I LOVE Sunshine Dentistry. Seriously, after almost 7 years going there, I can vouch for the high quality care and work of Dr. Arjamand and his team. It’s a true family-owned business that does what’s best for their patients. They know my name, they always greet me with kindness, and they strive for preventative care to keep you healthy long-term. I have gotten fillings there, routine check-ups, even a night guard. In fact, I kept having jaw pain from an old night guard another Dr made me, turns out it was way to thick. Dr Arjamand made me a thin clear one, my jaw pain went away immediately. Life changing!!They have been very safe with COVID as well, making me take a health survey, wait in my car until ready (but they saw me immediately), extra cleaning the office, double masks on the dental hygienists. I am always happy to go there because I know I’ll be treated well. Now my husband goes there too and is very happy. My insurance changed for a year and I couldn’t go to Sunshine, it was the worst, went to another clinic where no one really cared, treated me like a number. As soon as I could I switched right back. Blanca in the reception, Sheila as an all-around clinic manager, the Dr and his wife who are always friendly and professional. I will keep going to Sunshine year after year and highly recommend them!

The office is not like the regular bland dental office. The candle burning has a home feeling. Comfortable cozy furnishings. The beach decor is very comforting and the rooms are not the standard white or tan. They offer you water, a blanket if you’re cold. They even give you glasses to ward off the intense light and protect you from any flying particles. They put lip balm on my lips while working on me which I have never had at any dentists office. Yes, there’s more! They text me afterwards to see how I was feeling. I recommend Sunshine Dental to anyone looking for a dentist. The staff is friendly and informative. I can honestly say I have no fear of going to the dentist. I wish I had gone sooner!!

I wanted to like this dentist office but I had an awful experience unfortunately. I had a routine cleaning done, they told me I had a cavity which we then proceeded to have filled. That week afterwards I was not able to eat or drink hot or cold liquids due to the sensitivity of the filled tooth so I called back to ask if that was normal; they told me to come in that day so they could inspect at which time they explained they couldnt see anything and tried to sell me a $25 tube of toothpaste they said might help which I refused and sent me home. I followed their advise all the same and I bought the toothpaste they recommended and followed their instructions. 3 more weeks went by and I was still in pain so I called back and they told me to go see a specialist. From my experience they do not do good work and they dont take good care of their patients.

I have neglected my teeth for years because of bad experiences at the dentist, but the moment I walked into sunshine dental, I knew I was in good hands. The office staff was friendly and welcoming. The dentist and his staff didn’t make me feel bad for the diregard for my oral hygiene. Most dentist I’ve been to in the past have tried to get me to get extra cleanings and procedures that weren’t needed, but Dr. Ardjmand was honest and only recommended what was truly needed. There office is open late so it makes scheduling easy. I found parking on the street right out front, but there is also a couple spaces in the alley. Highly recommended!

My experience was incredibly disappointing. Prior to my appointment we talked on the phone. We booked one hour during my work lunch and I specified that I would have to leave at a certain time. They assured me it would be sufficient. I also expressed my concern with fixing my tooth as soon as possible because my insurance would expire within the week. They assured me that it would be handled the same day.I went to the office and I waited for 45 min of the 1 hr I had available in the waiting room. When I was finally called in and X-Rayed, I was told that they wouldnt be able to fix it today neither this week because of their tight schedule. That left me looking for a doctor within 4 days before my insurances expiration date.That was extremely unprofessional on their part. I called western dental on 30th and University and they fixed my tooth the next day. Think twice before you try Sunshine dentistry.

My experience with everyone at the office (dentist and staff) has been wonderful. They are interested in you -- very friendly and sensitive to what you need. Sounds crazy, but I look forward to going every 6 months to the calm, peaceful environment in that cozy little trailer on 30th and El Cajon. During some of the more intensive procedures, Dr. Ardjmand quietly talked me through each step -- and made me feel part of the team. I came to him 10 years ago with lots of work to be done -- filling replacements, a root canal, etc. He repaired my teeth right the first time. I am grateful that my teeth no longer cause me pain -- Thank you Dr. Ardjmand.

Do NOT go to this dentist. First thing Dr. Ardjmand does is try to up sell you to getting fake teeth. (My teeth are very nice and this used car salesman of dentistry still tried.) Then tries to get you to buy braces, which I also didnt need. Finally he gives me the tooth cleaning and a filling repair that I came in for, in addition to two other fillings he said I needed. The tooth cleaning was done so half-a$$ly and quickly, I got a better cleaning when I brushed my teeth before coming... His dental assistant spent less than 2 minutes cleaning my teeth and missed most surfaces.After he did the filings, he never checked my alignment... He was only concerned with rushing through to get to the next pay check, I mean patient. Went back a few weeks later because of my bite alignment being horrible off and cause pain. He very quickly proceeded to take a drill and just quickly grind down ALL of my teeth. I had horrible tooth pain in three of my teeth and needed to find a new dentist to fix my teeth after him. He works more like a factory worker than a medical professional, and his patients pay the price. Avoid him.
