It was a rainy weekend in San Diego, so there were many car choices. EZ Rent-A-Car staff was polite and very helpful. I never used this vendor before and thought the prices were too good to be true. I was very happy and the costs were better than any other company. The return was very easy and we will rent from them again.

Rated a 1 star because there is no option for 0 stars. Worst rental experience ever. No reliable shuttle service to/from airport. Had to call and then wait almost 30 minutes for a shuttle, which was not really a shuttle, but instead a beat up van. Then you go past the airport to a parking lot with a single wide trailer as a rental counter. The employee behind the counter was nice, but that was the highlight of my rental experience. Told me the gas was full and indicated such on the rental paperwork. Just to find out after leaving the parking lot that the gas was just over 1/2 full. Drop off was a cluster. No one available to check you in...just leave the car and get back on the beat up van for a 20 MPH ride back to the airport...as all traffic flies past you...and we had a plane to catch. Unbelievable. Like the saying goes...you get what you pay for. Spend the extra $10 or so and go someplace more reputable.

While E-Z Rent-A-Car is not a well-known company (we had not heard of it previously), vehicle selection, prices, and the representatives are as good as any. A short shuttle ride took us to the rental center, where easy-to-read signs directed us to the counter. The knowledgeable agent advised us as to a good car for our needs, and we were on our way in a short time. We would definitely consider using E-Z again.

Did not have the car I reserved. Tried to give me a car that smelled like an ashtray. Ended up with a minivan. Bill was marked no scratches had several major scratches on the car. Take pictures and inspect!

I travel a lot for work. Compared to other rental car companies, the staff was very helpful. The vehicle was a reasonable price. It was clean and very nice. Ironically, best economy sized vehicle Ive ever rented. Highly recommend.

I feel like I was taken advantage of by this company. We had just gotten off a long flight with two young, tired crabby children, and we were told it was a better deal and cheaper to prepay for fuel without being told the whole story. We ended up paying $81 for a whole tank of gas, and we only used 1/2 of a tank. We didnt get any of our money back. They dont reimburse anything. He said the gas prices are over $4 on the street, and EZ was only charging $3.37 a gallon. That was false information, because we saw gas prices a lot cheaper than $4! When we returned the car, the woman didnt even write down the correct information. She wrote down that the gas tank was on empty, when in reality we had only used a little less than half of a tank. Then, she wrote down that we drove 999 miles, which was also false information. Not sure if she was being lazy or if there was another reason for it. In the future we will stick with Enterprise or National because we know they dont have hidden fees or agendas. We really feel like we got scammed with this prepaid gas deal DONT PREPAY FOR THEIR GAS!!! On a positive note, we drove a nice Traverse for the week.

Booked a Camry through a Third party at a rate so good I thought there must be a catch. However when I arrived at the EZ counter there was no one in line and I was out of there in 5 minutes with the car I booked and at the price stated. No attempt to make me upgrade or take insurances - maybe because I prepaid through third party renter. The Camry was a 2018 hybrid clean as a whistle inside and out. Best car renting experience of my life. I usually dread the battle to get out of there with what I contracted for in under half an hour.

Loved this Car Rental Service! It was my second time using this service (First being in Florida) . The staff was so friendly and courteous. Straight to the point in terms of billing and no extra over charge after the rental, was used. ( One week and traveled from San Diego to Las Vegas to LA) The only problem is what everyone else is talking about, waited 45 minutes ! for the shuttle driver . When the driver finally came, we were relieved! Good thing it was our first time in Cali! Overall great experience with this establishment ! ...... Just change the shuttle driver!

I was worried when I read the reviews, but my experience was fine.The website says ring them on arrival and theyll come and get you. Seems reasonable. I rang, they came. Took maybe 15 minutes but thats OK by me. Of course instant would be great, but 15 is OK.Picking up the car was easy. Sign here, pay here, off you go.Dropping off was just as easy. Whats the mileage, how much fuel is left over, off you go.Waited about 10 minutes for shuttle back to airport. No problems.I may have just been lucky. I had a very good experience, everything went smoothly which doesnt always happen. But it worked for me.

The vast number of my experiences at car rental counters have been unpleasant. That was a really nice way to describe it. Perhaps its been the same for you? Shane Vidal, the representative at the E-Z Rent-A-Car desk at the San Diego airport made the process extremely smooth. The technology at the customer to employee interface must be improved because the whole transaction took under 3 minutes. Shane also added a personal touch of discussion and chatting that made my day. Best experience in the most unexpected situation.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I rented a car from E-Z Rent a car, San Diego Airport in September of 2017. It wad not a pleasant experience, which is why I write this review.While other rental companies had multiple booths open, E-Z only had one person processing customers. We came as number 3 in line, and had to wait more than one hour before it was our turn.E-Z tried to bully us into buying their insurance even tough we bought insurance when booking the car. They threatened us with refusing to deal with and talk to our insurance if something happened to the car and would go after us personally, and then we would have to seek reimbursement from our insurance company, If we bought another insurance through them right there then they would not go after us and deal with the insurance company. I refused but what company behaves like this? I called our insurance after we got the car and they confirmed if something would happen, they would deal with the E-Z direct and I was to refuse any claim that they sent to me.Stay away form E-Z Rent a car in San Diego Airport. There are better rental companies there that treats you with respect and wont lie and threaten you. And you also dont have to wait that long in line either, the other companies had a wait time of 5-10 minutes, and not more than an hour which we had to wait.

I wouldnt even give 1 start. I booked a reservation for LAX @12AM. I double checked the AM!!! When reviewing my reservation, my pick up & drop off are in a different city!!!! My trip hasnt even taken place yet, but I have been trying to contact this company. Their affiliate company (ADVANTAGE) who cant do anything for you except tell you the only way to contact them is through email. I sent emails out to them weeks ago!!!! Seems Im paying the price (AS MANY OF US HAVE) for not doing my own research. I have found other recent accounts of customers who were booked outside of their originally selected areas. I have a 10 year reunion to go to same day & I dont have the time to travel to the other city! I will be writing back after the trip takes place (June 10th)

I made a reservation one month prior to my trip with the make and model of the car and PRICE set. I received a confirmation the day before my trip with the said set price and kind of car. Upon arrival I was told they didnt have the car I reserved, would upgrade for 50% off the larger vehicle price and was then presented with an invoice that was more than double the price of my original reservation. The agent then offered a price that was slightly less, but still almost double the original price. Miraculously as I insisted I would not be paying that, the car that I had originally reserved suddenly became available!? Do not fall for their predatory up selling strategy!

We rented a car in San Francisco to drive to San Diego. The Kia Optima was clean although a bit dinged up. The car performed well and got us to San Diego just fine. Drop off was a snap and made all the more pleasant by Alex, a young woman who couldnt have been nicer. As luck would have it, we had to return to the drop off facility because we had left some items on the trunk of the car. Alex had found them and placed them in a safe place until we returned. We were surprised and grateful for her thoughtfulness. Airports in general are not very people friendly places. Alexs actions made our day . Thank you.......Alan M, Sun City, Ca.

My asthma inhaler was found when my visitor returned the car and the attendant said they would call me. They have not called. I reported the loss online. I have had no response. I finally reached a person at the 800 # who gave me a local # and all I got was a voicemail. This is terrible customer service. Dont ever rent from E-Z.New wrinkle: Now, 10 days later, I received a letter from a customer service specialist saying I should report the loss to the local office, which I did more than a week ago! Dont expect E-Z to treat you with even common courtesy or efficiency if you are foolish enough to rent from them.

My representative was dishonest and up-charged me for multiple things. My vehicle had issues with the maps program constantly disconnecting from the system while I was driving. The taillights kept going out. The backup camera would stay active despite driving forward. Customer service is terrible. 0/10 recommend.

Took a chance cuz ez had the best price. My experience was excellent. The agent Lynette was super sweet, as well as the other girl at the upstairs garage counter. I got a great car for a great price and had no problems at all. I had even extended my rental twice and it was no problem, the nice price was also extended.

Im giving it four stars because the process to check in was so very slow due to only 2 agents and 1 had a customer that would no leave or stop asking questions. I realize that is no fault of the agents, but it would have been good to have another more experienced agent (maybe supervisor) to show up and help her out. After I finally got to the counter the process was fast and the agent was very friendly.The only other negative thing is they charge $200 for a deposit that is supposed to be returned after the car is returned. I didnt buy the insurance, so thats their justification for the deposit.

Buyer Beware! Waited first 30 minutes for a shuttle while watching all the other rental company shuttles go by at least 3 or 4 times. Finally called the office. After getting a recording 3 times, the office finally answered and informed me that they were a small company and I had was supposed to call for the shuttle (did not know this). Waited another 30 minutes and still no shuttle. Called back and they said that the shuttle guy was out delivering customers and it would be another 20-30 minutes... and that I should take a taxi to the rental counter. Seriously? I cancelled my reservation and took the first available Budget bus and got a car for $5 more. I would not recommend this company AT ALL, unless you are broke and have tons of time to waste.

This place is a joke. The staff are rude and the office is unorganized. My encounter with Nick was especially unpleasant. The definition of unprofessional. I mean this guy is a real piece of work. If management is reading this, I would look for an upgrade. They try to up sell because they do not have the cars that you set up with your reservation. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle. Absolutely wonderful experience. Picked us up at the airport, the two vehicles were very nice. The return process was quick and painless and they took us back to the airport. If anyone has given them a bad review, I would feel confident stating that there must have been a misunderstanding on the part of the renter. Our experience with E Z Rent a Car was awesome.

Absolutely clueless about their own policies and incredibly unclear both online and by phone regarding very important details. Dont let your trip get ruined like mine, just choose someone else.

After we waited in line for 30+ minutes, we learned the car type we ordered in advance was not available so we had to upgrade for another $40 per day. Now late for our meeting, we took the car and found it was filthy! Clearly, it hadnt been vacuumed or wiped down in weeks. There was even dropped food still between the seats. When we returned the car, they offered us $20 off of a $400 fee for 3-day rental. Will never use them again!

Cheap and easy. The only down side was fact that they share their desk area with two other agencies. There were a ton of people, it was cramped and a little confusing which line you are supposed to be in. Once we figured that out, we had a long wait (about 30 mins). Once we got to the front of the line it was quick and easy to check in and getting the keys and car was simple as well. Checking the car back in at the end of our trip took about 2 minutes. We would use them again.

We had no problems with ez rental. Once I realized you had to call shuttle to be picked up, they arrived in 15 min. No problem! Check in was great. Girl was very nice and no problem checking in and getting on our way. Car is fine, nice and clean and rides nice. We are very happy with EZ rental and would use them again. Some people wanna pay as little as possible and get all amenities ! Thats just ridiculous ! We are please with what we got for the price and will gladly use same company when we return to San Diego. Thank you for providing the car that made a great vacation possible

Average experience. Great price. Their prices beat everyone. 3-1/2 stars. Read below.I got to a rental agent within 10 minutes - there were a lot of people in line but there were at least 8 rental agents. My rental agent was a little slow-moving but there was one customer that was being rude not only to the EZ rental agent there that was trying to accommodate them, but also to their family. So maybe it was throwing the people there off.I checked the receipt I got via email after I returned the car. It matched the price that I was promised when I reserved the car. So no complaints there.I reserved a mid-size and I (eventually) got a mid-size. The car I got had a hub-cap that was missing but I was too tired from the plane-ride to go back into the rental car center and ask for a different car. And I really wanted some In-And-Out Burger.Initially the rental agent offered me a Camry or Malibu, then right before he handed me the keys I asked him if the charges are the same...then he tells me the options he gave me arent mid-size cars and hed have to charge me $10 extra a day. I told him no thanks, I dont want extra charges. Unless in my tired state I completely missed something...it was sort of weird that he was trying to charge me extra without telling me. Make sure you dont take the bait and question everything.

I am currently waiting in the line for EZ car rental. I came directly to the second floor to pick up a vehicle not realizing that you had to check in on the first floor. I have been standing here waiting for my daughter to check us in on the first floor for more than 15 minutes. When I arrive there was no agent to inform us only a sign on the door stating that we needed to check in on the first floor. When an agent finally did arrive he did not acknowledge my presence. He walked past me several times and not so much as a good morning good afternoon.it was apparent that I am waiting to use your serviceSo the least you could have done was acknowledge my presence as a customer. The name of the individual who walked past me was Nick.As far as customer service goes one star is too much.

We had set up a rental for a car for 10 days, to be picked up at San Diego International Airport to be picked up on 9-16-2015 at 11 am, received the confirmation and directions to be picked up, when we arrived at the airport I called 4 times to be picked up and was sent to voice mail, i finally reached someone to be told that they would come to pick us up when the could and just to be aware they had over booked cars and there was at least a 2 hour wait and 6 people already waiting, an they couldnt confirm their would be a car at that point either. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was told they do not have one on sight. We ended up getting on another companies bus and got a rental car with upgrade for the same price we were going to pay EZ Rent-A-Car,FYI there were 2 others on that bus that were told the same thing!! bottom lineDO NOT BOOK A CAR FROM THEM IT MAY NOT BE THERE WHEN YOU ARE!!!

The best thing about this company was the price. But the desk agent was mildly unpleasant, informing me that, as a local, I had to provide proof of full comprehensive coverage, even though my credit card company has this. This ONLY goes for locals, NOT anyone flying in. Seems totally unfair.They then were deceptive on the price of gas, claiming $2.98 per gallon, but trying to charge me $38.00 for a 10-gallon tank (small car!). Needless to say, I pointed out the high price of gas ($3.80!) and declined the tank. To rent the car, I had to call my insurance and get unneeded coverage for an extra $70, making the price of this rental car NOT that great. The desk agent was completely unsympathetic, saying I could go around and look for another car if Id like. RENTER BEWARE!

Buyer beware - the online rental mentioned nothing about this, but when we came to pick up the car, we got major pressure to take 3rd party liability insurance, which cost almost as much as the car! They insisted that this was California law.... so check your regular car insurance to see if that would be covered, before you come to rent the car!Also, we rented a full-size car, supposedly a Toyota Camry or equivalent. There was not one Camry, nor a Honda Accord available, only a Kia Optima. In my opinion, not quite as good, although it drove decently.Otherwise, experience was fine.

After seeing a number of 1 star reviews, I was concerned about renting a car from E-Z Car Rental. I almost cancelled my reservation. I am glad I did not. The staff at the San Diego desk was quick and courteous. I got a great price on a Corrolla for the week. The staff in the garage were also quick and courteous. It was the best rental experience I have had, or at least that I can remember. I wish all my car rental experiences were this good.

Nothing EZ about it... Where do I begin, first I waited at the airport for 30 minutes before the shuttle came while all other rental company shuttles came 3 to 4 times in that time span. Next I got to the rental trailer and there were three people ahead of me, 15 minutes per person left me another 45 minutes behind schedule. I got to the front desk and they told me they were out of cars, they offered and upgrade I didnt seem too happy about giving it for free.When I came to drop the car off, we were told that we were not charged for the car and we needed to go inside to make payment. As he explained it the shuttle was leaving. We missed the shuttle. It has been 15 minutes and I am still sitting here waiting for the shuttle... Who knows how long Ill be here or if I will even make my flight.I would probably recommend any other company even if it does cost more money.

We arrived in San Diego at the rental car center at the airport. We had a full size car reserved. All they had was a sub-compact. That wasnt going to work. We went next door to E-Z Rent-A-Car. They got us a full size car and on our merry way. It was $40 more for the weekly rental but they came through without over charging us. Next trip, if we can rent through E-Z Rent-A-Car, It will be a done deal!

Great people. Good vehicles. Prices better than most. Highly recommend And also recommend that you get their insurance coverage. Didnt need it but gave us piece of mind. Only problem was didnt let uss know about the $200 deposit holding fee until we got to the counter. Was a shock on the finances and cut into our spending money since we had a senior citizen budget. Did get the money back in our bank the day after we got back though so all ended ok. Thank yall for providing good service.

Terrible experience. I highly recommend using a more reputable and established rental service. I arrived at the San Diego aiport and navigated my way to the rental car shuttle area. After sitting for about 10 minutes watching the other shuttles for the other companies come and go I eventually called the E-Z office; however, there was no answer. After 3 more calls with no answer I had to call the 1-800 reservation line and they eventually connected me through to the office. I was then informed that there is not shuttle that comes by at regular intervals but that I was supposed to call and request the shuttle. The shuttle arrived about 20 minutes later. The shuttle was not a bus like the other companies but was instead a dirty cargo van with seats. I was then driven far away from the airport to the dirty run-down rental office.At that point I was asked if I wouldnt mind driving one of their minivans. I declined and stated that I would prefer to drive the vehicle that I had reserved. (That was, not surprisingly, the reason that I reserved it!) I was then told that the only vehicle available was a minivan. Since it took so long to actually get to the office I did not have time to go to another company so I accepted the minivan.Then the rental agent informed me that the tank had not been topped off. Nevertheless she told me that I had to initial a portion of the rental contract that required me to return the vehicle with a full tank! Luckily I am a lawyer and I read contracts before I sign them but the average person would probably just have initialled that provision of the contract. I refused to initial the provision. This was perhaps the most disturbing part of my experience. Poor customer service and business management are one thing, but this was an intentional act of dishonesty and manipulation. Obviously the intent was to take advantage of people who dont read the fine print of the rental contract. This is not a trustworthy company.After I refused to initial that portion of the contract I was told that I could take the van anyway. I had to do a significant amount of driving and incurred extra expense due to driving a van rather than a small sedan.My overall recommendation is to avoid this company. It is not worth the headaches. There are many other choices at the San Diego airport who offer much better customer service and reliability.

Today was a pretty miserable experience at E-Z car rental. It is evident the employees don’t enjoy the environment and it must be high pressure to sell the add one. From the moment we stepped into the garage, to condescendingly trying to be sold insurance, to almost being an inconvenience to the car attendant, this place was a real bummer. This place is horrible. I took a chance and ignored the horrible reviews only to have this place basically ruin our vacation. Our flight was 1 hour late and when I called to get the shuttle bus when we landed at SAN (1 hour and 20 minutes after our reservation time) I was informed that we were late and our reservation had been cancelled and our mini van had already been rented. I argued for 20 minutes and was told there was nothing they could do. They asked if Id like to be transferred to customer service which turned out to be an anonymous voice mail box. These people are idiots. Do not bet your vacation on them. Im sorry I did.

0 Stars, this company is a rip off. My daughter didnt have a credit card, which she didnt know you needed one. Then they refused to use my credit card. So we had to have a $130.00 uber from San Diego to Riverside. So after she didnt get the car. They added a upgraded car and extra driver charge on a vehicle she never rented at a $157.00..Price line is to blame here also. Glad Ill never use either. Expedia is the way to go...

Thirty minute wait at airport for shuttle, have to call them to let them know. Gave me a minivan though I asked for an economy, which would have saved on gas. Told my I could pay for gas up front and bring it back empty, charged me for full tank and there was half a tank - had to make them change it. Also, said I wasnt going to be charged, and the next day my card was debited for the amount they screwed up on the first time. Shop elsewhere, it will probably cost you the same after all is said and done to go somewhere else anyway.

Have been denied service because as a local renter had to present a proof of transferable insurance which I did not have with me. Staff behavior was disgusting and rather than taking a ride back home to bring the proof of ins. I was recommended to leave to let me serve customers behind you. This experience pretty much ruined the holidays.

Called San Diego airport EZ rent-a-car 3 times before we took of Honolulu and they did not answer once. We were going to get in late so I was nervous about the pick up time.I called there 800 number who told me that the rental place was open 24 hours which it wasnt. We landed at 11:40; the rental car center did not answer the phone at that time either. Long story short we never got a car. This place is HORRIBLE. I tried renting from their Orlando location before too which wasnt as bas of an experience but not great. This company is just terrible.

The first time I reserve my rental, they said they dont have the car available!!! then I had to rent from another company. The second time they charge me much more than the value in reservation. I left my key chain in the car and flew back home and I called them multiple times, nobody answered the phone and it was just an annoying automatic machine, I left multiple messages ask them to call me back, nobody did. eventually I called the headquarter and they asked someone to call me back, she told me to schedule a UPS pickup and I did but they still couldnt put the key chain in a box to give it to UPS driver. again I called them multiple times they didnt respond. I will never rent a car from this company ever. Imagine what would happen if you are stuck in the road side with a broken car, call and nobody answer!!!

Horrible customer service! Our flight was delayed so we were going to arrive after the rental counter closed. I called to make adjustments to the reservation and the customer service representative said they would hold the reservation for 24 hours. I took a Lyft to the airport the next morning and they said they had given away my car and then they tried to charge me double the price for a rental. Horrible customer service. Such a scam! We rented from another company.

I had a very very bad experience with EZ rental car company. I came in to pick up my car at almost midnight coz I arrived at the airport at around 11:30pm, just to find out that they dont have a car available for me and for the rest of the people lined up in their office. All of us had reservations. I made a reservation 1 month prior to picking up the car. I asked EZ personnel assigned that night if they can give us any car coz its almos 1am and i have an infant with me, he just simply said We dont have a car for you. No sorry, no nothing! I was just simply so disappointed. I ended up paying an extra $300 to get another car from a different car company. If I can give them a 0 star I would. They didnt even make an effort to book us to another rental company. Now I just wasted an extra $300 because of this irresponsible company! I will never ever book a car with them. Is there anything we can do to reimburse that extra payment that I made? Coz it was 100% not my fault. They told people that we shoud have called to confirm that a car is available but I have been calling them the whole day and nobody ever answered. It was very upsetting!!!

Was charged $600 for late return despite returning on time. Provided proof of returning on time (I flew out of state the same morning) and they said it will be fixed withing 24-48 hours. 48 hours later -- no response.

WOW best Rental without the Hastle or Hustle dont be a know it all get the insurance it bypasses all the B.S. every single person at the San Diego Airport made my Crappy Vacation better. Thanks to you folks I am going to be ok as opposed to Fubar great cars, Clean non smokers full tank of gas and there guys at checkout are laid back and dont waste time and Peron in the garage is Very Helpful if I had my Company here I would steal them from you. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The car broke down and I was stranded for 18 hours and could only speak with customer service in a foreign country because they will not give out phone numbers to their local branch where I rented the car.

Arrived and there was no shuttle available, Angel from the counter said to get a cab ride there and that I will be reimbursed. Its almost 3 months and still have not received the reimbursement, they dont answer my emails or calls.

E-Z is not Easy. They are definitely the worst car rental company - they do not know their own policies. We called to confirm rental amd were told we were good to go and came in and were told as local residents we couldnt get the vehicle we reserved. They tried to polish a turd by making us pay more to get a smaller car that wouldnt accommodate all our passengers or our camping gear. They were extremely rude - and the guy was playing games on his phone and was completely unhelpful. My girlfriend was put on the phone with a manager who screamed at her. It would be better to hitchhike than try to get these knucklehead scam artists to help.

Pure misery!On the arrival, waited for 20 minutes for the shuttle, only to be told to wait for another 30 minutes as they have only one shuttle running back and forth. Upon arriving to the counter, it took another half an hour to get out (despite a pre-paid reservation) as there was only one clerk handling a guest who spoke no English and the other clerk was conveniently having a lunch break. Of note there were 5 customers behind me waiting.Similar thing upon return.Car itself was fine.While I rented from E-Z in Orlando and Seattle and experience was great, based on this experience, will never rent from them again.

We have waited at the airport for 1.5 h for the shuttle to pick us up. We could arrive at the hotel around 10:45pm, instead we arrived at the hotel after 1am in the morning. And the car we got was the last car in the lot which is not the car we reserved and it is so small. Everybody feels very uncomfortable. And the agent just pushes us away for exchange another car. And keep telling us it is the last car. I would never consider e-z rent a car in the future and stop my friends even considering your company.

Worst Car Rental company in DC. You get what you pay for and nothing more. The staff was extremely slow and unorganized. The employee just sat the contract in front of me expecting me to know where to sign because their computers were down. They didnt have the car I reserved and instead of upgrading me to a different one they down graded me. They sent me to the wrong car. The car was dirty and had not been cleaned. There was no rental return line, so I had to wait 35 min in line to get a receipt. Once I got to the counter the lady told me the receipt would be emailed, it never was. Trying to call now but the phone number on the rental contract doesnt work.........

It took an hour for the shuttle to pick us up after 2 phone calls. Other folks had waited even longer. The staff was completely unorganized and understaffed. Finally, we had to wait for the car to get cleaned. I didnt care about that, I was just sick of waiting. Spend a little more for your sanity!

I have booked the car through Expedia in EZ Rent Company for $164.The price I was forced to pay on the EZ counter was $ 374. They insisted that additional $214 is a mandatory insurance required since I do not have US driving license. I objected this; moreover I wanted to use my US credit card which covers additional insurance. But they demanded to prove it (!) and since I have not with me any document from this credit card company and it was after midnight, I gave in. I am sure that $214 cannot be mandatory insurance for four days. Its obviously some deceptive trick.I have chosen this small company because their booking price was the lowest one. The final price turned out to be the highest.I waited for their shuttle 40 min. They gave me car with a tank full only 3/4.Terrible experience.

We arrived in San Diego, and waited for a shuttle to the E-Z car rental. After waiting and not seeing a shuttle we called them, and they informed us both there shuttles were down and we would have to catch a cab and be reimbursed for the cab Fees. The cab was $19.21 and we were not reimbursed when we rented a car. We were told the fee for rental wouldnt come out until we returned the car, and it instantly came out, with a 200.00 deposit, in which their website states no deposit. We went in to ask a few questions about the fees and the holding time for the 200.00 and they took off our credit card. While asking these questions, the employee processed a return.. 8 hours before our flight.Customer service was extremely poor.Information and procedures were blanketed with no proper communication.When we were waiting for a shuttle (hours early!) two other customers left the doors with complaints. One saying she waited hours for her car, and had poor service, screaming nobody should ever leave there ****ing car hear this company is horrible I do not recommend using E-Z rentals to anyone.

Worst rental car experience ever.Besides i advise all potential suicidal customers attracted by low prices advertised by EZ that they check throughly their final invoice, 35 % of it has been overcharged to mine recently.They never reply to email and when you call them they tell you they call you back. How sloppy and miserable in America in 2015.

I completely agree with the other reviews. If you have a choice DO NOT USE EZ. Cars are not clean, and they will try to slide things by you like damages cars thst had been smoked in previously (smell really vad) and try to charge you. At Atlanta airport there was no one at the kiosk for 15 minutes and when the employee showed up she ignored us. When she returned she was basically yelling at us (condesending) to use the phone at the counter. We dialed and it rang we got no one. 30 min latet she returned and told us to go upstairs and talk to someone else, no counter nothing. We had to just leave the keys with the lot attendant who cleans the vehicles. If your looking for a sure thing, stressfree tranation look elsewhere. Taking taxis everywhere would have been less of a pain

Prices on their website are completely different from the real ones couse when you are there to pick up the car you HAVE TO add a kind of car insurance. For example, my rate for 14days was 140$ but there became about 500$. Avoid this place!!!

This guy john is rude, unaccommodating and ignoring the person who is right on front of him for help. We are in line just watching and unfortunately cannot cancel because the rental is already paid for by the business! But the person he is still trying to help has been with him an hour and half! Thats ridiculous! The company made a mistake on their rental and they need to be helped!!!!! Im just a bystander watching them be disrespected and given the run around!! Makes me angry we all have places to be and he just has no snap! Lets go somebody get someone else here to help us

Absolutely disgraceful. Booked a car for one day - returned it on time - should have cost $69 total. When I receive the invoice they charged me for 3 extra days and a $100 upgrade - I was in utter shock and disbelief. How can a business charge someone $300 dollars extra for something that didnt even occur? Upon contacting them the customer service team was extremely difficult to work with. Still havent received my money back and it is their mistake entirely. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM EZ OR THEIR PARENT COMPANY ADVANTAGE. ABSOLUTE ROBBERY.

Decided on the pre-purchase fuel option. (you commit to a full tank at 2.99/gal (same as pump) regardless of level when returned.) but then when we returned the car with half tank we where charged the no-pre-purchase price of 8.99/gal. Stood in line for an hr+ to get it corrected. NOT a convenience at that point!
