Gina Ocampo (AMSI) is the best! She went above and beyond to help me get my place ready for guests, and got my condo booked right away (then I was paid, right away). I recommend having AMSI manage your property in San Francisco, especially if youre subject to a No rentals less than 30 days stipulation from your homeowners agency. Having a minimum stay length of 30 days also puts your neighbors more at ease.

10 years with the firm. AMSI has been in business since 1974 as a property management company. Full service including corporate rentals, maintenance, house keeping and sales. Robb, Zoya, Kim and Nathan are fixtures in the community. Only a few companies in the country can provide the level of service and professionalism that AMSI can.

TLDR: They canceled my lease, which was signed by all parties, prior to move in. I have taken this issue to the tenants union and talked to lawyers. This is ILLEGAL.First of all, this company has places listed way over market that they let sit empty for months before finally dropping the rent to reasonable levels. When people do this, it makes apartment hunting very frustrating and inefficient. Luckily the rent for the apartment I wanted finally dropped right before I needed to move.However, my agent, Jules, was completely incompetent. I submitted my application on Friday, January 4. I was in a hurry because I needed to be out of my apartment on January 6 and hotels were going to be 750+ that night due to a conference. She told me I would be receiving a lease by Sunday, January 6. But my father needed to sign it first because he would be co-signing. She told me she sent it on Monday morning at 8 am. But he did not receive it. I was calling her all day trying to figure out what was going on. She finally sent it to him at 6:30 pm Monday night, at which point he signed it immediately. I didn’t get my lease until Tuesday at 2:30 pm, by which time I was sleep deprived, sick, and in Monterey, as I had to leave the city for a place to stay.I had questions about my lease that I needed answered before signing, which I told Jules. I followed up multiple times. And she kept just saying the owner hadn’t answered her yet and that they were showing the unit to others because I was being “flaky.” Flaky? No. I was being careful. I wanted to make sure I understood the terms of the contract I was signing. I didn’t get an answer until Wednesday at 8:30 pm, at which point I signed immediately.No deadline for submitting my rent and deposit was ever given to me. I said I could drop off my cashiers check when I got back. But I stayed in Monterey to see Big Sur. At first, Jules had told me I could just send a wire, so I didn’t think it would be a big deal. I thought I had a binding, executed contract.I thought wrong. On Saturday morning when I wanted to drop off my check, I was informed they had given the apartment to someone else. According to my lease as written, I was never in breach of contract and this is illegal.As a result, I am homeless. I am talking to lawyers about what I can do, but they tell me all I can do is sue for damages. In order for there to be damages, I would have to rent a more expensive apartment and be able to demonstrate that I somehow had to do that. I don’t know how this would possibly work.

We recently rented a house through AMSI and the whole experience was great.....Arevik was our agent. She knew the San Francisco rental market very well. The house is located in the Richmond district of San Francisco. She provided us with comparable listings in the immediate area and helped us decide on the rental price we should ask for the house. We had multiple interested parties, and after Arevik checked their credit worthiness and references we selected the family that checked all our expectations. The house rented for the asking price.....In the future we would not hesitate to use AMSI and specifically Arevik to help us find a qualified renter.
