Awesome place to get a men’s haircut! The Salon is very modern and clean. The manager Victoria was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Make sure to ask for Armando (he does an amazing job and is very thorough). I am very picky with my hair and this was the best haircut I have ever gotten. Will definitely be going back!

I came with good amount of curls here, I asked my stylist I do not want to lose my curls and also showed him a picture of what I wanted. But I ended up with completely opposite look . The haircut was uneven and I might end up going for a haircut again . I thought they had best service as they are charging 50$. But it is not even worth a buck . I seriously do not want to recommend any one with curly hair to go here . Also not a good experience as the stylist was in a rush instead of asking for details.Adding to this review, I called them back again as requested by Victoria and Mona was my stylist and she clearly understood whats better for my hair . She corrected this and made it look better. I really appreciate their efforts to clean the style up .

I’ve been going here to Brittany for a few months now while the girl who typically cuts my hair is on maternity leave. The quality of the haircut is considerably better than any place I’ve ever been — even in Paris where I had to pay over 100 € for a haircut a few times. I haven’t gone to anyone else here besides Brittany, so I can’t speak to the others, but Brittany is phenomenal. She’s really nice and fun to talk to, and is really cool about me being someone who never shuts the F up. But more importantly, she’s just really talented at what she does.I think it is worth mentioning that they have a membership where you get like 7 haircuts and 7 clean ups, and since I get my haircut every two weeks it’s been a great thing for me. Bottom line: if you’re willing to pay a tiny bit extra, you’ll get a haircut that is 1000x better than anywhere else around. And seriously, the price is barely more than places like Good Clips, or whatever it’s called. Go see my girl Brittany — she’s the best!!

Wow!!! This place is awesome. Nora did a great job with cutting my hair and is very knowledgeable with style and products. It was my first time going to a men’s salon. In the past I’ve always gone to barber shops. They wash your hair and style it so your ready to go out right after! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back from now on!TLDR: If you are considering going here DO IT!

Lucia did a fantastic job - first pro hair cut in over a year (COVID...) and couldnt be happier. The salon is fantastic, private rooms make for a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. Front desk staff very welcoming, everyone very friendly and professional. Not the cheapest haircut youll ever have, but you definitely get what you pay for!

I booked an appointment after reading the reviews and could not be happier. My stylist was Armando and he did such an amazing job. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and put in so much effort to make sure that I left happy.It was easily the best haircut experience I have ever had.

What an absolutely awful experience I had here. It has taken me awhile to post about it but potential customers should be warned that my stylist let me pay nearly $50 for an absolutely asymmetrical fade in the back of my head, not say anything about how terrible it looked, and let me leave. I came back the next day to show the employees in the front how bad it was and that I wanted it fixed. They literally had to words once I showed them the cut. Terrible treatment.

Faith!!! If you’re looking for a talented and skilled barber go and see Faith. She is good with all types of hair and very knowledgeable with hair. Not everyone can cut my texture of hair and Faith nails it Everytime! Very few have cut my hair with zero discrepancies but she is certainly one. At this point i don’t even have to check my hair after the cut i know she did her best. Never anything below amazing. Definitely worth every penny. Also if you receive a massage or wash with your service she’s just as good with that too. Definitely a good asset to the 18/8 Team.

I grew my hair out and have never gotten a haircut with long hair however when I went into 18 eight they handled a haircut with class listen to my concerns and advise me towards a great cut will definitely be back

I am a regular to 18|8 and this past week I had an executive haircut with Adrian. I was pleasantly surprised. First off, he took his time in making sure that the length of my hair was just right. Then, at the end of the session, he gave me the BEST shoulder and neck massage. I felt so relaxed. Additionally, he nailed the style I wanted for my hair and helped me figure out how to recreate it on my own. I can say that my session was the best haircut I have had at 18|8. If you want a great experience, I highly recommend booking a session with Adrian.

My go to place for haircuts. They have mostly very good stylists. Nice environment. Free coffee and drinks if you like. Shampoo before and after included with hot towel finish. Only it is a bit pricey for haircuts. Negative experience when stylists try to sell products really hard once I checked out and they already put two products on the bill that I never even said I want to buy. But that was once hopefully a rare event.

Ive been using this salon for about a year. The place is incredible. Front office staff is polite and really takes care of you. The place is clean and has a good vibe. Brittany is a great stylist! Highly recommend for anybody who is looking for a professional cut and quality service.

I have never looked forward to something as simple as getting my hair cut before meeting her over a year ago. Her fades are extremely clean. There I was, confused and disoriented in the Southern Californian world of men with clean cut looks and spectacular beards. I was lost, surely there was no place for one who possessed a beard as haggard as mine. I felt ostracized from society, certain I would inevitably die alone with a beard unkempt. What would my family say? They would for sure have a closed casket. Alas! As i wallowed in the shame and self pity that was all consuming, an angel of hair styling by the name of Faith Licon shined an illuminating beacon with which she showed me the way to my Holy Grail: a well trimmed beard. My god, I have never known such service! She treated me as if I were a god among men, as personable and welcoming as ones dearest friend. I left there in such high spirits and elevated confidence, I thought that I might just ask that girl out, go for that promotion, and finally make the moves to purchase my own house. My possibilities are endless, and I owe it to that wonderful saint of a barber by the name of Faith.

I’m not one to post reviews but the experience I had with Adrian at this 18/8 Location I just had too. He was amazing made me feel very comfortable from the beginning and took time to really break down the haircut I was envisioning but couldn’t explain. Over all amazing job from a very talented barber I will return soon and ask for him again, I suggest everyone looking for a top tier experience where you know your gonna be in good hands to ask for Adrian.

Best place for a haircut!!!

Got my first ever Barber Shop shave here last night and to be honest I was expecting better. The experience itself was really nice, but I could have shaven WAY closer myself at home. It wasnt just my barber either, my dad in the chair next to me had whiskers coming out of his lip that we noticed an hour after we left.Come here for the free beer and the hot towels. Not for a close shave.

Had a haircut today for the first time at 18/8 and I must say Faith did an excellent job cutting my hair. She nailed the style I was looking for. I would definitely go back.

Did not have actual experience. Tried to call & make an appointment. For 15 minutes was listening to same welcome to 18-8 phrase, and the hanged up. The minimum you should is to play some calm cusic during the wait. More and more businesses offer to call you back... Once again: you could have the best Masters in SD, but whats the value of it if I cant reach you?

Tl;dr I really recommend Adrian, and this place. Everything is high quality.Book your appointment; and stop considering if its worth it or not, because its well worth the money. If you dont know what type of cut you want, dont worry, theyll know what will look good, but if you do know, theyll probably make it better. And if you wanna create that great hairstyle everyday, theyll show/teach you how.My first cut here was ~2 years ago, and I had a few cuts with Ziri, and can recommend her, she does a great job. After trying a few other places, it was obvious 18|8 is top quality in SD, and I came back to try another stylist. My cuts with Adrian have only been very clean, very professional, and very relaxed. After a cut, youll know why I say this guy is skilled, and I could go on, but this is already a long review.Highly recommend this place. Also, the products they carry are amazing.

What a great experience! I went in for some pre wedding pampering and cleaning up but will definitely be back. I am sure that all are good but Brittany is great a true professional and very skilled at her craft.

Awesome place. Great haircut and great service. It is as the name implies - caters to men. It is very clean and the staff is helpful, friendly and easy on the eyes. They offer you a drink (water or beer) as soon as you check in. There is a dressing room to put on a robe to keep from getting hair clippings on your shirt, and they do a before and after shampoo and condition. You are well taken care of here.

I would like to say, this place is great. I started coming here just a few months ago and i love it. Once you walk in, youre greeted by the receptionist and offered a beer ! The service is amazing. Nora is the girl to go too for your haircut/grooming needs. Shes wonderul, pays alot of attention to detail, and I always walk out looking fresh and feeling like a new man. Her warm smile makes the whole experience great and relaxing.

No prices listed on the website and had to call to get one - classic haircuts start at $45, but cost will go up depending on who you get assigned. Not clear how much my haircut will cost even after my call. Ive received a hair cut at this location a few years back and remember the cost was over $65 and I did not go back. Customer beware, sketchy pricing!

Worse haircut I ever had in my entire life. For $42 I expected equal cut on both sides. My hair now look like I got haircut from $9.99 barber shop. I wish I could give Zero stars and post a picture so whoever read this comment can be the judge.

Brittany is the best. She knew exactly what I wanted and remembered everything we had talked about when we met before.

Teffi is an absolute professional with a pair of scissors and a razor. As long as she is working in San Diego, I will be going to her for a hair cut. The amount of talent this young women possesses is incredible. I came to Teffi with some serious over grown lettuce and looked like a bum. Over the next hour, she transformed me into a clean cut and sophisticated looking gentlemen. I have never in my life been so happy with a hair cut. I have since returned to Teffi four times and will continue to schedule appointments with her.
