a broken refrigerator was quickly replaced. We also had a leaking sink in our second bathroom which we were told in the past it cannot be fixed, and he and Jessie fixed it in a matter of minutes. Jessie, Alejandro and few others also delivered excellent results with various occasions. One particular mention for Jessie: one evening my key was not working at the locker room, and he was in his car, leaving for the day. He stopped the car to help me. This really says a lot about his excellent ethic and professionalism. All in all: a 5 star maintenance team and team leader!
