Dr. Baliwas and the Union Square dental office members are amazing. Everyone is kind and thorough, and Dr. Baliwas provides excellent preventative care tips and is conservative in treatment plans. They also removed a stain on my teeth that a dozen other dentists said wasnt removable. I highly recommend this office!
I am a dental coward of the first rank, and I loathe and abhor even the idea of a dental treatment. In fact, my last dentist was such a Lord of Death & General Dismay that, once I had finished the crown process with him, I swore off dental work for several years. (This is not recommended.) In fact, I only sought out treatment a couple of days ago because a tooth broke while I drank a glass of wine. (Yes, during a glass of wine. I mean, I ask you: no gnawing or other forms of vigorous chewing: *swallowing*!) Fate had forced my hand, or at least my mouth.Next morning, I found that dentists available through my insurance plan seemed not to have anyone to answer a phone, so I searched around Yelp in some desperation (read: panic. I was holding the broken tooth in place with scotch tape, if you can believe it: It was all I could think to do at midnight when the break happened). In the end - and Im not even sure how I found this Group - I liked the reviews for them and called their office (they answered, praise be all things good). They worked me in for the next day and gave me Dr. Patterson.Well, thats the background. The good doctor and his highly competent assistant worked their magic (root canal. . .words to inspire terror in the most stalwart), and - I swear to God - it didnt hurt. It just did. not. hurt. I almost cried from gratitude. I lay there while they worked and I wished I could nominate them for a Nobel in Pain Prevention (seriously, *while* they were working on me). I can scarcely believe it, even now. Therefore, dear Reader, if you want (or need) a dentist, even if you have to pay out-of-pocket, find (pay special heed here) Dr. Christopher A. Patterson and accept no substitutes. Truly.
Really incredible - dont even live in San Francisco, but was coming in on business when I chipped my front tooth on the flight out. In a panic, I called Union Square Dental Group, and they were amazing! From Tiffany at the front desk to Dr. Dan Scott - they worked tirelessly to try and find an opening to get me in for an emergency appointment. They worked quickly and thoroughly, accommodated my schedule, and the service was really fantastic! Could not recommend more!
I love Dr. Baliwas! He and his assistants are really great at explaining their processes and they are realists about dental care and prevention. They wont try to just upsell you things you dont need and are mindful of costs. I recommend to everyone! The only negative is the location.. theres no parking and its a bit out of the way for me since I dont live or work that close to the office.
These guys are on top on their game, highly recommend
