The Variety Screening Room was an excellent venue with great customer service. From the very beginning, they had prompt responses to all our emails and answered our questions clearly. I was unable to attend the event myself, and so, Ayesha- the event manager was very kind to send me photos with updates. In addition to that, they helped set up, pick up, and display our food trays. The overall venue was intimate, clean, and well organized. The screen was high quality and they had great tech set up with microphone for opening remarks. To top it off, all proceeds go to their charity! We will absolutely work with them again!!!!
Visited there for my wifes birthday but we werent impressed with the comedy.
I suppose its a good thing that they took out the executive chairs and put in ordinary movie theater chairs its a wonderful place for journalists producers to see creative product. I loved my time reviewing movies.
Good comedians! Nice little venue to host them.
Saw a free movie pre-screening here. Interesting space.
Variety - the Childrens Charity of Northern California has a cozy 50 person theater. 3D, Dolby 7.1, and really comfy seats. They rent it out for events...its not a regular movie theater.
Who knew that there wanted a little movie theater tucked into the Hobart building? it is a very cool place to have a small event.
Ive seen a lot of standup comedy and this one really didnt appeal to me. I dont know if its the San Francisco vibe or I just got there on a bad night as over 50% of the jokes were about bad sex or getting off. Only 2 stoned people in the theatre laughed at every joke. They werent relatable and instead put people off and for that I give it 2 stars.
Science Fiction fans know this small venue as the go-to place for Dr Who reruns with drinks and popcorn for a modest donation to this non-profit. If youre going, get there early. Want to know whats happening, get on the mailing list. Located in the historic Hobart Building.
Such a great little event event space! We had a work event there showing Star Wars A New Hope in the original untouched formatting!
Great place for a private screening.
Nice enough lace for stand-up comedy
Awesome place for a private movie session or party.
Good projection and audio.
Ran for the benefit of Variety Childrens Charity
