The family that runs the joint are awesome. Their baby is adorable, and grampa is amazeballs. Gave my youngest an amazing mohawk with some lines straight razored in, treated him like a grown up and mybson really appreciated it.

Great Barbers and awesome little shop. Love the motif! Had my hair cut here twice now and loved it both times. Nothing like a fresh fade to make your scalp tingle! The beer is a nice touch too! It was a little pricier than what I normally paid for previously, but that could be because of covid and Im willing to dish it out to support a local business that I know has had to close due to shutdowns and also for the fabulous cuts.

This became my local barbershop, call ahead and set up an app and enjoy! Awesome attention to detail, professional environment and great overall experience. I can’t believe I had not been here in all the 5 years I’ve been living in Crown Point/Pacific Beach. Can’t say no one told you once you read this one!

Recommend you call ahead and confirm your barber is coming to your appointment. I was no-showed twice. Barber was “running a quick errand.” Other staff could not have cared less. No comp offered. There are several decent/good barbershops in PB but this spot is my favorite. Good setup with great vibes. Barbers definitely take their time to cut your hair the way you want it. Even when there is a line of people waiting, they still take their time. $25 Haircuts include a cold beer and they are typically playing sports on the TV. They finish the cup with hot towels and straight razors to clean up the edges. Most of the time you would be safe as a walk-in without having to wait long but I always prefer to call ahead, if possible, to make sure there isnt a long wait.

Walked in to Redds and immediately felt a friendly and casual vibe. Redd cut my hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted. This is not a high volume one size fits all chop shop. Great staff and excellent haircuts. Lots of compliments from friends and coworkers.

Since moving to San Diego I will only go to Joe to have my hair cut. Joe is a down to earth dude who is easy to strike up a conversation with and always listens to what you want done. While other barbers may rush through haircuts once a line develops, Joe refuses. Each client is adequately taken care of and treated as if they were his best. Look no further than Joe the barber to clean that mop.

Showed up 10 mins early for my appointment. Barber still wasn’t there after 23 mins of my appointment time.Response: I don’t want to be that guy but running an errand (as I was told) and family emergency are a little different. I totally would’ve understood that but in that case just tell me that’s the case and I would’ve happily rescheduled. Hope all is well though.

I went there with my father, who had his first beard cut and really appreciated it.Everything was nice, just enough talking and everything was smooth.45 dollars for Haircut + beard cut, with hot towel, massage, aftershave etc.. It was definitly worth the money !If I come back to SD one day, I would come back here for sure.And their t-shirts were awesome so i bought one, souvenirs for a long time thanks again :)

Redds is a perfect neighborhood barbershop. They can handle all kinds of hair (mine is ultra-fine), they give you the amount of conversation you want, and give you a beer to enjoy while youre getting your cut. Old-school decor, new-school service. Have a chat with Redd if you have the chance - hes had a really interesting life and is truly welcoming. Luis gave me a perfect hipster cut on my second visit.Im a little worried they will blow up and Ill have to wait an hour to get a cut - but it would be worth it. They deserve all the success that is coming their way.

Walked by this shop every week before they even opened. Basard used to wave at me and say “any time man”. Finally decided to go in one day and haven’t stopped going back since. The staff are very competent. Best place for Cut, Shave, hot towel, hands down. This is truly a full service barber shop with great people and not to mention complementary beers 🍺.

Just moved to PB from Boston, and Redd absolutely hooked it up with a dope haircut. I highly recommend this place to anyone that doesnt want to look like they just left Supercuts after getting a $10 haircut. Redds is definitely whats up, and Im sure to be back soon.

I was in the navy for 5 years and got a hair cut at least every 2 weeks. So Ive spent lots of time in barber shops and I know a good shop when I see one. Redds is the best Ive ever been to! A great cut, face massage, straight razor line up, hot towels, products and most importantly complementary BEER! Quality beer at that. You will leave overly satisfied with your cut and a little buzzed. 🖒

Not worth the money. I paid $35 for a haircut and a beard line up. I asked for about 1/4 inch off the top and walked out with about 2 inches off the top. The fade was decent I guess, but I was in there for a little over an hour... Ive gotten better haircuts for $7 elsewhere.

Great haircuts! But that is not why I go to Redds. The atmosphere is relaxed and the conversation is genuinely interesting. Redds has that old school barber feel and that has made me a customer for life.

Whilst on holidays from Australia I wanted a classic barber shop hair cut and I was not disappointed, I highly recommend this place anyone after a true barber style cut👍

Been here 4 or 5 times, and while the 1st cut was great, each got sloppier and sloppier after that. Tonight they told me the price rose to $30 too, when it clearly says $25 on the wall. Won’t be back.

Best barber shop in pb, been going here for years but they recently restored place well. Hot towels, full service and very knowledgeable. Classic feeling with a fresh classic barber shop touch yet a modern twist. Freindly and very professional. Cold beverages and easy parking. Open late too, Winner winner chicken dinner! Pacific Beach gem!

Basard is the guy to go too. My edges are fading alot on me now so its hard to find a good barber that wont mess me up and basard makes it not even look noticeable at all after hes done. I defenelty will be coming back and no where else.

Went to Redds yesterday being that I live down the street and they have positive reviews. I was instantly greeted and was offered an ice cold beverage by my soon to be barber. The wait was approximately 30 mins as the they were currently working. Looking around the shop if very clean and has recently been renovated. Plenty of seating for waiting clientele.I was given an amazing detailed cut by co-owner Hilse. The conversation kept me entertained as she managed to transform my hair from derelict mess to wolf of wall street. Straight razor lining and hot towel! 10 out of 10 will come back!
