Our Funeral Arranger, Dedra McFarland, was professional and caring, and she was available to our family whenever we needed her. I cannot imagine getting through this difficult time without her.

The San Francisco Columbarium is beautiful, serene and peaceful. Our experience with staff members Serena and especially Brian was incredibly positive. The help we received was over and above the call to duty. They made us comfortable with all the logistics even suggesting several items from their storeroom for our use! Brian was very visible throughout our event and our guests were very impressed with his attention to details. Their professionalism allowed us to focus on the memorial service itself and maximum time with our guests. Thank you so much!

My father was laid to rest here. I find it a point to come visit him sometimes. I love the architecture. I myself is thinking about having myself interred here.

Brian and Serena were very compassionate, understanding and very organized. All our requests were accommodated. We were given the privacy when needed and above all we felt a sense of peace having said goodbye undisturbed and on our terms.

Loved our experience at the San Francisco Columbarium. From start to finish, my mother and I were taken cared of by the wonderful team. We felt that my father had an honorable and loving service under their care. Our initial meet and tour with Crystal had us realized that we did not need to look anywhere else. We felt that our needs and concerns were met upon selecting what and how we wanted for my fathers funeral. We had planned his funeral while he was still alive at the advice of hospice. When he did pass, we met with Serena, who helped made final arrangements of selecting the date and completing paperwork. She was present during his cremation as well- a kind and warm presence during our dark and extremely sad time of our lives.During the funeral service, we felt safe despite Covid19. There were hand sanitizers available and everyone wore masks. This was the first time our family physically met since shelter-in-place. We each have people we want to be safe for but came out to see my father one last time. Mom and I really appreciate Brian, Paul and Crystal during the funeral service. They were patient, helpful and very thoughtful. They offered suggestions and guidance when mom and I had no idea what to do.We are still grieving as my father just passed less than a month go. However, we are so grateful and in awe to know that my father was treated with sensitivity and consideration that he was a man and not another business opportunity. My husband knows to have my funeral here when the time comes- I have expressed my wishes.

It is beautiful there- My Dad will be in a lovely place- Both Serena and Brian, the manager, worked out all concerns I initially had. They were calm and caring listeners. My stepmother was treated with grace when she came to see Serena today.

My overall experience at the San Francisco Columbarium has been incredibly positive. The site is beautiful, serene, and peaceful. In particular, Serena Brockman has been amazing - compassionate, understanding, extremely clear in communications, patient, allowing me to take my time, answering innumerable questions with patience and poise. Im very grateful for her support and presence throughout our interactions in this very challenging time.

Crystal was amazing! She helped us every step of the way during a very stressful time. I would definitely recommend her. She’s very genuine and real.

Visiting the Columbarium is super interesting. Its creepy, but kind of beautiful inside. Its interesting to see whose remains are there and what types of trinkets people leave with them. I like that its a place of remembrance and by visiting, even though Im a stranger, Im remembering or honoring those people. Its a great stop if you have some time during the day - just hop inside and talk to some of the volunteers there and have a walk around.

This is a beautiful place! My mom chose it for her final resting place and I wish so much she could have been there for her stunningly beautiful memorial service--stained glass windows, roses, fabulous acoustics for singing and music, ample chairs and standing room for overflow of guests, and a separate area for the reception where we had poster boards with photos from moms life, and food and more flowers and the reuniting of family and friends. The funeral director Brian went out of his way to ensure my moms memorial was beautiful, tasteful, and that everything from parking to ushers to coordinating with the caterer went smoothly. And now I have a beautiful setting to visit mom.

Serena was amazing and very helpful during a very difficult time. She has a huge heart and i know my sister was in good hands.

Ive been here twice to photograph memorials as a volunteer, and its been a pleasant experience each time. The front desk lady, Diane, remembered me right away the second time, and has been more than happy to help me each time, even going the extra mile to walk with me to the niche I might be looking for in case I might have troubles finding it. I dont really know -how- to recommend this, but, the experience ought to be enjoyable no matter your reason for visiting!

Oh My Gosh, I dont know where to begin. First, I want to profusely thank the staff, Brian K., Crystal Hoffman, Kristie Coronado, and Emmett for providing excellent care of moms remains during an extra difficult time (just before a 3-day weekend); and taking care of our familys emotional needs during an identification viewing, mom was dressed, makeup applied and polish on her nails. The service was held in their garden on a beautiful warm SF day. The grounds were exquisite as usual. I highly recommend them. I didnt know what to expect, but they took it to the highest level. I was touched by their very personal care of mom & the immediate family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

An architectural gem and fascinating necropolis. The exterior elevation is deceptive and once inside, youll find a surprising number of levels to explore. This building is the only remnant of the Odd Fellows Cemetery which once covered 27 acres here along Geary Boulevard.

Crystal was kind, compassionate and provided a clear and thorough explanation of the available services.

Definitely worth a look inside. One of SFs prettiest buildings, tucked away on quiet back street.

I filled in the request for information form for information about purchasing cremation services with this company and sent it in. I got a response from the company that said someone would contact me soon. 10 days have gone by and I havent heard a word from them. I called their 24/7 line, first got a machine with recorded messages, then got put on hold for a long time, and then an answering service came on and offered to take a message but she couldnt tell me when the call would be returned. I said, No thanks and decided to go with another company. If it was this difficult just to get information I can imagine what would happen if my family was trying to contact them in the case of my death. Very poor organization and customer service.

Extremely caring and professional staff, and a beautiful final resting place for a loved one.

This place is nice inside but its very creepy (and feels almost inappropriate) to visit. Wouldnt recommend it as a tourist spot.
