Very rarely am I impressed with any product or services lately, however Soft Touch Dental and Dr. Fakhimis Dental Practice facility is one of the nicest, and most beautiful facilities I have ever been in. I never felt more comfortable during a dental visit, and I really loved every aspect of this visit. From easy courteous booking, text communication, user friendly online patient forms, and an incredibly detail oriented xray and cleaning. I was very respectfully appreciated for my business and time, and was properly notified by the doctor of any issues they believe I need to get addressed or taken care of. I am very grateful I stumbled upon this practice and believe I will always continue to use them for all future dental work and procedures.

This office is extremely pushy when it comes to up-selling you on services. I struggle to trust their word when it comes to your dental health because its apparent that they leverage it in ways to try and get you to spend more money. I have exceptional insurance but they typically will try and find ways to still get me to come out of pocket with cash. I have witnessed this behavior for 2 years, as a patient. Finally, I quit and Ill find a new dentist office. I primarily stayed with this one because they were 5 minutes from my house, but never again.

Soft Touch Dental: They are there when you need them!Late night Thursday I was just chilling out watching a movie when suddenly the loose tooth that I hadnt made an appointment for yet fell out! Totally my fault. I kept putting it off. Meanwhile, I couldnt stop my tongue from flicking it! By doing all the above mentioned, I turned what could have been a simple adjustment into a bit of a challenge for the dentist to correct. It is my good fortune to have Soft Touch Dental as my source for all of my dental needs, desires and requirements! I called them the following morning(Friday) informing them of my situation. Monday morning I was in the chair for reparations! About an hour later, I am walking out the door with my smile intact once again! A special shout out to Reggie. This was my first visit and it was very pleasant. The staff is very intuitive with their patients and procedures. They also have a covid process which made me feel safer. The office environment was really upbeat and I really liked the decorations, it felt very modern. My consultation was very thorough, detailed and to the point. I know exactly whats under the hood and what needs to be done, which I appreciate. Im looking forward to my future visits!Update: Visits are going really good and Im really glad I choose this office as my dentistry. Ive had many offers and went with my gut instincts and choose this one. I love how comfortable and at home I feel when Im there. The front staff is on their A-game and makes the whole office flow. They also notify you in high tech ways so you can make your appointments and not forget. The Doc. has major skills with his techniques that will make you notice the difference. The techs come in right behind to complete the mission really smooth. This is a first class operation and they all have something to offer. Like a precision machine, they make a great team!

This is a great office for dental care and hygiene. I have been coming here for years now and I have experienced such a pleasant time each time I have had to come. Front desk staff is amazing and always so friendly. I used to get anxiety coming to the dentist but the staff here has made it such a smooth visit each time. They are very thorough and explain everything you need done to the last detail. Highly recommend!

They are always sweet and kind when I come in. my last work cost me nearly $7k which was all my savings. I only wish I could afford all the work needed. Everytime I come I have new work needed that I wont ever be able to afford. I would give 5 stars if they were more affordable. I feel depressed everytime I leave there but what can do

Jumping around from many dental offices I finally found one that is perfect. Dr. Ali and staff are nothing but the best. They really treat you like family. I for one am always nervous when it’s time for an appointment and they always find someway to ease my nerves and calm me down. I appreciate that a lot... and am sure there are others just like me that will really appreciate it . I can’t say enough great things about the office, you won’t be disappointed.

Unbelievable!!! I always hope that the dentist I visit is going to be honest about my dental needs without extorting extra money by selling a procedure I dont actually need. 3 years ago, Dr. Ali told me I have 6 cavities. I panicked, because just 6 months before I was told I was good to go and I take good care of my teeth. Rather than get the cavities filled, I decided to get two second opinions, both who shared that I had ZERO cavities. 3 years after being told I had 6 cavities at this dentist, I had no new cavities at a third dentist- just a couple of fillings that had worn down. I dont trust this dentist and dont recommend. Hes a cosmetic dentist first and foremost. If youre there for standard checkup and cleaning, find somewhere else.Edited to add: My reason for visit was a standard routine check-up and cleaning. Why would I contact this place again following the recommendation to fill 6 cavities that aren’t even there? The key phrase from Soft Touch Dental’s response is “However, due to certain types of insurances, coverage can be limited.” A reminder that dental insurance covers necessary treatment. Case in point: this was not necessary treatment. Dr. Ali knew I didn’t actually have 6 cavities but tried to sell his service as though I did. That’s why insurance didn’t cover it. This is a perfect example of upselling and precisely why I had to give a local business a 1-star review.

Soft Touch Dental has been my go to place for years even though I live in Los Angeles. The expertise and compassion of Doc and all the staff is grade A. The office has always been a lovely environment but this was my first time in since the remodel and OMG they hit a grand slam.. It looks utterly AMAZING.!!!! I recommend them wholeheartedly....

Over the years I have been a patient at Soft Touch I have had the best treatment for each of the issues that my teeth have come up with. Bad orthadontics as a child/ teen and hereditary oral problems set me up for pain and misery. The staff has handled each issue with care and compassion and professionalism. I would highly recommend them.

Wrost dentist in San Diego, Sheryl and Haley are rude and bad welcoming. They put me some bad teeth, I lost one and they dont want to help me after. Too expensive. Doctor Ali doesn’t know how to do job right, nun professional at all. I recommend you to go somewhere else than there for sure. Waste of time and money.

I’m always so incredibly nervous doing a dentist visit, but I think I was just having trouble finding the right type of staff. Although I’m still a bit nervous, the people they have working there always go above and beyond to help do what they can to put me at ease each visit. I believe I’ve been going here a little over 10 years now and although I’ve moved out of the Clairemont area I’m still willing to make the drive!

I have had almost all of my dental work replaced by Soft Touch. Dr. Fakimi, his wife Dr. Ali were amazing. They do thorough cleanings and polish my veneers every 6 months. The only thing they pressure me about is taking care of my teeth! Flossing regularly. Not always have I been able to afford to get my dental work up front. So they’ve offered Care Credit. My husband also now gets his dental work done there. They’ve since expanded to Hillcrest. Now, Dr. Ali runs her practice there. It’s a spa/ dental office.I am a very picky person with oral hygiene and dentists. I’ve been to dentists from Western Dental to a posh La Just Dentist that I went to since I had teeth in my head. To Soft Touch to find that they do the best work.

I am impressed with the personalities of the staff, the up-to-date equipment and procedures, and most of all, the prices. Even if I did have plenty of money at my disposal, Id still choose Soft Touch Dental. I expected to wait in line to be seen, then wait weeks for more appointments to get the work done. I was floored that because my drive down from Ramona took over an hour, you were able to complete the process at my very first visit. You all worked over five hours solely on me without taking a break until 7:00 pm. Although I was uncomfortable, I can truthfully say that the time went fast. My problem then was to get home quickly yet safely. I can no longer see well in the dark, on freeways and around the dark Ramona roads. Sheryl offered in all sincerity to drive me home. She wouldnt have returned to her home until close to 10:00 pm. Who wouldnt be impressed? It was completely my fault for not mentioning that. Under the same situation, I would have stayed in a motel. Why didnt I think of that? Soft Touch is now my dentist and Im happy to make referrals. Thank you all,

I went to this dentist in Jan 2018. I was given a hard-sell on $7,000 of work they suggested I needed. They further tried to pressure me into a financing plan so that they could start the work that day, which would have raised the total cost to $12,000 over three years.I found another dentist who recommended a much simpler and less invasive plan, that will only cost me a few hundred.Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dentist.

I had a very nice visit today. One of the assistants got me in faster than I expected. I could tell that they a lot better than my first time. Doctor Ali is and as always very efficient. All of my family goes to his office.

Went in for typical cleaning and small pain on right side. Took xrays, made me wait for and open room (10-minutes). Put in a room, dr came in said there’s nothing wrong with the teeth, however need to replace 4 fillings and get a deep cleaning, he left to get his billing person )waited 25-minutes). Billing came in said I needed fillings and a deep clean, I said I only want the basic cleaning the insurance covers. She said “well they won’t do that without a deep cleaning”. I stated that I don’t have $1200 for a cleaning and just want the basic cleaning, the same thing I said when I made the appointment. She said she had to get the doctor, on the way out I asked the price of fillings, $645 each “after discounts”. The doctor returned stating, “I heard you had more questions”. I replied, “no questions, just want to get the regular cleaning only”. The doctor said well you need the deep cleaning the same one I recommended last year, again I said I can’t afford that and would like to just that the regular cleaning. He said that’s not good enough. I responded “I get that but it’s better than nothing and all I can afford. My daughter had heart surgery in April and I own $10000 for that. I’m not sure if you know what it’s like to live pay check to pay check.” He proceeded to try to justify and sell me on why it was needed, I simply continued to request a regular clean my insurance approves.I give them credit for their ability to sell. However it’s unethical to oversell clients and not perform the regular work clients can afford. Their scare tactics within all clients is embarrassing.

My experience at Soft Touch Dental was nothing less than perfect. With the assistance of his friendly and knowledgeable staff, Dr. Fakhimi successfully provided me with 1 new crown tooth and 8 beautiful veneers. My smile has completely transformed, and people constantly ask where I got my teeth done. I highly recommend seeing Dr. fakhimi. You won’t regret it.

I am glad that I found soft touch dental. I walked in to the office and was taken in with the schedule. On top of that the doctor made me feel so comfortable with the entire procedure. I found a good dental office.

Unethical healthcare practice, at minimum warrants licensing investigation.Examples of unethical practice:1) Uses scare tactics to manipulate patients to do more work than needed, and sometimes totally against health interests. He will make it sound like its an emergency that must be taken care of immediately.2) Will not provide patient records on request in a timely manner. I was told Id be charged $45 per page! Took months before I could get even get some records, but they never sent them all. Which by the way is against the law (to not comply in a timely manner, and to charge high fees for records).3) Poor quality work. 3/4 of my crowns broke within a year. I didnt chip them on anything, they just started to break off. I still have pain every day on the 4 crowns he did. So therere reminders of regret everyday.Examples of poor business service:1) Always late. Each time Ive gone in, I waited 30-70 minutes for my appointment when I have been on time.2) The work that is done takes much longer than any other dentist Ive gone to do similar work. And Ive never experienced so much pain from any dentist visit.3) Always tries to over sell e.g. extra deep cleanings, veneers, whitening4) More expensive than other dentists, trust me, do some shopping around.My long story:The first time I went, he said I needed a deep cleaning. Then he said I needed 4 crowns ($10,000 even after insurance). I did it b/c I fell for his scare tactics. He said I have to do this now or my teeth may break off and would need more expensive work. None of the 4 teeth were bothering me, but I trusted him and did it anyway. And now I still have pain every day on these teeth and its been years.Within a year, 3 of the 4 crowns broke, he fixed them and then said I needed 4 more crowns on other teeth. And two of those are on what they call virgin teeth in the dental industry, teeth that have no cavities or damage. The problem this time was that one of my old fillings fell out that was between my 2 front upper teeth. So I asked why he cant just replace the filling. He said as soon as he drills, those 2 teeth will crumble. So he recommended the additional 4 crowns, also at around $10,000. He said I should stabilize the two front crowns with the adjacent teeth next to them, thats why he should also crown the virgin teeth. After the first 4 crowns from him, I of course wasnt going to do this again. But thats when I realized that I was totally scammed the first time and that he was shamelessly trying to do it again.So I went to Dr. Hasan Daoud at Great Smile Dental to get a second opinion. He said Ali F was using scare tactics to get more business and showed me how he made the pictures of my teeth look worse than it is. And he said crowns should never been done on virgin teeth, nor on any teeth where the problem has not progressed to damage more than half the tooth (which was not the case with all my teeth that Ali F insisted on crowning, they were chipped but not half the tooth, and had no pain). So Dr. Hasan fixed the cavity for $80 (compared to $10,000 quoted by Ali F) without doing any crowns or touching my virgin teeth at all, and its been fine since years later. So if you are looking for a competent cosmetic dentist, go to Dr. Hasan at Balboa down the street. And they are always on time.In conclusion, it is absolutely deplorable that a healthcare professional would use their expertise to manipulate their patients for profit. I looked through his Yelp reviews and contacted many others who went through similar horrible situations. Its absolutely disgusting and shameless! If you experience similar ethical practice concerns, put in a complaint with the CA Dental Association.

Doctor Ali is very good at what he does because he cares about his patients. I had to wait in the waiting room for a while but I fall asleep because of the calm ambiance.

Everyone was caring concerned and made a point to explain any and all procedures before and while they were working on my teeth. 2 Thumbs up
