The skill level at this barber has plummeted . After waiting for over half an hour (when I was the first one in line at opening) and somehow it was finally my turn to get a haircut, I showed the barber this photograph. I asked her to cut my sideburns into a “point” like in the photo. She said “No No I can’t do that, you will have to wait and try someone else”.Also, I’ve been going to this barber off and on for a years. They say that they don’t take appointments, but MANY times I’ve come and my “place in line” becomes eternal because Manny HAS taken appointments all day. Then he ignores you, allowing you to sit and wait for a haircut that’s never gonna happen. . I’m done with this place for good.

Five star haircuts, these guys can design your next cut and youll look sharp after. Kids haircuts also. Remember it takes times to get that fresh look so be prepared to wait. They have a small amount of hair products. TVs in the center of the room is nice, cash only, ATM on site, ice cream place next door

Pricy but worth it.

Received the best hair cut I’ve had in years for half the cost of a salon. The ladies were friendly and the shop was meticulously cleaned after every customer. Speaking Spanish isn’t a requirement but it definitely helps.

Today was my first time at Anakins barber shop and I had an incredible experience! My barber was Monse, shes a very professional and warm person, taking her time to design and shape the cut, as well as providing maximum comfort for the customer. I highly reccomend her. The rest of the staff were friendly as well and the interior design is very visually appealing. Anakins barber is truly a San Diego gem!

So far 2 employees cut my hair and the done a great job. Plus their prices are great. I believe best prices compare to other barbers. Its true that sometimes the waiting line can take long but these type of fades,tapers, line ups do required details which means time. Recommendation... Go when hours arent busy..

The stylists are very skilled, quick and they listen to what you want. The shop os clean and has tvs viewable from every chair.

This place is the best! They know what theyre doing, they can use a straight razor on your scalp. They can fade, cut, color and all for a reasonable price. If you are looking for something artistic and stylish, see one of the guys. If you were looking for a common cut, see one of the ladies. Sometimes there is a line, but it is worth it to wait. If you have not been to annikins and you are looking for a 10 to $12 haircut that is awesome and should cost you 40 or $50 yes then you deserve to try Anakins. I have been coming to this barbershop for about 7 years. Sometimes when Im not nearby I will go somewhere else and 95% of the time I wish I would have just made the trip to Anakins, because they are the best for real.

My favorite barber shop. I dont go anywhere else. Very friendly atmosphere, and super close by.

They do not accept credit cards. You have to use their ATM machine and they charge you $3.00. They do a good job on hair. I widh they did a hot towel and straight razor shave, but they dont. Wait times are long on busy days.

This 1 star only applies to the lady on the end who is concentrating on everything but cutting your hair. On the phone, full conversations with other customers while running the clippers over my skull like she’s mowing the lawn.Despite the amount of hair on my head (or lack of) it still hurts when your Edward Scissorhands is gouging my head and stabbing me. I’ve gone to her before and it’s the same experience each time. I thought I’d give her a 4th chance but no. There’s always some hair left on my neck and behind my ears. I asked for a shave; the easiest cut on the planet.All the other barbers in there are legit. 5 stars to them.

The place is chill and all but I made the mistake of cutting it with a new guy. I usually don’t care about my hair but damn this time I’m highly disappointed. Guess it’s my fault for not waiting for another barber. Idk what the Barbers name it was something aka “sauve” I highly suggest the fellow colleagues train him a bit more cause I think anyone else who cares a bit more about their hair would probably be more confrontational and he may get in some trouble
