Staff has been friendly and issues resolved when needed. However, they have contacted me 4 times over 13 months to pay bills that I was not contractually or even morally obligated to pay. Each time in discusion with the employee they realized they were in error, and apologized. I would hope that a professional company would be able to read contracts or previous correspondence prior to accusing tenants of failure to pay.I understand that giving three stars will actually raise their rating, but they dont deserve below that.

I have lived here for 2 years and not one time have I ever felt so uncomfortable and discriminated towards. The management is horrible here.I have been needing a new refrigerator since Oct of last year. I was told that they would contact me and not once has anyone shown any concerns until now I have place my move out date and now I a text about a new refrigerator being delivered March 25th...Wow...just wow..No one felt the need to explained themselves nor did they show any concerns..very sad they are all rude in that office..just rude..I am so glad that I am leaving.. we moved her the rent was $1450.00 now that we are leaving the rent was listed at $1750.00 for what I do not know.. this place is 740 sq ft.. we moved here there were roaches and a 1yr later the refrigerator motor went plus the handle fell off and I was blamed and instead of fixing it 5 Mos. Later we still have the same exact refrigerator. Not once has management reached out. But they seem to have their nose in every tenants business. Instead of pleasing the one tenants that are hard working and never complain unless neccessary they cater to ones that are always complaining. We are the only Black family in this complex and we feel like we have to walk on egg shells daily. We finally put in our 30 day notice b4 our 2yr were even up. If u plan to move here please think about it first. These complex are not worthe a $1. I just got approved for an amazing Complex and I will never look back. EVER.

Quick to respond to any maintenance requests or questions and have kept the house updated as we live in it (changing the water filters and updating the bathrooms when theres a leak). Great company and fantastic people working here. Amy, Emily, Alyssa, Blair, Nichol and, Anissa are all fantastic people working there!

Unfortunately I cannot give 0 Stars. Most of the Personnel in this management company are rude and try to help you as least as possible. Making wear and tear seem like its your fault. And like most everyone here have said they do tend to mislead people.... UPDATE... 1/23/2020 After communicating with Robin who is the other co-owner. There has been improvements to the property. Possibly more emphatic to peoples situations it was easier to come to some agreements.

They lie and they put on a smile while doing it. Dont let them lure you in with the smile. They are extremely deceptive once they feel you are trusting.Based on their response to me here too, they clearly also don’t keep very good records all around. Not a surprise to me. My review stands. The company is deceptive. They don’t want to resolve anything, it’s just to appear to care.. still part of the scheme.Update to MSs response indicating they dont see any record of our relationship in their system.Clearly you dont keep very good records all around. No surprise to me. My review still stands. Youre deceptive.

Big waste of time. They were offering a property at 529 N Elm for rent in Escondido, I was the first of many people to show up for the viewing and I was under the impression that a credit score of 650 is required, my Transunion score is 645 as of 2/28/2017. They called me in the morning to inform me that I was approved they would require a additional deposit of $1,400.00. So the listing was at 1,400+ the deposit. Which isnt bad of itself for the property and a considerably good deal for Southern California ha. Their logic was to charge me 1400x3 in the amount of deposits to rent this location. So 4,200.00 to move in without utilities.they were willing to split it in half, which was nice. But at the end of day they should have been more upfront about their requirements, instead of trying to conceal and nickle and dime prospective tenants. So in essence I paid them $ 45.00 to do a hard credit inquiry to screw up my FICO score even more. The whole thing was absurd considering I exceeded their income requirements. I would AVOID!!!!! All they care about is fee harvesting before you even sign the paperwork to move in.This location also is poorly kept, weeds and grass growing wildly. Also if you look at Crime Maps, there was a homicide down the street and drugs in the area. Per Escondido PD, not exactly a pristine location ha!

This business is horrible and I recommend you stay clear. The owner is very rude and hostile - always on a power trip. Avoid at all costs unless you want to feel like shes doing you a favor by doing her job. Property management companies are everywhere - no need to put up with a bad attitude.

This review is more of a warning for possible future military members looking to rent through Management Solutions. My situation worked out in the end but I no longer have any trust in this company. The two-stars is because I really loved the apartment and management did leave me alone in the end.I applied for a unit on Iowa St while I was still on deployment (August 2016) and they were really helpful in getting me set up. They started off with a great impression, the on-site landlord (Jeff) is the sweetest guy ever, the front desk receptionist was always polite and overall, I really liked the management staff. Until it came time for me to move. Thats when I met Robin Gunning.I came in during the month of April of 2017 to end my lease with Iowa apts. I had received orders to separate from the military and with my official Separation Orders in hand, I went in to let them know that I would be moving out at the end of the month and needed to break my lease.Robin Gunning stepped in and informed me that my orders do not count because theyre Separation Orders not a Change of Duty Station Orders so if I wanted to break the lease, I would have to pay the fee for it (about 1k, if I remember correctly). I pointed out that on my copy of the orders, it clearly states that the military is sending me back to my home of record and Separation Orders are the same as Change of Duty Station Orders. She gave me some long spiel on how they dont count because I can choose to stay in San Diego and its my choice to move and went on about some what if scenarios. When do what if scenarios really apply to current situations at hand? They certainly didnt apply to me than.I let her know that it wasnt my choice to come to San Diego to begin with. She told me that wasnt any of her business and didnt apply to the situation at hand. I cant recall what she said word-for-word but the message was clear.I informed her that I would speak with the Legal Offices but she didnt seem to think that I was serious.Afterwards, I sent in an email with my official 30 day notice to vacate and Robin Gunning, once again, chimed in. She was now informing me that not only was I still responsible for the fee to break the lease, I was also still responsible for the rent (even after I broke the lease) until they found a new tenant (But not to worry! They usually always find someone fairly quickly!). This part was in the lease but from my limited understanding, only pertains to people who completely abandoned the property and had nothing to do with me whatsoever. When I informed legal what she was telling me, her telling me this is (apparently) illegal and could have gotten her into a lot of trouble.I was able to get a letter from legal that (essentially) told her to back off. Which she did (surprise, surprise). And I even got most of my security deposit returned to me! So no hard feelings.Unfortunately, situations like this happen often to military in regards to apartment management offices. Its hard to believe this was some simple misunderstanding and I find it hard to believe that someone with years of experience in apartment management in a military city as huge as San Diego was unaware that what she was doing was illegal. And I never did get an assigned parking spot :/

So me and my husband were looking for a “cheaper” apartment, we looked here and it seemed ok. The first couple of weeks it was pouring rain and I noticed there was a puddle of water in the bedroom and thought it was because I left the window open but no, it was from the closet because it had a gap between the floor and wall. I called the place about it and a guy came. All he did was take the wood off from the floor and left it there without doing anything. We called them to tell them there was nothing done about the flood, they said it needs to be dry to do something, I don’t understand why they couldn’t say that when they came by. They came by again a couple days after when it was dry. The guy “patched” it up and it seemed fine. A couple weeks later it rained hard again and not only did it start to puddle in the bedroom closet again but also the living room. They said that the reason it’s doing that is because of the “garage”. If they know why it would happen then they should’ve fixed that before even renting it.Another problem was roaches!! I’m a clean person so when we got roaches it surprised me. I called the place to fix it, they said in order for them to do this, I’d have to take all of my pans and everything out of the kitchen. My husband was on deployment at the time so I had to do everything by myself so it sucked. The pest control guy came and did the procedure to get rid of them, a week after I still noticed there was a lot of roaches. I was really frustrated because it didn’t do anything and I emptied the kitchen for nothing. I attempted to call again and tell them that the pest control didn’t work and that they could empty my kitchen for me because I wasn’t about to do that all over again. The lady who I spoke to was extremely rude, she was asking me “well what do you want to do?” I mean I made it pretty obvious what I wanted to happen but she refused to answer and be polite with me so I hung up. I asked to speak to the manager, Robin, which didn’t help. I see a lot of comments about her being rude and I agree 100%. She told me that it was ridiculous how I wanted them to clean for me, blah blah. I had to buy things to kill roaches with with my own money because they were too lazy and rude.Lastly, my husband got deployment orders and I sent them an email about how he has orders and I’m giving our 30 day notice. I was hoesntly really surprised with how they replied, they just asked for a copy of his orders and said ok. Buuuttt then they started to say dumb things like “You’re still going to have to pay for breaking the lease, if it isn’t rented out right after you move then you’ll have to keep paying” so I got really upset and told them um no that’s not how it works. Military orders are military orders, legally anyone who has orders is allowed to break any lease if they give a 30 day notice. So they hired a new guy who does the tours and takes pictures of the apartments to put up for rent and he came over to do that, he was really rude and ridiculous. He was telling us that stuff about having to pay for everything even though we have orders. I got upset and started telling him he’s wrong, he got really butt hurt and said “you don’t have to give an attitude about it, you can tell me nicely” sorry but being charged for something you should’nt be charged for will make anyone upset and get angry. He left and then came back like 10 minutes later and apologized because he was wrong of course and told us we’re ok because we gave a 30 day notice. But what made me laugh so hard about this guy was when he would show our apartment to other people interested and tell them the place was 1,000 square feet. Come on, it’s a super tiny apartment. You shouldn’t lie to people just because you’re desperate for a tenant. The place was a max of 620 square feet MAYBE a little more but nothing passed 650. For him to lie is just insane, if you’re going to give a tour, be prepared for questions and tell the truth. So believe these reviews when we say they are horrible to military. Wish this app had a Zero Star choice!

They worked with me from the begining of my lease extremely honest and fair. They always offered maintainence on my apartment but nothing was ever wrong. Also had a bi weekly cleaning service that was apart of my rent! The guy that did the cleaning was VERY honest and I never had a problem with anything missing. They are straight forward and great with getting right back with you about problems issues and maintainence. Spent a year at the property and no regrets!

I had a pleasent expirience with the Ladies at Management Solutions, they were able to find me the home I was looking for and at my price point to rent. It is very hard to do so here in San Diego. I also appreciate that they are always avalible if I need them for Maintenance or other questions. Thanks again for all the hard work!

When we arrived to move in to our unit the unit was not ready. In fact, the contractors/maintenance had stored a leather chair we purchased from previous tenants in the stairwell and stored materials on top of it. After being there a couple months they had plumbers come through and install all new piping which was nice but the attention to detail when restoring property to previous condition was subpar in my opinion. The patching was ok but never came back for second coat of paint. THEN being a pregnant single mother, going through a bad divorce, two weeks after I came home from the hospital with my baby they called and told me that I needed to come to a solution to my “overoccupancy issue”. Prior to new baby, it was myself with an 8 year old and another lady with her two year old...this put us up to 5 with the newborn in a two story two bedroom towndhome. Two single moms. During our discussion, Robin led me to believe that this was grounds to be evicted. I asked her directly and she answered in a way to lead me to believe that I would be and then when I told my roommate and she confronted her, she called me back and denied saying/doing that. Absolutely HEARTLESS people let me tell you.
