All of the staff members at Montgomery Street Dental are very friendly and professional. They always take the time to explain what’s going on and they are very accommodating when I need to change appointment times. Their thorough cleanings have absolutely helped me avoid cavities. I recently chipped my front tooth and Dr. Khosh filled it in so expertly that nobody can tell anything happened.

Dr. Khoshvaghti did a great job assessing my overall situation, then performing some tooth-saving fillings and a completely painless extraction and graft. The hygienist is also very skillful, and the whole staff is friendly and not at all judgmental.

All around amazing dentist experience! I have a good amount of anxiety around going to the dentist but Dr. Khosh and his staff made me feel very at ease. Their front desk staff is incredibly helpful, their hygienists are kind and gentle, and the doctor is very nice and thorough in his examination. I only went in for a cleaning and evaluation today, but he gave a comprehensive overview of the work Id need in the future (some fillings) and I didnt at all feel like he was trying to push things I didnt necessarily need (Ive had dentists do this in the past). I’ve been going to Montgomery street dental for over a decade now. I am afraid of the dentist, but the experience here has made me actually kind of enjoy it! Everyone at Montgomery street is just really kind and understanding. I appreciate that they are really focused on preventing dental problems from happening - and they have done a great job when I do have cavity and gum problems, and when I wanted to do some tooth bleaching they helped with that too! And they are also just really nice and gentle with my teeth and make me feel comfortable. I don’t work in the area anymore, but I still come in for my appointments because I really trust the team here.

He is a prosthodontist and I will definitely refer my patients who live in San Francisco to him after the great dental work he did on two of my teeth. Dr. Kosh is terrific. I had a wisdom tooth extracted. He explained exactly what he was doing every step of the way. The extraction itself took only a few minutes. He called me later that night to check in on how I was doing. And it was almost entirely a pain-free experience. On top of that, the staff is very friendly, competent and professional.

I was told to see a specialist - a prosthodontist - due to the complexity of my dental work. I also wanted to improve my smile since I was showing too much gum. Many of my dental work including dental implant crowns had to be redone since they were not done right. Dr Khosh is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He spent lots of time correcting my bite, my teeth and my simile.  He also did some dental implant for me. I cant express my feeling about my new smile! I am super happy. Highly recommend him to anyone interested to do some quality dental work.

To be honest I was really really worried about a change in dentists. I had been seeing Dr Freeman for almost 30 years and I have a ton of anxiety about getting my teeth worked on. My first experience with Dr Kosh doing work on my teeth had me really tense. I needed to have a number of of metal childhood filings replaced and a partial crown. Basic terrifying anxiety for me. But he took the time to understand my anxiety and everyone was really professional and caring and I am so pleased with how it all turned out. Way less stressful than I had feared and lots of care for the anxiety they knew I had. I can now highly recommend to anyone.seeking a knowledgeable and skilled DDS.

I went to Dr. Khosh because I had a loose 17 year old implant with a 4 tooth crown covering it. I was hesitant because the crown was cemented in and not easily removable. Dr. Khosh made sure I was relaxed before my appt, he offered laughing gas in addition to novicaine shot and all my anxiety was gone and made the whole process a nonissue given I have a fear of dentists and doctors. What I also appreciated was he appeared to check and double check his work and did not rush through it. I wanted someone who would do it right the first time and I feel he accomplished that. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of implants or repairs. His staff was very courteous and his prices were reasonable. No regrets here.

Ive been a patient here for nearly 9 years. This was the first dentist that made me feel comfortable getting treated. 9 years ago Dr. Freeman noticed me tensing up, and asked if I was in pain. I was, but because of my past experience with other dentists, I thought it was a normal amount. He explained that I shouldnt feel any discomfort, only pressure, and gave me more anesthetic. Boom! No more pain. From then on he made sure to use a little more on me. I even had a root canal, and because I felt nothing, and because they have headphones and a TV to watch, it was almost a relaxing spa like experience, instead of a dental procedure.Since then Ive started receiving treatment from Dr. Khoshvaghti, and the experience has been just as consistently good.Everyone at this dental practice is top notch, and makes you feel a like a friend when youre there. The dental treatment Ive received has been great and improved my dental health. My only complaint is that Im likely moving in the near future and I cant bring them with me!If youre nervous about dentists, afraid of the pain, or feeling judged because you dont floss as much as you know you should, I recommend you give this team a try. Finding a new dentist is always stressful. When my former dentist retired from this practice, I was very pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Dr. “Khosh” who was professional yet warm, skilled and conscientious yet compassionate and eager to please his patient. As an example, one of my first appointments involved the replacement of an old crown that was hanging on by a thread. I could actually feel it failing! Dr. Khosh truthfully informed me that he would do all he could to save the tooth but could not guarantee his efforts would be successful. Midstream in the replacement that same day, it became evident I’d need a root canal and a more complicated replacement of the crown. He presented my options and I opted for the most conservative approach for my situation. He immediately phoned a neighboring dentist he liked working with to do the root canal that same afternoon! The very next morning I was back at Montgomery St. dental having the next step of the crown replacement. I’m happy to report years later that my at risk tooth is well and has a beautiful crown! I’m most thankful to have someone who so carefully educates me of my dental work options and who places so much importance on preventive health measures of the latest best practices. I have been a patient of at Montgomery Street Dental for more than 20 years. Dr. Freeman was old school in the best sense of the word. He is meticulous and highly professional. When Dr. Kosh bought into the practice a few years ago the long-time staff (Kat and Debbie) left. Initially that was concerning and then I chalked it up to a normal changing of the guard. Dr. Kosh brought fresh training and modern technology to the practice. His technical skills are strong.Today Dr. Kosh asked me about my patient experience and I said it feels like a business now. Even before Covid it felt like they were often up-selling. Want some laughing gas? That is an additional charge.Today was the kicker. One of the staff encouraged me to write a Google review and said if I did that in the office I would get $40 off my next visit. And she would get a commission for getting me to write a review. It was awkward and I felt coerced. I declined and got no such discount however many reviews on this page are basically paid posts. Montgomery Dental specifically directs people to Google reviews. Perhaps thats because Yelp discourages business owners from soliciting reviews and states it should go without saying, but offering compensation or incentives in exchange for reviews is a violation of our policies.I understand times are tough and dentists have rent and debt to pay. Downtown is deserted and people are postponing trips to the dentist. But the aggressive commercialism of this practice makes me doubt their medical decisions and motivations.

Dr. Khoshvaghti did an AMAZING job on my full-mouth construction/smile makeoverA few years ago I severely broke my jaw in multiple places. I healed up but the injury left LOTS of damage...heavily injured teeth, scar tissue under the gums, a misaligned bite that caused severe TMJ headaches. Earlier in the year, I made the decision to finally correct the damage. With the pandemic, I had to postpone treatment until mid-June. He corrected all the damage done and a few teeth were also corrected for purely cosmetic reasons (why not go for a really pretty smile!)Dr. Khoshvaghti is a rare breed of dentist and prosthodontist. He was educated at UCSF and went on to Michigan to a three-year residency in prosthodontics at one of the best programs in the country. He specializes in implants, veneers and crowns. He literally recreated my bite and eliminated my painful TMJ. He is the plastic surgeon of dentistry. Highly skilled and a true artist.

His staff scheduled me back in the following week, to make a dental plan and we have been making progress, seeing him frequently for the past few months.Today, January 14th, 2021, I walk away feeling like a completely new woman. I had 4 more teeth extracted, lower partial fitted and an Upper Denture fitted. I cannot believe how I feel and I am so very, very grateful for Dr and his staff.I have never ever wrote this but, today, I can actually say, that my teeth are gorgeous!!! Ive been a patient at Montgomery Street Dental for at least 15 years now, first seeing Dr. Freeman and now Dr. Khosh, who has impressed me with his knowledge, skill, and warm approach when I had to have a lot of work done. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Montgomery Street Dental since 2001, and I have always loved the care and service I get there, particularly the bi-annual cleanings I get with Paolo. In 2019, they identified a problem with one tooth, and I ended up having the best possible experience getting a dental implant from Dr. Khosh and his excellent staff! Before determining an implant was necessary, he helped arrange a second opinion with a root canal specialist. We confirmed an implant would be the best option, and Dr. Khosh took a lot of time to explain the multi-phase, year-long process. Greg at the front desk worked diligently with my insurance company so there would be no surprises when the bills came. And surgical assistant Priscilla is a delight and puts everyone at ease with her good cheer. My extraction began pre-pandemic, so the other phases of my implant happened under lockdown. The staff worked with me to help me understand the exhaustive safety procedures the office put in place to give me every confidence that I could move forward with the next phases. Each part of the procedure was easier than the on preceding it, and I got a lot of support, including Dr. Khosh calling me after hours to check in. My implant fits perfectly and now feels much like the original tooth. Thank you, Montgomery Street Dental!

This is the best dental office. I have never felt so comfortable and at ease at a dental office. From the minute you step into this office you get over the top service. The front desk staff are super friendly and welcoming. And I can’t say enough about all the pleasant experiences with Dr. Khoshvaghti himself. He listens thoroughly to your concerns and then answers all your questions and concerns one by one. You feel so reassured and comfortable with the treatment plan that you just know you are in good hands. His work is true art. Could not be happier with the results. Dr Khosh did my implant and I have not had any issues with it ever since.He has excellent attention to details and always does a great job for me.He makes the process go seamlessly andI would definitely go back to him for all my dental care.

I highly recommend Montgomery Street Dental. Dr Khoshvaghti is very caring and thorough. He explained all my options very clearly. My experience with the hygienist “Cheryl” was amazing. She cleaned my teeth very well and it was painless. My gum does not bleed anymore when I floss. The rest of the team are very friendly as well.

I had such a great experience at this office. I had a problem with one of my feelings for a couple of years and had to replace it for a few times. Dr. Khoshvaghti Did an amazing job and made me a beautiful and comfortable goal Inlay. My tooth is fixed like nothing has ever happened to it. His friendliness and his chair side manner is exceptional. I went back a few days later for my hygiene appointment. Cheryl the hygienist greeted me with a smile and was very polite. She was very gentle and thorough and did a great job doing my cleaning. I highly recommend Montgomery Street Dental. Dr Kosh did an excellent job taking care of my mouth. Most recently, he corrected my bite and appearance using Invisalign. Percilla, his dental assistant, is friendly, has gorgeous teeth and very skilled at her job. Pablo does an excellent job cleaning teeth. Greg does a great job, ensuring the insurance billing is correct and making sure you dont miss any appointment. It is a first class operation!

This is not a paid review. My dentist of 20 years retired last year and I didnt love the dentist that took over her practice. I found Montgomery Street dental through my insurers directory and saw the strong reviews. Its always a little daunting to work with someone new, so I assumed I would give Dr. Kosh a try and if I didnt like my experience, I would find someone else.I have since had 4 visits with Dr. Kosh--2 cleanings, an emergency crown and a filling replacement. The emergency crown was in a tricky spot and I was feeling pretty stressed out about the extent of drilling that would be required. If youve never had to have a crown--they are not fun. Dr. Kosh and his assistant Pricilla were extremely patient with me, allowed me to stop any time I needed a break and explained everything they were doing so I would know what to expect.Dr. Kosh and his team are very professional. Everyones demeanor is calm. They have a modern office with modern equipment and techniques. I highly recommend Dr. Kosh if you are looking for a new dentist.
