Total rip off. They advertise a low price then when you actually rent for a week you end up paying double that. There are cheaper options elsewhere when you search for rent a car for rideshare. Found a great spot in chulaVista
Staff is friendly and good at their jobs, cars sometimes not so good usually not real clean when you get one and keep in mind these cars are the ones Hertz no longer uses to rent to the generL public (too many miles or cosmetic problems) I rented one with mechanical problems and it broke down as I was taking a passenger to the airport. Another one had steel showing through on the tires and I wound up with 2 flats at once. The car I have now has over 100,000 miles on it but seems to be in good shape.

Please streamline your processes. Waiting over one hour for a rental car you had a reservation for IS NOT OK. If you see a long line of people, do something proactive! The long line doesn’t mean your business is booming. A long line means your customers are frustrated.
Have gone several times because of Uber rental. Given dirty cars. Personnel uneven. Could say more.
Overcharging people. The rent is $1000 a month plus they charge 20 cents per miles. 20 cents is 30% of what you make. Lyft pays 65 cents per mile if you rent you 45 cents only. Plus they $243 weekly. So if you drive full time you pay $2000+ or drive part time you only will able to cover the rent m. Also they try to charge for anything else because they your bank information. They charge me $56 tolls fees that i already paid. Whats more they cover windshield, Tires, hit and run. My advice think twice before you do this. Too much money. The people works there very nice they do everything to help.
Gilbert and Michael were extremely helpful. They listened to my issue and came up with the right solution for my situation. They really went above and beyond. They definitely keep the customer in mind at San Diego Hertz. I really am so very thankful for the great customer service they both provided. Keep up the great work!!!
Cool people to talk to. They help as much as as possible. Im taking a star off. Makes sure you clean the car after you pick it up. I had soda stains on the dashboard. the cup holder was dirty as well as the vents. they wash the car from the outside only. they 5-10 to clean each car.

Extremely rude guards at the entrance. No parking for anyone who isnt already a Lyft driver with a Lyft vehicle, had to find parking way out on some random road and the walking commute was just ridiculous. Extremely unfair interest rates even with good credit, I dont see how anybody can make a decent living after making the payments on the vehicles.

I had a bad experience with two cars one Ford one Nissan, I dont believe that it was hertz rather than the car makers fault. I then drove a Hyundai Sonata and it was my car for a few months for Lyft until today. Everything was great, customer service from hertz and lyft awesome. It was fun driving and it was also great to use the car for every thing else. Just make sure you are going to put in the time its not easy.

Uhh Hertz staff great Lyft staff not so much. I get a neighbor type feeling from them and the latter I always feel like Im bothering them and on top majority of the time they dont have a clear confident answer. So Hertz 5 Lyft 1.
This is the worst Hertz Rental facility anyone would come across. The number continues to sound busy after a week of trying to contact them. The cars they offer are filthy and you do not even get to choose the car you want. They also tell you the car must be returned cleaned. No one is answering my calls after a week of trying to contact them. The phone is always busy. Very bad atmosphere!
I drove for Lyft for over a year. The express drive location had a major upgrade in that time and they really streamlined the process.
Lyft representative told me. If you dont like the service we provide you, go somewhere else, it s like hes saying GTFOOH. Nice way to do business. He continue on and say thats the American way of doing business. Drivers who rent from this place has the responsibility to maintain the car. Just rented one and the first thing I have to do is take the car to a shop. Another quote from this rep, You get what you pay for at Lyft Express Drive.
I used to get very good service but today January 10 2019. I was ready to get a new car but they told me that I had to be platinum driver to change cars. Please give notice before changing rules.Very disappointed.

The money is very slow to earn more than the weekly required amount of rides. I experienced technical issues due to Lyfts driver app and Ive still been required to pay the full rental rate without the proper opportunity to earn

Called 2 hours but no body answer me. I got massage on my return due day tell me they can not give me new car. They let me go there 2 days later. But the day after due day, they send me massage tell me its pass due and want me return it now.
New rental center accommodations vastly improved. Staff is as courteous and caring as ever.

Over $1000/month for the rental or $245 taken out of your earnings every week. Drivers are expected to pay out of pocket for what should be covered maintanence(ex. flat tire).I think its time for yet another class action suit for all drivers who are sick of being mistreated, recieving undermaintained cars, unfair pay, and little to no communication as far as Lyft/Hertz. The companies are almost impossible to reach by phone so you must come in person and waste time and gas that you dont get reimbursed or credited for. Its unjust and unacceptable. They are crooks when its time to get your security deposit back and start to make stuff up thats not in rental contract. Make sure they dont charge you for extra days and to get a receipt from them. Horrible horrible driver service/support.

I love driving for lyft. The lyft/hertz employees are nice, and helpful to some extent they need a bit in depth training. One of the employees did not close out my contract when i returned the car, proceeded to rent the car to someone else while it was under my name still..so i still got charged for the whole week..(along with the other party getting charged too...can u say fraud...) at least happy to say i got them to reimburse me what was owed...Now on the bad side, They charge wayyy too much for the rental and the rental fees,oh plus you have lyft fees on top of that...puts you in at $235/week....just for the car and lyft fees alone..you got gas to worry about too..which..half the cars suck the gas like crazy. Also, on the subject of the cars...they need work! brakes squeak on the 10 cars ive rented from them. They seem to have a transmission issue too with not shifting right. Just be warned..its not all cracked up to what it seems......-disappointed driver

Horrible. Very bad service. No indoor waiting area if cold or raining. Dirty badly maintained cars. Bad management. The people giving this place a 5 start review are those working for Lyft and Hertz and are absolutely unreliable as a rating.
2 hours 20 minutes for a sticker, ridiculous, no driver priority, waste of time, was not in the cue, 3 people that arrived after me got served first, the guy from Lyft didnt know how to explain my question, just sitting down talking with the other two bozos.

I rented a car for lyft and a little more than a week ago I delivered it and I forgot a cell phone, I reported it at the time and they never returned my call, and it turns out that it was not already, that seems like a robbery and nobody can do anything, apart the two brunettes not to mention blacks who attend there are a garbage, they attend in a bad way, those of lyft the truth are very friendly
