First time getting a professional body wax service and it was amazing. Such care and attention to their customers and I appreciated that I even got a follow up call the next day to make sure I was doing ok and not having any adverse reactions. Would recommend to anyone!

This was my first time here and it was PHENOMENAL! Their website is easy to navigate, great incentives for referrals, a 20% discount on first wax service if done online, and AMAZING customer service. The gentleman handling the counter greeted me by name and offered me a cold bottled water, he was very friendly with a charming accent to match. My cerologist, Leila (not 100% on spelling) made me feel such at ease and was genuine. I had a brow wax and a basic bikini wax. It was my first time getting a bikini was and I was nervous, but she put me at ease. She is an experienced professional and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her and this business!

The gentleman at the front desk does not have very good customer service skills especially when you know in advance Im a first time customer! I booked my appointment online bc Tameka has good reviews but upon my arrival my appointment was changed without my knowledge to Robin who is new but at first lied when I first walked in the room and said she been doing this for 5 years then kept repeating how shes been practicing and Im being a real champ and also she watched YouTube videos to learn. I do understand that she needs to build her experience but dont use someone as a guinea pig without them being aware. This immediately rubbed me the wrong way bc I know who I booked my appointment with and thats who I wanted. The gentlemen tried to act like thats not what I did like in crazy! Im not going to even go into detail about my experience with Robin shes new and still nervous. I did see Tameka in passing and I spoke to her and she spoke back she seems nice Im sad I will never get to experience her bc I will not go back here, when I checked out the gentleman asked me where was I going before and he said good huh quick I said yes then he started naming other places I could go my usual lady was booked is what I told him can I reschedule again with Tameka but he kept repeating places I could go he did rebook me not sure if with Tameka but Im not going back bc I dont like his attitude. First time last time!

Tamekia is so good. So keeps you talking as to taking your mind off as she wax the hair off of you. She does a very good job. I am very pleased with her services.

Coordinator’s customer service declined after I became a loyal customer. His communication became rude and sarcastic. The specialists were always professional, friendly, and kind. The facility is very neat, and clean. They provide high quality products.

Booked a Brazilian wax with Ariyah and she was super nice and professional. This was my first experience and she made me feel very comfortable. Highly recommended.

So thrilled that we now have a WAXING THE CITY in Mississippi!!! My cerologist was incredibly sweet, engaging, and thorough. It was definitely the least painful wax Ive ever experienced. I love it when I go in for a Brazilian wax and dont have do concern myself with cleaning off pieces of wax or plucking out missed hairs afterward. Also, because Id previously referred a friend, I was rewarded with a discount! Ill definitely be returning here over and over and over again!

Coordinator is very polite and helpful. Technicians have great bedside manners to make the experience as easy as possible. Very clean facility

Update: I spoke with the manager, and he was very lovely and helpful. He re-booked me for an eyebrow wax, free of charge. The willingness to fix the problem as well as the explanation behind it led me to change my rating.wish I could leave a favorable review, however I’ve had 3 issues with this business already after using them only once. I went in a few weeks ago for an eyebrow wax the first time. The young woman did a great job. However when it was time to pay, they charged me for another customer’s services. I was on my way home when they called and asked me to come back to fix it. Mistakes happen so I was willing to let it go.At that appointment, I booked a new appointment for 4 weeks later. That was supposed to be this weekend. I never got texts or emails to confirm. So I decided to call to confirm. The young lady on the phone said there was no record of me booking an appointment even though I stood there in the shop and booked it with the receptionist as my cerologist looked on. Again, mistakes happen. But this is two already so I’m a bit cautious.Now today. I open the app to make sure my appointment for today is still confirmed. It says that I’m booked for a Brazilian. No. I asked for an eyebrow wax. Once again mistakes happen but this is the third one. There’s a pattern here.I’m canceling today’s appointment even though it will cost a fee. Three strikes, I’m out. I wish it weren’t this way but this is not a good sign for me to continue doing business here.

Ive been to several Waxing the City locations and this was by far my best experience (even with COVID restrictions/requirements). The facility is remarkably clean and staff very welcoming. Tamekia provided my service and she was confident, detail oriented and warm. She answered all my questions, gave recommendations-- some requiring products they sold, others not, and went above and beyond to make me comfortable and make sure I got the service I desired. I had been hesitant to sign up for a membership in the past but in light of this experience I knew it would be a good investment.

I was very happy with my service. Lelia did a great job with eyebrows. She is very helpful and professional. This was my first time visit but I will be going back in the future.

I went today with my husband and they very friendly. They made me feel at ease because I was nervous about getting a bikini. My cerologist made me feel so much better. I will definitely be coming back here to get waxed.

I have been a client of Waxing the City Madison since the beginning of 2020. From the beginning, I have had nothing, but great experiences. The owner, who often works at the front desk is amazing, professional, welcoming. My go-to cerologist Tomeika is amazing as well. She is knowledgable of the skin, products tailored to personal skin needs, and all of the waxing needs. As long as I am in Mississippi, Waxing the City Madison has my business.

Literally the worst place to get waxed at. The people who own the place force you to set up an appointment even if you dont want one just in hopes that you will forget to cancel so they can charge you half price of what you scheduled. The owners are too pushy and this place isnt ready to be open or at least owned by the current owners. A quite awful and terrible place.
