Rose was so helpful and kind and professional, i showed up before they opened and she still let me in and did my nails. i paid 32$ for a full almond set w gel polish. she was extremely attentive and was gracious about my very short bitten nails

Ive been going to this nail shop for years, Kathy is #1 with the eyebrow sculpting, and then Bee, Wendy, and Tina are #1 in pedicure and nails! Always doing the absolute best. I travel from mission valley etc just to get to them. Highly recommend. Especially if your tight on cash. Who doesnt want a great job done on them for an affordable and fair price.

I was satisfied with my nails. I was on a low budget and I wanted to fix my nails so for 15 dollars it was super good, of course there are different prices. And Wendy is super fast amd nice. However i dont understand why they make you pay before. Wish my nails would have been more shinny but for the price is good.

Bad attendance! Bad polish nail! Bad place so dirty! She pulled, she literally pulled my acrylic nail out with her own nails! It hurts so bad! She made me paid $29 for a gel nail! THE WORST PLACE EVER !!!!

Kathy the owner is extremely rude!!!! Does not have a clue how to treat customers! Cant stand her at all !! I went to this place just because Tina was there, she did an amazing job, she no longer works there Im sooooo happy for her! I will never be going back to see Kathys face! Employees are not friendly at all, this place is horrible!

As long as you know how this salon works beforehand, you will definitely have a pleasant experience. First things first: THEY ARE CASH ONLY and they clearly state it on the front desk which is visible upon entry. Second: you have to pay first, thats just their practice. Now as for the experience, on all three occasions that Ive went here, I was a walk in and they always managed to get me in within ten minutes or less (two out of the three times immediately after I signed in and paid). They have soooooo many gorgeous colors to choose from for their gel manicures!!! I just get a paintjob with no extensions, so the technician usually has me in and out of there in a little over fifteen minutes with beautifully done hands. All in all, I will continue to keep having my nails painted at this shop as Im familiar with the prices, their practices and their color selection--all of which I like ♡♡♡♡

This was my first time going to this shop, we only went because of a tight schedule and my daughter really needed a full set and toenail polish change, so we went for the convenience. My two daughters and I get our nails done regularly and are familiar with how the pricing works. First thing I noticed was the atmosphere was not welcoming, not the condition of the shop but the workers. The feel that they are talking about people because they are only speaking in their own language and looking at you strangely. We had to pay in advance $38. My daughter wanted three different colors but the lady said she could only get two different colors or pay extra. So she settled for two colors, then two of her nails she wanted just the tips painted instead of full nail, we were told that would cost extra....really???!, cost more to paint less nail....I dont think so. So we paid in advance and couldnt get what she wanted. We Will NEVER go back there ever, they lost 3 regular potential customers! I will always make time to go to our regular shop Vans on Broadway in Lemon Grove!

Wow!!! They are so rude. I called to get information regarding the different services they offer but she didnt even give me a chance to ask her what I was looking for specifically. She just said Okay you can come now click! She just hung up on me. I wont even bother going with that type of customer service.

This establishment CLEARLY has the prices as soon as you walk in no need to ask for them if im not mistaken there is a SIGN clearly states CASH ONLY and also another sign states pay first. English is clearly not their first language these ladies are doing their best. Ive been going for roughly 3 years and have gained their trust where I can pay after my work is done :) Have to consider they have had their establishment vandalized before their not in the best area you cannot blame them as to why they require you to pay first PLEASE DONT MAKE IT A RACE ISSUE ladies use your common sense and just think a little and figure out why a business runs the way it does

You don t need to knowEnglish to be nice, courteous and professional. They need understand at least that!, And start treating customers with courtesy, respect and professionalism.

The times I have gotten my nails done has not been a great experience. They charge too much and leave messed up nails. Always side ways or what not. Ive gone to places where its much cheaper and with good nails. Although they are not so good at nails. Mary who does eye brows is great. I have gotten my eye brows done by Kathy and she leaves them off shape. Mary does a great job I love how she does my eye brows I always go to her.(:

They will take you even when you come in 30 minutes before closing. You never have to wait long and service is very efficient. You can be in & out in less than 30 minutes. Prices are reasonable. I have been going there for years.

I liked that the prices were clear but she still intentionally overcharged me. I understand we all have bad days... but I shouldn’t have to pAy for the result of it. Geez, so nice, I thought I had found my new favorite. I did not. Every nail was a different size, all uneven...and the color on my hands didn’t even match my toes.... after I pointed it out twice the lady pretended she didn’t understand. Oh she understood alright!! And then when I politely and quietly made the manager aware I was unhappy she quickly disappeared and the rest all pretended not to know. I don’t treat myself very often and it sucks to walk out and want to go elsewhere to get them fixed except you already spent your budget at a place that clearly has no intention of making their customers happy. And pretending not to understand English just to avoid feedback is just insane. Shame on you!!

Very poor service. Not only have i been treated poorly myself but my mother went and was refused to do her toes on the pedicure machine due to being over weight! Unbelievable! Never will i ever go or my mother. She has health conditions and their treatment put her in a bad place for her health. Do not recommend this place at all!

Make you wait over 30 to 45 minutes for person, and when they realize its getting close to closing and you have long nails they want to tell you that they cant do them or be charged extra extra money to make you not want to get your nails done. And then even have the nursery for you down the street to get your nails done after sitting there at least 45 minutes. Bad customer service. Then they will talk their language to other now personnel and definitely you feel like theyre talking about you and then theyre looking at you and laughing not very professional.

3 out of 5 stars. This is decent place I like the location somewhat decent prices. I have real nails long too. So I dont need fake nails so I just get the French Mani pedi and of course people think its fake especially after having it painted that. But it was $23 each so almost $50 and I dont think thats worth it for polish I just dont feel like doing my own nails which Ive done. Just wanted the pamper experience. So I can only imagine the fake nail prices which I did ask and its soooo hard to communicate with foreigners sounded like she said $46 Im like just for the hands ridiculous. The pricing on window sounds cheap so thats why I went. Anyhow why two less stars from five is because Im getting both done right and they said you want same time I said sure and so I sit down at the finger station and I thought I was gonna sit at the spa chair and them bring over the nail stuff as I had at other nail shops do that and I said um I wanted the chair or I thought thats what automatically comes with it she said ok than we do one at a time and its $6 more Im like uhh doesnt it come with it. Where does it say $6 more. Im getting gel toe nails so already paying more. I said fine. Than when Im down with my hands I go over to the feet station Im like you want the $6 now she said oh its $1 more. Oh and not to mention usually you pay after your service and when I first walked in I had a $100 bill (only bill I had) and I set it on counter to sign in didnt know you had to sign in and she just takes my $100 and starts paying for it. Im like wait a minute I didnt hand it to you,you just smell money and grab it. What if I changed my mind. Anyhow back to the toe nails so that is very inconsistent and suspicious saying itll be $6 more than now only $1 more when I dont feel I had to pay at all it shouldve came with it. The stereotype of foreigners is true they money hungry they act how they do in their country they dont have manners and decency and consistency. However only Vietnamese do nails. So forced to go to them lol. Anyhow when all is done she said better right I say yeah like she did sumthin immaculate didnt even give the massage that they suppose to do when doing feet I got my hand massage but not my feet, I say ok thanx bye and she just looks forward with a grin and like yeah. Im like she was rude from beginning. And I can tell she upset cuz I didnt tip first of all Im already paying a high price for the service that is your job you dont need a tip. Tipping is based on customers choice. In everything it isnt mandatory. And I damn sure am not tipping to someone with stand offish personality from beginning. Lisa whom I happened to get her name cuz I care for nice people which I know 100% isnt her name itll be sumthin vietnamesey but they always change it when they on USA lol anyhow she was sweet. The other lady whom I didnt get name wasnt. Im sure when youll go youll know exactly who it is. She was the quiet one anyway didnt conversate really with the other coworkers. And of course in their language which sounds like chickens. It can get annoying. Oh and one more thing of why the lower stars is because I came with my sister last time and the owner who I know was owner cuz her face is on wall lol again fake American name Kathy was getting her nails done right in front of us customers waiting and there was 4 of us me my sister and two others. Its like bad for business to get your nails done as you have customers waiting I understand that they get bored when theres no flow of customers so they do each others nails but now you had an influx and your not prepared. Like stop and go back to it. You want money right. So me and my sister left Im like its awkward but hey its my money. Im not waiting for you when theres many other nails shops. So this happened prior to this so I clearly came back. And I will again. I like the location and Lisas cool. But next time Ill just get fake nails because I dont think gel nails is gonna last it already chipped and for the price I need it to last.

I will never go here again! I was going regularly til today when the woman who started to do my manicure told me she would not do my pedicure. I asked her why since I paid for a mani & pedi and she said the girls said I was too picky the last time I was there and she said she would finish my manicure and then give me my money back for the pedicure and then the owner told me to go somewhere else for my pedicure. I was not that picky the only thing I requested last time is for them to make sure they painted my whole nail since sometimes they overlook painting the sides of my nail. I feel that was so unfair. So I will never go back again because they actually said they were scared to do my nails when actually Im a very nice person.

Very very horrible service. When I went in there I wasn’t greetede and they were understaffed. Then the lady asked me what did I want I said a pink and white fill in a solar fill in. She told me it’ll be $32 I said OK. She said you must pay first I said OK can I have a receipt she replied no Kathy which is the owner is not here I cannot give you a receipt. I asked if I’m paying for a service I Should be able to get a receipt. What kind of business do you run if you can’t get a receipt for something that you paid for. Very unprofessional very rude

Paid $8 for a mens haircut. WAY cheaper than Supercuts. I was surprised at how well it turned out. Wait was a little over what was said, but haircut itself was quick.Will go back :)

This was the worst customer service experience EVER!!! prices were awesome however the techs are racist. I was told to pay first ive never ever had to do that . Tina was rough and kept forcing my hands flat on the table like she was a cop. Everyone else paid after services were rendered except me and a friend because we were black. This nail place was literally the worst. My 3 friends and I decided to go get their nails done @ katheys nail salon. First off as we walked in nobody greeted us in and just asked if we wanted nails but they also rushed us. We dont recall on the name but the lady that did my friends nails was VERY disrespectful to us. As my non vietnamese friend sat down on the chair the lady was already complaining about unnecessary things. I am vietnamese and I was listening on what she was saying and she was being rude and yelling at her own customer for not understanding vietnamese. This lady ALSO did not know how to correctly place the nails onto the finger. She barely glued it on enough to make it stay and she coated the nail once. With a rude tone in her voice she ranted on about how my friend should have understood her directions WHICH WERE STATED IN VIETNAMESE. Disappointed in this place. Never coming back. The nails came off 4 days later. 1 star

Worst customer service by the older lady worker. Her answer was rude and offensive. So its best if you dont ask any questions while she doing your nail or you will regret it. The place was empty, and i know why now. The tech was an older lady with glasses. Had no professional training, cheap product made my wife toe infected few days later. Total waste of time. Never comming back thats for sure.

Dont go here. They make you pay cash, which is fine but if you change your mind or dont like the work they wont give you your money back. Me and a couple friends have gone and they tell all of us a different price. So full set gel nails was 27 but a gelfill is 24?? Then my friend went a full set was 32 and fill was 25 other friend went and full set was 28 and fill was 22. Im going to report them to the bbb. They dont sanitize the utensils, are rough and insensitive to your needs they rush you to pick a color and never want to give pedicures in the massage chair. They try hard to convince you to do the $10 bubble box sitting in regular chair. The only good one is Wendy and everybody else sucks. Nails lift bail Polish is half ass. No thank you.BBB

They were so rude. I never do reviews, and I would never say anything negative about any shop but it seriously was a horrible experience. It was the first time I got to spoil my mom, and she got a bad experience. They laugh at you, and treat you like you are less. My mom brought her own nail polish and the lady that assisted her told her she can’t do that. I was very sad with they’re service.

HORRIBLE service. One of the ladies was VERY rough with me and when she cleaned the cuticles off my toes, she made me bleed ALOT and went on as if it were nothing. The massage wasnt even a massage, the lady just put lotion on top of my feet and them wiped it with a towel. It took them from start to finish about 5-10 minutes verses 30-40 minutes at another place I go to. NEVER going back!

They charge too much, the costumer service is HORRIBLE/ TERRIBLE theyre so rude! They scream at you, they dont give you what you want, they left my friend waiting half way done to do someone elses eyebrows (3 times!) and took way more time to finish her nails, this other lady did mine all uneven and super ugly and Im not exaggerating, Im usually not the type of costumer that would complain, i would just pay and leave and never come back, but my experience there today was just awful! To the point where i started crying because i felt so humiliated by the lady that did my nails ! And Im not a person that cries easily. I went to this place yesterday. I’m sorry but have to say it was full of horrible experiences. I got my hair washed and steamed for $30.First of all, I been going to my regular place for a same price including: hair wash, conditioner, steam, and facial massage. So, I was a little down at that point.Second, she washed my hair in under 5 minuets. After she done, my whole head still feel itched, like they haven’t been washed. Then, she steamed my hair without the conditioner part.After 30 minuets steaming, she washed my hair on the front but not on the back of my hair at all. I can still see all the hair concentrate cream from the back when i touch it.Third, I told her that I’m sick, so if she can blow dry my hair it would be nice. But she didn’t coz’ if she doesn’t that, it won’t be with after the steam.So, after all’s, I’m really upset and disappointed about their services.Never come back here.

The fact they make you pay in advance, is a very clear message that they have trust issues. That only happens in Asian shops. If you go to a regular beautify salons like Jcpenny or Nordstrom, whether its Hair or Nail, they only charge you after the service is done. Also that chitchatting in their native language while glancing at customers back and forth is a very common accurance and very annoying and unprofessional at that:(!

It is not a relaxing environment at all. They start speaking their language all together as soon as they get a client. It makes you feel uncomfortable just to imagine they are talking about you. I respect their language but that is so unprofessional I mean unless they are attending a customer that speaks their same language. And they dont do a clean job. I wont point other stuff to not make this review personal. And I came here based on reviews. :(

Excellent customer service and wonderful nails

AVOID THIS TERRIBLE PLACE!! If I could give minus or negative stars I would!! First off no one paid attention or greeted me as I came in. Then like 5 minutes later a woman comes in after me and then signs in. NO EMPLOYEE told me to sign in. So after that woman I signed in. And then 2 other people came in. 1 actually had an apointment but all 3 were seen before me. I waited about 40 minutes to be finally seen. Then I wanted to show her photos of what I wanted and she said no show later. So when we got started I had to pay her up front!! Like I never done that before but I understand now why. I would have never paid her after my time ahe waste and to only do a crappy job! She was annoyed how I held my hand and shook them multiple times and then keep saying with an irritated attitude to relax and would slap my hands! That should have been my red flag to leave. But she was rough with that rotary buffer and scratched my skin and cuticles. And later was stingy with the acrylic and nail polish. This is isnt the worst part. She then noticed the paint waa still too light and didnt let them have enough time to dry! Worst of all is the gap between my nails and cuticle! when I mentioned it before i left she was annoyed and irritated telling me No I do perfect nail for you, like that ok. I explained that it looks like I need a fill and she said No, like that ok . So i went to the manager or owner and she said No like that is good and better for you because you dont want too close to cuticle. She said In 2 days you get a lift if she put acrylic too close to cuticle . And I still insisted I was not happy or satisfied but she didnt care and left. I had to leave since I had another appointment. But I returned the next morning 5/31 around 11:30am and again went to show them my nails is not good and im not happy about it. And the woman began yelling in her native language and the owner/manager came out and i showed her the paint is not good and the gap between the cuticle is bad. The owner just kept insisting the gap is good and that they will only do the paint. And then I said I just want my money back and to remove the nails. The owner gave me a angry look and said no you dont get money back and you want nail remove than you pay extra . When the owner left the employee yelled at me saying she wont do anything for me and that she is busy with her customer. But the owner even said she should do the paint and acknowledged the bad paint job! I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS low class cheap quality people! Save your time and money and go else where!

I got a full set of acrylic nails and even though they were put on great because they didnt break until i took them off, they were all uneven length and the shape i wanted was almond but i ended up having oval, The pedicures are good also the price was pretty cheap but i will not go back here again

This place is the worst ! The want you to pay first so they can RIP YOU OFF ! First of all I pay for a spa pedicure the lady doesnt turn it on and the proceeds to start scrubbing my feet well I wont say scrub I mean touch my feet with the pumice stone with nothing on it and didnt touch the bottom of me feet at all and talking about she done ! Are you freaking kidding me ! NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY GET A PENNY IF MINE AGAIN ! I then call the owner Kathy and then she hangs up the phone in my face ! TORAL DISRESPECT ! SCREW KATHYS NAILS !
