Great rates and easy booking. Got a van for same rate as others were renting small cars. Haven’t picked up the car yet, so I can’t give 5 stars. I called & verified reservation with car rental company (Wisecars is 3rd party broker), so I’m feeling pretty good about it. Looking forward to our trip.Update: everything went well & we had a very nice Caravan with leather seats. When we picked up the car, there was a huge line. We were worried we may not get a big enough car, but thrifty saved our van so I’m totally satisfied!
I checked out 5 independent rental car websites that were NOT big chain rental agencies. Wisecars was the least expensive AND allowed me to pick up the rental car at the airport. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that I question the Chinese in my confirmation email. Makes me wonder if the company is legit. Ill find out when the day comes to pick up my car....
I was skeptical to use this company as I usually book direct. However, there was a huge difference in price to rent a suburban for the weekend so I went with it. The experience was seamless. We paid in advance and had email updates leading up to our travel weekend. Two days before, we received the voucher telling us our vehicle would be at Thrifty. Once we arrived at the airport, we showed them the paperwork and that was it. Again, big savings and great experience.
Wisecars is one of MY top car search engines. It appears they are offering multiple reservations options where folks are comfortable with reserving their cars via their platform. To try them is to be open to new cost savings opportunities!
If I could give zero stars I would. Went to Thrifty and had a debit card which on the website it stated that was sufficient. Was not able to obtain the the car without a credit card on me. Company would not switch the rental into a different name with the person I was traveling with who had a credit card on them. Customer service told me that Thrifty would keep my $340 because Wisecars would have to pay them since they considered it a “no show.” I called Thrifty and they canceled it on their end and they told me I could get my money back. So the company lied and falsely advertises. I would not recommend doing business with them. They kept my $340 and I never got the rental car. Customer service had an attitude like they didn’t care and definitely didn’t care I was stuck in a different city without the transportation I paid for. Asked to speak to anyone else and he claimed he was the only person available.
They had the best rates, by far, of any other car rental competitors. We havent picked up the vehicle yet so I cannot yet comment on the entire experience, but the rates have been very good. Booking process was incredibly easy.

Not yet sure about this deal yet. They seem to offer reasonable prices, but will not tell you which company you are renting with, so right now I have no clue where to pick up my car. They promised to let me know 2 days before the rental - lets see...

We are using wisecars for the first time as we plan our trip. The service has been excellent. The website is easy to use and prices are unbeatable. Unfortunately our trip was delayed due to a recent hurricane. We called and spoke with a customer service representative who quickly rescheduled our pick up/drop off dates. This made the rest of our (re)planning that much less stressful.
Terrible Experience. They took my money and then send the fine print later. To their defense, they can say they sent the fine print, but I did not read it as who ever really does? The car was rented in my wifes name, the voucher was in her name, the receipts were in her name, and all was supposed to be good. Two days before your trip they send you the rental car information and who it is with. Thrifty refused the contract with Wisecars at the airport counter as my wife did not have the credit card I used to rent it with. However, Thrifty simply rented the same car, at a much higher price, and they went on their business. Wisecars REFUSES to refund my money even though Thrifty has stated Wisecars was never charged for the rental as WE paid for it in person at the counter because of the booking error. No harm, other than the additional $249 we had to pay. Wisecars was never charged by Thrifty, BUT STEALS your money and hides behind fine print and keeps making excuses. I am currently having to dispute with my credit card company. NEVER AGAIN Wisecars. Do the right thing.
Unfortunately no possibility to give zero stars rating.We booked via Wisecars and made a prepayment. A couple of days later we received a message that the car that we paid for was not available and the offered an alternative, which was much more expensive and a lower car category. Basically what they do is that they put cars on their website that are actually not available. I find it unbelievable that they are selling something that they dont actually have. And the alternative offered is much more expensive and lower category. Effectively you dont take any responsibility for the service they provide. Very disappointing.

We rented a car from Wisecars in July with no issues. Front desk lady at Budget wasnt my favorite but not wisecars fault. Just rented another car for Hawaii trip and best prices by far. Easy interface and purchased within minutes, confirmation emails received, works like a charm.

First time using Wisecars and already received my voucher the same night! Quick and easy! Fast customer service response time as well. I haven’t picked up the car yet so the process isn’t complete, that’s why it’s a 4/5 right now.UPDATE: had to cancel my reservation and refund takes 14 days they said. That’s a long time compared to other companies! Think they just want to hold your money a little longer…
Using Wisecars I was able to get an SUV in Vancouver at a very good rate. The booking process was very straight forward and quick. Follow up emails from Wisecars explained what would happen next. So far so good.
I found the overall booking process very simple! They also gave me a much better price than the vendors at the airport directly offered. The convenience of the app also simplified things. I will continue to use them in the future!

Found Wisecars via a Skyscanner search, and they definitely had the best prices of any other rental companies in the area, and allowed the option to select in-terminal as well. The booking process was very smooth. It does require a full deposit at the time of booking, and the website calls our free cancellation 48 hours prior to pick up time. They actually hold a 15% fee for the free- cancellation if you dont pay extra for it, just a heads up there
Trying Wisecars for the first time this month. So far, so good. Customer Service has been very responsive to my inquiries. Renee has gone out of his way to follow up with Hertz on changing my pick up time due to airline flight change. Hope the rest of the rental process proves to be as efficient!

UPDATE: A representative from the company reached out to me via email, and they explained that they investigated the situation further, and are working on making sure nothing like that happens again to me or any other customer. The woman who reached out to me was very polite and concise, and she issued a refund and offered an apology. The situation itself was a nightmare, but their representative handled it very well, which I appreciate a lot. I’ll leave my initial review down below just so it can help somebody else to potentially avoid the same issue that I had.I booked a same day car rental with Wisecars, and they didn’t give me a link to their terms and conditions until they took the money from my account. I was denied a car at the rental place because I don’t own a credit card (which Wisecars only mentioned might happen after taking my money). They then refused to refund me because I didn’t contact them 48 hours before my booking. I explained that I booked earlier that day and couldn’t have cancelled 48 hours before my booking, and he said I was at fault and I was naive and unwilling to accept that I was in the wrong. I’m all for owning up to my mistakes, but there was no way for me to know that I would be denied a car by the rental company until I got there for my pick up. The man I spoke to on the phone wasn’t from the US and was so rude and unwilling to help me.
My wife and I were renting a car in Portland ME. Wisecars sent our voucher promptly and we were all set to go, but a tropical storm (Henri) was coming up the east coast and we needed to cancel our trip. Wisecars extended our cancellation window and we were able to get a full refund. 5 stars for the customer service and flexibility!
As usual, Wisecars were the cheapest quote I could find for car hire for my forthcoming trip to Italy. Have also found this to be the case previously in France and Spain. The website is very easy to use. Only niggle is that I was quoted a higher price initially when I used my phone to search. Same search on my laptop was half the price!

I rented through Wisecars in Aug of 2020 and they never paid Thrifty for the rental voucher. I didnt know this, so when I was then billed by Thrifty, I fought it because I know I had already paid it. Now Thrifty is sending it through collections BECAUSE WISECARS DID NOT HONOR THE PREPAID VOUCHER and stiffed Thrifty (KEEPING MY MONEY). When I call the phone number for WISECARS, all I get is a busy signal (are they disconnected)??? So, now I am out $200 additional dollars PLUS all of the time and frustration of trying to figure out what was going. It appears that THEY STOLE MY MONEY and so I WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH WISECARS AGAIN and would recommend you save yourself the headache and book directly with the rental company.

I have been renting cars for the last 30 years but with wise car that was kind of an experience I never want make againFirst they didnt get that place of return was different.Second they send me an email telling me europcar was my car rentalThird: there was no europcar to be found im the airport.Forth: It turned out to be FoxFifth: We looked at the airport and were list. Luckily found Fox by chance.Sisth: They told us we could give back the car where we wanted to but we would have to pay 80 dollars extra.Seventh: there was no Fox at the airport to return the car!By chance we found a shuttle bus with Fox on it who showed us the way to the Fox rental quite away from the airport.A story hard to believe.Never ever wisecar again.fromthe airport

I paid for my booking in advance through wisecars.com. I rented with Sixt. My booking stated that it included insurance coverage and I didnt owe anything on the day of pick up. When I arrived at Sixt, I was told that my rate did not include any insurance and that I had to pay Sixt directly and request a refund from wisecars.com. 1 month later and Im still dealing with this situation ... dont book with wisecars!
After browsing and comparing a few car rental site including brokers, I guess Wisecars Car Rental has the most affordable rate of all. I dont know how they do it but definitely a good deal. Their website is easy to navigate and they will send you a few email instruction and the voucher that you are going to use. I still have to check how my transaction with the car rental supplier that they have given me will go.

I recently booked with Wisecars because they have the best price for what I was looking for. I don’t buy their $14 cancellation insurance because I didn’t think I would need it. Well, I was wrong. With the surge of the Delta variance, I’m getting nervous not just for myself but for my family and may need to consider cancelling my trip-that would cost me 15% cancellation fee of $135!! I called in and spoke to Rene who was very helpful and offered to avoid this cost. Would book with them again for sure!
Was reviewing offers for a car rental. Found a price that I liked and wanted to read the fine detail. My computer got hung up and I refreshed it. What I didnt notice until I booked was that the times of the rental changed. I called the company and they arranged for a cancellation since the rental prices for the days and hours I wanted was beyond my budget, but it would take a few days. In the following few days, since prices fluctuate, I found a rental with Wisecars within my budget. I called them and they arranged for the previous booking to be credited to the new rental. Didnt have to tie up more money while waiting for a credit to go through. Long story short, their customer service was there for me until I had the right booking. If you have ever had an issue online you can appreciate what good customer service relations are worth.
I recommend Wisecars as it is very easy to use and quick confirmation, the price is very competitive as well.

The representative from Wise Cars just cancelled our reservation immediately without asking for any clarification, and then when we told him of the error he would not give our reservation back to us, and tried to reserve another vehicle for us at a higher price. Poor communication on Wise Cars part and poor customer service. I wont be using them again.
They take your money, send a reservation confirmation, which is lacking any details and there is no way to figure out the details until they send you voucher 48 hours before car pick-up, when its too late. They deal with shoddy rental companies and when you have any troubles when picking up the car, they will leave you out to dry. Dealt with other brokers before with much better experience, wont use this one again...
This company is a scam. Be aware!!!! You have no control over the rental. Book directly with the rental company!!!! Flight got changed and now they refuse to rent the car or give the money back. We paid for a week rental. They keep pushing the blame to the rental company and rental blames WISE

I booked a car with this company thinking it’s a safe reservation and due our plans changed I had to cancel the day after. Beware of their smart way of ripping off people. The 30$ protection plan you buy is not refundable and it’s not clearly shown when you book. You have to dig for it to find it. So no matter when you decide to cancel. even a minute after you booked, you lose the 30$ . No service is provided for that money and this is how they rip you off taking money with zero service provided. Easy money on their part. Just wanted to give a heads up to other people before they make my mistake.PS: FYI for everyone who wants to rent a car from this company. Taking the money from your account takes a day and if you need a refund, it takes 14 days to give your money back. Be Advised !!!Reply: Mentioning something doesnt change the fact that this is stealing. No service equals to no charge. Simple.

I went through a search engine to rent a vehicle. The Search linked me to Wisecars. I am very happy with Wisecars, not only was my rental cheaper, but they are based out of San Francisco. The process was extremely easy and only took a few minutes.A few days prior, I attempted to rent a vehicle from another company that happened to be overseas. Needless to say it was a disaster. I throughly recommend Wisecars.
They advertise that you would get a Mazda 3 or equivalent car for the price they quoted. You get to the car rental place and of course they dont have that car but offer a Hyundai Accent which I do not consider an equivalent car so I had to of course upgrade the car at $29 per day plus fees. They respond slowly to requests for changing pickup and dropoff time. Will never use this company again because of their bait and switch tactics and the additional expenses you need to pay to get a decent car..
The website is quite nice but they need a review step where important details are made clear (the pickup time and location on a map).They do show a great screen with all key info after you have booked.
My family and I had to wait for 3+ hours, and we are still over 100 people behind the counter, to pick up our car rental. Because of this excessive delay, we lost not only $100+ for the museum tickets/reservations, but a priceless experience I should have had with my 4 1/2 year old son, learning about dinosaurs. Extremely disappointed!!!!
Very responsive to any emails and questions that I had. I was able to use the initial deposit from a car booked for 2020 that we had to move to 2021. All conditions are visible and are clearly laid out. Very easy site to navigate with a good selection of companies and cars to choose from.
I have not used this service before. The car rental was a good price, but I am not allowed to know the rental agency until closer to the pick up date. Im guessing they kind of play the market and the service doesnt know themselves who they will use either. I am now being asked to write a review in order to ensure the ability to cancel the reservation if needed. I have not yet picked up the car.
Gave greatt price on a nice car. Due to some personal reasons, we had to cancel and they made free cancellation easy for us and convenient. Next time when we rent a car will definitely book through them only and refer to others.

I got the best deal available (I spend quite some time at different resources), the car that I wanted, and the whole thing was simple and straightforward. The app helps a lot, too!

Not sure what to expect yet. I used Wisecars and booked like any other site, though they said I would get a voucher within 48 hours of travel to use at the pickup location. Well, I travel in less than 24 hours and I still dont have a voucher. I have the paid receipt and I have the booking confirmation email, so I think that should work. Id be happy to give a better review if there was anything about Wisecars I could say was worth a review yet, so far its just like every other booking site except they havent sent the voucher.

Their website is very easy to use and I really like that you see the full price of your rental with no nasty surprises once you get to the payment page! I needed a 7 passenger vehicle for an upcoming leadership retreat and they had by far the best pricing! I will be using them in the future! If there was less than one-star, I would give it to them here. I would NOT recommend anyone to go with Wisecars. The company just handsover the customer experience to the suppliers they work with and the customer is at their mercy. In spite of making a payment through Wisecars well in advance before my rental car pick-up, one of their suppliers Routes, didnt permit me to rent inspite of valid license. Now, I have been running pillar to post to get an update from their support team on my refund status over two weeks now. Inadequate support, lack of transparency and inconsistency on terms and conditions with the company and its suppliers are glaring issues are worth considering before you sign-up with Wisecars.

My complaint is that the car was not available at the time I wanted so the contract was broken and I lost the car hire and my deposit. Very poor customer service!
Had a lot of trouble finding a car for my vacation as most other places said everything was sold out and no cars were available. WiseCars was the only place we could find a car that was available and reasonably priced, AND they let you book worry-free because you can cancel up to 48 hours before pickup time. Definitely will use again.
Booking through Wisecars was easy and affordable! We booked a 10 day rental for the East Coast and we saved over $200 through WIsecars. In addition, I had to call their support team for a couple quick questions and the wait on the phone was only about 2 minutes, very quick compared to other companies. DO NOT RENT FROM WISECARS. They are strictly a middleman. (They dont have any cars.) Yet, when my flight was delayed, and I immediately emailed to let them know, they failed to pass on that information to the rental car company. Their reason: They were closed. Thus, the info did not get to the rental company, I became a no show, and not only lost my car reservation, but 100% of the money I paid Wisecars. Tip: Forget Wisecars. Rent from companies that have cars. Not from middlemen.
Hands down the cheapest deal for the type of vehicle I wanted. Easy to book too. Their customer service was quick to respond to emails. My only con is that their answers to my questions, while adequate, were not very thorough and left me still wondering about some things.
