Our guide Kathy was awesome. She explained a lot of the history of the Castro district and the lgbtq+ civil Rights movement. Some of it was intense, you could see she too cared deeply about what she was talking about, that helps through the intense parts. I learned a lot that day. Thanks Kathy. The weather was terrific, and the length of the tour seemed just right.

Kathy was an extraordinary guide with a clear sense of knowledge of the history and people that shaped the neighborhood and San Francisco overall. She was very friendly, the tour was well paced, and it was a great way to get to know the area. Kathys passion overflowed, as she expressed her connections to the neighborhood, for example with her work on the Pink Triangle Park and the placards of LGBT+ icons along the sidewalks. My Partner and I had a wonderful walking tour with Kathy. We did The Castro: Historical Walking Tour of San Franciscos Gay & Lesbian District on January 13th, 2017. Kathy has a lot of deep knowledge about the Gay and Lesbian struggle and shared it with great personal touch from the period of Harvey Milk to the present day.
