Took my Subaru in for a brake and turbo problem. They called me to let me know about how much it would be and about how much time it would take. Never once did they call to add more stuff that I didnt need. Nor did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me cause I know nothing about cars and am a female. They made me feel like wanted to do a good job. And now my car runs perfect! Until I brake something else😒

I take care of my cars. I was taking my Altima and Camry Hybrid to the dealers. I drive a lot and it was killing me. I found out about Petteys Auto from some friends. What a change! And Im not talking Spare Change! Andrew gives me great service, he gives me the straight scoop. For example; I purchased a set of tires from a local tire shop, NOT Petteys the manager called me over to show me why I needed new struts, they had some oil residue on the shock. That was going to be $1400. I told the manager I would get back to them. I spoke to Andrew Pettey, he said when youre due for the next service well check it out. He did and I saved $1400!! I didnt need struts. This is a family run shop Andrew and Karen are great, I guess thats why theyve been in business 30 something years.

Love this place! I currently have my Lexus there, and it has a 2JZ-GTE VVT-i swap that another shop did. Unfortunately (and I knew this was coming after reviewing the car on my own time), I had the swap done at another shop in Santa Ana, which turned out to be a nightmare of a job. Justin (shop mechanic @ Petteys) has gone over the entire car and worked with Andrew to provide me a list of everything that needs to be fixed. They prioritized the listing for me so that we could tackle the necessary items that needed to be fixed/replaced right off the bat.I am just relieved that my car is finally at a shop that isnt going to try and just take my money without providing quality work. There are way too many shops out there that will.
