I volunteer for a program that serves seniors and disabled. Once every two weeks a neighbor and i volunteer to assist.It gives me great pleasure to serve in a city where i live. It is a pleasure and honor. The. Meals on wheels open the space for UNITITo bag and deliver food also. Great ❤ and care is displayed by this partnership.I dont know all of the details, I do know as a former commissioner of the Southeast community this is what caring and sharing is all about.Thanks for this opportunity to share my small experience of serving as a volunteer.

Great help during the passing of m y Elderly Mum recently. They made sure she got good meals during Covid. Always kind, concerned.Fruit & Milk alone if great. 90% of the meals are quite good.Love the breakfast. If you dont need it, dont get it. If you need it. Even to supplement what little u may have, its a Godsend! THANKS TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON EVER INVOLVED. Be safe!

We were referred to Meals on wheels for my dad! They have been a Godsend ! Professional, caring and just all around awesome! The food is great! My dad enjoys the variety and never complains about the food! Thank you ❤️❤️

Terrible food with pretty names. The meat is all gristle and otherwise unchewable for someone with old teeth. Every meal comes with some kind of meat; pork, beef or chicken. Once in a while there is a fish plate. Thawed out, the meals have a dingy spoiled smell that makes me wonder how long they have been freezer somewhere. My partner is a vegetarian and is forced to survive on the meager vegetable additions on the majorly meat main dish. We were forced to throw away large parts of the meals on wheels and survive on the meager scrapings. I might add that, despite the fancy names, for the “food” was utterly indistinguishable from eating cardboard.

God send for caretakers, elders, Chronic ill, etc. Very kind, good people. Service of delivery varies from Neighborhood in San Francisco. In SF, dont be to nice, you will wind up as Building Door Opener, get calls l, ocmver n over while caretaking, all during Covid with my own issues, and Caretaking Elderly, Frail, Mother. Your time may be, taken advantage of if you missed that. Solved somewhat easily. If problems with delivery, thing can get off. I became the sickest Building Door opener from the 4th floor during Covid Peak. Easily solved with call. Good send for caretakers, elders, Chronic ill, etc. The rotting fruit, wish it wasnt packed in...makes bags fall apart on the floor. Still great service. 98% Positive good deal. Sincere thanks.

My friend who is a senior recently signed up for this service because of the shelter in place and her income is low. She receives 7 frozen meals that are delivered twice a week that helps but does not meet her needs. She still has to shop for her other meals unfortunately but is grateful to get one meal a day from this program. The food is just ok.

The food is good and clean delivered weekly for my taste they could add some vegetarian dishes thae would save them money one thi g that is not needed are the weekly calls to waste time

I have been a customer for many years and have become increasingly concerned about the quality and quantity of the meals. From my standpoint the best description of their food is...VERY POOR...with no dash leading to fair.Their chicken meals appear to be poultry rejects that have run a marathon prior to slaughter...they are the skinniest most emaciated, meatless chickens I have ever seen. Their pork dinner meals are tougher than shoe leather riddled with fat and gristle...if you cut off the edible meat or chicken they weigh less than 4 ounces with little or no recognizable taste or flavor. Thankfully I still have all of my teeth for all of the chewing that is required.Last Sunday I saw the CEO of M on Ws interviewed on Channel 5 (SF) and you would have thought that the meals are tasteful and plentiful based upon his comments. He actually said they deliver 2 meals a day while in actuality the so-called second meal is not a meal at all but can consist of 2 hard boiled eggs, a bag of carrot slivers and a few bites of celery, a slab of processed turkey and two mutilated pieces of bread.The fruit they send is an outright embarrassment...the oranges and apples are about the size of golf balls. Any grocery store would reject these as unacceptable...oh, they usually provide a high fructose fruit drink of some kind. And you ought to see the so-called vegetables they send...they appear to be rejects based upon their paltry size, color and flavor.I wonder if they will be dining on one of these meals at their Star Chefs Dinner Gala on April 21. I wonder if their CEO has ever eaten one of the two meals he touted on TV. I wonder what they would do if I showed up at their fund raising dinner and handed out photos of the many unappetizing meals they deliver. I wonder...

I have been a client for a few years now, they leave all of our bags at the front desk when they are asked to bring to rooms,and for some reason at least once a week i do not get my food. person working the desk claims they did not bring it, but who knows if they simply did as theyve been instructed to do then i could point the blame in right direction. please people just do your job!!by the way i live at seneca hotel 6th st. sf ca

Lately this organization is a disgust with all the bad practices both work and service. The quality and hygiene is very poor and recently seen evidence of certain drivers are practically intimidated to silence all those violations. Also racial discrimination racial by managers and a lead driver.as drivers have been fired for this lead driver with false reports presented by the other managers. This person has created a hostile environment in this workplace affecting all productivity this organization does not have equality of employment or advance here if you are not of the same sexual orientation you not have opportunity of anything no matter the years of services you have. Every day this problem affects all the drivers these two people latino manager and lead driver cause no one to work happyThey have to stop these abuses.

Do not blame the drivers for all the unhealthy handling meals.the biggest fault is the city of san francisco. they are notified when the health department will inspect. As a suggestion the authorities should investigate in detail with the collaboration of the drivers all frauds committed by this organization. The drivers we have documents photos and more proofs.Here your value and knowledge does not have value if your sexual orientation is different from the management. Ask clients and all navigations center how they received the milk two weeks agoThey could cause a massive poisoning. Is the worst management in the la history of this organization. Please contact the drivers they have all proofs especially the seniors drivers with many years of services. Latino supervisors do not value good workers. Because racial preferences and frauds start from that department without assessing the mission of the organization. As a citizen we must make public and denonunce all this in the media, clients have the right to know how and in what conditions they receive their meals
