I just started working for Pacific Living Properties and the support has been amazing!! Jeff, the owner, really cares about people. Employees and resident satisfaction are his # 1 goal!! He wants us to be successful and will take the time to offer his wisdom. He wants the best for department heads so they can motivate and support employees. This tactic helps all employees to focus on caring for the residents. He invests a lot in surveys, so that he can be proactive in taking care of the things that matter to residents!! We strive to offer top of the line experience at Pacific Living Properties!I feel very lucky to be in a company that leads with a heart but still makes intelligent decisions for stability and quality. I have only worked with this company for two months, going to be 3 tomorrow 12/15 woohoo!, but I can personally say that in the short time that I have been here, especially with no experience in this field, Ive grown a lot here. I am truly and whole heartedly blessed to have this company in my life and it has been such a blessing to work with everyone and meet everyone. This statement is true and comes from my heart, If it didnt I would be writing this post now. I have experienced so much with this company when it comes to working here and I can say I absolutely enjoy working with pacific living properties! Everyone has been so kind and helpful and they feel like family. Our residents are our priority and thats how it should be when working in this field. If youre choosing to work in this field, work with a company that values your input, teaches you, and grows with you. All I can say is that this company does all three and more. No exaggeration, just facts! Its better to work and grow with a company that wants to see you succeed and be more than just your title and they want to see you grow and succeed in this company.

This company is absolutely awful. I submitted my application about two weeks ago for an apartment that they manage in Woodland California. However, after realizing we cannot schedule a tour for the apartment and the apartment manager was being not very responsive. We have decided to move on and seek for better housing. However, the manager said that it was been more than 72 hours since I signed the document so they will not be giving me back any of the holding deposits. We all understand that the application fee is not refundable, but from all of the documents that I received after signing the application, theres not a single word that saying theres a 72 hours limit. However, they said back a disclaimer page that shows it has a 72 hours deadline. (See attachment) to be honest you can barely see what it says on the page and at the same time, the manager did not mention that 72 hours deadline. Most importantly, We didnt get a chance to take a look at the apartment, as well as the manager was gone for a few days, so we werent able to get the information from her in a timely manner.I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and If you are looking for an apartment, please avoid this company unless you dont care how shady they are. Totally disappointed and Im planning to file a lawsuit against this company in the small claims court. I know I might have to spend more money in order to get my money back which means that Im getting nothing back. But I cant walk away and let this company take away peoples holding deposit like they are supposed to. If you do a little bit of research it shouldnt be hard to find out how bad the management is. Its all over the Internet. We did found a much more suitable apartment because their customer service has turned us down and because the leasing manager wasnt being so responsible and we havent heard anything for her about our approval process. We have no choice, but to move on because time is not on our side. How can you unlawfully withhold peoples deposit when your leasing management was gone for a few days and she also failed to mention the 72 hours time limit to withdraw, nor the contract that everyone has to sign is being clear enough? As there are so many people who have filed a complaint against pacific living properties for the same matter. We have enough reason to believe pacific living properties have been doing this purposefully for years in order to make more money, which is extremely unethical. The reason why the apartment is being held for two weeks is that the leasing manager who oversees the woodland village apartment was gone for three days. I felt so sorry for the people that have been turned down by Pacific Living Properties due to their terrible management. We have spoken with a couple of tenant law experts and they all said Pacific Living Properties is withholding my deposit unlawfully. As the legal process begins to progress, we are not going to share too many details here, but we will keep on updating this review. We sincerely hope nobody is going to fall into this trap like me, as many people are looking for an apartment in this unusual crazy time. Stealing and take advantage of people who are in need during this pandemic is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. once again we are SHAME on you and your team, Kailey, do better.

I have been here for 9 months now. I can honestly say that at first everything started out fine. But as of now I have been disappointed with the area and the level of safety they provide. The people in office are great but the company itself has to do a better job of providing a more secure, and safe environment. My wife got cursed at and threatened by a neighbor from the same apartment complex without reason. He was high on some type of drug at 6:00am. People loiter outside or building late at night yelling and laughing and drinking or smoking and nothing has been done. Today my car was broken into while it was parked inside the garage. Lost a lot of valuables today. All they can say and do is apologize. Wish they had a better way to keep this area controlled and safe. Seems to be getting worse. I will not be renewing my lease here. If you care about you family, stay away from this place. Also I think they have been owned by 3 different companies now. They just got bought by harbor group living. Maybe things will change or maybe get worse. I’m not risking it. I’m out.I am editing this on June 4, 2020This review was specifically for the Heights Of Grand Terrace which was managed by Pacific Living Properties. I know there aren’t many perfect apartment complex’s but I have to express how disappointed I was in this place. The place was nice but the way it was managed was horrible. It’s hard to enjoy a nice place when management does such a poor job at managing. Parking situation sucks, having a garage is pointless since garage doors are kept open even after the fact my car was broken into, the gate never functions right,(another useless feature they have is a gate that doesn’t work). All in all it just seems like they play things by ear. They learn as they go but by the time they think they got it right it’s already too late. Hopefully things are better under new owners. Maybe they should also consider a whole new management team. Grand Terrace seems like such a lovely small city, I wish I had a better experience while I stayed there.

I still stay at the property. I want to give a honest view. The apartment is lovely the amenities are great for working people or couples or families. The maintenance crew and the cleaning lady are all wonderful. The old maintenance guy I want to say his name is Eddie was always professional and provided assistance. So if your reading this you will ask why one star if its positive or good things. Well the NEW MANAGER JENNIFER. She is in the wrong line of work. SHE SHOULD WORK AT A ANIMAL FUNERAL HOME. SHE Lacks CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL. The previous manager Joe was always professional got things done and he was helpful. The new manager has a golden spoon in her mouth cause a friend referred her to the job. She is rude and extremely unprofessional. I did speak to somebody who said she was the district manager her name was Aubrey she never got back with me about her findings or anything regarding Jennifer never received an apology or anything. I dont understand how a on site manager can lack the core skills to keep apartment complex running a float. Every manager should know that they are here to do a job for 8 hours for the tenants this is our home we live here we come here after work. It will be greatly appreciated if customer service was mandatory for all on site managers lets be real without the tenants it wouldnt be a need for on-site managers. And we (teanants) will be the first one to referral someone to the complex. Also they will give a email address that all employees have access to read or delete. We work to live here. JENNIFER WORKS HERE TO GO LEAVE OFF SITE. THINK ABOUT THAT. We are the customers. We deserve to be able to report issue without dealing with unprofessional behavior or feeling like if we have a maintenance issue we are going be on trial for it.

This company took over management of my complex about a month ago, and Ive already had more issues with them in that time than I had with the previous managers in almost two years. Theyre hiking up rent almost $700 for the next leasing period and have attempted to get us to sign something changing our current lease. The apartment listings for our complex contain statements that are extremely exaggerated and, at times, false. They claim that our complex has free printing and an outdoor game area, for example, but these things are located at other complexes in the area managed by PLP and are not on site. Theyve also listed that we have large kitchens and covered parking, which we do not. The whole transition has been sketchy and I wouldnt trust them at all.

Pacific Living Properties (PLP) has been an amazing company to work for. They took a chance on me with little experiancd in the industry, trained me, and continue to constantly coach and mold me. The CEO has been on record saying Apartments are just boxes, its the people inside that matter. They are HORRIBLE they allowed the roofing company to leave the roof open over night; there was some freak rain in June causing me and my family to have to spend so much extra money living out of a hotel. They used our electricity to run the machines that dried out the unit and it caused the bill to go sky high. As a result of all this the rent gets paid a little late each month. They have the nerve to keep sending the account to legal and charging extra money. The company won’t respond to emails when I try to inform them of what’s going on. They still refuse to compensate for the money they cost us, just plain horrid!!

YOU DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.As the management company, Pacific Living Properties is terrible. No one has any clue as to who is in charge, nor can they provide correct information when they do communicate.- Dishwasher down for two months.- Phone calls into the management company went ignored for a week. Voicemail was full because the current manager left the company.- After he left, and the phone was FINALLY re-routed, they went to a property that is no longer run by Pacific Living.- Outdoor locks were to be replaced, for safety reasons, but never were.- Maintenance entered the apartment without notice, or even knocking. Complained that to the manager--he said he would speak to him.- Tub still needs resurfacing after having been replaced in Feb. Began complaining within a week and still not fixed nine months later. Pictures were even taken by the new maintenance man, but nothing.UPDATE: 23 Feb- They lost our maintenance key some time before Dec, so that had to be replaced.- Totally ignored another maintenance request in Jan, then lied about contacting me.- I spoke to someone at PLP two weeks ago, despite my better judgement, and havent heard from anyone since.- There is yet another new property manager.+Tub got resurfaced.Quite frankly, they are not worth the trouble.

Absolutely horrible. I had to deal with a woman named Mary Cobley and she had no idea what she was doing. I had a lol over 200 dollars due after moving out. We agreed on doing 2 split payments. What does she do? She takes out the entire thing. Then I have to email her and tell her that thats not what we agreed on. She then returns my money and NEVER TAKES OUT A PAYMENT. I then have to email her AGAIN and ask her why she hasnt taken out the intial payment we talked out. This woman made paying my dues IMPOSSIBLE. Now I have been sent to a collections company that says I owe the same amount as if I never paid! Even though I have all the emails of her incompetence and a recipt saying I paid half of it. Do NOT work with this company. And on top of it all I have asked REPEATEDLY for someone to file a complaint with and she refuses to acknowledge it in our emails. Do not rent or have anything to do with these people. Not worth the headache.

Catalina Pacific Apartments-San DiegoThe WORST apartment community Ive ever experienced. We have called and emailed the office since November regarding mold, a broken heater, the shower goes from scalding hot to freezing cold, the water smells like rotten eggs, black spots that keep appearing on the carpet even after cleaned several times, utilities that were paid by previous tenants followed by a picture of the confirmation and bank statement that still resulted in hundreds of dollars in late fees to us the current tenants, a lost check which was blamed on temporary office staff also resulting in a late fee. Amenities offered dont work. One of the laundry rooms takes pre-loaded cards only however the debit card machine to load it doesnt work...theyve been working on it for 6 months so far...and the other laundry room is coin operated...if you can even get the door to unlock the spin cycle doesnt spin and the dryer doesnt dry sopping wet clothes, I was told to wiggle my key in there. Maintenance men wont show up to confirmed appts to fix these things, youll wait for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon only to receive an Im so embarrassed I dont work weekendsemail the following Monday. Conveniently they were only available when we werent home so when I came home I found a door hanger filled out by the maintenance men that said adjusted cabinet doors and an email that said your work order has been completed I was over joyed, clearly the cabinet doors was my main concern!

Theres was absolutely nothing wrong with any of that. Just her way to show off her power. Now Im getting collection letters for paying damages that never existed. Maintenance does NOT clean up after themselves, so beware of your personal property they ended up having to pay me $350 due to damage to my property and inconveniences.
